New update:

Thank you everyone for all the favs, reviews and follows...You guys are amazing. :) I love reading all your reviews and and so humbled by all the love and I really appreciate all the love. I'm so happy to know that I that I created an alternate world for you, about Jax and Tara. Even though the show has ended and we didn't get our happy ending. At least we can write and read about their happy ending through fanfiction.

I have decided that this story shouldn't end yet - you all were right, there truly is so many things I can explore with this fan fiction and 13 chapters isn't long enough. I haven't found a couple that has pulled me in like Jax and Tara and I have a fun time writing them and their relationship. So, since we don't get our happily ever after from them on the show, we can at least get it through fan fiction and I will keep these chapters coming.

Please let me know what you thought. It's like chocolate for my muse. Enjoy!

Chapter 13:"Sunrise is coming and there isn't anything you can do for me now; the devil has found me."

A hand touched Tara's shoulder and she jumped, spinning around, her fist came up swinging and Opie stopped her before she suckered punch him.

"Hey...slow down Tara, it's just me." Opie whispered. "I thought that you might want this." Opie offered, handing the cold beer to Tara.

"Thanks." Tara smiled; slightly embarrassed and backed away from him laughing nervously. "I'm so sorry, Opie. Just a little jumpy. It's been along time. How are you doing? How's Donna? The kids..."

"You look good Tara, happy. Donna and the kids, we are doing good. Kids are getting big. Donna misses you. She always talks about you. You should give her a call sometime. She'd love to hear from you."

"I miss her too. I miss you all so much. " Tara sighed, taking a seat on the picnic table and taking a sip of her beer. "Can I ask you a question, Opie? Is going Nomad safe for Jax? "

Jax snarled, his eyes darkening towards his mother. "I'm done. " He snarled, pushing passed his mother and to the bar door. Jax paused then spun around, " What ever I decide to do, whether it is staying in Charming or going Nomad. It is NOT your concern. I am a grown man. My decisions are not yours and do NOT involve you. You are NOT my 'Old Lady'...You are my mother! Whatever you have done to control my life before. It's over. You have no control over what I DO or who I SEE. The shit you've done...it's unforgivable."

Jax moved closer to Gemma, his hand reached for her face, "Right now. Right now all I want to do is smash your face in. I do not want to talk to you or see you. If you follow Tara and I..." He sighed, " I can not promise that won't happen..."

Jax was angry. He was more than angry - he was furious. His mother, his own god damn mother kept him away from his soul mate. The love of his life. "When - if - I even decide to let you explain yourself. It will be on MY terms...Tara's terms.

Jax glanced at Clay, " Keep your bitch on a leash. If she even breathes Tara's way..." Jax opened the door, "I'll kill her." He whispered, loud enough for everyone including Gemma to hear.

The door slammed behind him and his gaze found Tara and Opie, sitting across the parking lot on the picnic table. They were smiling and laughing and Jax couldn't help but smile as well.

"Tara, the way Jax feels about you, going Nomad is exactly what he needs. They will watch his back; it just means Jax is going to be on the road doing a lot more runs than usual. As long as you're okay with that. Nomad would be good for Jax, for you both. He deserves to be happy. I think you do too."

Tara smiled at her friend as she pulled him in for a hug, "Thanks Op."

"Hey." Jax interrupted smiling at Tara and taking a seat beside her, he pulled her closer, placing his lips on her forehead and planting a kiss on the top of her head.

"How did it go in there, brother?" Opie asked as he passed Jax a beer and lit a cigarette.

"As well as could be expected, when you threaten your mom." Jax groaned, "Hey, listen Op, I know this is out of the blue and pretty sudden ..."

"Really, I'm okay with it. If that's what you want to do. I'll support you brother."

Jax sighed, "Thanks bro."

Hooting and hollering was heard from across the parking lot and Tara looked up, watching as the Sons' headed across the parking lot towards their bikes.

"Hey, Opie, I need to get Jax back to my house. All this excitement is really not good for Jax' recovery. He should be laying down, he's not even close to healing yet. Even though he seems to think he's bullet proof. "Tara mocked, rolling her eyes at Jax' puppy dog look." I was going to make some burgers, do you want to join?" Tara asked, slipping off the picnic table and her fingers still entwined with Jax'.

"I'd love to Tara. That sounds great, let me go tell Piney where I am going and I can meet you guys there." Opie smiled and pulled Tara into a hug and squeezed her tightly. "It's really good to see you Tara." Opie replied and glanced to Jax and smiled, "See you in a bit, brother. "

Tara reached for her phone and smiled towards Jax and Opie. "I'm going to call a cab. I'll be right back."

Tara had been relieved that no other drama happened before she left the clubhouse and back to her apartment. Gemma had not once came out to confront her or Jax and she wondered what Jax had said to Gemma to shut her up. Gemma had never backed down from a fight and when it involved Tara, Gemma would do anything to win. Tara moved towards the fridge and opened it, pulling out two beers.

"Hey you need some help in there?" Jax yelled from the living room and Tara smiled, 'Was this really happening? Were they really going to try it as a couple?'

"I'm good, be right there! " She shouted and entered the living room and took a seat beside him on the couch.

They were silent for a few moments as Jax scrolled through the guide on the TV trying to find something to watch. Tara took a sip of her beer and placed it in front of her on the coffee table and turned towards Jax, placing her hand on his knee.

"What happened back there, Jackson, with your mother?"

Jax found a TV sitcom, 'Mike and Molly' to put on, he wasn't really interested in watching anything it was more for background noise. "Gemma won't be bothering us. I - I threatened her, told her that if I find out she is bothering you, I'd hurt her." Jax responded leaving out the detail about him killing his mother If she bothered or even breathed Tara's way.

Jax's left hand covered Tara's and he moved closer to her, his right hand slipping through her long, brown hair. " I'm sorry for everything she did to you back then. What she said to you. If I would have known, I would have stopped it."

"Jackson, I know you would have. None of this is your fault." Tara interrupted, leaning in and placing her forehead against his. "Thank you for sticking up for me tonight. I - I'm sorry I punched her. I just couldn't handle her lies anymore."

"I was proud of you." Jax laughed, his phone went off and he glanced down at it and picked it up, seeing Opie's name on the screen and he clicked on it.

Hey brother, can't make it, some shit hit the fan and we gotta go deal with it. Club business. I'll text you later.

Jax glanced at Tara and then replied back, "Everything okay? Do you need some help?'

'We got it bro. Get better, I'll stop by in the morning before church.'

"Opie can't come, some kind of shit went down - club business. So it's just you and I tonight." He whispered and she smiled, reaching for his hand.

A knock at the door interrupted the couple and Tara stood up and headed towards the door and opened it.

Happy stood on the other side and Tara grinned, "Hey!"

"I hope you don't mind Tara but I wanted to talk to Jax some more before we had Church tomorrow. You mind if I come in? It shouldn't take to long.

Tara smiled and opened the door, "Of course, I was just going to go get us some burgers, would you like one?"

"That sounds good, thanks Tara."

Tara opened the door letting Happy in, she smiled at him before turning toward the kitchen. "I make some dinner" She said, glancing toward Jax and then turned back towards Happy. "Beer?"

Happy nodded and smiled moving towards Jax. " Hey brother, mind if we chat for a bit?"

Tara slipped into the kitchen and Happy took a seat beside Jax.

Tara finished the burgers and put them on a plate and she grabbed another plate with some fries on it and brought them into the living room for the boys. " just going to grab the fixings for you guys, I'll be right back."

Jax and Happy didn't even glance Tara's way, and she frowned. They seemed pretty involved in their conversation. Tara noticed that Jax seemed pissed off, almost like their conversation had been very heated. Tara gave Jax one more glance before slipping back into the kitchen and grabbing the condiments and returning to the living room.

Happy glanced up toward Tara and then the plate in front of them. Thanks for the burgers, Tara." He reached for the food and started to fix himself a burger. "Congrats on becoming a doctor, I know it's what you always wanted. "

Tara smiled towards Happy and took a seat on the couch. He had always been the quiet guy. Even though he had been part of SAMCRO, Tara didn't know him all that well. The only thing she knew about Happy were rumours – that he was the SON not to mess with. That his tattoos represented how many kills he had made. Tara hadn't really ever spoken to him, besides maybe Hi through passing.

"Thank you." Tara whispered and smiled; her gaze fell on Jax's and she took a sip of her beer. "I should go get some groceries, give you two some time to talk. There's a few things I need to get."

Jax nodded to Tara, his hand moving to hers, his fingers covered her hand. "You don't have to go babe. Whatever business Happy and I discuss; you are a part of. I don't want you to go anywhere Tara."

"Happy - I need you to vote for me. This is what I need – what I want."

"I just think you are better off in Charming Jax. The president's patch. It's supposed to be yours brother."

"Will you vote for me?" Jax asked, he stood up and pulled out his cigarettes.

"I'll back you no matter what brother." He stood, " Thanks again for the beer and burger Tara."

Tara smiled at Happy and he moved to the door. Jax nodded towards Happy before glancing back at Tara, " Be right back, babe."

Tara had filled the bath and slipped off her robe and stepped into the bathtub and lowered herself in the water. She sighed as the strawberry and vanilla aroma filled her senses.

"Is there room for two in there?"

Jax' voice echoed through the small room and Tara smiled, her eyes opening. "Are you sure you should be crawling in the bath with me when your 100% not healed yet?"

He watched her and he grinned; slipping his pants off quickly and within seconds, he was standing in between Tara's legs in the tub.

"Someone's pretty eager." She giggled and she pulled her legs to her chest; she watched as Jax carefully positioned himself into the tub.

The hot water surrounded Jax and he moaned reaching for Tara, she smiled and moved her legs over his so she could stretch out. His fingers ran up her long legs and his eyes roamed her perfect body.

Jax groaned, "God you're so beautiful babe. So soft..."

"Mmmhmm..."Tara moaned, her eyes closing to Jax's soft touches.

"Are you really okay with staying here with me. Away from your brothers, the club...Charming?"

"Whatever it was, that brought me here, it was meant to be. The motorcycle accident, me going to the hospital to where my ex girlfriend , now doctor resides." Jax smiled; his hand reached for Tara's hand and squeezed it. "This is fate Tara." Jax frowed, " being here with you now, I don't think I could walk away from you...from this second chance."

"Jax...

Before Tara could finish what she was about to say, pounding on the front door stopped her train of thought and she froze.

"Tara! Tara!"

"David?"

David Hale's voice awoken anger inside Jax and his eyes fell on Tara''s frightened look - rather nervous look - before his eyes closed. "Fucking Hale. "
