Regina Mills was standing in the kitchen, putting the finishing touches on the lasagna she just pulled out of the oven, when she heard a loud bang come from her living room. She wiped her hands on her apron as she walked towards the sound. She had left her son, Henry, and her girlfriend, Emma Swan, playing video games while she made a nice meal for them. When she reached the living room, the scene before her made her both happy and slightly angry.

Emma was standing on her leather sofa holding a Nerf gun while Henry was hiding behind the love seat, holding a gun of his own. Henry's Xbox controllers were scattered on the floor along with most of his games for it. Their bowl of popcorn was upside down and they managed to knock over the single recliner. Emma raised her gun and shut one eye as she aimed for their son's hideout. "Come out with your hands up and no one will get hurt."

"NEVER!" Henry cried. He jumped up and started shooting his foam and rubber bullets at Emma. Emma, in turn, started shooting back at him. Once Henry got close enough, Emma grabbed him and they fell onto the couch in giggles.

"What are you two doing?" Regina asked, hand son her hips.

The pair looked at each other with wide eyes. Emma gulped. "We were playing video games when Henry told me about the Nerf gun you got him."

"And then Emma said we should play with them so I got them," Henry added.

"Henry, I told you when I bought you those guns, you're not allowed to play with them inside," She turned to Emma, "And, Ms. Swan, you're the adult in the situation. I expect more from you." The two looked down guilty.

Henry said something first, "I'm sorry, mom."

"Yeah, sorry, 'Gina."

Regina shook her head, "Clean up this mess. Dinner will be ready soon," she turned on her heel and went back into the kitchen. Henry started picking up his games but Emma got up and followed Regina. She found her girlfriend washing the pan she made the lasagna in. She wrapped her arms around her waist and rested her chin on her shoulder. When Regina didn't say anything, the blonde kissed the side of her neck gently.

"Are you really mad about the mess?" Regina turned off the water and turned in Emma's arms, wrapping her arms around her neck.

"Only a little bit."

"So, we're not in trouble?"

"Yes, you are but, not for the mess."

Emma scrunched her eyebrows together in confusion, "So what are we in trouble for?"

Regina smirked, "Not inviting me to your Nerf war."
