A/N: The last chapter (and the last chance to review XD )! It's about time Tifa finds out about the Man Rules, right? :D I'd suggest reading my one-shot "Secret Addiction" before reading this (if you haven't already), because this takes place a few months after that. It's not necessary to read that piece first, but it might make this last chapter all the more funny. Anyway, enjoy!

~ "If you ever refuse to let me sleep next to you again, I'll tell everyone about your guilty pleasure. Fair is fair." ~

Rule 1. Thank you for reading this. Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the couch tonight. But did you know men really don't mind that? It's like camping.

"Cloud?"

Tifa peered into the living-room, but he wasn't there either. She sighed, putting her hands on her waist. Oh, where was that man when you needed him, she wondered.

It was only then that she noticed the folded piece of paper lying on the floor. "Hmm... What's this?" she muttered to herself, as she bent forward to pick it up.

Could it possibly be another quest organized by Cloud? She highly doubted that, because that would be just too much, especially for someone like him. After folding it open, she realized that it did belong to Cloud; she'd recognize the handwriting anywhere. It felt wrong to look at it (it seemed to be some sort of letter), as if it was a breach of his privacy. But then again, if it really had been that important to begin with, it wouldn't be lying around here, where anyone could have picked it up to announce it to the whole world.

The 'letter' said,

The Man Rules

At last, a guy has taken the time to write this all down. Finally the guys' side of the story. We always hear 'The Rules' from the female side. Now here are the rules from the male side. These are our rules! Please note: these are all numbered '1' ON PURPOSE!

Rule 1. Men are NOT mind readers. Our lack of mind-reading ability is not proof of how little we care about you.

Tifa shook her head. "I never claimed otherwise, you know."

Rule 1. Birthdays, Valentine's Days, and Anniversaries are not considered by us to be opportunities to see if we can find the perfect present again!

Rule 1. Sunday = Sports. It's like the full moon or the changing of the tides. Let it be.

Rule 1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.

Rule 1. If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us.

This time, her eyebrows nearly disappeared in her hairline. "Excuse me?"

Rule 1. Let us ogle. We are going to look anyway; it's genetic.

Rule 1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine... Really.

Rule 1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss topics such as football or motor sports.

Rule 1. You can either ask us to do something, or tell us how you want it done. Not both. If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.

Rule 1. You have too many shoes.

She rolled her eyes. "Oh haha."

Sometimes she wondered why people kept throwing that little detail in her face. Okay, it might have been funny the first three times, but after that, people just needed to learn how to shut up.

Rule 1. ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows default settings. Peach, for example, is a fruit, not a color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have no idea what mauve is.

The corners of her mouth curled upwards in the beginning of a smile. However, she simply refused to let that happen. After all, the more rules she read, the angrier she became with Cloud. How could anyone make things seem so black and white? Did this really reflect the way he felt about his relationship with her?

Rule 1. Thank you for reading this. Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the couch tonight. But did you know men really don't mind that? It's like camping.

Well, this sure changed everything.

As if on cue, Cloud entered the room. "Hey, what are you-"

The blonde man stopped in mid-sentence, staring from Tifa to the piece of paper, and then back at Tifa again. Then it dawned upon him what she was holding, and his electric-blue eyes widened in pure horror. It was more than obvious that she had read it all. And yes, he had written down those Man Rules himself, way before he had proposed to her, but he had never actually wanted to give it to her. It was more meant as a joke. Cloud had thought of getting rid of it before, but then he'd started to realize how much he actually liked her weird little quirks, no matter how annoying they were sometimes. That was why he had decided to keep the list, as some sort of reminder of the old times.

"It's not what it looks like," he started calmly, but she ignored that statement.

"So you like sleeping on the couch that much, huh? Well, then I don't want to be the one spoiling your fun. You can sleep on the couch for the rest of the year!"

"What? Tifa."

Now that was just plain unfair. Did she always have to be so unreasonable to him? Well, he would have none of that. If his secret was out, then so should be hers. He left her no other choice.

With that thought in mind, Cloud grabbed her wrist so that she wouldn't be able to walk away from him. "No. If you ever refuse to let me sleep next to you again, I'll tell everyone about your guilty pleasure. Fair is fair."

Her face paled somewhat. "W-what?"

"You know, the one that involves my shirts and my aftershave?" he helped reminding her.

"I don't know what you're talking about," she said, but her voice quavered, giving her away.

He smirked, knowing that he had won this round. "What, you didn't really think that I wouldn't find out, did you? At first I thought that Denzel borrowed them, wanting to know how he would look in them or something, but I knew something was wrong when I realized that my mauve shirt disappeared more often than the black ones," he said teasingly.

She blushed at that. Cloud was right, unfortunately. He had her cornered and they both knew that…

"So, what do you say? Are you ready to share your secret addiction with the rest of the world, or-?"

"Okay, fine. But I won't like it," she said, quickly interrupting him.

Oh, how she hated it when he was right about something. That cocky, sexy smirk of his would bother her for the rest of the day. (But above all, she was just glad that she didn't have to sleep all alone).

A/N: Fun fact: there are more of these Man Rules, but I decided to write Kingdom Hearts-related one-shots for the remaining 15 rules.

Thank you so much for reading, following, favoriting and reviewing this collection! And while we're at it, it's time for some shameless advertising: Now that I'm a little more confident about writing Cloti stuff, I've decided to do a multi-chaptered AU story about the two. It's called Swept Away. If you have the time, I'd be flattered if you could check it out. :) And my poll, because that's about the length of my chapters.
