Prelude

"Oh, hey, Charlie. Alice called you too?"

"Yeah, something about a book. Alice was talking too fast for me to get much more than that."

"Well, at least I'm not the only one who doesn't know what's going on." The two fathers were quiet as they walked up the drive. Well, Charlie walked and Billy rolled, but that's not the point.

Anyway, the two fathers walked/rolled up to the Cullen's door, thanked Edward when he used his brain-reading abilities to open the door at the perfect time so as not to leave it open too long, but also not to make the entrance awkwardly rushed. (Yay inconsequential details!)

Alice crossed the room to stand at Charlie's side. "These two girls have sat here for hours. All either of them have said to us is 'Bring the shapeshifters, imprints, Charlie, and Billy.' I didn't see them coming, but they've apparently been heading here for a while. You're the last to get here." As Alice was talking, she had pushed Billy, Charlie and Edward walking beside them, into the kitchen.

When the four entered the kitchen, they were greeted with the sight of the other seven Cullens, sixteen Quileute men, one Quileute woman, the four imprinted women that aren't Cullens, and two girls.

One of the girls looked up, and both human men were taken aback at the blankness in her golden eyes. Her pale hands were wrapped tightly around four large books and one smaller packet of paper. She frowned slightly, turning to the second girl.

The second girl looked at her companion, smiling amiably at her. "Charlie Swan and Billy Black just came in." The first girl just nodded, her frown remaining the only hint of emotion on her face. "Oh, calm down Kithrin. Just because you can't read it doesn't mean you have to be a meanie."

"Wait, what do you mean, she can't read it?" one of the newer wolves, Alex, asked.

The first girl laughed, dropping the apathetic appearance. "Well, I would try, but I doubt it would turn out well. Over time, I've discovered that sight is necessary to read. Well, I can read braille, but I find it odd. Reading with bumps? Not fun. Been there, hated that. Makes me feel useless. And I do not do useless."

"So, why are we here? I'm guessing it has to do with those books." Sam didn't sound the least bit happy about being in vampire central, and he wasn't.

But the second girl just grinned at him. "We're going to read them."

Silence greeted that sentence.

"Why?" Seth asked, being the first to recover from that unexpected idea.

"I wrote them," Kithrin admitted.

"So, what, you want critiques?"

"No. These books are my dreams, written down." At the confused looks, she elaborated. "I'm blind, but I can see. I just can't see through my own eyes. So I stay near Kira. I see through her eyes, see what she sees. I can see everything that way. I can see through other people's eyes too. It's easier to see through human eyes though. Their minds don't resist nearly as much, especially while sleeping. Kira's mind is nowhere near resistant though. She allows me to enter, allows me to see. I'm different than other vampires. I sleep. I dream. But I still have to see through others. One year ago, I began dreaming, and I saw… I saw many things. Memories. Memories that were not mine. Memories of a girl who loved a boy, and gave up everything for that boy. See where I'm going with this?"

"You… You saw me?" Bella's eyes widened as it dawned on her what Kithrin was saying. "Those books are my memories?"

Kira answered this time. "Yes. There is one part in the fourth book that is not yours, and the papers are not yours, but the rest… The rest is. Everything from the time you moved here up to three months ago. The packet is Edward's, and the part in the fourth is Jacob."

"Alright then. Any objections to reading them?" Ever the voice of reason, Emily stood up, already walking into the living room. Sam followed her; his pack followed him, so on and so forth. Everyone sat down on the couches, and, at his request, Carlisle was handed the first book.

Anywho, this is what we're starting with. This story is a semi-collaboration with the very nice KiraLovesYou (user number 2790998) who I am also friends with in real life. By 'semi-collaboration', I mean I type the story, she looks over it and sees if I can add anything because I'm not much of a Twilight person.
