We just got back inside from the rain. Light was sitting on the stairs drying his hair whilst I was walking towards him. "Well the certainly an unpleasant outing."
"It's your own fault. I mean, what did you expect?" light didn't look up and continued drying his hair.
"You're right, sorry." I looked at Light, his white shirt transparent from the rain. I could see the muscles in his back, the broadness of his shoulders. I took the towel off my head and walked over to Light, picked up one of his feet and started drying it.
Light gasped, his eyes wide. "What are you doing?"
"I thought I might help you out. You were busy wiping yourself off anyway."
"Look it's fine, you don't have to do that."
"I can give you a message as well. It's the least I could do to atone for my sins. I'm actually pretty good at this."
"Fine, do what you want" Light didn't say anything else.
"Alright." I started massaging his foot.
He grunted when I put too much pressure on a muscle. "Hey." He looked down at me, though he didn't try to pull his foot back.
"You'll get used to it." I continued, water tripping from my hair onto Light's foot.
Light picked up his towel and brought to my hair. "Here, you're still soaked."
"I'm sorry." I was still massaging his foot. A silence passing between us, but not an awkward one. I broke the silence, "It will be lonely, won't it?" Light's eyes widened a bit with surprise. "You and I will be parting ways soon." Light stared at me. A look of sadness and shock mixed in his eyes. At that moment my phone rang. I stood up and answered it. "Yes? I understand, I'm on my way." I hung up and put my phone back in my pocket. "Come on, let's go Light. It seems that it's all worked out."
I started walking back when Light grabbed my wrist. I looked back at him into his gorgeous brown eyes. He started to pull me back to him, grabbing the front of my shirt when it was in his reach. He pulled me into him and kissed me. I kissed him back. His arm wrapped around behind me, pulling me closer until I was sitting on his lap. I ran my fingers through his hair, water dripping off.
We broke our kiss in the need for air. Light stared deeply into my eyes and landed a light kiss on my lips. I rested my head on his shoulder; he rested his head on mine. We stayed like that for a bit, our clothes and hair dripping. I lifted my head at stared into his eyes before saying, "Light… I love you." He stared back into my eyes.
"I love you too, L." we smiled and kissed again. Sadly, we both knew that we had to go back. We both knew that we were going to part ways. We broke our kiss and stayed in each other's arms for a bit longer. "I wish we didn't have to leave. I wish time would stop, that way I can be in your arms for ever Light." I hugged him tighter, never wanting to let go.
"I know. I never want to leave you ever again." Light kissed my forehead. I ran a hand down his cheek, wiping the drops of water off as I did so.
"Come on. We should go." It pained me to say it, but we both knew we had to part. I got up off Light and helped him up. We walked back to the others, hand in hand, only letting go as we got to the door that separated us from everyone else. We let go. Touching each other for the last time.
