Part 20:"I can't believe it mate," Ron groaned. "You assimilated the centaurs into the swarm?"
Harry shrugged. "I wouldn't call it 'just'. It wasn't that easy. A few of them died before I got it right."
"Um... Harry," Hermione said, softly poking her best friend. "I don't think that's what Ron meant. I mean, why did you do it?"
Harry was back at the Weasleys and his two best friends wanted answers. He barely got out of the Floo before Ron and Hermione began to swamp him with questions. He got a reprieve till they were in Ron's room, but now there was no escape. Staring at the orange ceiling, Harry considered how to answer Hermione's question.
Why couldn't Luna be here? She'd certainly know how to help him. Harry could only wish, his girlfriend was still sleeping in the hospital wing. Madam Pomfrey had said she wouldn't wake before tomorrow. Blasted Dreamless Sleep potions...
He decided to begin with a counter question: "What else was I supposed to do? The centaurs were ready to wipe out the swarm. Should I have just killed them?"
"Well, you could have just let them go..." Hermione supposed. He did have a point though. Killing them would have been no better solution.
"And just let them try again?" Harry retorted, rolling his eyes. "It's not like I caught every last Centaur. I allowed the rest to flee." That wasn't exactly true, they escaped on their own.
"The question is what will you do with everyone else who attacks you?" Ron said, scratching his head as he thought. "Do you really want to add Death Eaters to the swarm?"
"I'm more worried about the moral implications," Hermione interjected before Harry could say anything. "Did you just enslave a hundred sentients with something like the Imperius curse?"
That was unfair, Harry thought. It totally wasn't like that. "I didn't enslave them," Harry protested. "They still have their own opinions..." Well those that survived the integration process with their minds intact. At least the swarm got better at it... it only took five casualties this time.
"And what can they do with those opinions?" Ron asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Nothing that hurts the swarm," Harry said, crossing his arms defensively. Why were his friends attacking him like that? "Otherwise they can do whatever they want."
"Right," Ron said unconvinced. "And how do you get them to do what you want?"
"I'm the Overmind, the swarm wants to do what I want and I want to do what the swarm wants."
"That sounds ominous," Hermione said, wrinkling her forehead. "How does that work? Do you just force your wants on them and they do it like a house elf?"
"Mate, you turned centaurs into house elves?" Ron asked. "Seriously, I'm not sure if I'm horrified or if I should congratulate you for dealing with those pompous horse arses."
Harry groaned and flopped down on Ron's bed. "No, you got it wrong. The swarm is not like I'm controlling them with an Imperius curse or like I've turned them into house elves." He sighed. "Look, I guess it's somewhat like a beehive. All members of the swarm work together to make it flourish. All zerg know what all members of the swarm know. I may be the Overmind, but it doesn't really work like that for me. I'm still human, so I get some knowledge from the swarm but not all at once."
It was hard to explain, Harry realized. He wasn't enslaving the other members of the Swarm. He was leading them, but he was doing what they wanted. The swarm wanted to assimilate the centaurs. Harry didn't care so much. He even allowed them to raid the greenhouses and would smuggle a drone or two into the chamber of secrets. Merlin did the overlords want that Basilisk carcass. They were constantly nagging. He was pretty sure that's not how slave masters lived.
"So you're sort of organizing it?" Ron asked, rubbing the back of his head.
Harry nodded. "Yeah, pretty much. Either I have an idea that helps the swarm, or the swarm has an idea that might help the swarm and tells me to tell them how to do it. If I don't tell them to manage it among themselves."
"Mate, my head hurts," Ron complained. "Could you please make this less complicated."
"Look Ron," Hermione interjected. "It seems to be like this: I guess I can compare it to your chess pieces. Harry is the chess master and his chess pieces suggest things to him to win. But they can do stuff on their own if Harry allows it." She turned to her best friend. "Did I get that right?"
"Pretty much, only I'm not someone playing the swarm like chess pieces. I'm really the King and my chess pieces tell me to keep safe and nag the crap out of me sometimes."
{The hivemind only suggests that the Overmind keeps himself safe. Integrating with the swarm provides greater safety.} the hivemind told Harry's thoughts.
"Okay, I get that," Ron said, nodding to himself. "So no Imperius…"
{Thanks,} Harry mentally sent back, rolling his eyes.
"Something wrong mate?" Ron raised his eyebrows.
"Just my mental companion," Harry sighed. "The hivemind suggested I should integrate with the swarm. Not bloody likely until I know it's safe."
"And you only get it safe through experimentation," Hermione groused. "On sentients!"
"What else am I supposed to do with them? Huh?" Now it was Harry's turn to get heated. "I can't kill them and I certainly can't keep a hundred centaurs as prisoners of war. This way they can help the swarm."
"Well and what do they think about becoming 'members of the swarm'?" Hermione asked, crossing her arms under her chest. "Probably not so enthused about it."
"No they're not," Harry had to admit. "But honestly they're also not suicidal. They can still do their Centaur stuff like figuring out how bright Mars really is. And apparently creep tastes better than grass."
"Harry," Hermione said almost threatening. "Centaurs don't eat grass. They…"
"Yes!" Harry shouted. "I know! Apparently creep tastes better than whatever they ate before. Like roasted acromantula."
"Eww…" Ron's face contorted at the thought. "They ate the spiders?"
"Yeah," Harry nodded. "Apparently roasted acromantula tastes great. It's a delicacy among centaurs."
"They ate other sentients?" Hermione asked horrified. "I didn't know centaurs were cannibals."
"Well, if they want to eat the spiders…" Ron shrugged. "The less there are the better if you ask me. Still, eating them…" He shuddered and shook his head.
"But…" Hermione began only to be interrupted by Harry's raised hand.
"Look, Hermione," he began. "they're class five creatures for a reason. Nobody cries for a dead acromantula. Merlin, they eat their own dead. Killing them only releases them from a life of eternal hunger." Harry shrugged. "Eating and rutting, those are the only things on an acromantula's mind. I don't know how Hagrid does it, but I think it's a special magical power of his. He's a monster-tamer the same way I'm a parselmouth. I think there is some magic that makes monsters less monstrous when he's dealing with them."
"That doesn't change a thing about the centaurs though," Hermione said. Still not satisfied with her best friend's explanation. "They're still enslaved to you, to that swarm of yours."
That wasn't enslavement, Harry thought annoyed. "Enslavement is like the Malfoys treated Dobby," he glared at his best female friend. "Enslavement is what the Dursleys…"
"…treated you like the first years of your life?" Ron half completed the sentence, half asked. "Was it really that bad?"
Harry nodded. "Remember the bars in front of my window and the cat-flap on the door?"
"Yes?" Ron said, looking intentently at his best friend. "And?"
"That was the good room. My bedroom before I got my first Hogwarts letter was the cupboard under the stairs."
Silence reigned in Ron's room. Suddenly something banged down in the kitchen and the three friends heard Mrs. Weasley cuss.
"Why didn't you ever say anything?" Hermione asked hoarsely. "We would have helped you."
"Um... I forgot," Harry jokingly suggested, before he saw Hermione's look. "I didn't think it was that bad... then."
"You weren't used to anything else, right?" Ron said. The whole thing made a lot of sense to him. "I hope Dumbledore beat some sense into them."
Hermione said nothing, just looked from one boy to another.
"Well," Harry shrugged. "After I blew up Marge during the summer holidays two years back they stopped doing all the strange stuff to me." He shrugged again. "They had me do their housework though."
"You don't need to go back there, do you?" his best female friend asked worriedly. "You really shouldn't."
"Dumbledore said I needed to go back to recharge some wards against Voldemort, but I guess with the swarm..."
"You wouldn't need it," Ron nodded, "I mean you can stay with us and you have the swarm for defense. Even Voldemort can only cast so many Killing Curses at once..." Then he scratched his head "Thinking about the swarm... I've been wondering about it for some time... what is being a member of the swarm like?"
That was actually a good question, Harry realized. He knew the centaurs were kind of grumpy with their situation, but he didn't feel anything like despair over his bond.
Focusing on the swarm, Harry mentally asked his first overlord: {Adalbert, what is it like to be a member of the swarm?}
{Compared to your memories of being a human individual and member of a society?} the overlord asked to clarify.
{Yes, what is it like?}
The overlord told him and Harry looked back at his friends. "Okay guys, it's like this," Harry began. "The overlord has almost no real desires of his own. Apart from his newly discovered hobby of web-art that is. He likes to help the swarm to flourish and feels satisfied if he manages to do that." Harry paused to take a breath. "According to him the biggest difference between the swarm and a normal human society is that the members of the swarm can rely on each other utterly. We won't ever betray each other. If one member in the swarm suffers, all of them suffer..."
"So if one creature in the swarm hurts, you hurt too?" Hermione asked as if she couldn't really believe it. "What happens when they die?"
Harry shrugged. "Their souls return to the swarm and they wait to be reborn. I don't hurt if a zerg is in pain, but I and every other member of the swarm want to fix whatever is wrong when someone suffers."
A frown played over Harry's best friend's face, but she didn't say anything.
Then, Ron scratched his head. "So what happens when the newly assimilated centaurs feel like crap?" Ron asked, sniffing out the drawback.
"I also feel like crap," Harry nodded. "Well not that much, I'm either shielded as the Overmind or as a human... or maybe both." He raised his hand. "Hermione, please wait a moment. The other zerg would certainly make me want to fix it anyway. And you know I'm not someone to allow suffering - I even freed Dobby."
"Yeah," Ron agreed. "That little bugger really had it in for you. Seriously, saving you by breaking your arm? Bloody elf."
"Only because of their centuries long enslavement," Hermione glared at her boyfriend. "Anyway, Dobby was the first elf to actually realize its injustice, so you've got to cut him some slack."
"Sure, whatever," Harry said opening the door to the corridor, "I kind of nee..."
Ginny tumbled into the room and almost fell over her own feet. Harry managed to catch her though.
"Ginny?" Ron said, staring at his sister. "What are you doing?"
Hermione wrinkled her forehead in worry. "She listened at the door..."
Great, Harry thought. He really didn't need this right now. Why didn't he remember to ward the room? Now it was too late. He shot a glare at Ginny.
"Um... sorry?" Ginny said, looking worried about Harry's reaction. "What is this Swarm, Zerg thing? ...I won't tell anyone, I promise."
"The more people know, the more people can blab," Ron declared. He still hadn't forgotten the row with his sister. He'd just wanted to protect her. How did he deserve to be attacked? "You don't really need to know."
"I think it's a bit late for that," Hermione sighed. "Although... there is the Memory Charm."
"No!" Ron decided, before the shocked Ginny could even open her mouth. "You won't do that to my sister."
"Yeah, stealing memories is vile," Harry agreed. "Remember what happened with Lockhart. I don't think you would have wanted to be obliviated after every time we listened in on the order meetings."
"I can't believe you'd suggest that!" Ginny groused, skewering Hermione with a glare. "Sorry I listened, but what am I supposed to do? You always lock yourself up in your room, barely talk with me at Hogwarts and are always busy with Neville and Luna. Did I do something to you? I went with you to the Ministry, risked my arse against the Death Eaters and now you consider obliviating me before telling me what's going on!" She took a step back and looked worried at the three friends. "You didn't obliviate me before, did you?"
The trio shook their heads. "No," Harry said. "it's vile, I told you. That's nothing I'd do to my friends."
"Good, I'm glad," Ginny said. "So why did you avoid me then?"
"Well, sister dear," Ron began, copying the twins' manner of speech, "you were always snogging Dean and when you weren't, you were insulting me. Why would we want to be around you?"
"Mostly the snogging Dean thing," Hermione supported her boyfriend. "You weren't around very often and even then you had your vendetta against Ron going," she shrugged. "What were we supposed to do?"
Ginny was silent for a moment. Harry used that opportunity to close the door. "Muffliato, Porta Imperturbare."
"Vere Ostium Clausum," Hermione added to the spellwork. "I just made sure nobody could get in. Even with an Alohomora... Um..." she fidgeted a bit, "why do you think Obliviate is vile? It's an easy way to get rid of problems without having to kill people."
"And I'm a problem, is that it?" Ginny sneered before taking a deep breath."Because it makes you doubt reality, obviously," the fiery redhead explained. "Because you don't know what's real and what isn't. What would you believe if Malfoy erased your memory and declared you his long lost sister? After hitting you with a hair transformation spell or something." She paused a moment, scratching her head. "You're obviously too good at magic for a 'mudblood'. And Tommy might want to breed some intelligence back into the Malfoy line."
That had Ron giggling and even Harry couldn't suppress a smirk. Ginny stayed serious though. "Hell, he might even erase the memory of Draco's childhood and do something like that to his death eaters. Who knows what controls he's built into that tattoo... So who are you? Hermione Malfoy the pureblood child who's been stolen by vile, dirty muggles and who's been tricked into coloring her hair every day, or Hermione Granger muggleborn and smartest witch of her generation?"
Ginny was in a fine temper, Harry realized. But she had a good point. He too would be pissed if threatened with an obliviate. Merlin, what was Hermione thinking... Especially with Ginny. Considering how diary-Tom had manipulated her. Hopefully she wouldn't hex them all.
"And don't think you've distracted me. What is this swarm thing?!" Ginny glared at her friends again. "These creatures that killed Luna's attackers? Do you have something to do with them?"
Crap, she'd guessed it. "Yeah," Harry sighed. "Those creatures were zerg, or rather zerglings." Harry considered things for a moment. "Okay, I guess we can tell you. But you need to promise to keep quiet about it. It's the key to end Voldemort and his minions once and for all."
"That sounds ominous," Ginny raised her eyebrows. "But I'll agree to it. I won't blab. Anyway, I need to know something beforehand. Is it Hermione Granger or Hermione Malfoy?"
Hermione looked away. She didn't know what to say. An obliviate was better than killing someone. And less trouble than having anyone know. The wizarding world did it all the time after all. So it had to be right, or they wouldn't do it. Probably...
"Ginny, leave Hermione alone," Ron interjected to help his girlfriend. "She wouldn't have done it anyway. Stop projecting your issues with Vol...Voldemort on us." It was Ron's Weasley temper that rose up now. "Neither of us is going to possess you, make you do evil stuff and wipe your mind afterwards. Merlin's bollocks, I wouldn't even know how to do something like that."
"You use some sort of mind transference curse, do evil stuff and use obliviate afterwards... or the curse does it for you," Hermione explained absently. "Imperius would be easier though." She shook her head. "Sorry Ginny, I didn't think."
"Obviously," Ginny said, flopping down on the bed right next to Harry. "So please tell me, what is this swarm-zerg-thing?"
Harry knew he had no real choice now. Sure, he could lie to her, but then she might snoop again and find out more. In the end it was clear he had to tell her. And while her behavior towards Ron had been quite annoying, she had still helped him in the ministry. He could only hope she knew how to keep quiet.

"So do I understand that right. You have assimilated acromantulas and centaurs in the swarm and that Hivemind of yours wants to assimilate you too?" Ginny asked after Harry had finished telling his story.
"Yeah," Harry nodded. "It thinks humans are too squishy. Apparently I have one hit-point. Whatever that means..."
{That you can't be hit by anything, Overmind,} Adalbert reminded him. {One attack by a drone and you'd be dead. If you'd allow us to grow you a carapace your survivability would at least quintuple.}
{Not against Voldemort. Not against Avada Kedavra.}
"Anyway," Ginny said, ripping Harry away from his mental conversation. "You said your Zergmantula can spin magical webs, right? So what can the Zergtaurs do?"
"Watching the redness of Mars?" Ron joked, as he stood up from the bed. "I don't think the horses can do anything but be a major pain in the arse."
"Ron," Hermione hissed, "they're people not horses."
{The Zergtaurs have been a worthwhile aquisition,} Adalbert stated. {Please integrate your friends into the swarm. It would ease things enormously.}
{I won't consider it before you have a foolproof way to integrate someone. We still lost centaurs in the process.} It went better than with the acromantula, but there were still too many problems for Harry's liking. Nothing he would want to risk his friends with. The centaurs had lost that kind of consideration when they decided to attack.
{May I use your body to explain it to your friend? I believe that would be faster.} Adalbert said.
{You can do that?!} Harry was surprised. {Why didn't you mention it before.}
{We didn't know,} Adalbert said. {We only learned about this when you transfered into a zergling to save Luna Lovegood.}
{I transferred into a Larva before,} Harry had to point out. {Why didn't you learn that then?}
{That Larva may have been me,} Harry's favourite Overlord mentioned. {Are you sure you really transferred into it?}
{Yes, but then the swarm wasn't really conscious back then,} Harry said. {It was only me, the hatchery and three larvae. And I didn't really believe it important.}
{Indeed that would explain it,} Adalbert admitted. {Overmind, you should really finally integrate into the swarm, but the risk is too high. Will you allow us to capture Death Eaters for experimentation next time?}
Harry didn't like that very much. Integration was pretty final as far as he could tell. And Voldemort loved to use Imperiused people as cannon fodder. Rather evil thing to do, but also effective in preventing his enemies from killing his minions outright. In this case though, it was probably better to have them in the swarm than as corpses. Probably.
{Yes,} Harry said. {But only Death Eaters caught in action. I'd rather not have you snatch Draco out of the castle. We're not ready for that yet.}
"Harry, Harry?" Ginny said, waving a hand in front of his face. "Ron, Hermione, what happened to him?"
"He spaced out," Ron shrugged. "Usually happens when he takes longer to communicate with the swarm."
"Hey, I'm still here," Harry protested. "Anyway, I can have Adalbert explain about the Zergtaurs. I kinda learned about a new Swarm ability."
{You're free to go,} Harry sent his favourite overlord.
"Hello, I'm Adalbert," it spilled out of Harry's mouth. "And I'm going to tell you about the Zergtaurs."
"Harry?" Ginny asked bewildered. "You're joking right?"
"I don't think so Gin," Ron whispered.
"No," Adalbert shook Harry's head. "Ronald is right. I'm the prime Overlord. I control Harry's body at the moment since his biology doesn't allow him to directly connect to the hivemind. I'll explain to you the Zergtaurs."
"Please tell us," Hermione said. "What special abilities do the Zergtaurs have... what special abilties do Centaurs have?"
"The Zergtaurs have the ability to connect to the hivemind. They're stronger than normal centaurs, but otherwise their abilities are the same. Centaurs can give themselves a psionic speed boost. They can see magical fields, especially the magical field of Earth. They reproduce as hermaphrodites which has interesting potential for their further development in the swarm."
"Hermione, what is a hermaphrodite?" Ron asked confused. He'd never heard that term before.
"A person or specimen that has working reproductive organs of both sexes," the bushy haired girl explained. "Apparently each centaur is both boy and girl. I didn't know that."
"I guess they usually don't spread that around," Ginny nodded. "But it explains why we've never seen any females."
"That sounds icky," Ron stated. "I wouldn't want to do that…" the girls raised eyebrows, but Ron simply continued, "Anyway, I didn't know they could see magic."
"Not really," Adalbert shook Harry's head. "They can see the shift in psionic fields."
"So they are magical after all," Hermione nodded to herself. "I mean they are known as magical creatures, but there's never been anything magical mentioned about them other than their ability to read the stars. And that's rather… well…"
"We think they really read shifts in the psionic field of Earth," Adalbert said, "and predict future events that way. It's not a very precise technique though."
"Okay, but that's still not too brill," Ron said, scratching his head. "I mean seeing magic might be nifty, but otherwise… well, they might as well be muggles."
"Fred and George said that there are muggles who read the stars…" Ginny added. "Can they really do that? Is it a magical muggle ability?"
"That's a contradiction Ginny," Hermione stated, shaking her head. "Muggles can't do magic by definition. It's just some occult belief. They can see the future as well as Trelawney can…" she laughed, "no probably better."
"Trelawney actually made prophecies you know?" Harry said, taking back control of his body. {Thank you Adalbert, I think that should have answered most of their questions.}
{Certainly, Overmind.}
"Right…" Hermione rolled her eyes. "She took too much dope and fantasized some crap. Only bad thing Voldemort believed it."
"Well, she predicted Pettigrew's escape," Harry half-heartedly defended his former teacher.
"Maybe, maybe not…" Ron shrugged. "It's not like it really matters right now. I mean your swarm is really military minded right?"
"Um… yeah," Harry nodded. "Almost all zerg are pretty deadly. Except for the overlords, but they're sensors and transport, I think."
"So they could transport those scythe horned snorkacks of yours…"
"Zerglings, Ron," Harry corrected his best friend.
"Okay, Zerglins… anyway, your Overlords could haul them at your enemies or something," Ron said. "They're still essential for your military… But the centaurs," he shrugged again. "This magic sight sounds like something you might want to add to the overlords. And the magic speed boost… well, it sounds like it would be a brill improvement for the zerglings. I mean what I heard from dad… they have to be bloody quick on their own. Add some magical boost to it and they'll be unstoppable."
"How does your dad know?" Harry asked. "He never saw the Zerglings as far as I know."
"He went with Luna when the Aurors took her," Ron said. "He nearly killed Umbrige, you know?"
"Apparently the Minister thought that was brilliant," Hermione shook her head. "Instantly promoted him."
"Good for your dad," Harry smiled then his face suddenly dropped. "Crap, I still have to do my potions homework!"
"Why don't you use the swarm to learn?" Ron pouted. "You get the knowledge and we can play chess or quidditch!"
"That would be cheating," Hermione complained. "Don't do that Harry!"
"Doesn't really work like that…" Harry said. "While the swarm can access my memory freely, it doesn't work that way for me. I guess I could have Adalbert learn and use him as a shuffler, but I think that'll come back to bite me in the arse."
"How?" Ron asked annoyed. "It's not like Professor Slughorn will ever know."
"I'm more worried about the Centaurs," Hermione interjected, distracting her two best friends from a wholly uncomfortable topic. "Won't they be missed?"
"Probably," Harry shrugged. "but it's too late anyway. I guess I need to hide some of the Zerg… just to make sure."
"Why not use the Chamber of Secrets?" Ron asked, then he scratched his head. "Seriously, why didn't you use that thing in the first place? It's certainly safer than the forest."
"The Zerg need to eat…" Harry sighed. "I don't think Dumbledore would have appreciated if creep grew through the walls of the castle…"
"Yes!" Hermione agreed. "I wouldn't either."
"I guess you're right," Ron admitted. "Wouldn't have been good for stealth… but you can still hide them there, I think."
"Sure," Harry said. "I'll sneak in some drones when we return to the school. The swarm wants the Basilisk DNA anyway."
"They want that thing?" Ginny exclaimed. "What would they ever want with that monster?"
{What do you want with the Basilisk?} Harry sent to the hivemind.
{Its size is unusual for snake bodies. We might use its structure or composition to improve existing Zerg strains when you evolve more evolution chambers. The poison seems rather remarkable. We also want to replicate the kill-eye effect. It would be an incredible improvement for our Zerglings.}
{It might also help to recreate a replica of the lost original that served as genetic source for the Acrolisk,} an unknown mental voice piped up. {These swarm memories are rather interesting,} the voice mused. {This new existence might not be as horrible as I first thought.}
A Zergtaur, Harry realized. {Who are you?}
{Ah yes, the Overmind's connection problems… I can understand that you're reluctant to fully integrate though… considering what happened to poor Bane…}
The Zergtaur wasn't too sad about the other Centaur's fate.,that much was obvious. Harry could easily guess this Zergtaur hadn't liked Bane much. But being lost due to a simple failure… Well, he hadn't had much choice.
{Who are you?} Harry asked again, trying to ignore his guilty feelings.
{My name's Huron,} the Zergtaur said. {I'd like to test some theories in the evolution chambers if you don't mind.}
"He's gone again," Ron sighed, rolling his eyes. "What's so complicated about a Basilisk?"
"Well," Hermione began, taking her lecturing posture. "It's like thi..."
{No, I don't really mind so long as you don't interrupt the current projects,} Harry replied to his Zergtaur. {You might want to find some way to make your kind more useful though. We'll have to fight against the Death Eaters sooner or later.}
{I'll see what I can do,} Huron promised, {but you need to give me access to the Basilisk. It seems to be one of the most powerful specimens on this world. Once we've eliminated its strange weakness to roosters it'll be a worthwhile addition to the swarm. Although... we might need a living specimen for that.}
'Yes, yes, whatever,' Harry thought annoyed. They were always looking for new DNA to improve themselves, new specimens and people to integrate into the swarm. On one hand it was great they were so zealous to help him, but on the other hand Harry feared they might be too zealous. It was a good thing he'd forbidden them from attacking people who hadn't attacked the swarm, or students at Hogwarts might suddenly go missing.
"Harry!" Ginny demanded, stomping her foot. "We were talking to you!"
"It can take a while to get answers you know?" Ron said, rolling his eyes at his sister.
Ginny could be pretty annoying, Harry had to admit. She could be nice, but when she was like this, Harry was glad Luna was his girlfriend. Luna wasn't annoying.
"It's the poison, the death stare and the bone structure and muscles, Ginny," Harry said, trying to suppress his annoyance. "Sorry, but like Ron said sometimes it takes time sto deal with the swarm. One of the new Zergtaurs wanted to experiment. He wasn't too unhappy with his new existence by the way."
"Phew, I'm glad," Hermione said. "I do want to talk with them myself though."
Of course she would. At least she hadn't started a FoZfroHc organisation... Free the oppressed Zerg from Harry's control... that was something he definitely didn't need.
"You can do that when we're at Hogwarts, okay?" Harry told her sighing. "The Zergmantula and Zergtaurs can talk for real, remember? And I still can't believe I missed your parents, again..."

Authors Note: Sorry for the long hiatus. I was busy writing my Bachelors and my muse was kinda on strike… I hope I won't take as long for the next chapters, but I'm not sure… The story isn't dead though, so no worries in that regard.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this new chapter. Thank you for reading.
