A BluePulse Valentine's Day

Summary: It's Valentine's Day and a certain speedster has plans for a friend of his. ((Blue Pulse fluff because ajfasgfhmsjlkajwhgyfnjkduygj nkslfcvu.))

A/N: So, I haven't actually seen Young Justice Invasion: War, but my awesome Justigram friends obliged and gave me spoilers so I feel as if this was a somewhat productive Saturday. *high-five* I apologize for any saddening feels you might suffer from in advance; but hey what's a fangirl to do?

"Hey Blue, hey Beetle, hey buddy old pal!" Impulse sped out in front of his friend. "Guess what today is?" Blue sighed.

"Ese, we've been over this. Everyday we have off is not another day we spend together fighting bad guys, or hanging out." He shook his head. "I'm tired; we spent the last 24 hours stopping some big alien invasion. Don't you ever sleep?"

"Well sure I sleep, but you can do that anytime." Bart grabbed Jamie's hand dragging him along. "Besides- today is February 14th. That makes it," he spun around to reveal a bouquet of flowers, "Valentines Day! Here!" He shoved the flowers into Jamie's face. "I didn't know what flowers it is you like so I just got you a bunch of different types. So," he looked down shuffling his feet, "Wanna go out?"

"It is the 14th."

"Hmm?" Artemis looked over to where Kaldur stood keeping watch over his and Black Mata's men. "Oh, yeah," she regained her posture. "It's been almost a year since…"

"It has been over a year."

Tigress walked over to him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Kaldur," she whispered so only he could hear, "I'm sorry."

"Care to explain how eating fast food in the park is an ideal date?"

Blue Beetle and Impulse were seated on a bench in a park not too far from Star Labs. They had gotten two bags of chicken whizzes- most of which Impulse had eaten- and decided to take the day off together. "Besides," Jamie asked, "Wouldn't you rather be out on a date with Cassie or something?"

"Nah- Cassie? I mean she's crash but I'd much rather spend Valentine's Day with you." Impulse went on, "We don't celebrate Valentine's Day in the future. I mean sure we remember it and all, but it's just another day for us. Everyday is just another day ever since you, uh, I mean the Reach took over." He frowned. "It's all pretty moded."

"Well," Blue Beetle stood up brining Impulse with him. "Let's go."

"Uh, where?"

"I don't know- just, um. Where would you like to go? I would suggest a movie or something but I don't think you of all people could sit through something like that." Impulse smiled.

"Yeah, that would totally not be crash."

"I know everyone believes in things differently but, maybe she isn't gone. We'll, well, you'll always remember her- no amount of time could ever change that." Artemis and Kaldur were privately conversing in his quarters. "I know that Tula meant a lot to you, that she still does," she sighed, "But don't you think she'd want you to enjoy today?" Kaldur smiled.

"You are right. Today is not a day to be sad. Thank you," he paused, "Artemis." She grinned as she pulled him in for a hug.

"Happy Valentine's Day Aqualad."

After four hours of movie marathons (all of which Bart paced around during), Jamie and he were half asleep- curled up on the couch. Impulse yawned.

"Told you I sleep. Anyway- night Blue." He waited a moment before asking. "Blue?"

"Hmm?"

"I had a great day today." Impulse snuggled in closer.

"Me too amigo. Feliz dia sa Valenti′n."
