Wow, it's been a while. I had so much time to plan out the story. This might be a rough chapter i'm trying to get back into writing in story form. And let me say I am so ready for How to Train Your Dragon 2. Okay well without further to do CHAPTER SIX. And i don't own HTTYD.

Chapter 6

Hiccup's pov

I am dead. Toothless, Dad, Gobber, Astrid, and the rest my friends and family will never see my face again in this lifetime. I will never make it home, I will never fly on Toothless above Berk as the sun sets ever again.

This what was going though my head when I realized how dark it was and the fact I felt strangely warmer then expected. That when I heard a crash of a wave hitting softly on a beach. If as if I needed anything else to make me question my situation I felt my body lift then sink back down. It felt like gravity was pulling my eye lids down making it almost impossible to open them. After what seemed like hours but was in reality a few minutes I was able to open my eyes. After, the blinding bright light filtered out I could see I was on a sandy beach with Toothless next to me.

I couldn't stand, it felt like my bones were rubber and skin was made of the heaviest stone. I guess I should be happy, Toothless and I survived our nose dive into the stormy waves, but the question I had stuck in my head was, how? My answer was closer then I thought when I heard voices coming from the blind turn on the beach covered by trees and foliage. Out of instinct I shut my eyes and pretend to still be out cold. There was three voices what sounded like two males and a female.

"I don't know I still think he looks cute, and if a Night Fury would risk his own life to keep this one human alive makes me believe he has a big heart, I find that attractive." I hear the female say. If I wasn't so tired I probably would have blushed.

"humph I bet you would find eels attractive to if one washed up on shore right now." One of the males said. He sound like he might be about the size of Snotlout.

The two started exchanging small humph and huffs. That's when I heard the third one finally say something. "You both can be really stupid sometime." They both silenced and look at their college as he continued to speak. "You didn't even realize our visitor has been awake and listening to both of you the whole time. You can open your eyes I know you're awake." He said.

I was scared now, how could he have known I was actually awake. There was no reason to keep up the ruse up. As long as I can keep them from my sleeping companion, all will be good no matter what could happened. I opened my eyes slowly to see a male, about like I thought with the same basic body build that matches that of Snotlout. He had dirty brown hair and a kind of flat face. He was standing next to a pail girl who had brunet hair her face was rosy with blush probably since I heard her saying how I was cute. Then lastly was a tall, slender man with blond hair, but what got me was his storm gray eyes they looked like smoke from a fire drilling into my soul. What really got me was the what I saw only seconds after seeing the three. I noticed movement from where they had just walked from around the corner of the beach. There walked out three dragons, these dragons although different in size and color were no doubt... Night Furies.

The one with blonde hair stepped forward. "I'm Eric." he said. Then, he pointed to the girl and introduced he as Ashley, and the last one as Mason. "Now that that's out of the way, tell us whats your name and what were you do thinking you can fly through a storm like that?"

"I'm Hiccup, and to be honest I was so far out of it I didn't even notice the storm until we were in it." After I introduced myself they seemed to become more interested, like I had said something important.

Ashley spoke up. "Are you the same Hiccup that we keep hearing about. Riding the back Night Fury into battle against a Red Death, then making peace with the dragons? I mean we kinda thought with the black Night Fury, but we weren't sure."

"Yeah I guess that's what you can say. Why do you ask?" I was curious to know why these strangers knew so much about me.

"We heard about you in our travels. That why we were on our way to Berk to find you. You see we all have something in common. We were all chosen to ride Night Furies, and that makes us special for a cause." Mason says.

"And that cause would be what exactly?" I ask.

"Hiccup, even if you got the vikings to see the truth. This is still a bad world to live in if you're a dragon. We ride for the purpose of saving dragons everywhere. It's not easy but it's our duty." Ashley says.

"Hiccup, in short we need anyone we can get, and seeing as we pulled you out of the ocean I think that could be a sign." Eric says.

Could it be a sign. I mean they did save not only my life, but Toothless' as well. That can never be repaid in my mind. I owe these riders everything now. "I'm in." I say with as much resolution as I can muster at the time.

Astrid Pov

The traders were finally starting to come into the harbor after being days late. Saying a massive storm made them take another route. I was doing the usual, asking if there were any new ships or stories surfacing about my missing rider. When nobody had any new information I went to the dragon ring.

Today was when the kids got to start training terrible terrors. Since they are small and are more pet like then any other dragon it's easy to train them. There are about six kids, ages vary from 5 to 7, all of them are so anxious to learn everything they can about all the dragons, but one dragon is the most popular and that is the mysterious Night Fury.

When I arrive with Stormfly, I see the twins standing by the crate with the Terrible Terrors. All the kids are whispering and antsy to get to today's lesson. I hop off Stormfly and begin the lesson. "Okay class today we start training our first dragon. Now who can tell me what's the first step to gain a dragon's trust?" As I asked six hands shot straight up.

I picked the first person who I saw, which happened to be Austin. "You show you're not a threat, then put your hand out and wait for them to press their snout to your hand showing you they trust you." He says.

"Correct, trust is everything. You are making a bond that could mean life or death one day. It is also key to make sure you stay calm and relaxed, dragons can feel anxiety and will become hard to control." I say while walking to the crate holding the Terrors. "Now the fun begins!"

After a few hours all the small Terrors had new homes and friends. It was actually kinda cute watching all the kids run around with there new friends. They did some very basic training and will continue to bring them to training until we think it's time to step them up to the next grade. The next class will be even better when all the kids have new names for the dragons.

After flying home I decided to walk around the village and hear the new buzz. Everyone was talking about something that happened at the dock today when I was at dragon training. When I was walking I ran into Fishlegs who looked almost distant, I knew that look all to well. It was the same face I saw every time I looked at my own reflection after Hiccup left. I felt my stomach drop when I thought back to those times. It couldn't be that bad I mean it is Fishlegs he tends to over react to everything. When I walked up to him he turned almost pale. "Hey Legs, is something wrong? You look like something is eating at you."

"Astrid, I really cant say, but I think you need to go talk to Stoick. He is in the Great Hall talking to the latest trader." He said, then continued to walk on.

It would be an understatement if I said ran to Great Hall. I never even knew I could possibly move that fast. When I reached the massive doors I didn't care if my lungs were on fire, I was on a mission. When I walked in I could see Stoick talking to someone she actually knew. Wilson had almost the same expression I saw on Fishlegs and is being shared with the our chief.

Wilson was the first to speak and end the silence. "Astrid, it's so nice to see you again."

"It's nice to see you to Wilson, but you weren't expected to be back for at least a month. What made you come back?" I ask him wanting to cut to the chase.

After looking at Stoick and him nodding he spoke. "Well Astrid with you flying your Nadder I bet you have had some bumpy rides before. Well when you are farther south we have some nasty storms brew in a matter of minutes. This is why a lot of ships were late coming in. There was a big storm that we got on the on the edge of. While we on the edge we found something floating..." He looked over to the table they were standing next to. My eyes followed his gaze. I felt my world collapse when I saw what it was. Hiccup's saddle bag with the Berk crest on it. "This could have just fallen off but when I saw the construction of that saddle there didn't seem like a way to get this bag off. My theory is that he and Toothless crashed, and if that happened... I... I don't think he or Toothless could have possibly survived."

I couldn't feel anything only numbness. I didn't know how much time had passed but when I looked around, some how I had made it to the cove. My eyes sting and my body hurt I don't know what to do. What can I do, he's gone really gone. Gone as gone can be and all we have is a stupid bag. I can't do it, I can't handle what my actions have caused. The one I love is dead because of me.

I don't know when they found me, but the other riders and the chief showed up and took me to my home and got me into my bed. I guess Ruffnut stayed but I didn't even notice I was focused in my thoughts. There is nothing I want to do but lay here for the rest of my life. He is gone. He is gone. He is gone...

Getting interesting. Like i always say i love reviews and tell me what you all think. some of you can even see the ideas you gave me in the story. You are all awesome! I will be writing more now so i will see you all soon!
