A.N Yay! School is finished! So I should have more time to update Enjoy, guys!

Angela stared at the open window on the far side of her room; she shivered from the bitterly cold breeze.

But she wouldn't close it. No way.

Because Embry might appear like she hoped.

Like she had hoped for the past four days.

She actually hadn't expected him to hold out this long.

If he was feeling the pain of separation anything like she was he should be in agony.

Why wouldn't he crack?

Why wouldn't he just come around and tell her that he understood and that everything would be okay?

She heard a creek in the side of her house, just as she always would when Embry would climb up through her window and she couldn't help but stand in anticipation.

She knew it!

He really couldn't stay away for long.

A tanned hand clutched onto her window sill and she bounded forward.

"Em-…"

As the body and face of the man came into view she realised that it wasn't Embry at all.

It isn't him.

"Expecting someone else?" He asked as he pulled himself completely through the window and stalked towards her slowly.

"Y-yes."

He sneered at her and it sent a chill up her spine.

His movements, his aura.

Everything screamed dangerous.

She had hurt Bella and now he was going to hurt her.

Her body moved for her then.

Choosing to flee.

She turned on her heel and out of her bedroom.

Bounding down the stairs in her blue and white Donald duck socks.

Angela reached the front door and almost rejoiced.

She felt like she was almost home-free.

But when she jiggled the handle violently, found that it was locked and heard heavy footsteps behind her, she lost all hope.

"Where are you going Angela?"

She turned back to him slowly.

But this time she really looked at him.

This man.

This man who was once her man.

This man who she had loved with all of her young heart.

And now they were just nothing.

Now, he was in love with Bella.

Now, he wanted to kill her for what she had done to Bella.

It made her feel sick.

So sick that the fear she was feeling turned to annoyance.

"I know what you're going to say, Paul… So you might as well save it." She spat defiantly.

He raised an eyebrow at her.

"Oh yeah, and what's that?"

Her eyes narrowed in his direction.

"That you're angry with me about what happened with Bella. About how she didn't deserve it and how I'm a bitch. And you're probably gonna threaten me as well."

He just stared at her.

"What? Surprised that I know you? We dated, Paul! I loved you! A lot."

He stared at her more before speaking,

"Look, I know you're hurt…"

She scoffed in annoyance.

"I know you're hurt." He repeated. "But you and I both know that this isn't Bella's fault. If you wanna hurt somebody, you can hurt me. Just leave Bella alone." He warned her before leaving.

Angela felt the tears well up behind her eyes as she realised that she was alone again.

She hated this.

She hated everything.

Paul didn't even scream and shout at her.

Since when could he control his anger so well?

Since when did he not blow his top uncontrollably?

Since Bella.

A little voice in the back of her head answered for her.

-BPAE-

Angela's hand rose to her face and ghosted across the place where he had slapped her.

Her eyes squeezed shut as tears threatened to fall.

It had been two days since Paul left and she still hadn't seen Embry.

He wasn't anywhere.

Not at his house.

Not at any of the stores in La Push.

Not in school.

He was nowhere.

How could he be nowhere?

Sam Uley, along with the subtle warms flicker in her heart alerted her to the face that he was alive and well.

He was just avoiding her.

And that hurt.

She didn't know what she would do if he never spoke to her again.

What if he never climbed through her window again?

What if he never tried to get close to her again?

The thought alone made her dinner rise from her stomach.

She rushed to the toilet and heaved repeatedly until her mac and cheese dinner was staring at her from the basin.

Her flat stomach ached, exhausted.

Her head collapsed into the basin.

Despite the intoxicating stench of her own vomit, she didn't bother to move.

What was the point anyway?

There was no point in trying.

No point in anything.

Angela began to relive the moment that had changed her life forever.

She remembered the look on Bella's face as she taunted her in the hallway that day.

She remembered the fire in the smaller girl's eyes.

The hurt.

The betrayal.

What had she done?

"I will see to it, that you have no power in this entire country."

A shiver went down her spine as she remembered Bella's words.

She hadn't really meant that, had she?

She couldn't have.

Or she would have done something by now… right?

And from that second on, Angela felt afraid.

Like someone was after her.

Like someone was out to get her.

The next three days were hell.

When there was a knock at the door, instead of wishing it was Embry she would jump in fear.

Every time she left the house, she wondered if she was safe.

Angela wished, for the second time in her life, that she had tasted her words before she spat them out.
