1:38PM- Sunday

"Hey, Noah, you ready to get your butt kicked?!" A very energetic Rex was opening the doors to the Providence gym , Noah slowly trailing behind.

The blonde teen sighed, "Do you really think you can beat me? You never ever beat me Rex. Ever. Last time we played, you completely missed the net and smashed a window. Six banned us for three weeks because of it."

Rex scoffed , "I'm just being nice to you, if I wanted, I could totally beat you in a flash." The teen slung off his jacket and threw it to the side , cracking his knuckles before standing in a ready position and jokingly wiggled his eyebrows.

Rolling his eyes, Noah grabbed a hold of the basketball and nodded towards the EVO. "Ready Rex?"

The black haired nodded and before he knew it, Noah had started bouncing the ball towards the hoops ,aiming to shoot.

"Not on my watch!" Rex ran at Noah, arms positioned to take the ball off the teen, he was so close, fingers almost touching the ball-

BANG

"SHIT! Are you alright?"

"¿Quién puso el polo allí…"* Rex shook his head while slowly sitting up off the floor.

"Qui what now? Rex?" Noah knelt down in front of the dark haired teen who was steadily sitting up right, leaning against the offending pole.

"I said, who put that pole there. It really hurt my head. Stupid pole." Rex turned around slightly in a small attempt to glare at the pole he was supporting himself against.

Noah let out a small laugh , "You should have watched where you were going, don't blame an inanimate object!"

Rex shot a glare to his friend, "shut up." Rex stood up and winced while rubbing his head,he walked over to his jacket which was flung to the side of the room before placing it back on, "I'm going to see Doc. Coming?"

Noah nodded and followed the E.V.O teen out of the room and followed him along the twisting corridors of Providence towards Holidays medical lab.

Upon reaching the lab, Rex pressed the enter button to the left of the door and waited of the metal door to slide open. "Doc, I'm dying. Help." Rex dramatically slumped into the room and slipped himself up onto the metal medical bed and awaited Holiday to come over from the computer she was working at.

"Are you being dramatic or being serious? Your vitals never spiked or dropped or anything like that." Holiday raised her eyebrows at the teen who physically looked completely fine. "If you're being dramatic you can leave now." Holiday looked up towards the door and noticed Noah standing in the middle of it. "Noah, you can come in, maybe you can tell me what happened without being as nearly as dramatic."

The blonde teen nodded and walked into the middle of the room, "nothing serious happened. We were shooting some hoops and he hit his head on the hoop pole." Noah shrugged and rolled his eyes towards his friend.

Holiday sighed and stood up and walked towards a cabinet towards the end of the room. She opened the door and pulled a few things out before making her way over to the tanned teen sitting on the examination table while placing some disposable gloves on her hands.

Rex began swinging his legs back and forth slightly as Holiday flashed a small torch light into his eyes checking his pupils , she then gently pressed her fingertips around his head checking for any bumps, she stopped and pressed down slightly on the back of his head as he hissed out.

"You have a bump, it's only small but how did you do it?" Holiday took off her gloves and threw them into the bin beside the bed.

Noah spoke up first, "he ran into the basketball pole then decided to blame the pole."

Holiday nodded a thanks and turned her attention back to Rex who was currently glaring at Noah while muttering under his breath, "you're fine. If you start getting dizzy, feel sick or blackout, all 3 you probably won't experience, come back." Holiday turned away and walked back to her computer, sitting down in her chair and turning all her attention back to her previous work.

2 Hours Later (3:50pm)-

Noah went home soon after the basketball incident, claiming Rex was being 'childish' and 'annoying' as he kept on complaining that his head still hurt an awful lot.

The dark haired teen was now walking around the corridors of Providence Headquarters while whistling quietly to himself with his hands placed in his jacket pockets.

"Stupid pole, stupid basketball, stupid head" He groaned as he entered his living quarters with a sigh as the door sealed shut behind him.

"What's wrong with you this time hotshot?" Bobo looked up from where he was laying on his bed, game in hand, thumbs pressing buttons with speed.

Rex sighed and sat on one of the bean bags on the floor , "oh nothing, just walked into a pole while playing basketball earlier with Noah."

The chimp laughed and shook his head before going back to his game, " probably showing off i bet." He shook his head and zoned into his game.

Sticking out his tongue at the chimp, Rex leaned back in the bag and rubbed his head with a wince, for a small bump it really damn hurt. The teen closed his eyes and sighed lightly, thinking to himself that a few minutes sleep wouldn't hurt, it'll probably help after all.

Ten agonizingly slow minutes passed and Rex still wasn't asleep. He was exhausted and his head was just getting worse and worse with every passing minute , sitting up he glanced around the room, Bobo was still stuck into his game and Rex was sure he wouldn't be able to get the chimps attention.

Sighing he stood up and left the room, heading towards the gym, perhaps a small run around will ease his head. He jogged up to the gym doors and entered the code and stepped inside as the doors opened with a hiss.

"Right then, 13 laps around and then 68 sit ups followed by 100 push ups and then time for lunch." The teen nodded to himself and started running around the large gym, sticking close to the walls as the went. After each lap he sped up slightly until he was fully running on lap 7, turning around the corners sharply and quickly, he pushed his speed a little more before tripping over his own feet with a skid and flew in the air for a split second before slamming into the ground with a bang and sliding along the floor into the wall, head first.

"MI maldita cabeza!" Rex shouted before rolling onto his front and sitting up slowly, his hand clutching his head.

He screwed his face up tight and let out a hiss of pain when his glove touched the tender spot on his head, the exact same spot where he had hit his head earlier on.

"Oh come on! Seriously?!" He groaned in annoyance when his glove came back wet with blood. "Another trip to the Doc it is then."

Rex stood up slowly, heavily leaning against the wall and shuffled his way to the gym exit and punched the code in as the doors opened up with a gust of air. Wincing, Rex pushed himself off the wall and slowly took a few steps out into the corridor, just to be overcome with a wave of dizziness as his knees collapsed from under him.

The injured teen shook his head and groaned, instantly regretting the movement as he shuffled his way over to the corridor wall and pulled himself up. Pushing himself along the wall Rex set his sights on the medical centre door with unfocused eyes as his head pounded heavily behind his eyes.

Reaching the door Rex typed in the code and slipped inside, not bothering to leave the support of the wall he quickly slipped around the doors corner to lean on the inside wall.

Spotting the young Doctor at her desk, her back facing him , Rex smiled slightly silently thanking someone, anyone, that she was actually in here and not running around somewhere. "Hey Doc, little issue."

Dr Holiday sighed without turning around "what is it Rex? I'm a little busy at the minute."

Rex nodded, wincing at the movement, "I know but remember when I hit my head earlier?"

"Of course I do, but unless you fainted, I'm sure you'll be fine and it can wait."

"I mean sure but that's not exactly what I'm on about." Rex stood up slightly taller as he went to step closer towards the Doctor.

Dr Holiday pushed her chair back slightly to reach down into the drawers and riffled through them , throwing papers around and on the floor in search for something, seemingly ignoring the bleeding teen.

"Doc?" Rex raised his eyebrow at the woman who continued to ignore him in favour for her work.

Shrugging, Rex turned around and stepped towards the door just as a dizzy spell attacked and his headache spiked, shooting stars across his vision and he took a step and ended up on the floor with a thump, eyes drooping closed.

"Rex?" Holiday turned around in her chair and gasped when her eyes landed on the prone body of Rex. She stood up quickly, not caring that her chair tipped over and her papers got crumpled up, she quickly ran over to Rex and kneeled next to him.

"Rex? Rex can you hear me?" She carefully turned the teen onto his back so she would be able to get a better view of him . Seeing his eyes closing she gently tapped his face, his eyes opened in response as he let out a whimper. Holiday took the stethoscope from around her neck and placed it in her ears, placing the cold metal on Rexs chest after pulling his shirt down slightly.

Placing her stethoscope back around her neck she got up and ran to her desk, grabbing a com and pressed the button in , "Six , come in Six?!"

A buzz sounded in the earpiece before a voice sounded, "Holiday, Six here, what's the issue?"

"How quickly can you get to the medical wing? Rex collapsed and I need your help."

"On my way , 2 minutes and I'll be there. Six out."

Holiday sat back down next to Rex who was barely conscious with his face screwed up in pain, "hey Rex, can you hear me? I need you to tell me if you can." She placed her hand on his chest, feeling the steady rise and fall of his chest.

"Mmm, I can hear you" , the injured teen slurred and his eyes looked around the room, as if he forgot where he was.

"Can you tell me what's wrong?"

"Mmm, my 'ead hurts . Real bad. It goin' thump bang ...thump bang…"

Holiday nodded and moved towards his head just as the medical doors opened and Agent Six stalked into the room.

"What happened?" he asked as he knelt down next to Rex and gave him a quick scan over with his eyes.

"He says his head hurts, really bad, he came here earlier after running into a pole in the gym while playing basketball with Noah but I checked that, it was fine, just a small bump, nothing which would cause , well this." She threw her arms out, indicating to the teen beside her before shaking her head.

"Help me get him to a bed? I'll be able to take a better look at him there. "

The green clad ninja nodded silently and picked Rex up in his arms, gently tucking his arm under his neck and his other under his knees as he walked over to one of the medical beds and placed him down gently on the bed.

Rex was laying still on his side, the cold metal of the medical bed was pressed against his fevered cheek, his brown eyes were glazed over and half closed as if he was about to fall asleep at any moment without warning, "where am I?" Wide eyes looked up

to his father figure who raised an eyebrow in worry.

"Medical wing, you came here yourself, you don't remember?"

The teen hummed , not answering the question as his eyes started closing up again, fatigue taking over.

"No sleeping yet Rex, we have to find out what's wrong first and then you can sleep okay?" Holiday said gently as she brushed her hand against his forehead sighing at the small fever that had occured.

"Told you, 'ead 'urts lots."

"Where Rex? It can't be because earlier, there was hardly a bump there."

"Fell in gym after, into wall, crash." Rex mumbled trying his best to look at Holiday as he spoke, yet failing miserably as his eyes betrayed him and wandered off towards the ceiling.

Agent Six rose an eyebrow as he stepped so he was behind Rex's head and leaned forward towards the black hair. "Doc, his heads bleeding."

Holiday took over where Six was standing and placed on a glove, pressing her hand against the dark haired teens head and gasped when the glove game back red. "Oh Rex, only you." She sighed before hurrying over to her medical drawer and grabbing the supplies she needed and started working on cleaning out the wound.

Rex let out a shout of pain as the antiseptic wipe touched the wound on his head and he kicked his legs out, trying to get away from the offending object.

Six leant over so he was in line with the teens face, "look at me Rex, I know it hurts but you have to wait , Holiday will be finished soon."

Rex bit his lip , " 'kay " he whispered wincing still before turning pale at an alarming rate.

"Gon' be sick" he whimpered before he started to dry heave over the side of the bed.

Holiday quickly grabbed a bowl from under the bed and placed it in front of the pale boy just in time to catch the expelled liquids. She brushed her fingers through his hair, mindful of the wound on his head and sighed gently, her eyes filled with worry.

"Srry." Rex mumbled after he had finished being sick. His eyes were closed tight as a wave of pain pushed through his head making him nausea.

Holiday smiled , "not your fault, it'll be okay." She wiped his mouth clean and returned to cleaning out the wound before wrapping it with a white bandage and administering some pain medication via IV which she carefully attached to the teens arm.

"Can I sleep now please?" Rex mumbled, already half asleep.

"You can, I'll have to wake you up soon okay?" But it fell of deaf ears as Rex had already dropped asleep at the word 'yes'.

"What's wrong with him then Holiday?" Six wondered as he glanced down at the sleeping teen.

Holiday sighed and walked over to get a washcloth and placed it on the teens fevered brow, " concussion, if he hit his head again , in the same spot as earlier, like he said he did then definitely concussion at that."

"Aren't you supposed to stay awake with a concussion?"

"Myth, sleep actually helps and anyway, I don't think we would have been able to keep him awake. I'll wake him up in an hour though just to check him over, make sure he has no memory loss." Holiday smiled up at the Agent who nodded his head and walked over to the door.

"Com me when he wakes up." Holiday nodded just as Six left the room leaving her with the sleeping Rex who was no longer scrunching up his face in pain, he was sound asleep.
