*Author's Note*: Sorry it's been so long. My mom got diagnosed with cancer again and it's been a lot of appointments and doctors. But now she is thankfully in remission! Although, now I have health concerns that will likely require surgery. Positive thoughts if you can! Hope you like the chapter!

Eventually, I was able to calm myself. I wiped the tears with my hands and it came off very bloody. I felt panic rise in me. I ran to the mirror, slipping out of Godric's tight embrace and noticed my face covered in blood. My breathing started to speed up as I felt myself become lost in the insanity in my brain. I felt tight arms go around me, turning me towards them and lifting my face to meet sea green eyes.
"Our kind of vampire has blood for tears. I should have warned you but I was thinking of other necessities; for instance, your thirst and potential reactions to everything going on around you with your senses being so heightened. It is completely normal, Bella."
I took a deep breath again while nodding, turning in his arms to face the mirror. I grabbed one of the darker washcloths and wet it while washing away the blood. My breathing evened out the more I looked normal again. I noticed that my hair appeared darker with the red highlights standing out more. While my skin was pale and sallow looking to me before, it now looked healthy but was even paler. My eyes seemed brighter but were still the same color.
"Are you alright, my little one?"
I took a deep, steadying breath before I turned to my mate. "I don't know."
He came closer and wrapped me in his arms. I buried my face into his neck.
"It will take time. You'll adapt, but it won't be overnight." I nodded, and Godric continued. "Your father has been taken to your Aunt Adele's house."
I nodded. "Thank you."
He smiled back in response. We walked back over to the bed and lied back down. Eric came in then, I having not realized he left, carrying a blood bag. They had me feed to settle me down and then we relaxed. I fell back asleep quickly into an interesting dream. Let's say it involved Eric and Godric in ways I couldn't wait to try in real life.
I woke up slowly, cuddled up in two sets of arms, and smiled happily. I felt so calm and comfortable. Soft lips kissed mine and I kissed back welcomingly. I opened my eyes and met two seafoam green ones that looked worried but happy. My head was turned by two gentle fingers under my chin to the content, crystal blue gaze with warm lips crashing into mine. After that amazing greeting, I tried to find a clock but it looks like they were all moved out of the room. I felt my eyebrows squish up a little in confusion.
"What it is little one?" my maker asked. It felt a little strange to say or think the word maker.
"Where did the clocks go?"
He chuckled before continuing carefully. "We took them out so you wouldn't be so surprised and potentially upset each time you woke up for a while."
This only made me more confused. "Why would I be?"
He gave a small laugh. "Before I tell you the time, you need to understand that when newborns are young, they sleep through the whole day. You are pulled under to sleep by the sun in the morning and will not wake up until after the sun has set and it is nearly dark. You may have gone to sleep a little early but it was about two hours until dawn."
He paused for a moment letting it sink in, and my brain connected that it was likely nearly night time.
"You also have to know that the first week, you sleep longer while your body adapts." He paused for a moment. "Sunset was about an hour and half ago. It's eight o'clock in the evening."
I gasped. I was surprised I had slept so long. I took a deep breath and accepted the fact it was a different world now that I had turned into a vampire. With that new world came a whole new set of normal, traditions, and laws.
"Okay." I took another deep breath, trying to ignore the thirst in the back of my throat.
Godric's eyebrows rose. "Okay?" He and Eric exchanged a surprised yet concerned look. "Your response is simply 'okay'?"
I nodded. "Yes. I understand that it's different for vampires. It's surprising and strange and I still need to get used to it but my answer is simply okay."
Looks of disbelief did not disappear. "How is your thirst?" Eric asked.
"Annoying, scratchy, burning, and aching; but I can manage I think."
They rolled their eyes in annoyance, which was clear on their faces before disapproval took over Godric's expression. "If you try to ignore your thirst, you will not like the result." I was surprised by his statement. "It can cause you to lose control of yourself. How you lose control could very well lead to being sent in front of the magister or end up as a prisoner of the Authority. Especially at the age you are, it is vital for you to feed when you are thirsty even in the slightest. Do you understand?"
The power coming off of my mate was overwhelming and was enough to put a bit of fear into me as I nodded. "I understand."
He nodded. "Good. Let's get you dressed and fed."
We went to the closet to get ready. He put on black dress pants, black dress shoes, and a dark blue dress shirt. Eric was donning exactly the same except he had on a dark red dress shirt. They helped me slink into a dark purple chiffon evening gown that sparkled everywhere with black high heels. They slipped on a necklace that was likely in the $10,000+ range with how many diamonds were on it. With what I knew of my mates, they were real.
Pam appeared out of nowhere in a bright pink silk gown with a slit that went to her mid-thigh with bright pink high heels. She quickly fixed my hair in an elegant wavy design; it felt weird having my hair done.
We ascended to the kitchen where they gave me two blood bags to drink. They poured each into a cup and heated it before I drank it. It made me feel a lot better and I was excited that maybe I could see my dad again… for a moment.
"You may feel better right now, but it'll be a couple of weeks before you can be around your father safely, little one." Godric's voice was quiet while he said this, but I could hear it well.
I felt my face drop a little at this before I got a few kisses from my mates.
"It'll take time; your father knows this. It'll be okay, Bella." Eric's voice was just as soft.
I could hear the people in the next room starting to talk about my former family and what they planned on doing with me and Charlie. I also heard a shriek from my ex that sent a strange pleasurable wave up my spine. I felt my lips form a slight smirk.
"Is that who I think it is screaming?" I asked quietly.
Every single voice got quiet and I was suddenly surrounded by all the members of the Authority as well except one, the little kid; I didn't remember his name.
Godric reluctantly nodded. "It is." He paused a moment and I smiled darkly. "Please ignore this, Bella. It would do you well to stay away from there; you are far too young to witness things like that."
I frowned. "Let it go. Now," came the deep and commanding voice of the leader of the Authority, Roman if I remembered right. "Understand?"
I looked to him in surprise while I saw Godric smirk. "Yes; I understand." I was nearly breathless saying this. The power radiating off him was immense and I was actually slightly scared since I didn't know anything about the man other than he controlled all vampires in the world.
He nodded. "Good."
They started to walk back into the living room, Godric and Eric tugging me along lightly, but not so light I could slip out of their grasp. Roman was in a dark grey suit with a medium blue dress shirt and red silk tie. The others were in similar attire but slightly different colors. The Middle Eastern woman was dressed in a slinky black dress that was beaded and sparkled while flowing with every step. It had a slit up to her hip nearly and a deep, plunging neckline. She had on black heels to match. Her hair was up in a bun.
The other woman was in a black pencil skirt and a cotton candy pink top with black heels. Her short hair was styled neatly in place. The lighter man with a beard was in black dress pants and a white dress shirt while the darker one had on a dark gray suit with black pin stripes with a light blue dress shirt underneath the jacket.
They all sat around the living room, Godric and Eric putting me between them. They started talking about precise dates now that I was a vampire for an incursion on the Volturi. I was going to be sent to New Orleans with the Authority in a couple of days while Godric, Eric, Ben, and a small army went to Volterra and destroyed them. My ex would be executed that night, and I was unfortunately not allowed to attend as it was seen as too much for my fragile newborn brain. I was tempted to roll my eyes but wasn't too much for the idea of possibly making a few of these Ancient and powerful vampires upset about that. As it was, Godric was about to send me off for the conversation; he was already bubbling underneath the surface.
After a while, the meeting was dispersed and we went to our room. We had an amazing but quick session of hot sex. Once we were cleaned up and I was in dark jeans, black t-shirt, dark purple jacket, and dark purple sneakers, I had to sit here and do something else. I decided to read one of the many books in here while they went to execute the jerk. I had gotten to the second chapter when there was suddenly someone grabbing me from behind, with their hand covering my mouth. I struggled and kicked and they let go for a second, my scream going loudly through the air. Two seconds later, Godric, Eric, and half of the Authority were in our bedroom, my attacker having his hand back over my mouth and a very tight grip on me.
"Let her go; now." My maker very calmly ordered the mystery person, and the Authority nodded their consent.
Strong arms threw me to the ground on the opposite side of the bed. Eric and Salome rushed over to me while Godric, Roman, and Dieter grabbed the attacker and killed them very quickly in the hallway.
"Are you okay?" Eric asked.
I was still shaking some, but managed to answer. "I think something is broken."
He nodded. "It'll heal quickly; just give it about twenty minutes at your age."
I nodded my understanding. "Who was that?"
He bit his lip. Another voice answered though. "It was one of the Volturi; his name was Afton. He has the gift of becoming invisible to others when desired," Roman explained.
"If he's here there are likely others outside waiting." Roman nodded in agreement. "I say we take the more vulnerable out of the house and to a safe place while we find them."
Roman thought for a moment. "How safe is Fangtasia?"
"Not safe enough for this. Easily broken into by a vampire," Eric answered.
He thought for a moment longer. "Who are the ones that need to leave?"
"Bella and Pamela are our concern. Ben's mate would likely be on that list if they knew," Godric answered.
"Let Ben know to get her safely away before coming back." Godric nodded and went to call them out in the hall.
Roman turned to Eric. "Make Pamela an overnight bag and Bella here needs one for the duration of her stay, likely two weeks." Eric nodded.
He pulled out a suitcase, zooming around packing my laptop and chargers for everything, my tablet and a couple of books, clothes, shoes, toiletries, a couple of pieces of important jewelry, and a few other things. He paused for a second to ask if I were okay here for a moment and they said they would keep me safe. He disappeared for a minute or two. Godric came back in and tucked my phone in my pocket.
"Do you have blood bags there?"
Roman answered, "No; we'll have to teach her to feed on someone. It'll be either Salome or myself."
Godric nodded while grimacing before turning to me. "Be careful of that. I wish I could be the one to teach you but we don't have time. I have to go to Volterra to handle this while they keep you safe. I love you, Isabella."
He kissed me hard and for a full minute before letting go. I had to ask one thing first. "Is he dead? Edward?"
Godric rose an eyebrow but nodded. "Yes."
I sighed in relief, glad I would never have to worry about that again. "Good. Now I can relax knowing he won't be out there looking for me."
He smiled at that. "I'm glad I can make you feel that way."
Eric came back in with Pam. "All ready."
Roman turned to Salome. "Do you think you can carry her and her bag flying to New Orleans?"
Salome smiled. "I'm sure of it." She strapped my bag to her back and slung her bag over her shoulder, so it was across her diagonally, that Dieter brought her, telling her he put everything back inside it. She thanked him and turned to me. "Have you ever flown before?"
"Godric and Eric have done so with me before."
"Do you have any side effects?"
"She handles it incredibly well," Eric replied.
She smiled and took me in her arms gently. She took off with Pam shortly behind us since Salome was faster. We took flight for New Orleans.

After leaving our mate in our room reading, we went to collect our prisoner who had just been painfully reassembled by Alex. It was time for him to be a problem no longer. He was escorted up by Alex and Kibwe. He was forced to kneel down before Roman started listing his legal violations, among other things. I was lucky to be the one to execute the pathetic moron. I walked towards him slowly, relishing the look of wild fear in his eyes. I grabbed his head at the base before slowly tearing it off. The rest of his body was disassembled quickly though and thrown in the fire that was burning in the living room fireplace. Kibwe and Alex kept a check on anything that would crawl out.
Isabella started feeling afraid. We suddenly heard a scream from our mate, our bodies filled with her fear and our own. We rushed to the scene, and there was a Cold One with blood red eyes and blonde hair that we recognized as one of the Volturi guards. I ordered him to let her go before he tossed her to the opposite side of the room and tried to make an escape past us. His form slightly faltered, trying to make itself invisible, but I still caught him with ease. Eric had rushed to our mate's side with Salome so I drug this pathetic moron into the hallway before dispensing of him quickly, Alex collecting the pieces to burn.
We decided to send Isabella and Pamela off to a safe house, which so happened to be the Authority's base in New Orleans. They would be absolutely safe there. Eric packed a bag for Isabella for two weeks or so and an overnight bag for Pamela before they were sent on their way. Roman assured me Salome would not drop my Isabella.
"Are you certain you have to teach her to feed from a human?" I asked the Guardian.
He nodded. "There are no blood bags inside of the Authority for a reason," he answered. With all that come through, they would send some of them into a feeding frenzy that would result in them attacking everyone. I can't have that. It's better for her to learn anyways."
"I know; I just wanted to do so myself." I was saddened that we would not share that bonding experience, but it was for the best she learned how.
Roman nodded. "I understand perfectly. I'm sorry you don't get the chance but I know you would rather take care of the threat to her safety and ours by slaughtering the Volturi."
I agreed, reluctantly. "I would rather destroy them to keep her safe, even if it means missing out on something important."
We went outside, checking the area surrounding the home and extending it to surround Shreveport. We found two other Volturi members and killed them as well; they were Chelsea (Afton's mate), and one of the other guard members that no one remembered the name of.
Arriving back home, we went into more detail on how many troops to send in, which precise guards were staying in which location, and so on. It would be a bloodbath in Italy.
Soon we were packing our bags to go our ways when Ben showed up. We explained everything to him, and he disappeared to the hotel where he had his things to grab his bag. He came back within ten minutes. We planned to stay for the day here, since it was only an hour until sunrise, before parting in our respective ways. The Volturi would be ended in the next couple of days.
