One Year Later – Albus POV
As I took my seat in the front row, I couldn't help but be filled with a sense of happiness. Aurora, all dressed up in a beautiful blue dress, bounced quietly on my knee. I had been given the job of Babysitter, but I had a strong feeling it wouldn't take very long for one of the little girl's grandparents to whisk her away from me.
This wedding was to be a small one, with no more than twenty people attending. Across the aisle from me sat Draco and Astoria Malfoy and my aunt Hermione. The three of them were chatting quietly, all with unwavering grins on their faces. I had ten sickles on Astoria crying during the ceremony, and from the way her eyes glistened as Scorpius took his place by the wedding official, I wouldn't be losing any money tonight.
In the row behind them sat a few of Rose and Scorpius' friends from Hogwarts. Conor and Joseph had arrived first and bagged themselves the two aisle seats. Conor recently told his parents about Joseph, and the only comment they had was 'why did you wait five years to tell us?' As a result, they had moved in together and were looking closer than ever before.
My grandparents and Mrs Malfoy Senior sat in the row behind me. They had met twice before and neither occasion had ended in disaster, so Rose and Scorpius had decided it was okay for them to sit together. From the level of chat coming from behind me, I came to the conclusion that they were getting along just fine.
To my left sat Hugo, who looked like he couldn't care less about the entire event. He was just at that age where his social life was definitely more important than his family. Rose had refused to let him bring his girlfriend, so he was sitting beside me with a big scowl on his face.
The seat to my right was reserved for my dear Aurelia, who would join me as soon as she had completed her duty of bridesmaid.
Aurelia and I had started officially dating three months ago. We had spent the nine months before that becoming friends. I wanted to make sure that she felt totally comfortable with me before I even considered asking her out. We spent a lot of time just strolling in the garden or lounging in one of the many rooms of Malfoy Manor. We learnt everything about each other.
Then, one day, she asked me if I wanted to go out for dinner. I realised that that was her way of letting me know that she was ready to try a romantic relationship with me. So we tried and it worked, fantastically.
I heard the music start to play and shifted in my seat to watch Ron escort Rose up the aisle. They had reconciled very quickly, it helped that Ron and Scorpius got along like best friends almost immediately.
Behind Rose and Ron came my beautiful Aurelia. She was wearing a blue dress that was the same colour as Aurora's and she looked gorgeous. She slid into the seat beside me as soon as they reached the top of the aisle. I couldn't keep my eyes off her for the rest of the evening.
As I danced with Aurora later, I couldn't but look at the little baby in my arms and think of all the goodness she brought into the world with her. She brought together two families, that had previously seperated by years of hatred and conflict. More importantly, for me anyway, this tiny baby girl brought me and Aurelia together, which is something I will be eternally grateful for.
That's it, it's over. This is the first multichap that I have completed, ever. I know that it was taken me over a year and a half to finish, but it's finally done.
I just want to say thanks to all of you that have followed, favourited and reviewed throughout this story, especially those who've been with it since the start.
