AN: Here's the next chap. Sorry for not updating. I had no internet access there for a while(and I'm lazy).

The memories danced before me, but none of them were incriminating yet. These were of the happier days when it was just Aunt May, Uncle Ben, and I. I was so small that I couldn't comprehend our financial problems and Harry wasn't there for me to worry about. It was peaceful, and I was never alone.

Tony appearing over me woke me from the slumber Loki had put me under in order to look at my memories. "What did you do to him?"

"Nothing he won't recover from." Loki snarled from his place in the floor of the living room. All of the Avengers were currently present, and Thor was locking his brother's hands into cuffs. I blinked around, confused, "Did I miss something?"

Tony laughed and I took in his bruised and cut face, "A whole war."

I glared at Loki. "I really wanted to see that one."

The Avengers cracked smiles (in widows and Cap's case) or bust into full out laughter (in every one else' case.) I sat up slowly, head pounding and feeling extremely weak. Tony collapsed on the couch beside me, smiling and happy.

I looked at the other Avengers and raised my hand in greeting. "It's nice to officially meet you."

The others came to join us in the sitting room, perching on couches and sitting on the floor in the Hulk's case. "So I guess you won this war."

"Yeah, but New York's got a lot of repairs to take care of now." Tony grinned.

"I suppose we'll be helping with those, right?"

"Oh yeah." Tony grinned in anticipation.

I looked at the rest of the group. "Where are you guys going now?"

"Back to the helicarrier and onto the next mission same with Clint." Widow said, and Clint nodded.

Everyone looked at Captain. "I'm out to explore the world."

"You won't see much that you like." I took another look at him, at his eyes that could see the best in every one, "Than again, you might."

Now we looked at the shirtless and now de-morphed Bruce. He gave us a humorless smile, "If they don't lock the monster up, back to where they took me from."

I looked hard at Bruce. He couldn't possibly think… after all he did for the other Avengers and his ruthless grip on the deepest part of himself, the ugly part the best of heroes sometimes can't keep under control, he can't possibly think he's a monster! But he did. His shifting feet and dropping gaze spoke of shame, where he ought to feel proud.

The others had already moved on to Thor, excepting Bruce's answer, "I will go back to Asgard with my brother." His voice wasn't quite its usual boom.

"Well, I'm going to take a nap." I stretched and tried to get up. My head swam and I fell back.

Tony gave me a concerned look. "Are you alright?"

"Fine," I grit out.

He sighed and shook his head, "No you aren't. What did he do to you?"

"Don't worry, I've had worse." I winced at my slip, knowing it would prompt questions.

"Are you in a gang?"

I let out a loud peal of laughter followed by several uncontrollable snorts, Tony chuckled too. "Stupid question, huh?"

"Very." I gasped out, the little physical exertion caused by laughing leaving me out of breath.

"He's not who you think he is." Loki smirked at me and I saw exactly what he knew. My most precious secret was in his hands, and he intended to take me out with him.

So I looked him straight in the eyes and with a simple sentence took all his power away, "Go ahead and tell them. I don't mind."

He blinked, bewildered, and then his face turned to one of understanding. "You've decided to tell them." He looked angry at the chance to potentially ruin my life taken out of his hands, but I was resolute on the matter.

I looked at all of the small group's faces. I didn't know them well now, and they weren't yet family, but they would be. I could feel it; these people would be closer to me than anyone else would ever be, and the least they deserved would be to know that I was like them. I may have been reluctant before, with Loki, but now it was time to come clean to my dad and the heroes of the world.

"You know that hero that's been running around New York and calling himself Spiderman?" I asked nervously, receiving nods from everyone but Thor and Bruce. Tony noticed their confused looks and clapped his hands. The room lights dimmed and with a wave of his fingers a picture appeared of me in costume swinging over New York.

"This is Spiderman," Tony began, "He is a vigilante that works in New York; identity unknown. He's been around for about a year or two. He is considered a minimal threat as the chances of him changing sides is small. I suggest we discover his identity and ask him to join the Avengers."

He clapped his hands again and the lights flashed on. I sat, feeling happy. They didn't consider me a menace! They saw past the media and Tony actually wanted me to be part of the Avengers team. It was a dream come true and it made what I was about to do so much easier.

Bruce nodded thoughtfully, "Well I guess you'd better get on figuring it out, Tony," He said, "So that the next time we have trouble you can call on him instead of me."

"Well I'm nowhere near Avenger level yet, but thanks for the confidence, Tony." I smiled lightly, but I didn't look any of them in the eyes.

"What?" Tony said, confused.

"Well, I've got a lot to work on, like interaction with other superheroes and the whole public image thing, but-"

"You're Spiderman!" Tony shouted in glee, "I was right!"

"How did you know?" I complained.

"Well, even though it worked for a few days, I noticed the fairly obvious gaps in the system and I realized that you were sneaking out. And since you don't have any friends…"

"I do have Fr-"I started, but the word died on my lips. He was right; I had no-one now but Tony and hopefully the Avengers.

"So why didn't you tell me?" Tony crossed his arms and looked petulant.

"Why would I Tony?" I glared, "I've barely known you for two weeks and it's something I didn't even tell my own Aunt before she died!" And it was something I regretted every day.

He sighed and nodded, than his face brightened. "You have to show me what you can do! In the ring, though you'd have to fight a drone for even half the results that you would get in real fights and-"

"Oh please," I moaned, "Not right now."

Tony rolled his eyes, "Fine, but it's not like you just got clobbered by an alien invasion."

"But you did!" I said cheerfully.

He glared at me, and Natasha reminded me the others were still there, "You are Spiderman."

She sounded skeptical, so I nodded, "I would jump on the ceiling or something to prove it, but I can't really move right now, so I'll just…"

I held my hand out and pointed my wrist at a wall on the other side of the room. The fine silk webbing I was so famous for glided out to fast for the others to see onto it. The webbing wouldn't dissolve until I either willed it or unraveled it myself. You could also cut out of it, but it took a while.

Bruce nodded and was convinced, as were the others. "What is it made of?" The small man asked.

"I dunno. It's something I've never seen before."

"I could examine it later and…" Tony drifted off into thought.

"Who wants to eat something?" I asked, and was received with nods of consent from everyone and a loud rumble from my stomach.

Tony looked thoughtful, "Fug sheikh sounds great."
