Chapter six: Taken

Kevin took out the last drone and ran straight for his car, Gwen getting in the passenger seat. He turned on his car and drove out of the parking lot with full speed.

Ben…

"What if…" Kevin hesitated. "What if Vilgax found Ben…?"

"Don't say that, Kevin." Gwen said, unsure of it herself. "I don't know…."

His hands trembled as he was gripping the steering wheel. He bit the inside of his cheek at that.

The drive was silent.

It seemed to take centuries to get to Ben's house; Kevin and Gwen were growing more impatient by the second.

Gwen didn't even wait for Kevin to stop and park the car, she just opened the car door and ran straight towards Ben's front door, Kevin being right behind her. She realized that the door was still locked from when she and Kevin had first stepped out to get Ben's smoothie. She quickly turned to face the raven haired teen and whispered, "The backyard."

As much as they both wanted to shoot first and asked questions later, they had to be silent and keep calm; who knew what would happen when dealing with Vilgax. He was unpredictable. They quickly rounded the house and stopped short at the corner of the house, not visible to anyone who was in the backyard. Kevin and Gwen held their breaths, trying to listen for anything suspicious, but the wind wasn't helping very much…

It came as quickly as it happened. Both of the teens froze, cold sweat and goose bumps quickly covered their bodies as they heard a heart wrenching scream. Kevin and Gwen's blood ran cold as they recognized who screamed. Then it was quiet.

Absolutely nothing.

Kevin was the first to thaw out, quickly running passed Gwen and into the backyard. And lo and behold there he was.

"Vilgax!" He snarled. He couldn't see very much, just the green beings' back, but he knew that Ben was being covered by Vilgax. And when Vilgax turned around, Kevin nearly choked on his tongue when he saw what the alien had in his arms.

Vilgax growled softly, as if he didn't want to wake Ben, at Kevin in annoyance. His crimson eyes narrowed into deadly slits, carrying the brunette bridal style. He couldn't stop twisting his mouth into an animalistic grin, sharp teeth and all, at seeing the expression on the shifters face.

"Why are you here?" Vilgax asked quietly, not wanting to stir the human in his arms. He never expected to see Kevin Levin here, he thought the drones would be enough to hold Kevin and the Charm caster a little longer off… He could smell her. "Come out, girl. I know you're here."

Gwen felt a chill down her spine as Vilgax told her to come out. She took a few deep breaths to steal herself and prepped her power; magenta glowing around her fists. She nearly ran into Kevin as she only kept her eyes on her beloved cousin.

"What are you doing, Vilgax?" The female asked him after she composed herself. Barely containing her fear and anger as her dull, green eyes locked with Ben's limp body in his arms.

"I'm taking him with me." He drawled out, as if it was the most obvious thing in this universe. He tensed; tightening his hold on Ben harder when he saw how Kevin and Gwen took a careful step towards him and Ben. He loosened his grip a bit when a small whimper came out of the unconscious boys' mouth. Vilgax grinned at the sound.

Kevin felt bile at the back of his throat; he tried to ignore the grin the tall alien had in his face when he caused Ben pain. He grit his teeth. Sadistic bastard. He was going to murder him-

"Let him go, Vilgax!" he snarled, he felt Gwen tense up beside him at the sound of his voice.

But Vilgax completely ignored him asking, "What's wrong with him? Earlier, he didn't even want to move at all, he seems to be in pain every time he moves or someone else moves him. He seems weaker. And…" Vilgax trailed off, looking down at the human in his arms, his crimson eyes hooding as he leaned his head down to Ben's exposed neck; breathing in the new, unique scent of Ben. "His scent has changed pleasantly."

A wave of possessiveness crashed into Vilgax, as he watched the human in his arms, and he was momentarily shocked by it. He didn't know why this was happening. When did the human become like this, and why? He wasn't out with Kevin and Gwen- they are always together. Something must have happened to Ben, something did change, and the boys scent was enough of an answer! They were trying to keep him somewhere safe so he wouldn't get hurt. Or rather, hide him from the outside.

"What are you talking about?!" Kevin and Gwen both lied at the same time, tensing when Vilgax 'tsked' at them. Something told them that he knew they were lying.

"Tennyson said the same thing before I knocked him unconscious…" he finally looked up from Ben and realized that he need to escape the shifter and the charm caster; take the boy with him. "I've no intention of fighting you two now."

He couldn't be serious, could he? No, he was not going to take Ben away, Kevin won't let him.

Kevin was about to charge at him to take the brunette away but then froze when the alien did something that he and Gwen never expected him to do. Vilgax turned his back towards them and got on one knee, gently laying Ben down again on the grass; staring down at the unconscious boy.

All of sudden, Vilgax was right in front of Kevin, it was too fast for both teens to react. He punched Kevin in his stomach, grabbed the teen by his shirt when he doubled over and threw him, crashing into the Ben's house. The tall alien twirled just in time to dodge one of Gwen's casts and strike her in the back of her neck sending her unconscious, just like he did to Ben, and let her fall to the ground.

Vilgax stayed still for a moment, waiting to see if any of the teens would stir and wake up and noticing that his ride was in the front of Ben's house. It was time to go. He tensed up when he heard a soft groan and Vilgax turned to see who it was and he relaxed as he saw Ben beginning to awaken. The boy was no threat to him right now. He grinned at the emotion in the human's glossy emeralds as he set his eyes on his cousin and started stalking towards the boy.

Ben felt like a hammer was pounding against the back of his eyes, trying to pop them out. He groaned in pain as he forced himself to sit on his knees and began to look around in a confused state. A wave of nausea hit him when his eyes landed on his cousin's seemingly lifeless body on the ground a few feet away from him. He flinched, felt all of the hairs on the back of his neck raise, when he felt eyes staring at him and he turned to see who it was and it was Vilgax.

A grin tugging at his mouth, crimson eyes wild. And he was coming straight towards him.

The teenager forced himself to get up, to try and help his cousin and where the hell was Kevin? He grit his teeth when Vilgax let him sway past him and it made him angry. Vilgax knew he was weak, that Ben wasn't a threat to him right now. Ben got on his knees again when he was close to Gwen and turned her face towards him, trying to see if she was breathing and to his relief, she was. But that relief was soon cut off when he felt a green, strong hand grip his right shoulder.

He tried to shake it off, but then he whimpered in pain when the hand tightened.

"I'm taking you with me." Vilgax stated and growled when the human tried to pull away again.

Ben was suddenly yanked from the ground, pain burning through his arm and he screamed.

"Let go of me!" Ben bit back the pain and grounded himself. "Let go of me, now!"

Vilgax hissed in annoyance. The brat was loud. He thought about knocking Ben unconscious again, but decided against it- not really wanting to give the boy any real injuries. So he just grabbed the back of the human's neck and squeezed, watching the teenager slowly slip into unconsciousness.

Ben tried and tried again to yank himself away from the larger alien but the force at the back of his neck was pressing against something that was slowly making him see black. He was slipping for the second time today. And he wasn't sure the next time he woke up that he would be in the same place…

The last thing he saw was a pair of crimson eyes that gleamed in triumph.

Oh my gosh, you guys it's been a while. A really long while... I'm sorry guys, I was reading through the reviews and have something to tell you guys- I'm NOT abandoning this Fic!

Buuuut omg, guess what! Im graduating on Monday June 9th holy shit! this whole week has been busy with finals, and the past fews months with AP exams and trying to get into a good art school... But finally, FINALLY, im done with all of that and i have the whole of summer to write!

I'll update in a few days, i promise. and make it longer.
