Miku: I believe you, TA2. That man is too arrogant.

TA2: Anyways... back to the story.

btw, chapter takes place at afternoon to night time.

-FOUR YEARS LATER-

A young woman stands hand-in-hand with a child by a bed of flowers. A gentle breeze lifts the girls long, teal hair and the boys soft, raven hair. The faces stare at a white cross staked in the ground at the head of the flowers...

Rei

"It's been four years..." Miku whispered as she squeezed the boy's hand. She looked down to the child. "He was a good man." A tear fell down her cheek.

"Mi-mi, pwease don't cwy..." the boy begged. "It makes me sad wen I see you cwy..." He teared up too.

She picked up the boy and hugged him. "I'm sorry, Luffy." She slightly smiled. Luffy leaned back to face her face and to wipe her tears.

A fain neigh was heard in the background. It brought Miku and Luffy back to reality and remember why they were there in the first place.

"Come on, Luff. We better head back to the stables and prepare Ms. Kagamine's clothes." She walked to the location with Luffy in her arms.

IN THE STABLES

A beautiful, twenty year-old blonde walked into the rustic looking stall house. (TA2: couldn't think of synonym for stable) She took off her riding helmet in a swift motion letting her precious locks flow down gracefully to her shoulders.

"Wow! What a great day to go riding!" She chirped. She walked toward Miku, who was holding a bowl of fruits, and Luffy, who was holding a clean pair of folded clothes.

"Ms. Rin your clothes for tonight's dinner party have been prepared." Miku bowed with Luffy following suit.

Rin smiled at Luffy and took the clothes before ruffling his hair playfully. She walked toward Miku and took an orange after thanking her.

"Ya know..." The female noble started. "I consider you an equal Miku, so you don't always fave to talk with formalities when you're with me." She smiled.

"If it weren't for this cruel, corrupt world, I wouldn't have to..." Miku replied stubbornly.

-"I don't care about the rules and you know that. I hate it as much as you do." Rin's friendly, smiling face turned serious and cold.

Miku didn't say anything. She just looked down. She knew that she was lucky to have a mistress that was friendly, gentle, kind, and hated anything that wasn't fair. She appreciated Rin, but was never able to figure out what had made her so different from the rest of the nobles.

Rin's soft face returned with a small smile. She put an arm on Miku's shoulder, making the slave girl smile back.

"Well, I'm off to the showers. See ya Luff, bye Mi-mi" Rin winked and waved before walking out to the showers.

After she left...

Neigh~

Luffy hid behind Miku.

Miku could only suspect who was about to approach the stable.

She hated him. He deserves to live among the swine...she thought.

Luffy was now shaking behind her. He knew who this man was and what he did four years ago.

Len.

The name brought disgust in Miku's mouth.

The tall, now well-toned man casually walked inside. Miku glared at him. Whenever she saw him, she would compare to what he looked like the moment of Rei's death to his present appearance. His shoulder-length hair was now chopped to a regular man cut and wasn't in a gay ponytail. His face wasn't baby-faced, but now was more defined. She could go on on how everything, except his eyes, had changed, but the main thing that had pissed her off more than anything else was that how he could live even after he killed Rei.

When he noticed her staring at him, he stiffened, but quickly regained his posture.

"How is the work coming along?" He broke the awkward silence while trying to grab a fruit from the bowl Miku was still holding.

She pulled away before he could grab a banana and began to walk out the barn with Luffy clutching her leg. She stopped for a second.

"Don't waste your time pretending to care about what wedo. I already know that you don't give a crap about us." She said with venom.

Len became furious and marched up to her. He roughly grabbed her chin; their noses two inches apart. Before He could say anything, he noticed her real emotions through her eyes.

She looks...sad...and...lost?

It confused Len. Isn't she supposed to be a b**** to him like she always was? Then why was she giving him this kind of expression. Lost in his train of thought, he felt something slimy and wet hit his face. Returning to the real world, he looked down at her, only to find that she had ran away...

She spat on him...

Although a tinge of guilt his chest.

Back at the place the slaves call home...

"We're home!" Miku chimed, putting Luffy down.

Luffy ran to his parents, being greeted by open arms. Speaking of parents, Miku went to find hers; her mother cooking some stew and her father coming to wooden table where they always ate.

Miku frowned at her father. Here he was, limping on a cane. Coughing occasionally. It had been 1 year since his health had began to fall down. The doctors had said that he had R.A. and that they were still working on the medication. Miku didn't know who had sent the doctors to her father, but she assumed that it was Rin.

She walked over to her father to help him to the table. "Papa, don't strain yourself."

Gakupo scowled at her. "I may be getting old, but I'm not helpless." However, he did thank her for her help with a smile.

"Alright old man, then start feeding yourself." Meiko teased as she came over to hand him a bowl of stew. She turned to Miku to give her a kiss her forehead. "Come and sit down, you bowl is almost ready."

"Okay" the girl smiled.

30 minutes later.

After an enjoyable meal with her family and loads of talking and fun, she finally agreed that it was time to take a bath from all the day's work.

She gathered her clothes, towel, and soaps and walked toward a secret pond that was hidden under a weeping willow and secluded by tall plants and grasses; she and Rei had found it when they were little.

She sat in the pond and relaxed.

Another day of hard work she thought. She enjoyed the peace and quiet until she heard a russle.

She flinched at the noise, but continued to relax. it must have been an animal.

Russle...russlerussle.

Miku stood up grabbing her towel. "Who's there?" She asked cautiously.

Silence...

Maybe it was just an anim-

*Ahem* "Uhhh, ga-good evening..." a male's voice called. "I wasn't peeping, HONEST! I was just taking a stroll and trying to discover new parts in this area..."

The man stepped out; his face totally flushed.

"Master Rinto?" Miku asked for confirmation.

"H-hello." Rinto didn't make eye contact. Miku properly wrapped her towel around herself.

Miku didn't know what to think of this guy. He was ok. He didn't yell and abuse slaves like his father and brother, but he wasn't so talkative and friendly to slaves like Rin either. He rarely even spoke to Miku.

"Can I help you?" She asked with respect. She didn't have anything against him, so she might as well be polite.

Finally meeting her gaze, he rapidly turned his head back to the direction it was in with a face the shade of a tomato. "No! its nothing..."

They stood there awkwardly for a while.

*Ahem* Rinto started, again. "So...how is your father doing?"

TA2: OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH CLIFFHANGER!

Rinto: I hate you

TA2: well, ya can't, cuz your in my story and ya signed a contract.

Rinto: Dang nabbit!

Miku: I don't understand how i can be so calm in that type of situation...

TA2: *evil grin* well, get used to it...

Miku:?!
