All Bryan wanted to do was spend a nice day out with his husband and Goldie was that too much to ask? Now he was sitting on his bed while David mended his split lip.

Earlier that day, Bryan was looking through the baby clothes. He knew David would be looking for him, but he didn't care. He wanted to start buying baby clothes and start decorating a nursery.

"Busted," he heard David call.

"Huh… Are these baby clothes? I wondered why the prices were so low," he stated mockingly. David chuckled and chastised Bryan yet again for buying baby clothes before they were out of the woods.

"I know, but that was before I knew things like this existed," Bryan showed David the adorable frog hat with the eyes sticking up.

"It's not that cute," David said unconvincingly. Bryan raised an eyebrow before pulling the hat over his own head.

"Okay, now that's adorable," David caved walking over to Bryan and wrapping his arms around him.

"We're having a baby," Bryan cooed.

"Yes, we are," David smiled, resting his forehead on Bryan's.

"I love you, too," Bryan smiled.

"I didn't say 'I love you'," David stated, confused.

"Yeah, I know but you were thinking it," Bryan quipped. David chuckled and pulled Bryan into a kiss.

"Wow," a large man with his family said.

"Oh, don't worry. He's not actually going to let me buy this thing," Bryan chuckled.

"No, can you not do that?" the man pointed accusingly.

"Do what?" Bryan pushed.

"That! Kissing another man. I don't want to go home and have to explain that to my kid."

"Explain what to your kid? Love?" Bryan began to work toward the man. David put a hand on his arm.

"Don't, it's not worth it," David said dejectedly. Bryan ignored him, too angry to care.

"It isn't love. It's disgusting and ugly," the man was obviously getting angry. His wife had picked up their daughter and taken her away from the scene.

"Says the person wearing a fanny pack," No one saw it coming. The man punched Bryan right in the face. Just then Goldie came out. David had his arms around Bryan who could barely speak.

"Don't you dare touch him!" David screamed after the man as he walked away to join his family. Goldie put a comforting hand on his shoulder. Once the man was out of sight, David looked at Bryan who had his face hidden in the crook of his neck and seemed to be holding his mouth. Goldie was rubbing soothing circles into his back comfortingly.

"Let me see, sweetie," David was trying his best to keep his voice steady. Bryan pulled his hand away. It had blood on it and Bryan's head spun slightly. He absolutely hated blood. David, feeling Bryan sway slightly, tightened his hold on him.

"You're lip is split. Come on, let's get you home," David guided Bryan out of the store with Goldie close behind.

And that is how Bryan ended up lying in David's arms in bed with a sore lip. David leaned down and kissed Bryan on the nose.

"You're amazing," said David, his eyes drooping tiredly

"Not nearly as amazing as you," Bryan mumbled and fell asleep. They stayed tangled in each other's arms all night.
