"Sebastian, I need to tell you something." Kierrai said hesitantly. She stared into the fire, knowing that she had her new husband's full attention. They had been married for an entire day before she realized that she had not told him of her heritage. She felt his warm, rough hands on her shoulders as he approached her from behind.

"What is it, love?" he asked huskily. She shuddered at the sensuality in his voice before turning to face him.

"Maybe you should sit down." She suggested as she stared up into his deep blue eyes. He raised an eyebrow, but did exactly as she said.

"Love, you're frightening me a bit." He admitted. She shook her head.

"Oh there's nothing to be afraid of. At least, I wouldn't consider this particularly frightening news." She rambled.

"Kierrai. You're blabbering. Tell me whatever it is you need to tell me." He ordered gently. She sighed.

"I realized that I have not yet told you who I am." She began. He nodded.

"I had almost forgotten." He told her.

"I sometimes wish I could." She mumbled to herself. "My name is Kierrai Theirin." She declared simply. Sebastian blinked in surprise.

"Theirin? As in…" he said, trailing off. She nodded.

"As in illegitimate daughter of the late King Maric Theirin. Half-sister to Alistair Theirin, King of Ferelden, and sister-in-law to Zeriah Cousland-Theirin, Queen and Hero of Ferelden and Commander of the Grey. Trained for most of my life to become the Queen of Ferelden, but I wanted that leadership to fall to my older brother." She finished for him. He stared at her, face going from surprise to confusion to fear and back in rapid succession. After what seemed like hours, Kierrai cleared her throat. "Sebastian? Could you say something? Anything at all? Please?" she begged. Finally, her husband blinked and his eyes came back into focus. Kierrai felt a growing nervousness under his intense stare.

"At least I will not have to teach you about politics when we retake Starkhaven." He said calmly. She raised an eyebrow before the implication of what he said hit her. He was not angry with her!

"You're really not upset with me?" she asked in wonder. He grinned at her.

"Kierrai, I would love you if your parents were poison merchants from Darktown. The fact that you are of a royal bloodline only helps our cause." He explained. She beamed at him before plopping down on his lap and kissing him soundly.

"Maker, I love you." She whispered. He kissed her on the forehead.

"And I you, Princess." He said. She opened her mouth to say something against him before she realized that as his wife, that was her new title. She settled for a small smile instead. She should have known that he would not have been phased by her secret. She snuggled against his chest, completely blissful now that there were no secrets between them.
