AN: So sorry for the lack of updates recently. I always plan to update and end up procrastinating but I really do want to keep this story going. I'm really into two other stories and both those authors update way more than me, and while I love all the updates, it makes me feel terrible about not updating more. Hope you enjoy this chapter.

"Knock knock" Oliver said from the doorway, and Andy looked up at him from where she was sitting in her hospital bed. She was holding Alba in her arms, and had been thinking about how she might handle her situation, before Oliver had interrupted her thought process. Although Oliver had spoken, he made no attempt to enter the room, almost as if he felt it was too private of an occasion to just barge in on.

"You can come in Oliver." Andy said and it wasn't until he moved away from the door that she saw he had what seemed to be a small pink cat clutched in one of his hands.

"I brought her a…cat. I think." He said as he held it up and examined the toy from every different angle before giving up and setting it down on the small table at the end of her bed. "Let's see this baby you've got there."

Oliver made his way to the top of the bed and looked down into Andy's arms. He set his hand on her shoulder and smiled, nodding his head a few times but said nothing.

"You've done good McNally. She's perfect." He said finally.

"Thanks." Andy says as Oliver sits down in the chair near the bed. They sit in silence for a few minutes before either of them speaks again. Andy knows Oliver isn't too happy about the situation. He's upset that Sam wasn't even given the chance to be there and he knows that, if he had been given the chance, he would be. At first Andy had thought it wasn't fair to Sam to pull him away from his work but she had been regretting it more and more in the weeks leading up to now. Especially as she looked at this perfect child they had made together.

"I know. It was a mistake." Andy says looking up at Oliver. "The funny thing is I was so sure I was making the right decision, you know, the one Sam would want." Andy acts as if she is about to continue her thought but stops. Oliver recognizes the look on her face and knows she's just trying to put the thoughts together. It takes several moments but she does continue. "I don't know what I was thinking. I don't think he would have hated the idea. I think he may have even been happy about it, but you know it really doesn't matter. I can't take it back and Frank has tried but you know Sam agreed to the terms set by the drug squad. No contact and Frank said he's tried but it's out of his control now."

Somewhere in the middle of that little rant Andy started to look out the window, speaking as if no one was even there. As if she needed to get the words out to make sense of her situation.

"I can do it. I can do it alone." Andy finally looks back at Oliver. "I know it won't be easy, but I'm gonna stay at 15, I'll have everyone there to help."

"Of course, Of course McNally. We've all got your back. You know Zoey and I will help out as much as we can and everyone back at the station, they'll help you out. You'll never be alone in this." Oliver's tone catches Andy of guard a bit. She had expected a little anger. Maybe he thought if she had only tried sooner it would've been soon enough for Sam to come back, but she senses no anger only kindness, and maybe some sympathy.

"You know Andy, Sam has a sister. She might like to meet her." He says looking at Alba. "I know she'd help out as much as she could too."

"I don't know Oliver. She probably has no idea who I even am. I can't spring something like this on her, especially now that her brother is deep undercover. I can't just show up at her house with a kid and say 'Hey just wanted to let you know I used to be your brother's girlfriend, this is his kid, but he has no idea and he's deep undercover so I can't even tell him. Oh by the way could you help me out raising a kid alone is pretty difficult'? I'm sure that would go over well."

"Sounds like a pretty good plan to me. McNally I think you should tell her. If you want I can take you down there. I know her. She'd be happy. Just think about it"

That night Traci came to pick Andy and Alba up from the hospital and bring them home. With the exception of Oliver and Traci Andy hadn't seen anyone else from the division in her brief stay in the hospital. She had only been there two days and she knew Traci had told them all it would be better to wait until she got home to visit.

"I'm trying to hold everyone off but they're all really excited to meet this little one." Traci said as she picked Alba up. "She really is a beautiful baby Andy. I guess I wouldn't expect anything less from you and Swarek."

"Thanks." Andy says as she stuffs a few things into the bag she had brought with her to the hospital. "I just can't wait to get home."

"Have you thought anymore about getting a new place? I know you love this apartment Andy but it's a little small for two people." Traci says as Andy unlocks the door to her apartment.

"Yeah, I actually signed the papers a week ago today. I can move in anytime now."

"Way to go Andy, so grown up." Traci says with a smile and Andy rolls her eyes.

"I have my moments." Andy says as she picks Alba up from her car seat and sits down in a rocking chair Noelle and Frank gave to her at the baby shower the division threw. "It's a great area and it's close to fifteen so it works out great."

"You're staying at fifteen?" Traci says both genuinely surprised and happy. "I thought you had decided to transfer."

"I don't know what I was thinking. I thought it would be nice to start over but I'm gonna need you guys, and fifteen is family. It would feel weird leaving everyone."

"Well I'm very glad you decided to stay. We're in need for another detective maybe you could put in an application." Andy gives a little laugh at Traci's suggestion.

"It's a good job Andy. I know it's not the streets but you'd be good at it and it'd get you off the streets. I know you've been worried about that. I gotta go. Leo's having a parent's night at school and I don't want to be late to another school thing. You gonna be okay here?" She says picking up her purse from Andy's floor.

"I better be right?" Andy says with a small smile.

"You will be. Andy, you'll get a hang of it. Call me if you need anything okay?" Traci says opening the door.

"I will." Andy says with a smile. "Trac, thanks again for everything."

"It's my pleasure Andy. I'm happy to do it."

After Traci shuts the door and Andy is left alone with her daughter again she can't help but feel completely overwhelmed. Especially at home where there aren't any nurses to call for help. She wonders why she had been in such a hurry to get out of there now.

"Well it's just you and me kid." Andy says looking down at Alba and holding her tiny hand in hers. "I'm probably not going to be the best mom. I mean I want to be but I just have no idea what I'm doing here. You're so perfect, so beautiful. You're dad would've loved you from the second he saw you. He would've been wrapped around your little finger. I wish he knew, I've already messed that up I don't want to mess anything else up with you. I hope he comes back soon and you get to meet him. He'd be much better at this than I am, he'd do a much better job. He'd probably know exactly what to do. I'm so sorry Alba. I'm so sorry."

The next day after a much needed night of sleep (what she could get with having to wake up and take care of Alba) Andy isn't so surprised to hear a knock at the door after she gets out of her much needed shower. When she opens it she's happy to see the small group standing there.

"Can we see this kid you've been hiding from everyone?" Gail says "I'm starting to worry it's got a few extra heads with the way Traci is trying to keep us away."

"Ha-ha real funny. She's perfectly fine we just needed to rest up a bit. Come on in." Andy says stepping aside to let Gail, Nick, Dov, and Chris come inside.

They all make themselves comfortable in Andy's living room sitting down on her couch while Andy shuts the door and picks up a sleeping baby from the swing set up in front of the couch.

"See only one head." She says going to hand the baby to Gail.

"No, no, that's fine. I want to see not touch." Gail says putting her hands up in front of her.

"I'll hold her." Chris volunteers. "She's beautiful." He says a moment after Andy places her in his arms.

"Thank you Chris, I 'm pretty fond of her."

After Chris, Nick and Dov both take turns holding Alba before they have to head to the station for their shifts.

"Alba McNally. That's a strong name." Dov says handing her back to Andy.

"It's actually Alba Swarek. I wanted her to have her dad's last name. I know it means it's different from mine, but she should have it."

"Alba Swarek. It's a great name too." Dov says before they all get up to leave.

Andy walks them out and decided to take the opportunity to get some sleep. She figures they won't be her only guests today. Claire and Tommy had both visited in the hospital and it was brief. She could only have one other person in the delivery room with her and she had asked for it to be Traci and although she knew her dad had been relieved she couldn't help but feel that her mom was disappointed. She'd been back in her life for only a little while though and Andy didn't really feel comfortable sharing that moment with her.

Frank and Noelle had also not seen her yet and she figured they would come when they could. Noelle had already told her she was there to help whenever she could. She was working less anyway to stay home with Olivia and had insisted one more kid wouldn't be too hard to handle. She knew Andy was going to need the help, especially when she goes back to work in 3 months.

Andy laid Alba down in the basinet near her bed before laying down herself. It only took a few moments before Andy was fast asleep.

Sam leaned against the wall to his cell and took a few deep breaths before sitting down on his bed. The only upside to being in this prison is that he was lucky enough to get his own cell, which meant he didn't have to worry about getting killed in his sleep. Seven months had passed and he had begun to worry they'd forgotten about him. He wanted out. He had been holding his own in the prison, he'd even made some friends but he was going a little crazy being controlled the way he was. He hadn't done the crime which was making it really hard to do the time. Plus being treated like a criminal by people with almost the same job as him was really starting to piss him off. Until today they had just thrown him in here and he hadn't heard from them since his "incarceration" seven months ago.

Earlier that day he had gotten a call that his lawyer was there and was lead into a small empty room. About a half hour later Safe and Manny walked in with a third man. Sam stood as they walked in and shook both their hands before Safe spoke.

"Sam this is Max Templin. He is going to be your lawyer."

"I thought you said we could do this without a lawyer. You said you'd get me out on good behavior." Sam said. Getting a little agitated. This wasn't going the way they had planned and it was feeling a bit messy. It wasn't running as smoothly and he was still angry about the seven months of being stranded. "I've been in here seven months and the plan was twelve. Five more and I'm out."

"I know the plan, but something's happened. Cohen reached out to a law office. He has a lawyer but apparently his lawyer advised him to stay far away from your case so he went looking for another one. We've been keeping an eye on him so when we heard him make the call we made a few of our own and got Max into the mix. We're gonna try and get you out of here a little earlier than planned."

"So why's he here? What exactly is he going to do that you couldn't? Why do we need him?" Sam asks but even as he speaks he realizes. It's all for show. He should've known, everything in undercover work is.

"We don't actually need the lawyer." Manny finally decides to speak up. "We only need it to look like he's working your case. Then we can get you out and make it look like he did it with his wonderful lawyer skills."

"Then Cohen thinks he got me out. So I'm indebted to him I get it. A guy who helps him out isn't gonna stab him in the back." Sam says putting more of the pieces together.

"It still isn't going to be right away though." Safe finally speaks again. "We still have to make it look like he's meeting with you and everyone else he would need to work with to get you out, but it's probably not going to be much longer."

"Just don't go another seven months without a visit please." Sam says as the three men turn to leave.

AN: I've gotten 100 reviews. It was a pretty big moment for me when that happened. Thanks for all the support for my story. You guys are the best. I really appreciate all the input. I'm sick but have spent the last two days rewatching season 2 and 3 so wanted to get an update in while I felt a bit more connected to the characters. I haven't even edited or anything so I hope it's not too bad. If it is I apologize I like to strike when the motivation hits. Also I added a link in my profile to something super adorable. Check it out.
