Wow! Hi long time no talk? It's been about three years now or so? That's actually pretty crazy in perspective.

I'm just writing to inform all of you I am okay, I decided to check out my account for some laughs and saw some worried messages. People thought I fell off the face of the earth!

The truth is, when I first started writing this story, I was sixteen at the time. My writing clearly shows that through the maturity of the character.

And I use 'maturity' very thinly. Emma was a huge wild-card huh? Super crazy and cried a ton. I wanted to hit her as I read back the story, but of course every writer grows with experience and I certainly did. I hope; I mean they say the first step to improvement is coming to terms with all the flaws and accepting them.

As for book wise, some of you asked about it, and I did get published, it was a long process, but a very happy one. :-) Please don't use this work as an example of that work however. This story "Generic" I had in mind was good, but the execution could have used some heavy work. Reading back some lines too, I believe my beta at the time changed things up comparing it to original drafts and my character seemed to be a bit more... eh.
I digress however; my writing was still super weak. (If I might add vulgarly, it was shit. How did you all surviveeee? Jeeeeeeez. Yal are troopers!)
My love for Death Note will never die, and I am currently writing a story right now that will be uploaded to another account that is L X OC related. I won't say my username, but if you spot me you would make a great detective. ;) It's better paced, the character is sooooo much more enjoyable and overall... I took all the mistakes I discovered in this and perfected them throughout the 3 years of hiatus.

I guess I will give some closure to this messy story while I'm at it, hmm?

Emma was intentionally made irrational for awhile, she was ideally supposed to grow with every chapter but me being sixteen, what did I know about growing? (*Laughs internally*) L would find qualities he liked about her, and of course, qualities he disliked but that went both ways between the two. Their relationship would be dynamic and grow as they went through events (good and bad) together as one team. Discovering how to grow the good and diminish the negative factors.

Aiko is a tricky bugger. He seemed like a good guy with a bad dimension that itched to get out, but in reality he was always a big liar. He was setting her up for failure out of his own amusement. He was never a player like Ryuk, just watching on the sidelines for his own curiosity- no. Aiko was in it to watch the life get sucked out of someone. There was going to be this huge showdown in the end in regards to him and the other gods of death, but it never progressed in that direction. In truth, Aiko did this with multiple 'fans'. He was a bad guy, and a even worse shinigami.

Light & Misa would be apprehended in this ending, L and Emma would live but part ways. L would take on his own cases and Emma would grow up. Life resumed as it always had been for the two- except Emma would be forever a part of this world instead.

However; there is some happy closure.

A couple years down the road, Emma would bump into a mysterious raven haired man again at a small café. They would talk and rekindle about the craziness that occurred. L would be stoic as before, but this time he would truly be genuine in his words and actions. His aged humbled him, not a lot... but just a bit.

And yes, a relationship would develop between the two happily. No crying, no bickering (except when he wanted to get under her skin- his way of saying he cares) and of course, while not great at showing physical affection...

He did grow to hold a special place for her eskimo kisses. :-)

Watari would sadly pass, Mello and Near would still be at the Whammy's House learning and trying to surpass one another, as for the others... everything is pretty close to the original minus a few who lived on to tell the tale of when Kira was societies biggest threat and morbid asset to others.

Thanks for reading and putting up with my beginner tale! I still and forever will appreciate all of you for giving me so much positivity over something that wasn't great at all. That kind of support is something everyone needs, it makes one improve themselves even more.

Forever grateful and best wishes to you all,
- Pixel :-)

End.
