A/N: After seeing the recent Kingdom Hearts III trailer revealing Monsters Inc, I kind of wrote a little something out of excitement. Though since its small, I didn't really want to post it as a new story per say, so I decided to put it as a bonus chapter to this story instead. (Hm...it really has been awhile, now that I look back on what I written here..heh..heh)

Anyway, enjoy.

"Wait, please," he begged.

Sora kept running, hoping to catch up to the mysterious cloaked figure ahead of him. Though with every step he took, not even inching a foot closer, he figured it was useless, no matter how hard he tried—panting, and stomping his feet—he just couldn't reach the person. Why, he did not know, but pretty soon his legs finally gave out, and stopped to catch his breath.

"W-wait…come back," he managed to say.

Though as Sora raised his head, he saw that the figure kept running, either not hearing his plea, or completely ignore it.

"Roxas!" he shouted.

But it was too late; the figure soon disappeared into nothingness, leaving Sora completely alone.

"Don't you see….it has to be you…."

"No…. you're you….we're not the same….

You deserve as well as I do… to be your own person…."

"To be your own person…"

Sora bit his lower lip. He wondered…was all this even worth chasing. Chasing the dream that couldn't become a reality, no matter how much he wanted it to be? His heart was truly set on trying to make Roxas' wish come true—for him to be a real person—but now, after coming this far, he's beginning to reconsider. Really, is Sora helping Roxas, or is he actually being selfish? Wanting him there, just for the sake of him being there? Granted, due to the overwhelming kindness in his heart, Sora's no stranger for wanting the best for people, and helping them in their time of need. When the moment came when he was swept with overwhelming emotions of sadness and grief from his other half, Sora immediately wanted to help him; making this dream his goal. But now… everything changed….

What if, the reason Roxas showed all those memories to him was so he could finally be at peace, not wanting to come back? After all, the idea alone of a person and nobody co-existing together is unheard of. Even then when Roxas was alive, their co-existence was a bit unstable (with Roxas blacking out from time to time.) Is there even a way for them two co-existing without any side-effects? Sora shook his head. He wanted to try; he just couldn't let him go.

"In order to get Roxas back, you must sink into the darkness…"

"Ventus….where are you…" the boy said under his breath.

After jumping from world to world causing havoc with little to no results, Vanitas' hope was fading, as well as his patience running very thin. The boy thought it would have been like before, him releasing his creations to the unknown, and little goody goody Ventus, would come out of no-where to save the day. But, as he began to see that what -ever he did was left unchecked —he realized that his plan to fish out Ventus has failed. That time ago, Vanitas would be annoyed to no end that his other half would be chasing him…and now….he's beginning to…..miss it? No….that couldn't be it.

Clank!

He set the large heavy cylinder on the ground.

"Another failure," he huffed.

He then kicked the container and watched it as it rolled away.

"Hmph, a weird device that can harness and contain a child's laugher…

GAG!

Honestly, who ever heard of monsters coming out at night to make kids…laugh?"

"YOU…"

Breaking out of his train of thought, Vanitas turned around and saw a monster standing behind him. At first, the boy would have suspected that he was one of those monsters from this world, but what the monster said next...made Vanitas nearly choke. Those eyes…that look….

"Vanitas" the monster yelled.

"That light…could it be…."

"Ventus" Vanitas said relieved; his tone also sounding desperate.

In return, Sora, who was disguised as a monster, gazed at Vanitas confused. Mostly due to the fact that he didn't know this person's name and yet, somehow knew. He was a bit scared of this situation, but kept his guard up; seeing how the other person was wearing a black coat and a mask, Sora knew this person was trouble, especially since he backed him to a wall. Vanitas made a sinister smile under his mask. He really thought his other half could hide from him, in this… insignificant shell?

He then reached out and touched Sora's cheek.

"I need the other light that rests in your heart," he said coldly.

Without a second thought, his key-blade materialized within his grasp, and pointed the tip directly over the boy's chest; ready to stab him. In return, Sora glared, and pushed Vanitas, ready for the battle that was going to go down.

"In order to get Ventus back, you must seek out the light…"

Again thank you for reading.
