She rubbed her forehead, confused, motioning Stefan to fill her glass. "A cure for a vampire?"

"Yes," Stefan answered.

"But you're not completely sure if it's real?"

"Yeah. Klaus told Stefan the tattoo on the hunter is the key to the cure," Damon chimed in, widening his eyes.

"Klaus?" Bonnie questioned. "Wait, but I killed the hunter."

"And that brings in Jeremy. He was a potential hunter and with him killing a vampire made him a full hunter meaning he has the tattoo on him now," Stefan stated, staring at Bonnie, making sure she understood.

"You—um," Bonnie began. "And you believe Klaus? About the cure?" She looked between the Salvatores'.

Stefan immediately nodded his head while his brother pursed his lips, nodding reluctantly.

"So, what's the plan? How do we get it?" She fired off, palms itching for this cure. She needed it as soon as possible. She knows she's not suited to be a vampire. The past few days have shown that more than once. Bonnie wanted this cure no matter the cost. She wanted her life back.

"Jeremy and the tattoo," the youngest Salvatore started. "The tattoo on him is the map to the cure but he has to kill more vampires in order for the map to be completed."

The former witch closed her eyes in defeat. As much as she wanted this cure, she didn't want Jeremy to become a serial killer in the process. "No," she announced, opening her eyes.

"No?" Stefan questioned.

Damon scoffed. "Listen, Bon, all we need is to get a bunch of criminals, give them our blood, kill them, and let little Gilbert go to town. It's really that simple. And then we can have him tell us where to go to get this cure. It'll work. Trust me."

The last Bennett brought her hand to her mouth, lightly biting her fingernails, head dropping to her chest. Damon words circling in her head, pounding at her brain.

It'll work.

Trust me.

And she believed him, just like that. Her head snapped up quickly, realizing why. "I'm sired to you," Bonnie blurted out, eyes solely on Damon.

Both brothers froze.

"That's not possible," Damon said slowly, blinking rapidly as he stared at Bonnie.

Stefan stood to his feet, glancing at the duo. "Bonnie, why would you—"

"Klaus. It was Klaus." Her eyes still on the blue-eyed vampire. "When he found out I could only take blood from the vein, he compelled me to tell him what Damon told me about blood." She paused. "Everything."

She watched as Damon face hardened. "No," he said, his voice just above a whisper.

"Yes," Bonnie countered, anger lingering in her tone. "I was able to drink from a blood bag before you told me I would be miserable if I didn't drink human blood from the vein. Look at what happened when I drank your blood and the blood from the deer. I am sired to you."

"Shit," Stefan exclaimed, looking at Bonnie, guiltily.

Damon clenched his jaw, head still shaking. "This is not possible."

The former witch let out a bitter laugh, leaning back on the couch. "Oh, how I wish it wasn't, but it is, and we need to find a way to break this."

The blue-eyed vampire shot up from his seat, pacing. "This cannot be happening again."

"Again?" Bonnie and Stefan both asked, one in disbelief, the other in disappointment.

He stopped pacing and stared at her with wild eyes. "Yes. Her name was Charlotte."

"Okay? So, what happened?" the youngest Salvatore questioned, sitting next to Bonnie, placing his arm behind her, on the couch.

"Nothing," He stated but continued when they glared at him, forcing himself not to break his brother's arm. "Fine. Basically, I met her in New Orleans and she fell in love with me, beg me to change her, I did. And after that, she started doing everything I asked." Damon watched as Bonnie's brows furrowed, listening intensely. "Even things I really didn't mean." He swallowed thickly thinking of Bonnie and the whole blood thing. "Eventually I left telling her to wait for me. And I may or may not have told her to count every brick in the city while I'm gone."

"Jesus," Bonnie whispered, horrified at Damon last words.

"And you never went back," Stefan stated.

Silence surrounded the trio before the former witch broke it.

"So, what do we do?"

:::::

He slowly let out a breath as he paced in his office, tape recorder in hand.

He pressed record.

"From our last meeting, Bonnie Bennett, even though mentioning she's unable to practice, proved herself wrong by lighting over fifty candles. This was performed with hypnosis at the beginning of our session and with the assistance of chamomile and peppermint tea, to relax her." He stopped talking but continued pacing, gazing at the unlit candles before resuming. "I do believe the reason she believes she can't practice is that of her emotional state. She seems to be in much turmoil with what has happened to her recently."

The professor sat on the edge of his desk. "I also believe that if we have regular sessions over the course of three to four months Ms. Bennett will be practicing again with no problems." Shane clicked his tongue, sighing. "Unfortunately, we—I, can't wait that long. That being said, I do think that a strong and powerful emotional experience could get rid of the fear that's holding her back from accepting her magic. The question is: how do we produce such an event?" He pressed stop on the recorder before going over his notes for his next lecture.

Unbeknownst to the professor a vampire outside of his office heard every word.

:::::

"God, I hope she still isn't here," Bonnie whispered to herself, walking ahead of the Salvatore brothers, being careful not to bump into anyone.

The brothers said nothing as they got closer to the corner of Bourbon and Dumaine.

The former witch's fear grew stronger with each step. The thought that Damon has this kind of power over her made her stomach churn horribly. This on top of what happened at Shane's office and the possibility of a cure is becoming too much for her to deal with. Her steps slowed as she realized that this is her life now. Being a witch in this world was hard enough, but now being a vampire sired to Damon for the rest of her life, she knew she wouldn't make it, there was no way she'll be able to survive this.

She stopped abruptly. "I can't. I can't do this."

She felt hands grab her shoulders, spinning her around.

"Bonnie?" She heard Stefan say.

The last Bennett looked into his eyes, hers widen in horror. "It's too much. Too much, Stefan." She gripped his leather jacket. "What if she's really still counting bricks after all these years? What if he does something like that to me?"

The youngest Salvatore gave the eldest a pointed look.

Damon moved Stefan out the way, gazing down at the terrified vampire. "Calm down," he reluctantly ordered, ignoring his brother's disappointing gaze. "Everything will be fine. We will figure this out."

Bonnie, against her will, calmed down.

"If by some chance she's still there, which I highly doubt, I know someone that we can visit who should know how to help us."

"Then why—" Stefan began to question but was cut off.

"Damon!" someone exclaimed.

Both Bonnie and Stefan jumped back as the unknown woman threw herself at the blue-eyed vampire.

Damon opened his mouth to speak but the woman's lips were on his before he could get a word out. He immediately pushed her away. "Charlotte?"

The woman beamed at Damon, letting out a small cry of joy. "Oh, I knew you'd come back for me. I must have counted literally every brick on every building in all of New Orleans."

Bonnie looked on in shock, fear filling her veins, knowing that if this bond isn't broken soon she'll become another Charlotte.

Stefan began to move to Damon but stopped when he saw Charlotte glare at him, clinging tightly to his brother.

Damon shook his head at Stefan, motioning for him to stay put, before turning his gaze to Charlotte. "Um, Charlotte, hi." He pulled her arm from off of him. "Please tell me you had a full life and that you've done something other than counting bricks."

"Of course, I have, I'm not crazy," Charlotte supplied with a chuckle.

Bonnie remained quiet.

Stefan stepped in front of Charlotte seeing her eyes focusing on his former witch friend. "Then why are you still here?"

The pale skinned woman faced Stefan. "You know when someone breaks up with you and there's a song that reminds you of them." She placed her hand on Damon's shoulder, caressing it, a tiny smile playing on her lips. "But then it brings back all the good memories of them. Counting the bricks is my song and I've been playing it for decades."

Damon looked at Bonnie, his heart dropping to his stomach seeing the devastation and horror on her face. He knew he has done a lot of shit to Bonnie, said some unspeakable things, but he couldn't let this happen to her. He needed to make this right. He looked back at Charlotte. "Well, you know, in the plus column, you know New Orleans better than anyone in the world. Which is really nice, because we need your help finding someone."

:::::

"Do you think she's okay?" the doppelganger asked her friend as she laid on her couch.

"I don't know," Caroline sighed. The blonde vampire had planned for today to be a girl's day in, no boys, no supernatural mess, just the three of them, but of course, things had to go astray.

"Sorry." Elena glanced at Caroline, a guilty look on her face. "I'm just worried about Bonnie."

She took a bite of her pizza crust, pouting slightly. "Yeah, me too. I mean, they left without telling us and she's with Damon." She shuddered. "At least Stefan's with them, I hope."

The Gilbert girl's chin dropped to her chest, mumbling out her words. "He's not that bad…"

A snort escaped Caroline while she gave Elena an incredulous look. "Yeah, he's not that bad to you, but to the rest of us, he sure is. Hell, that's even a stretch saying he's not bad with you."

"Care, come on, I know you and Damon haven't been good friends but—" the doppelganger stopped talking seeing Caroline's face.

"You know what? Let's not talk about Damon when there are a million other things we could be doing. Like how we're going to throw Bonnie a birthday party tonight when she gets back."

"With everything that's going on, I think that last thing Bonnie will want is a party."

"Please, Bonnie deserves a party after everything she's been through. And it's going to happen so don't argue with me."

The Gilbert girl's mind was running a mile a minute. First, Bonnie becoming a vampire, which was solely her fault, then the hunter Bonnie killed, being cursed. And then there's Jeremy. And there was still Klaus out there doing God knows what. But something told her that something was still going on with Bonnie, otherwise, they wouldn't have left in the wee hours of the morning without informing her or Caroline. And it's something big. It took every ounce of her not to try to track their phones and follow wherever they went.

Maybe a distraction is what is needed. "Fine. I'll do it. I just hope she's back in time."

The blonde beamed, as she stood up, gathering the pizza box. "Oh, she better be." She headed toward the kitchen. "Now get ready for bed, while I check on Tyler."

:::::

The former witch peeked at her watch as she walked behind Damon and Charlotte, Stefan at her right. "4:37," she murmured. "It's officially my birthday."

The youngest Salvatore bumped into her playfully, as they moved in the crowded streets of New Orleans. "Well, happy birthday, Bennett."

Her lips curled upward, as she glanced to her right, amused by his name for her. "Thank you, Salvatore."

Damon turned around, walking backward, smirking as his eyes focused on Bonnie. "You know what, BonBon? I promise you'll hav—"

The girl in question glared at the blue-eyed vampire. "Uh-huh. You don't get to say anything to me or Charlotte."

"But—," he started to say.

"Nope. Not a word, Damon."

The oldest Salvatore narrowed his eyes before facing forward, pouting.

"I don't like the way she's talking to you, Damon," Charlotte chimed, sparing a look at Bonnie. "Do you want me to handle her?"

Bonnie straighten her posture, a brow raised. "Handle me?"

"Alright," Stefan said calmly, throwing an arm around Bonnie's shoulder, gently pulling her to his side. "There will be no handling."

Damon looked back. "I don't know, brother. I'd love to see them—."

He stopped talking, seeing his brother's scowl.

"We're here," Charlotte announced.

The vampires turned to a storefront, seeing artifacts displayed in the windows.

"Well," Damon stared, moving toward the store's door. "Let's get this over with."

They quietly followed the blue-eyed vampire.

"I'll be with you in just a second," a voiced called out from the back of the store, just as the bell sounded, signaling the vampire's presence.

Bonnie took in the items in the store, noticing the different herbs and bottles of oils.

"How can I help you?" the woman said, coming into view.

"Hi. We're looking for a witch."

The last Bennett said nothing as she watched on.

The beautiful woman shook her head. "I'm sorry. I don't understand."

Damon exhaled sharply. "Look…" he looked to the board behind her, seeing a name. "Nandi, is it? Let's skip the part where you pretend like you don't know what we're talking about."

Stefan stepped forward knowing that at any moment Damon can make this whole situation go left if he said the wrong thing.

"We need a spell." The blued-eye vampire continued. "That can break a vampire sire bond. Now there's was a witch here named Val. Ring any bell?"

"What? Sire bond? What does that mean?" Charlotte whispered into the air but was ignored.

"First, Val is dead. And second, I can't help you with that, I don't practice." Nandi replied.

Bonnie stepped up, pushing Damon to the side. "Please," she began, her voiced strained with desperation. "If you have any information on how to break it. Please tell us."

Nandi pursed her lips, tilted her head, staring at Bonnie. "A vampire sire bond can be broken one of two ways: telling the person you sired to live their life without you, essentially letting them go. Telling them never think of you again, to stop caring about you and then you leave them."

"And the other way?" Stefan asked as he stepped forward, placing himself right behind Bonnie.

"The other way can only be done by someone that does Expressions."

Damon's brows furrowed. "Expressions?"

"The most powerful but extremely dark type of magic."

"I've never heard of it before," Bonnie said, her mind flipping through the pages of grimoires that she's read, the information she received over the years and not once does she recall coming across the word Expressions.

The sound of Nandi's nails tapping on the counter echoed throughout the vampires' ears. "You should know." The beautiful New Orleanian looked at the former witch, a brow raised. "You're practicing it."

All eyes turned to the last Bennett.

Bonnie looked at Nandi, bewilderment etched on her face. "What?" She whispered, shaking her head. "I don't practice that. I can't even use magic."

"Oh, but you do. I don't know how you did it, but you Bennetts have a way of doing just about anything." Nandi said. "I can see the magic on you." Her eyes traveled over Bonnie.

Bonnie opened her mouth to protest but the image of the lit candles flashed in her head.

She did that. She lit those candles. With magic.

"Bonnie?" Stefan asked quietly.

Her head snapped towards the younger Salvatore, eyes wide with panic.

"So, say BonBon here can somehow do this Expression stuff, how would she go about doing it?" Damon questioned, his gaze shifting between Bonnie and Nandi.

"With this magic, you can do just about anything." She focused on the Bennett girl. "You just have to will it and it's done."

Bonnie said nothing.

Nandi tilted her head, pitifully. "Either you do it, or let him let you go, or you spend the rest of your life being sired."

Stefan grabbed Bonnie's hand, as he looked at his brother. "You deal with Charlotte."

The eldest Salvatore looked to Bonnie, finding himself not wanting to leave her alone, but quickly shook off the feeling before exiting the shop, Charlotte following behind him.

Stefan squeezed Bonnie's hand. "Thank you," he said to Nandi, turning to leave, Bonnie following quietly.

Just as they reached the threshold Nandi words hit their ears. "You better watch yourself out there, girl. There's gonna be a lot of people gunning for you if they find out what you are."

:::::

A sigh escaped Damon, as Charlotte stared at him wide-eyed.

"So, I'm sired to you." Her voice was small.

"Yeah."

"But—but we can work this out, Damon," she said desperately, clinging to his arm. "I don't want to live without you, again. I can't."

"No, I need to get on with my life and so do you," Damon told her. And that's when the guilt hit him.

Damon wondered why the guilt was just hitting him now. In the back of his mind, Charlotte was always there. If she was alive, if she was still counting bricks, if she moved on and forgot about him, but the guilt was never attached. Maybe the presence of the guilt only surfaced because of Bonnie. Because for whatever reason he felt something for his former enemy now friend, if that's what they're even are.

A sob brought the blue-eyed vampire out of his thinking. He looked to the redhead. "You deserve to be happy, you deserve a life that's not tainted by me. Charlotte," Damon began, making sure she was looking at him. "You will stop caring about me. You will forget about me and never think about me again." He wiped a tear from her flushed cheek. "Goodbye, Charlotte."

:::::

"Bonnie?"

She ignored Stefan's calling as she stood on the sidewalk, seeing nothing.

"She's right," the last Bennett mumbled. "She's right."

Stefan appeared before her. "What?" he questioned, brows bunched. "Nandi? Nandi's right about you?"

"Yes," she whispered, finally focusing on the youngest Salvatore. "I lit that candle."

Confused, Stefan narrowed his eyes. "What do you mean? What candle?"

"Shane. With Shane." She elaborated, seeing Stefan's confused face still present. "I—I…" she took a deep breath. "I went to see Shane to get the rest of Grams things and we did this—this…I don't know, he gave me some tea," her brows creased trying to explain. "And somehow, I lit that candle, Stefan."

He slowly shook his head. "So, we go to Shane? And see if he can help us?"

"No."

Bonnie and Stefan turned to see Damon approaching them.

"No?" Bonnie questioned, glancing at Stefan then back to Damon. "But he can help me do something I shouldn't be able to do. At all." She stepped away from Stefan as Damon closed in on her. "He's our best bet in helping us break this."

His face scrunched up. "Bonnie, you barely know the guy and he's somehow got you to do magic. Magic, Bonnie, something you're not supposed to do cause, guess wait, you're a vampire." He raised an eyebrow. "How can you be so quick to trust this guy? How do you know he was the one who lit the candle and not you, hm?"

She threw her hands up in frustration. "I don't know, Damon, I don't know, okay. What do you suggest we do, huh? I don't know anything about Expressions. There's nothing about it in any of the grimoires I've read. Shane may know something."

Neither vampire said a word as the sound of New Orleans filled their ears.

Stefan cleared his throat. "Bonnie, how about we go home and decide what we're going to do, okay?" He moved in front of the last Bennett, catching her gaze. "I think its best that we calm down some and think this through."

"Think this through?" Bonnie asked, in disbelief. "Stefan, I am sired to Damon. He has the ability to control me. To make me do anything. Professor Shane may have answers. It's really simple. There's nothing to think through."

"Bonnie, you just turned into a vampire, you puked up blood, you killed someone." Damon saw her cringe but continued. "You're sired to me and," he widened his eyes, gesturing wildly. "Somehow, someway, there's a chance you can still do magic." He gently placed his hands on her shoulders. "You need—"

Bonnie moved from his grasp, glaring at him. "No, you don't tell me what I need. I know what I need. And that's finding a way to break this bond, okay?"

Both brothers sighed before Stefan spoke up. "Bonnie—"

"No!" the last Bennett yelled, veins under her eyes appearing. "I'm going to see Shane with or without you. And Damon, I swear, if you make me go home—"

"He won't," Stefan chimed in. "He won't, Bonnie," he repeated softly, seeing the doubtful look her face.

Damon gave a humorless chuckle, shaking his head before turning to walk away. "Fine. Let's go visit Professor McCreepster."

:::::

Lying down on a beach towel in her backyard, she brought the straw to her lips, slowly sipping her iced sweet tea, the morning sun caressed her beautiful brown skin.

"For real, Lucy, I'm done with him this time," her witch companion said from beside her.

A snort escaped. "Sure," Lucy draws out.

The friend sat up, resting on her elbows, removing her sunglasses from her eyes, placing them on top of her head. "No, I'm serious this time. He's getting too-"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. "He's getting too serious", you said that last time and the time before that and the time before that." Lucy sighed. "Honestly, Iris, every time Bellamy tries to take a step forward in your relationship, you step back and do the extreme, like break up with him. I swear there's going to be a time where he's not going come back to you."

Iris flopped down, placing her sunglasses back over her eyes. "I just—I don't know. I love him. You know I love him, he knows I love him—I just…"

Lucy's phone buzzed. "You're just a scared little shit that's going to lose a good man that loves the hell outta you because of your fear of ending up like your parents." Her brows furrowed as she looked at her phone seeing a message from Bonnie.

Call me when you have a minute. We need to talk. It's important. –Bonnie

"Now call Bellamy and tell him you're don't want to truly want to break up, you just have commit issues while I call my cousin."

Iris sighed, crossing her arms over her head as Lucy stood up walking toward the house. "I'll think about it."

"No, don't think, do," Lucy yelled before entering the house, phone at her ear.

"Lucy?" a familiar voice said, making her lips curl up slightly.

"Hey, Bonnie, what's good?"

"I, um, I really, really need your help."

"Where are you?"

:::::

All throughout his morning lecture, Shane's fingers itched to get in touch with Bonnie. He really wanted to know if she was progressing well with the Expressions. He had been waiting for this for a while. It seemed like every day he was getting closer to what he truly desired.

"Adrian finished breaking the sire bond," a voice said as he entered his office. "You have your twelve hybrids. Now, where are my parents?"

Ah, the lone wolf, Hayley.

"They're dead," Shane replied bluntly, placing his belongings on his desk.

The wolf rose from the chair, angrily. "You lied to me?"

"No, I didn't lie to you I said I'd tell you where to find them." He pulls out a flash drive from his breast pocket, walking close to her. "This is everything you ever wanted to know, including where they're buried."

She stared at the flash drive for a moment before looking back at the professor. "You just picked a fight with a werewolf. You know that, right?"

Shane held his hands up as she inched closer to him, but was unaffected by her threatening words. "Easy, killer, alright? I'm not declaring war here. Now, just because they're dead, doesn't mean you can't see them again."

Hayley tilted her head, confused. "What?"

"This is far from over. We are the beginning."

:::::

"I can't believe you made me ride a taxi," Damon complained, shutting the taxi's door, catching up with his brother and Bonnie.

Bonnie rolled her eyes. "Get over it, Damon."

Stefan spared Damon a glance. "You've been complaining since we left New Orleans."

"Well, seeing as you two are forcing me against my will to be here, I deserve the right to complain."

Bonnie turned around, stopping in front of Damon. "Can you please act right. I am trying to straighten out this mess my life has become, okay? I need you to work with me, be there for me and not an asshole."

The blue-eyed vampire stared at her for a moment before giving a small smirk. "You know, BonBon, you making these mini-speeches for me at Whitmore got me thinking you feel a certain way about me." He finished with a raised eyebrow.

"Seriously?" Stefan sighed, gazing around the college campus.

Bonnie turned around, shaking her head. "I don't know why I try?"

"Hey!" Damon yelled, catching up with her. "Did I or did I not, as you put it, work with you the last time we were here? And if my memory serves me right, you did have a fucking amazing time."

The last Bennett ignored her sire, searching the campus faces, looking for her cousin.

"BonBon, did you hear me?"

"Oh, I heard you," she mumbled before letting out a sigh of relief, seeing Lucy come into her line of vision.

"Hey, girlie," Lucy greeted, pulling Bonnie into a hug, ignoring the brothers.

Bonnie returned the hug, squeezing her cousin tightly. "Hey, Lucy," she whispered thickly, pushing back the tears that threaten to appear.

The vampire brothers said nothing as they watched the Bennett reunion.

Lucy pulled back, shaking her head at the tears forming in Bonnie's eyes. "Hey, hey, none of that."

The last Bennett dipped her chin, her brows furrowed. "It's just so much, Lucy, so much," she sniffed.

The oldest Bennett moved to put her arm around Bonnie's shoulder, steering her toward the campus's library. "Well, it's a good thing you called me."

The Salvatore's heard a weak laugh from Bonnie as they followed behind the girls.

:::::

"Woah, woah, woah," Lucy exclaimed as she sat up straight in her seat, in a private study room of the Whitmore's library. "You're serious?" she looked to Stefan and Damon who sat across from the Bennetts. "She's serious?"

The last Salvatore let out a deep sigh, lightly tapping his finger on the table. "Unfortunately."

Lucy racked her hand through her hair, looking troubled. "Oh, Bonnie." She glanced at her cousin. "What am I gone do with you, girl? Please tell me there isn't more."

Bonnie bit her lip, cutting her eyes to the Salvatore brothers briefly.

The older Bennett noticed and groaned. "There's more isn't there? Okay, hit me, it can't worse than you bring sired to Damon."

"Hey," Damon objected.

Bonnie dropped her chin to her chest, taking a deep breath before lifting her head, looking past Lucy at the off-white wall. "We went to New Orleans to get information about the bond, we met a witch and she said that I'm practicing magic—"

"Expressions to be exact," Damon interjected, shrugging at the pointed look Bonnie gave him.

Lucy remained silent as she stared at her cousin, her face giving nothing away.

Bonnie swallowed thickly. "Say something," she whispered anxiously, needing to know what's going through Lucy's head.

Lucy spoke slowly. "You know that's not possible, Bonnie."

"I know but I was able to light a candle."

Lucy moved to the edge of her seat, slightly glaring. "Bonnie, do you realize what you're saying? First, you're a vampire, a vampire can't to magic, and we know this. And secondly, Express—"

"I know, Lucy, I know. But I was able to light candles when I was with Shane and when we went to New Orleans the witch there said she could see it on me, Lucy, she saw it on me."

"Yep," Damon chimed in. "Ms. Nandi also said that with these Expressions she'll be able to break this nasty little bond."

Lucy sat back, rubbing her hand over her forehead. "Bonnie, do you know what Expressions are? What one has to do in order to use that type of magic? When a witch wants to gain the power of Expression she or he sacrifice twelve people, be it humans, witches, or vampires. And they draw the dark magic from the place of sacrifice and that's why it's done. And every witch that has done it dies."

The last Bennett's brows furrowed in confusion and anger, ignoring Lucy's last statement. "But I haven't killed anyon-" she stopped. "I haven't killed twelve people."

"It doesn't matter. Once you draw magic from that hotspot and any other spot whether it's intentional or not you have access to Expressions."

The two Bennetts stared at each other.

"Okay, let's just—let's just set aside that Bonnie's a vampire," Stefan said, crossing his arms. "How do we get Bonnie to use that magic again?"

Lucy's brow cocked. "Wait. What do you mean by that? You can't use Expressions?"

"I—I can't but," she stuttered, trying to explain. "I can't use it now. But I was able to when I was with Shane."

Her face softened, as did her voice. "Bonnie, are you sure it was you who lit the candles and not him?"

Damon and Stefan shared a brief knowing glance.

Bonnie hesitated before speaking. "I'm not completely sure. But that's why we're here. You can see if he's a witch or not and if he's not then he can help me use Expressions again."

Lucy pursed her lips, contemplating. "Bonnie…"

"Please. I can't spend my existence sired to him. My life is already a mess. I will go crazy worrying about the things he'll say that could make me do things I don't want to. I know that feeling and I can't live like this." She wiped a tear away. "I don't fully trust him, that's why I called you. Please."

The older Bennett sighed, biting her lip. "Okay."

Bonnie smiled with relief. "Thank you."

:::::

"Okay, this is ridiculous," Caroline complained.

The two girls had been calling the lost trio but the calls went ignored.

The Gilbert girl tossed her phone on her kitchen table, running her hands through her hair. "Do you think something bad happened to them?"

"Gosh, I hope not. That'll really put a dent in my plans for Bonnie's party tonight."

"Caroline!"

"What?! Sorry, okay? You know I say things I don't mean when I'm stressed."

"I know. I just think—" she began but was cut off by Caroline's phone.

"Oh!" the blonde exclaimed, as she looked at her phone. "It's a text from Bonnie."

Elena pushed down the hurt she felt as she realized her childhood friend still wasn't talking to her.

"She says that they're okay and she'll see us later today."

The brunette nodded her head. "Okay. Did she say where they are? Or were?"

Caroline frowned at her phone. "No. But I did let her know she has some explaining to do when we see her."

The Gilbert girl gave a fake smile, knowing Bonnie would probably only explain things to Caroline. She blinked rapidly, trying to stop the tears from falling; she rose from her seat, grabbing her phone as she did. "Um, I need to check on Jeremy." She started towards her front door. "Call me to let me know if there's anything else you need me to do for the party."

Caroline watch confused as her friend made a hasty exit. "O—" The front door opened and closed. "—kay."

:::::

A groan sounded as Bonnie dropped her chin to her chest, slouched in the campus bench waiting for Lucy to return from the restroom, grateful that she was able to hold Caroline off. There's no way she was ready to explain what was happening to her blonde friend, she knows she'll go crazy. A chuckle escaped Bonnie thinking about the possible damage would do to Damon. Her brow furrowed in confusion as a thought crossed her mind. She remembers Caroline telling her of Tyler's bond with Klaus, the blinded devotion he had, where he couldn't say anything bad about Klaus, about how he saw no wrong in whatever the old hybrid did.

Her head snapped up hearing footsteps approach her.

Damon.

She noticed his movement slowed as he neared her.

"Hey," he breathed, eyes roamed over her. "How are you?"

She shrugged in response, lips pursed.

"Looks like you have a lot on your mind."

Bonnie laughed bitterly. "I do."

Damon sat down next to Bonnie, pulling something from his back pocket, holding it in his hand. "So, I was thinking that since I've already made your vampire life a complete disaster, let me start off by trying to fix it."

Bonnie stared at him, then at the blood bag he produced from his pocket.

He hesitated before speaking. "You can feed on anything without any consequences."

She continued to stare at the bag for a moment before speaking. "You really shouldn't have that all out in the public for everyone to see."

Damon glanced around campus, noticing no one looking their way. "Eh, no one is paying attention to us and if they do, we'll just compel them," he finished with a smirk, pushing the blood bag her direction.

Bonnie glanced around as she grabbed the bag from Damon, discreetly bringing it to her lips.

Relief spread through her feeling the warm blood slid down her throat. She pulled up from the bag, breathing heavily.

Damon spoke before she could, eyebrows hiked. "Well, someone was quite thirsty. And no thank you, BonBon?"

Bonnie tossed the empty bag at Damon. "You should've done that as soon as I told you about the bond."

He narrowed his eyes. "Well, I'm sorry, but I was a little distracted by being told I had another person sired to me."

She sighed. "Thank you for doing that."

"Mmm, I aim to please," he said, smirking, throwing the blood bag in the trash can. "So, tell me the truth do you think you can break this thing?"

Bonnie averted her eyes. "No." But then immediately glared at the blue-eyed vampire, realizing he had forced her to speak the truth.

Damon's hands went up in a surrendering manner. "Listen, I only did that because if you don't think you can do this, you may wind up killing the both of us if something goes wrong. I'd rather us wait to make sure you know what you're doing, instead of jumping into it."

Bonnie knew right then, because of the bond, she should've immediately agreed to Damon's word, but she didn't.

"Our bond is different than what you had with Charlotte and what Klaus had with Tyler." It was a statement.

Damon licked his lips. "You noticed that too."

"Yeah," Bonnie replied slowly. "Why?"

"The hell if I know."

They heard footsteps approaching.

"Not every sire bond is alike," Lucy announced as she stood in front her cousin, hands on her hips, Stefan behind her. "It depends on the people involved and how they're involved. There are times when both parties are affected."

Damon straightens his posture at the older Bennett's words, sparing a quick glance at the younger one. "Wait, wait, what does that mean? Both parties are affected?"

Lucy narrowed her eyes at the vampire, assessing him. "Exactly what I meant. When the sire feels something for siree, sometimes they don't even truly know about, it becomes more potent when the bond is created."

The sired pair said nothing as Lucy continued.

"And from what I hear, this essential type of sire bond makes it even harder to break because the bond isn't one way, it's now a two-way bond."

Damon's eyes widen, as he looked at Bonnie, giving her a fake cheeky smile. "Well, it seems I just made this a lot harder."

:::::

"Okay, so you have the food, right?" the blonde yelled at her phone as she carefully walked to her refrigerator, placing her tray of blood Jell-O shots in, praying they'll set before the party started.

Matt audible sigh traveled through the phone's speakers. "Yes, Caroline, I ordered everything you asked for. It'll be done by four o'clock."

"Yes," she hissed quietly at her successful tray maneuvering. She picked up her phone, turning off the speaker. "Okay good. And you called everyone and told them what time—"

"Yes," Matt cut her off. "I told them where and when the party is. Hey, where's Bonnie anyway? And Elena? And are you sure the Salvatores are going to let you throw a party there?"

Caroline scoffed, gathering her purse as she walked outside. "Like I need permission to throw a party there. Ha!"

Matt chuckled.

"Anyways, Bonnie didn't say she was on her way home, but I'm sure she's on her way," the blonde mumbled to herself before.

"And Elena?"

"Ugh. She went to check on Jeremy but she's not answering her phone. So I have to go get the decorations myself." She entered her car, starting the engine.

"Alright, I'll try her. But if you need anything else, please hesitate on letting me know."

The blonde vampire gasped as he ended the call. "Rude."

:::::

The youngest Salvatore lips twitched as he walked behind Bonnie and Damon to Shane's office. "So, Damon has a feeling for Bonnie?" he asked, almost a matter-of-factly, amusement playing behind his question.

Lucy, spared him a glance, smiling. "It appears so. I swear my cousin has the worst luck ever."

Bonnie looked back at the older Bennett, glaring. "Not funny."

Lucy tossed her hair, with a shrug. "It kinda is."

Stefan bit his lip. "So, what exactly do you feel for Bonnie, Damon? As a concerned friend, it's my duty to know what your intentions are with her. I mean, we've all seen how you act with Elena with the feelings you think you have for her—"

"Think?" Damon cut in, turning to scowl at his brother.

Lucy's abrupt laughter echoed throughout the hall. "God, you two let a girl, no, not just any girl, a girl with the same face as your ex, your ex-doppelganger, come between the two of you, again." She wiped the tears from her eyes, chuckling. "Damn, y'all really are as pathetic as everyone says you are."

Bonnie shook her head at her cousin, laughing but didn't say anything, knowing she was in the same boat as the brothers. "Guys, can we please get back on track? I'd like to get this done."

Damon gave Stefan and Lucy a pointed look. "Thank you, BonBon."

Bonnie simply ignored the blue-eyed vampire and knocked on Shane's office door.

"One second!" They heard.

Damon sighed. "Oh, Professor McCreepy, how I miss thee."

"Hush," the last Bennett whispered right before the door opened revealing an excited Shane.

"Bonnie!" he exclaimed, smiling wildly. "You're back." He glanced behind her. "And you brought some friends. Come in, come in. The more, the merrier. That's how that saying goes, right?"

Stefan gave his brother a funny look, darting his eyes to Shane. Damon shrugged his shoulders, making the universal sign for crazy, flinching when Bonnie hit him.

"I'm Shane by the way." He stretched his arm out towards Lucy.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Lucy," the witch said, shaking his hand.

Bonnie looked at her cousin with a raised brow, both relieved and disappointed when she shook her head negatively.

"Stefan," the younger Salvatore greeted with a handshake.

"Well, it's nice to meet both of you and good to see you again Damon."

"I wish I could say the same," Damon mumbled, with a fake closed mouth smile.

The professor chuckled, closing his door. "To what do I owe this visit?"

"We need your help," Bonnie stated, taking a seat.

Lucy sat in the chair next to her cousin, eyeing the professor as he walked behind the desk, smiling at the Salvatore brothers.

"Of course, of course." Shane took a seat, looking at the Bennett women. "What can I help you with?"

Bonnie took a deep breath, cutting her eyes to Lucy for a brief second then back to Shane. "The last time I was here I lit that candle and shouldn't have. I need to know how you were able to get me to do it."

"Ah," Shane smiled. "Bonnie, that was all you."

The last Bennett shook her head. "No, you helped. The earring, the tea. That was you."

"Bonnie, I just helped you find something inside of you that was already there. The earring was just a simple hypnosis."

"So, what you're saying is: you can't help Bonnie," Damon stated from the back of the room, glaring at the professor.

"What I'm saying is: Bonnie doesn't need my help. She can perform magic on her own. She just has to overcome this fear that's preventing her from doing magic. Which she did the last time she was here hence her being able to do magic."

The last Bennett placed her elbows on her knees, her hands holding her head, sighing.

The fear was still there. Bonnie could feel it swirling inside of her. She let out a shaky breathe knowing exactly what she feared.

Grams being punished again.

Her jaw tightens thinking about the spirits that continued to ruin her life even as a vampire. She bit her tongue as anger pulsed through her veins. She was so tired of living this life, being controlled by someone or something since she entered this supernatural world. She hated it.

Her head snapped up, looking at Shane. "So, what do you know about Expressions?"

The professor's face gave nothing away, eyeing the foursome before him. "I know that it's the most powerful form of magic ever and that many, if not all, that has used it ended up dying because of it at some point."

"That's all you know about it?" Stefan questioned, brows furrow.

Shane nodded. "Unfortunately, yes."

:::::

"You okay?" Lucy asked as they walked into the Salvatores' home.

Bonnie shrugged her shoulders, flopping down on the couch. "I don't know."

The Salvatore brother saying nothing as they took a seat.

"Talk to me. Tell me what you're thinking." Lucy consoled, taking a seat next to her cousin.

"I—," she exhaled, starting at the ceiling. "I'm pissed Shane wouldn't do the hypnosis again. I thought he would want to help but now he's saying he wants me to do it on my own." She bit her tongue, forcing her scream down that threatens to escape. "And I don't know how I'm going to do this if I can't feel my magic."

"Well, we can try and see if you can do it on your own and if you can't, we'll find a way for you too, even if we have to compel and or torture Shane to help," Lucy teased, knocking her shoulder with Bonnie's.

The younger Bennett gave her cousin a small smile.

"So," Damon began with a hand clap. "Do you want to do this now before we're attacked by Caroline?"

Lucy looked at Bonnie, tilting her head in question.

The former human took a deep breath. "Sure. There's no reason to wait."

Stefan placed two chairs in the middle of the living, motioning Bonnie and Damon to sit.

Damon gave a cheeky smile, as both he and Bonnie to a seat. "Ready whenever you are."

The youngest Bennett stared at Damon for a moment before closing her eyes, inhaling deeply.

Bonnie did just as she did when she was at the Professor's office. She forced herself to relax, trying her hardest to find that magic from deep within her, hoping this time she'll actually feel its surface.

Minutes ticked by as Bonnie continued to search for her magic, coming up short after each try.

Lucy broke the silence. "Bonnie?"

"Shh," Bonnie hissed, frustratingly. She opened her eyes, looking at Damon. "Did you feel something? Anything?"

The eldest Salvatore shook his head slowly, a look akin to pity etched on his face.

Bonnie closed her eyes again, hands forming a fist as she began to repeat the phase Shane told her to say. "I don't have to be afraid. I don't have to be afraid. I don't have to be afraid."

The youngest Bennett could hear and feel her cousin approach her and Damon. "Bonnie?"

The girl in question looked at her cousin, tears forming. "It's not working."

Lucy squatted, taking Bonnie hands in her. "I know. But that doesn't mean—"

Bonnie yanked her hands from Lucy's, quickly standing to her feet. "But nothing! I- I-" she stuttered, before shaking her head sitting back down, determined. "No. No, I can do this. I lit that damn candle with Shane, I can do this." She shut her eyes, trying again.

Unbeknownst to Bonnie, the Salvatores and Lucy shared a concerned looked, as the Bennett witch rose to her feet, stepping away from her cousin.

After hitting the three-minute mark Damon spoke. "Okay, Bonnie, it's not working."

Her eyes remained, brow furrowed as she strained to conjure the dark magic.

Nothing happened, again.

The youngest Bennett tilted back her head back, jaw clenched tightly trying to stop from crying.

She recoiled, feeling a hand touch her shoulder, sitting up straight. "Don't touch me."

Lucy sighed, placing her hands on her hips, before speaking softly. "Bonnie, it will be alright."

Her hands shook as she wiped her tears. "No, it won't. This is the only way that it can be broken, Lucy." She glared at her cousin. "And I can't do it." She stood to her feet, throwing her chair at the nearest wall, yelling with rage as she did. "Ah!"

Lucy and Stefan flinched as she flipped the coffee table. "Why does everything have to go wrong?! Why do I also have to suffer?! Why—"

Damon appeared before the last Bennett, grasping her shoulders. "Bonnie, you need to—"

"No!" she growled, moving from his grasp, pushing him. "You do not get to take my emotions from me!" She pushed him again. "You don't get to control me. Sire bond be damned. I control me. You—"

A voice sounded, interrupting her angry spill. "Sire bond?"

The foursome turned to the direction of the voice, seeing Caroline.

Tears flowed down her face as she stared at her best friend, breathing erratically.

The blonde dropped her bags as she moved to her friend, pulling her into a hug. "Hey, hey, it'll be okay."

Bonnie shook her head against Caroline's shoulder, tighten her hold. "It's not."

Lucy and the Salvatore brother looked on silently as Caroline took Bonnie's face in her hands, staring deeply into her eyes. "Yes, it will." She nodded slightly, searching the last Bennett's face. "Cause you're Bonnie Bennett and I'm your best friend and we always find a way out shit situations, okay?"

Bonnie's bottom lip quivered, saying nothing. She wanted to believe Caroline but the doubt pledging her mind was too strong. She didn't know what possible way she could get out of this unless she searched for a witch using Expressions, but there was no sure bet that they would do what she asked without a price. She had no hope. She would be forever bonded to Damon.

"Let's go upstairs," Caroline said, wrapping her arm around Bonnie's shoulder.

:::::

Her dark tresses brushed across her face as she gazed out at the lake, sitting outside of her family's cabin. She could hear her brother calling for her from the inside, but chose to ignore it. Today was her best friend's birthday and it was the first time she wasn't there greeting Bonnie with her favorite red velvet cupcake, waiting for her make her wish, waiting for her to smile that Bonnie smile. But none of that was happening this year, or maybe even the years to come. That thought alone made her shut her eyes in anguish.

How did she allow their life to reach this point? This wasn't what she pictured as a young girl. This isn't what she wanted for her friends and herself. And she didn't know if she could ever fix it.

"Elena?"

She turned to her brother, as he peaked out of the back door. "Yeah?"

"Caroline called saying you weren't answering your phone," Jeremy said,

The doppelganger sighed, as she reached for in her back pocket for her phone. "Yeah, I, um, turned it off on the way here and forgot to turn it back on."

"You okay?" the new hunter asked, taking a seat beside her.

She let out a small laugh, shaking her head, turning her phone back on. "No. It's just so much going on. Bonnie, you, and who knows what's going to happen next."

"Have you talked to her yet?"

"Nope. And I'm sure it's going to stay that way for a long time."

"You know, I think that she'll forgive you. Bonnie has never been able to not forgive someone. It's just not her."

Elena looked down, fiddling with her phone. "Yeah, but this is different. I destroyed who she was. I betrayed her in the worse way. I made her into a vampire, Jer, a vampire, something she hates. I did that. And as much as I want her to forgive me, I don't deserve her forgiveness because I don't regret what I did."

:::::

"So," Damon began, breaking the silence, glancing at his brother and Lucy. "that didn't go as planned."

Lucy flopped on her couch, running a hand over her face. "You think."

Stefan moved the chairs to their rightful place. "So, what do we do now?" He looked at the Bennett witch.

She shrugged her shoulders. "Go back to Shane's."

"I still don't trust that guy." Damon shook his head.

Lucy scoffed. "I don't care if you trust the guy. I need to know exactly what happened between him and Bonnie, so I can help sever this bond if it's even possible at this point."

No one said another thing. Lucy's doubt lingering in the air.

:::::

She could feel Caroline's eyes on her, as she laid on her back on her bed, arm stretch on her head, covering her eyes.

"Bonnie?" the blonde whispered, she moved closer to the last Bennett.

"I don't want to talk about it."

"Bonnie, we have to."

The former witch removed her arm, turning her head to look at Caroline. "No, we don't." Her lip quivered. "Please, not right now."

The blonde vampire stared at her friend a beat before nodding her head. "Okay, but we will talk about this tomorrow."

With a sigh, Bonnie moved to place her arm back over her head but was stopped. "So since we're going to ignoring the obvious, I'll let you rest because today's your birthday and I have something for you."

"Ugh, Care," Bonnie groaned, rolling onto her chest, burying her face into the pillow. "I don't think I can handle a party right now."

"Hey, how'd you know I was throwing you a party?"

Bonnie rolled her eyes, facing Caroline. "Because that's what you do. But cancel whatever you have planned, after what just happened downstairs…I just wanna stay in this room for the rest of my sired life."

"And that's exactly why you need this party. When was the last time you let loose, Bonnie? Had a good time?"

The last Bennett immediately thought back to the party at Whitmore College.

A small smile graced her lips thinking about just how she let loose at that Halloween party. The dancing she did. The feeding she did. How free she felt. The best thing that happened to her since she turned. A thing that happened because of Damon.

Damon.

Bonnie didn't even know where to begin when it came to Damon. And as much as she wanted to blame him for this sire bond, he was just much as a victim in this situation as she was.

Maybe Caroline was right. Maybe having this party could be a good distraction from failure that happened today.

A sigh escaped her before she spoke. "Fine." She watched Caroline's face light up. "You can throw me a party."

"Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you." The blonde vampire hugged Bonnie tightly.

"Yeah, yeah. Just nothing too big, okay?"

"Mmhmm, okay."

Bonnie lifted her head from her best friend's shoulder, glaring. "I mean it, Caroline."

The blonde pursed her lips, nodding. "Of course."

Rolling her eyes, the last Bennett dropped her head, snuggling into her friend's shoulder.

"Hey," the blonde whispered firmly, tenderly gazing at Bonnie. "We're going to get through this. We're going to find a way to break this bond."

Bonnie said nothing.

Caroline sighed softly, gently removing herself from Bonnie and the bed. "So, for now, I want you to push everything that happened earlier today out of your mind and rest until I come back. And don't worry I have your dress, a new beautiful dress you will love, shoes, and yes I know you want to do your own make-up. I sent a text to Matt to pick it up earlier. He's also getting your hair and bathe stuff. If you need anything just let me know or just text him." She took a deep breath, ignoring the amused look on Bonnie's face. "It's about 12 o'clock now." She moved through the threshold, curls bouncing with each step. "So, you have plenty of time to relax, okay?" She started closing the door but paused, smiling. "Happy birthday, Bonnie Bennett."

The last Bennett smiled.

:::::

"Where did Lucy and Damon go?" Caroline asked, emptying her bags.

Stefan grunted, trying to pull multiple balloons into the kitchen. "Lucy went to get something to eat, she should be back any minute now. And Damon…I don't know. He's around here somewhere."

"Woah, woah!" the blonde rushed over to her friend. "You're gonna pop those." She scolded. "Well, I hope Damon doesn't bother Bonnie, otherwise I'm gonna kick his ass. Today is Bonnie's day and he's already messed it up."

"Eh, It's really not his fault. Well, it's kinda both of their faults if you really look at it," Lucy interrupted, taking a seat on a stool. "Since the only reason this bond was created because they felt something for each other." She munched on her fries. "And from my understanding after reading all those damn grimoires, a feeling can be anything, not just love, as long as it's strong enough, a bond will take place."

The blonde vampire brows furrowed. "Wait, wait, Damon has feelings—you know what?" she snapped her fingers. "He has always been weirdly protective over her. And they have that equally weird flirty banter they always do, that's kinda hot." She shuddered. "But ew, it's Damon, he's so beneath Bonnie."

Lucy chuckled. "That's we both agree on." She looked to the younger Salvatore. "So, tomorrow we're going to visit that professor again, get him to spill the beans, see what really went down in his session with Bonnie."

Stefan quickly looked at Caroline who shrugged, before returning his gaze back to Lucy. "Uh, um, okay."

The Bennett witch nodded, licking the salt off her fingers looking at the blonde vampire. "Is there anything you need me to do for this party?"

:::::

He could hear her softly, rhythmic breathing as his hand lightly caressed her door. He bit his lip thinking about how tormented she looked downstairs, how she shouted at him, the fierce expression on her face. An expression that reminded him of Emily. An expression Emily wore the night he vowed to Bennett line, a vow that he broke. Maybe this bond was his punishment for not keeping his word.

A chuckle escaped the vampire, as he knocked gently on the door, knowing there was a damn good possibility when dealing with Bennett witches.

Damon could hear a groan before she spoke, sleep evident in her voice.

"Go away."

A small smile graced his lips, hearing her voice. "Sorry, BonBon, but we need to talk."

"No."

"No can do." He opened the door, finding the Bonnie under the covers, a pillow covering her head. "This needs to be done."

She tightened the covers around her as she sighed. "No, we don't, Damon. I'm supposed to be resting right now not talk about that damn bond, especially not with you." She removed the pillow from her head, glaring at him. "It's my birthday, Damon and I don't want to think about it for the rest of today."

Damon shut the door as he stared at Bonnie for a beat before nodding. "Fine." He shrugged walking to her bed, signaling her to move. "Scoot over, please."

Bonnie's eyebrows jumped to her hairline seeing he sire closing in on her bed. "Um, no." Yet she began moving, making room for him.

The oldest Salvatore smiled cheekily, jumping into the bead, lacing his fingers behind his head, looking at her. "So, what do you want to talk about, since you're forbidding me from talking about the thing that shall not be named?"

Bonnie propped up, placing her head in her hand, moving her hair out of her face with the other. "Let's talk about the fact that I just said no to you and not only did you ignore me, you didn't ask me what I wanted in the matter. You just gave a command and I obeyed like a gotdamn lap dog." She shook her head, disappointment and anger etched in her face. "I could've sworn I was just screaming about you controlling me downstairs." She pursed her lips, pretending to think. "I could be wrong though."

Damon's face scrunched up, nodding his head. "Okay. I'm sorry. I should've asked first."

"Oooh, three sorries in one day, lucky me." She gave him a fake smile before quickly pushing him. "Now get off my bed."

He grunted falling to the floor. "You know, this bed it's technically my bed."

Bonnie moved to his spot. "I don't care. You can leave now."

Damon took a seat in the chair next to her bead. "Unfortunately, I really don't want to. See my brother is downstairs with Lucy and blondie and I don't feel like dealing with any of them now, especially since I'm sure they're all blaming me for this messed up situation." He formed prayer hands. "So, please, Bonnie Bennett, can I stay in here with till at least one of them leaves the house?"

"Ugh, okay Damon." She sat up against the headboard. "What do you want to talk about besides the obvious?"

Damon shook his head, licking his lips. "No. We have to talk about it because there's away outta this that we haven't talked about."

Bonnie hiked an eyebrow in question, pondering for a moment. "Oh," she said, realizing what he was getting at. "You mean making me forget about you. What you did to Charlotte."

"Yes." He sighed. "I can see why you wouldn't want to go through with it, I mean look at me."

The last Bennett rolled her eyes, biting her lip to contain her smile. "Yeah, you're right, because my life without Damon Salvatore would be miserable."

Damon gave a tight smile. "So…"

She sighed. "I've thought about it while flying back home and it hit me, everyone one I love is somehow connected to you, a huge chunk of my life is connected to you, who I am is connected to you in some manner. So, no, if I let you make me forget you then it can change everything. And I'm afraid it will alter my relationship with everyone I know. I'm afraid I won't be able to remember them or the important events that happened because of their connection with you." Grams, her mother, Caroline, Jeremy, and even Elena and Stefan all flashed in her head. "That is not something I want to risk happening, just as long as you take a moment to think before you speak to me, Damon."

"Eh, I'll do what I can." Seeing the look on her face he put his hands up in a surrendering manner. "Alright, alright. I promise I will think before I speak."

"You better," Bonnie said as she laid back down, tucking the pillow underneath her head, trying to ignore Damon's longing stare at her bed. "Ugh." She moved over, making room for the blue-eyed vampire once more. "Fine. You can lay down with me just keep your hands to yourself."

Damon smirked as he climbed into her bed, winking. "I know you couldn't resist me for long."

Bonnie rolled her eyes. "Just remember what I said and we won't have any problems."

The last Salvatore got comfortable, snuggling into the warmth she left behind before turning to the last Bennett. "You know, being linked to you for the rest of our lives won't be a bad as I thought it would."

:::::

"Okay, food, drinks," the blonde mumbled to herself as she walked to Bonnie's room. "Guest, music, blood, balloons, cake, candles…yep, that's everything." She smiled, adjusted her best friend things in her hand before reaching to open the door. "Bon-" she started to yell but stopped seeing what was before her.

Bonnie and Damon.

Bonnie and Damon together, in a bed.

Bonnie curled in a ball laying on her right side. Damon laying on his back, on arm behind his back the other placed near the top of Bonnie's head.

The only thing touching is Bonnie's foot to Damon's leg.

"Okay, this is just disturbingly cute," the blonde whispered to herself, blinking rapidly. She wondered if this was the sire bond doing because there's no way Bonnie would willingly be in bed with Damon. That was the only thing that can explain what she was looking at.

"Blondie, are you going to stare at us all night or would you like to join in?" the eldest Salvatore's voice broke her out of her musing.

"Ew." Her curls bounced as she shook her head, wrinkling her nose in disgust. "Now, just me and Bonnie on the other hand…" Caroline trailed off with a grin.

"Would be amazing." The Bennett finished, her husky voice filling the room. She lifted her head rubbing the sleep from your eyes.

"You bet your ass it would," the blonde replied, cheekily before she narrowed her eyes at the blue-eyed vampire. She sped to the older Salvatore, hand wrapped around his neck. "Did you force her into letting you into her bed?"

Damon had a half of mind to throw the blonde across the room but he knew it would angry them both. "No, right Bonnie?"

Bonnie pursed her lips, pretending to contemplate on her answer

"Bonnie?" Damon questioned, flickering his eyes to her, wincing as Caroline tightened her grip.

"He did at first but I set him straight."

"Mmm," the blonde vampire said in wonder, her hand still around Damon's throat. "How's is that possible? I thought you couldn't go against anything he said."

"Um, blondie?" Damon questioned, tapping on her hand. "Can you let go now?"

They ignored him.

Bonnie shrugged her shoulders. "For some reason, our bond is different."

Caroline returned her gaze to Damon. "Of course, it is." She squeezed his throat once more before letting you. "Okay." She pointed at Damon. "Get out." Her finger moved to the former witch. "And you get up and get ready. I have everything you need right here." She threw a duffle bag on the bed before placing a black dress on the back of the door. "This is a birthday gift from Stefan. An Anthony Vaccarello." She sighed, stroking the dress material. "I'm so jealous."

Bonnie rose from her bed, walking to Caroline, staring at the beautiful dress. "He got this for me?"

"Yep." The blonde vampire grabbed Bonnie by the shoulders, directing her to the bathroom. "Now go get ready."

"Okay. Okay," Bonnie replied, before grabbing the duffle bag. "Don't you need to get ready?" she questioned Damon, who was still laying in the bed watching the girls.

"Nah, I whether watch you get ready. I deserve a little entrainment." Both female vampires rolled their eyes. "And when you're done, I'll return the favor." He wiggled his eyebrows, biting his lip.

"Ugh, disgusting," Caroline voiced. She walked to the older vampire, pulling him from the bed. "Gosh, Damon just get out."

"I'll see you in a while, birthday girl." He sent Bonnie a wink before exiting her room.

Caroline huffed, glaring at the door. "I swear…" She turned to Bonnie. "He'll be added to our list of things to talk about tomorrow because the bed sharing thing was kinda…weird seeing you two that close…" she trailed off, raising an eyebrow.

Bonnie shook her head as she stared at herself in the mirror. "I just—I don't know, Care. I don't know what's going to happen between me and him because if he says the wrong thing I could end up doing something I regret, again, like killing that hunter." She sighed, as she began taking off her clothes. "I told him to think before he speaks before talking to me, but," she shrugged her shoulders. "You know Damon, he can't follow instructions for shit, but hopefully he understands the severity of the situation."

"Yeah, hopefully," Caroline said, doubt lingering in her tone.

The vampires shared a small slightly painful smile.

"Okay, I'll leave you to get ready and when I come back you better be ready for the party," the blonde vampire threatens playfully.

"Yes ma'am," Bonnie saluted with an eye roll, closing the bathroom door.

:::::

"Wow," the doppelganger expressed quietly as she moved through the large crowd of people gathered at the Salvatore's home, music blasting loudly. It's seemed like way more people than she had from her own party. She shook her head, thinking that she'd never thought she'd see the day where Bonnie would have a birthday party at the Salvatore's but here she was.

"Hi," the Gilbert girl said as she entered the kitchen seeing Stefan leaning against the counter.

"Hey," the youngest Salvatore opened his arms, welcoming her into a hug, ignoring the how uncomfortable he felt doing so. "Sorry I haven't been able to talk to you but Bonnie needed me."

The brunette shook her head, pulling away from her boyfriend. "No, no. It's okay. I'm grateful you've been there for her when I can't. But where did you guys go? I was worried sick."

"Um, I really can't get into that right now."

Elena's face hardens slightly. "Stefan, if something is wrong with Bonnie, I should know."

Stefan pursed his lips, looking directly at her. "Look, we're handling the best we can. The fewer people that know, the best, okay?"

She shook her head trying to comprehend what was being told. "Stefan? You're seriously not going to tell me?"

"No, I'm not."

"I deserve to know. Bonnie is my best friend, someone I've known since we were kids. I need to know!"

"I know you've been friends with Bonnie since forever but I think it's best if you don't know, can you please just trust me on this?"

"I can't—Stefan this is Bonnie—"

"Elena." The vampire dragged his hand over his face. "Let's not, okay? When Bonnie wants you to know, then she'll let you know. And don't bother her about it tonight, alright? Let her have her night before you set her off again."

The doppelganger said nothing as she stared at her boyfriend. Seconds passed before she left him without saying a word.

:::::

A knock on the door startled her as she was looking at herself in the mirror.

She cleared her throat. "Come in."

Her cousin entered a beautiful smile gracing her face. "Hey, birthday girl. You look amazing, girl"

"Thanks, Lucy," Bonnie replied, shaking her head seeing what was occupying the witch's hands. "You do, too."

Two shots glasses. A bottle of Patron. A blood bag.

The witch did a twirl, showing off her dress. "It wasn't what I wanted to wear but, it'll do. So anyway, I wanted to do it before I lose you downstairs." The older Bennett handed the younger one a shot, gently tossing the blood bag on the bed. "You can drink that after we're done." She straightens up, inclining her head slightly. "I want to make a toast." She filled their glasses with the clear liquor. "Now I know right now everything feels like shit and that nothing's going to be okay but it will. It may take some time to get there but you will. You're a Bennett and you know we don't stop until we get what we want. And you wanting to break this sire bond will happen, some way, somehow, it will because you're Bonnie Bennett." Lucy could see the doubt on her cousin's face surfacing. "And I know you don't believe but when the time comes I'll be there to say I told you so because I'm not leaving you till we break this bond or when you ask me to."

Tears began to line Bonnie's eyes as she listens to her cousin's words. She recalled the last time she had a heart to heart with a family member. A time that was ruined that if it wasn't interrupted would've changed everything. A time she desperately wished went the way she wanted.

"So," Lucy began again, raising her glass. "I toast to you having a great night tonight, letting go of the shit that's floating around in that beautiful little head of yours and doing shit you'll regret in the morning because, and let's be honest that's the only way to truly party." The older Bennett finished wiggling her eyebrows.

Bonnie chuckled, wiping the tears from her eyes, raising her glass. "To doing shit tonight I'll regret in the morning."

"Here, here." Lucy cheered, tossing back her shot, Bonnie following suit.

Both Bennetts gave a slight shudder as the alcohol slid down their throats.

"Wait," Bonnie said, stopping Lucy from taking the shot glass from her. "One more."

Lucy gave a questioning look but moved to pour the Patron in their glasses once more. "Alright, what's this one's for?"

Bonnie shrugged her shoulder, a playful grin stretched upon her lips. "Just because."

Lucy laughed loudly, hitting her glass with Bonnie's. "Well, I'll drink to that."

:::::

His face scrunched up in disgust looking at the crowd of humans invading his home, the music blasting in his ears.

"You know, your face's going to be stuck like if you keep making that face," his little brother said.

Damon cut his eyes to Stefan who took a sip of his drink. "I didn't approve of this party, you know?"

The youngest brother scoffed softly. "Like Caroline cares."

"I saw the dress you got Bonnie. Nice pick, if I do say so myself."

"It's the least I could do for her, hope she likes it."

"Oh, she does." There was a slight edge to his voice.

Stefan noticed, raising an eyebrow. "Is that jealousy I hear? I mean, I wouldn't be shocked, seeing as you have feelings for Bonnie."

"You know, this mocking of yours is getting on my nerves," Damon growled, glaring at his only sibling.

"Really?" Stefan said sarcastically with a taunting smile.

Damon returned his gaze to the crowd, spotting Elena who looked very uncomfortable. "There's your girl." He gestured his chin to the Gilbert girl.

Stefan sighed. "Yeah. We spoke earlier."

"Mmm. Trouble in paradise?"

Tossing back the rest of his drink before mumbling. "When is there not?" He turned to face Damon fulling. "But don't worry, all three of us will talk later about this bullshit triangle going on between us."

The eldest Salvatore opened his mouth to speak but Stefan was gone before he could get a word out. He blinked rapidly, processing what his brother had said. Stefan couldn't be serious, right?

Damon shook his head, chuckling slightly. There's no way he's going to sit down with his brother and Elena discuss whatever was going on between them. But then again, this meeting could make things go in his favor. It could make Elena realize just how much he loves her. And he knows his brother. He knows Stefan's sick of this triangle bullshit, as Stefan put it, and as much as his brother loves Elena, he knows without about a doubt Stefan would end things with Elena to make everyone happier.

The eldest Salvatore gaze found the doppelganger as she made her to him through the thick crowd of people.

"Hey," she yelled over the music, leaning into him slightly.

He grabbed the drink from a stranger as they walked in front of him. "Thank you for my drink. Go get your own." He compelled.

"Seriously, Damon?"

"What?" he shrugged. "I needed a drink."

Elena shook her head. "Hey, so where did you guys go? And what's wrong with Bonnie?"

"Ah, straight to the point, huh?"

She sighed. "Damon."

"We needed to go somewhere for something and Bonnie's as good as she's going to be for the moment." He cut his eyes to her, narrowing them slightly. "So, did my brother tell you about the meet we're having?"

Confusion washed on the doppelganger's face. "Meeting? For Bonnie?"

"No. A meeting for us." He elaborated, seeing the confusion still present. "So, we can talk about your feelings for me."

Elena blinked rapidly, trying to understand what was just said. "Wh-wh-what? I—"

"Yep, so, you might want to bring some notes, you know, just so you'll be prepared."

:::::

"Bonnie!"

"Happy birthday, Bonnie."

"Happy b-day, girlie."

Bonnie smiled, chuckling softly at the greetings she was receiving, whispering a thank you to everyone that pulled her into a hug.

"Bonnie!" a familiar voice screamed. She turned seeing Caroline rushing toward her, holding Jell-O shots in her hands. The days old vampire opened her arms waiting for the blonde. "Ah! Happy birthday!" she screamed, crushing bonnie in her arms. "Here, here." She handed the green-eyed vampire two Jell-O shots.

The former witch tossed her head back laughing. "You know me so well."

Caroline's curls bounced as she shook her head, giggling. "Well, you are my best friend. Oh, and I added something special." She wiggled her eyebrows, wickedly.

Bonnie cocked an eyebrow in response, silently loosening her shot before consuming it. "Mmm," she said tasting the alcoholic treat. "Blood."

"Yes! Okay now that that's done." Caroline grabbed Bonnie pushing her into the crowd of dancing people. "It's time to let loose."

The last Bennett laughed before she started to dance, taking comfort in the vibrations of the music humming through her bones.

This was her 21st birthday and as much as she wanted to dwell on the fact that she was celebrating such a meaningful milestone as a damn vampire she pushed the thought away.

Her hips rolled rhythmically as GoldLink's Dance On Me filled the Salvatore's home, eyes closed. Her head turned from side to side, her curls bouncing as she did. Her knees bent slowly lowering herself to the floor.

You so fine I eat behind,

between your legs

In those jeans,

take those off now watch you spread

"Aye!" she screamed, joyfully, as she made her way back up, bending at the waist shaking her ass.

As soon as she straightened up she felt someone wrap their arm around her. She turned to see Lucy, shot glasses in her hands.

Lucy leaned down to yell in her cousin's ear. "Drink?"

Bonnie bit her bottom lip, nodding her head. "To morning regrets, right?" she yelled back, still moving to the beat, grabbing her cup.

The older Bennet nodded with a smile. "Morning regrets."

"Thank you!" Bonnie yelled before doing a twirl as Migo's Fight Night blasted through the speakers.

She and Lucy swayed to the music as they drank from their cups. "Hey!" she heard a familiar voice enter her ears. "Bonnie!"

She turned to see a red-faced Matt making his way toward her. "Matt!" she galloped her way to him, pulling him into a tight embrace.

He returned the hug. "Happy birthday, Bon!"

She pulled back, grinning widely. "Thank you!"

"I got you a gift but Care wants to wait till we can all get alone."

Bonnie, pouting, turned to look for her blonde friend but came up short.

The Donovan boy grabbed her hand. "So, in the meantime let's dance!"

The last Bennett giggled as her friend spun her around, together mouthing the lyrics to the song.

Beat it with the left, beat it with the right

I'ma knock the pussy out like fight night

Matt smiled seeing his childhood friend happy after what happened to her. After all, she's been through she deserves this and more. And as much as he hated her being a vampire, he was extremely grateful that she was here, alive.

Bonnie knocked her hip with his, leaning to yell in his ear. "What's with that look?!"

"Nothing!" He shook his head. "Just happy you're happy!"

She stopped moving, smile diming, knowing her happiest wasn't going to last long.

Matt pulled her into another hug, lightly kissing her hair.

:::::

Several minutes passed all filled with the last Bennett dancing and drinking as much as she could before she moved to lean against a wall, watching her peers enjoy themselves. Somehow through her celebration, she lost Lucy, Matt, and Caroline but for once she didn't care. Her plan tonight was to enjoy herself because she wasn't sure if she'll ever have another day like this again.

"Bonnie!" someone called out.

The former witch looked to see Kerri, a friend from school, approach her, a shot in each hand.

"Kerri!" Bonnie exclaimed, moving from the wall, carefully hugging her friend.

"Happy birthday, hon!" the human yelled.

"Thank you," Bonnie smiled crookedly, accepting the shot. "Did you just get here?"

The beautiful girl shook her head. "Nah, been have for about an hour or so. I've been looking for you, so we can do these birthday shots."

Bonnie grinned looking at the brown liquid in her glass before giving Kerri a knowing look. "Hennessey!"

The human nodded with a smile. "Yep. Now drink up birthday girl."

The two touched glasses before consuming their shot, both wincing slightly. "I still hate this shit," Bonnie complained the, scrunching her face in disgust.

Kerri giggled as Bonnie took the empty glass from her. "I know, but it gets you drunk quicker!"

The new vampire laughed. "You're right about that." She handed off the glasses to a random person. "Take these to the kitchen then returned to the party." She completed.

The random person nodded. "I'll take this to the kitchen and come back to the party."

Kerri's eyebrow arched, watching the person leave. "Oh, so when Queen Bonnie says jump, her servants say how high, huh?"

Bonnie opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted.

"Mmm. And she didn't even say please."

"Damon." Bonnie greeted, making no attempt to move as he leaned against the wall, entering her personal space.

"And you are?" Damon questioned the human, his eyes remaining on Bonnie, taking in the way the dress fitted her body, making him briefly wonder how Stefan knew what size she wore. The way her hair clung to her neck that glistened with sweat.

The human girl glanced between the two vampires. "Kerri." She locked eyes with her friend. "This you?" she gestured to the dark haired male.

Bonnie snorted. "No."

Damon grinned. "Yes."

Kerri's lips twitched in amusement. "Well, I'm gonna get back to the party and let y'all figure that out." She said before walking away from the duo.

Bonnie faced Damon leaning her right shoulder against the wall. "Why did you say yes?"

A faux innocent look appeared on his face. "I would be lying if I said I wasn't yours or you weren't mine." He laced his fingers together, smirking. "We're like this Bon. Tightly bonded together."

"Unfortunately." The former witch mumbled, narrowing her eyes.

Damon unlaced his fingers, shrugging. "Or fortunately, depending on how you look at it."

Bonnie faced the crowd of people as she side eyed Damon. "No way is being bonded to you is fortunate, but I refuse to focus on that. Tonight is my night to do anything I want and have my regrets in the morning, so I better get back to it." She walked off, swaying her hips to the beat as she did.

"Maybe I can be on one of those morning regrets?" Damon yelled, tilting his head as he stared at the moment of her hips.

Bonnie waved him off, yelling. "We'll see."

"You know we can always have a redo of our night at Whitmore."

The former witch turned, walking back to the blue-eyed vampire. "You would want that, wouldn't you?" And as much as she didn't want to admit it, a part of her wouldn't mind reliving that moment again.

Damon shrugged. "I wouldn't mind revisiting it." He moved closer, leaning down to whisper in her ear. "It was fucking amazing."

The last Bennett bit her tongue to suppress the shiver that threatened to overcome her body as his warm breath caressed the skin on her neck. She pulled back letting her eyes travel over his face. Bonnie forced herself not to think of the possible outcome if they did repeat their night at Whitmore here. How it could possibly complicate her life even more than it already is.

She could still remember how his body felt pressed against her back. How his fingers found her hip as he brought the human to them. How amazing and free she felt as they simultaneously drank from that girl.

She wanted that again.

Bonnie snapped her eyes from his dark hair to his blue eyes. She grabbed his hand, ignoring the smug look he gave, pulling him into the dancing crowd.

:::::

She sipped her drink slowly, swaying and bobbing her head to the music. Her thought went to what Damon said to her early. She was angry when he said they were having a meeting about her feelings. A meeting, like she was a damn project and they had to check on her progress.

The doppelganger let out a sigh knowing they had every right to. Their feelings are involved also. And as much as didn't want to admit it, she wanted them both. And she felt awful for feeling this way.

She loved Stefan, she's in love with him, will always be, but she wanted his brother too.

She couldn't say she wanted Damon for the darkness he possessed because Stefan held the same darkness. But Damon was something, someone, she wanted to try, which made her think that she wasn't in love with him, just to see how they'd be together.

Elena shook her head. She truly didn't know how she felt. Her eyes scanned the crowd, spotting Bonnie, Damon and some guy embracing. Her heart launched seeing Bonnie sandwiched between the two. Her heartbeat echoed in her ears seeing Damon's hand on Bonnie's hip, his front glued to her back, swaying to the music.

Her eyes widen when she realized they were both feeding on this guy.

Bonnie's face buried in his neck.

Damon's mouth at his wrist.

"Oh my god," Elena whispered in shock.

She continued watching as they pulled away from the guy. Damon saying something to the guy before the buy gave a nod and walk away.

She watched as Damon turned Bonnie around, facing him, she watched the vampire that loved her smirk, raising a hand to wipe a drop of blood from her best friend's mouth, enclosing that finger in his mouth, his eyes remaining on Bonnie.

"Hey!" a voice sounded on her right, startling her.

She looked to see Caroline. "H-hey!" she looked back to the feeding duo but could not find them. "Did you—did you see—" she was unable to form her question.

The blonde spoke as if her friend wasn't trying to talk. "We need to give Bonnie her gifts. Do you have yours?"

Elena blinked rapidly, glancing back to Caroline. "Um, yeah, yeah. It's in Stefan's room."

"Okay, go get it and put it in her room on her bed. She can open them when sometime tomorrow. And then get your ass back done here so we can party."

The doppelganger just nodded, walking toward the stairs, wondering if how she was going to bring up what just happened to Damon and Bonnie.

:::::

A smile radiated on her face as she continued to dance, the sweet blood still present on her tongue, Damon still behind her.

"You can let go now," she said to her sire, turning her head slightly.

"Mmm, nope." He squeezed her hip before spinning her around to face him. "I like being close to you. We seem to always have fun when we are." His blue eyes finding her green ones.

Her hands found purchase on his neck. They swayed to the slow beat of the music. "That's a lie."

"Is it, though?"

Bonnie chuckled. "So, you don't remember biting me when Emily possessed me?"

Damon gave her a spin before pulling her to his chest, resuming their dance. "See, I wasn't in my right mind—"

"When are you ever?"

Damon ignored her. "And I thought you were Emily." His right hand caressed the small of her back, his eyes soften. "I'll have to make it up to you."

Bonnie swallowed thickly, feeling herself flush at the look Damon was giving her. The same look he gave her in the woods when they were playing tag. She forced herself not the think of why he was continuously giving her this look and not Elena, the girl he's been chasing since forever. She forced herself not to think about the part of her that liked the look he was giving her. Tonight was not the night for that.

She forced a chuckle, removing herself from his hold. "Well, I guess we'll have to wait and see." She turned, dancing her way into the crowd of people, going to enjoy the rest of her birthday party.

:::::

"If your bitch is so innocent, why she sucking my children," the eldest Salvatore rapped softly, stuffing his face with finger food Caroline had on display. "Lights, camera, action, diamond dancing bitch we go in the building."

He swirled around hearing a snort from behind him.

"I never knew Damon Salvatore was a fan of the Migos," a husky voice said, walking farther into the kitchen, smiling wickedly.

Damon's lips curled, shrugging a shoulder, eyes widen in shock. He looked around the kitchen wondering if he was experiencing the hunter's curse. Damon glanced sharply back at his old fired before he sped to the vampire, ramming him into the wall, hand wrapped tightly around the intruder's neck. "Enzo. How are you alive?"

The vampire remained calm. "You know mate, for a hundred-year-old vampire, you sure are dumb. That fire you left me to die in, burned me till I was only bones and even then only a few bones. And you'll never guess who came to my aid." He grabbed Damon's hand breaking before he swiftly broke his neck. "But that, my dear friend, is a story for another time." He stepped over the blue-eyed vampire. "Now I have a Bennett to find."

:::::

She closed the bathroom behind her making her way to back to the party, her mind wondering as she did.

The Bennett witch thought for sure she would never set foot in Mystic Falls again but here she was, trying to take care of her cousin.

She shook her head slightly, thinking of how she should've taken Bonnie with her when she left that night at the masquerade party. How much easier and worry-free Bonnie's life could've been. But instead they here with the Salvatore and some teenagers she didn't know. But if she was honest, Lucy was glad Bonnie called for help because Lord knows how Mystic Falls gang would've dealt with Bonnie predicament.

A low whistle brought Lucy out of his thoughts. She turned to see a man standing a few feet from her. "So, it is true."

Lucy tilted her head, assessing him. "What's with vampires and leather jacket?" She inclined her chin slightly, preparing to attack if needed. "And what's true?"

The vampire smiled, clicking his tongue. "That all Bennett women are absolutely beautiful."

The witch smirked, nodding. "We are. Now, how can I help you?"

"Well," he took a step toward her. "I'm glad you asked. I need to know where Bonnie is."

Lucy stiffened in fear, opening her mouth to speak but before she could the vampire appeared behind her, sticking a needle into her neck, making her cry out in shock. She yanking herself away from the mysterious vampire, glaring at him as he appeared before her, her hand on her neck. "What the hell was that?"

"That was a little drug that stops that magic of yours for a few days, nothing permanent."

She immediately tried to break his legs using her magic but nothing happened.

He chuckled, knowing she was trying to harm him. "Now, let's find Bonnie and I'll get out of your hair."

:::::

Bonnie hummed to the music as she made her way to the kitchen in search of more Jell-O shots. A few short strides brought her around the corner and she skidded to a complete stop, seeing a body lying on the ground, neck twisted in an awkward angle. "Damon?!" She ran to him, dropping down to her knees, her hands roaming his body. She let out a sigh of relief finding no damage done to his heart. "Who did this to you?"

"Ah, this you be me, love."

Bonnie looked behind her to see some man hold her cousin's arm tightly. She slowly rose to her feet, hands balled into a fist. "Lucy?"

"I'm fine," the older Bennett assured, glaring at the man beside her. "You need to get out of here."

Bonnie shook her head, incredulously. "I'm not leaving you." She looked at the vampire. "Who are you and what do you want?"

The vampire smiled. "I'm Enzo and I'm here for you, dear."

"Bonnie get out of here!" Lucy yelled.

Enzo yanked the Bennett witch in front of him, grabbing her neck. "Ah, ah, ah. I wouldn't do that if I were you. It's very simple, Bonnie, you come with me or she dies and even then you're coming with me. Let's do this the easy way."

She let out a shaky breath, speaking just above a whisper. "I just wanted one night. One worry-free night." She lowers her head, looking at her hand. "And I can't even get that on my birthday. I have spent year after year of being tortured, lied to, forced to do things by horrible people, being reduced to the help, watching the people I love get hurt." A tear rolled down her cheek as she clenched her jaw, anger pulsating through her body. "I'm done." Her head snapped up, unworried about the tears falling from her eyes, panting. "I am done!"

"Bonnie!"

The last Bennett didn't hear Damon scream her name as all her attention was on the vampire before her. She quickly raised her arm, a move she's done a million times, Enzo lifted up in the air with her action.

Lucy gasped in shock as she took a step back, her hand over her mouth. "Holy shit," she whispered.

Damon rose to his feet, mouth agape watching his ex-best friend dangle airborne.

Bonnie's hand began to slowly collapse and Enzo started to choke.

"Please," the unwelcomed vampire was able to whisper, kicking wildly in the air.

Bonnie remained silent as she narrowed her eyes before flicking her wrist, watching as Enzo's neck snap, his arms dropping limply to his side before he fell to the floor.

Bonnie lowered her arm to her side as the muffled music echoed throughout the kitchen, everyone's eyes on the vampire on the floor, not saying a word.
