Annabeth

Annabeth was sitting in her kitchen poking her pasta with her fork. It was blue pasta. It helped her remember her seaweed brain and his weird obsession with blue foods. It made her smile for a little bit before she frowned. What she did was wrong. She should have never messed with his feelings, now he probably never trust another person with his heart, and it was her fault. She stabbed her fork into the food. That's probably what her betrayal felt like to him- a fork in his warm, blue food loving heart. The look of hurt in his eyes when she hit him...

Shaking her head, she did not want to see that right now.

There was soft knocking at her door.

It was pouring rain outside, why would anyone be out there?

Waking to the door and opening it slowly, she noticed it was a man in a trench coat with his hood blocking his face. He pulled out an envelope from his pocket and handed it to her, waiting for her to open it. Hesitantly taking it, she noticed it wasn't sealed.

"Is this for me?" She asked.

The man just pointed with a wet glove at the letter then to where her heart was. Raising an eyebrow at him, she opened it and unfolded the paper.

I forgive you.
Just please don't break my heart again.
-Seaweed Brain

Her eyes widened at the letter, then at the man. Pulling down his hood, she was meet with the sea-green eyes that haunted her with hurt at night. But now instead of hurt it was love and forgiveness in them, and tears, although from happiness or sadness she didn't know, all she knew was that he was back. Hugging him tightly in the rain, she kissed his cheek. He hugged her back, but she could tell there was uncertainty in it. It broke her heart. She never meant for that to happen.

"Ar-r-re you here to stay?" She was hoping the answer was yes.

"Only until I feel like I'm not loved anymore."

Just from his voice she could tell that his throat was sore from crying.

Pulling him inside and seating him at the kitchen table, she grabbed two plates, throwing away her cold food, she served the still warm blue pasta from the stove. She didn't sit next to him, but not exactly across from him either, just to the side of him, worrying if that is she went too quickly that she would scare him off by overwhelming him. She decided long ago that if he ever came back, she would earn his full trust back day by day, slowly, and when she got it back, she would hold onto it.

She watched him as he ate, the smile on his lips as he chewed the blue food, not even showing teeth, seemed like a good sign to her. They ate in silence for awhile.

"Am I dreaming? Are you really here? Is Aphrodite punishing me for what I did? I am truly sorry." She said, looking at Percy.

"I really am here." He said, taking her hand in his. She rubbed her thumb against his knuckles.

"I'm so sorry. I never thought I would- I would have ever hurt- I'm grateful that you forgave me- but why? After everything I did." She asked, breaking down in tears. He got on his knees next to her chair and hugged her tightly as she sat in the chair crying, his face coming to her shoulder. She felt water on her skin, knowing he was crying too.

When they calmed down, they didn't move. Finally Percy answered her.

"Ever heard of the term, 'your first love is always the hardest to get over'? I never got over you. Like I said in the letters, I love you."

"I love you too."

Annabeth

A year had gone by and Percy had eased into Annabeth's life.

After five months of living together, Percy started crawling into her bed with her, sometimes he would hold her, sometimes he would have his back to her, but having him there, in her bed, brought a smile on her face.

Three months ago, the had their first real kiss since he came back, and it was him who started it, not her, that was how she knew he was recovering. His nervousness went away a month ago, he no longer flinched whenever her hand went by his face, like when she opened the cupboard, he was about a half foot away from where it stopped, and she saw him cringe away from it, she quickly hugged him and muttered about how sorry she was and kissing his cheek.

A week ago, they went farther than just kissing, in fact she found herself under the blanket, n***, and Percy hugging her in bed. That's how she found herself in the bathroom holding a positive pregnancy test in her hands.

She quickly wrote a letter, saying she was pregnant, that's how they started doing stuff, whenever there was something important to be said, they would write a letter to each other and hand it to the other person, it was how they coped with Percy not wanting to talk very much.
She got up and walked to the living room, where she expected to see Percy watching Finding Nemo, not pacing in front of the turned off TV holding a letter in his hands, she also noted he looked scared.

'Why would he look- Unless he found a picture of her and Drew when they were together, she thought she threw all of them out. Was he leaving her? But could he after… he, he just couldn't.'

She felt like crying but then he looked up at her, she put on an emotionless mask. He looked like a deer caught in headlights, scared and nervous. He handed her the letter, then he eyed the other letter in her other hand, then up at her.

"Not yet." She whispered, tucking the letter in her back pocket. Now he looked really nervous. He looked down at his feet, licking his lips as he twiddled his thumbs.

She started opening the letter and felt that it was a bit heavy for just paper.

'Was it the key she gave him for house? Was he really leaving?'

She mentally prepared herself with with the worst. But when she saw what it said, she was stunned. No words could express her happiness right now.

Right there in black ink was, "Will You Marry Me?" and a ring taped to the bottom. Taking it off the paper, she looked at it. It was a flower, a big grey diamond in the middle, and smaller sea-green diamonds surrounding it. She put it on her ring finger and looked up at Percy.

He still looked nervous, but mostly heartbroken. She bet he was thinking because she took so long to answer, that she was thinking of a way to say no, when really she was thinking of a way to say yes without hurting his eardrums by her shriek of happiness. She ran and hugged him tightly, he hugged back just as tightly. She could feel the nervousness leave him, and heard his sigh of relief.

She wiggled her butt, hoping he would get the message to now look at her letter. She knew he did when she felt the paper leaving her pocket. She felt him grow stiff, and heard the paper fall to the ground.

"I still would have said yes to marrying you, even without the baby." She said softly into the crook of his neck. Feeling him relax, she knew that's probably what he thought.

She jumped slightly when she felt strong, warm hands caressing her stomach where the baby was growing. He nuzzled his nose in her neck, and she felt the one thing he hasn't done since the break up. He grinned his crooked grin.

That's when she knew she had his trust back, and she was never take it for granted again.

Hope you liked it! Thanks again to Alex Star for the last chapter and to all my awesome reviewers who make my day.
