" um...ok hi. It's Lexi. I know I said I would never phone you but...moms dead. Not that you care but I figure you needed to know." I flipped the phone shut and stared at the field of wheat we were parked in front of. Sam was in the bush after half a mile of complaints for me to stop. There was another 2 hour drive until the next town. He would tell him there.

"Hey Sammy I need you to track down a number."

Sam looked up from the book he was reading; honestly I don't know how he finds the time or the interest.

"Number? What for?"

"Some girl phoned and left a message on one of dads phones last week. I checked them this morning and listened to it."

Sam just stared at me. "What's so special about this girl?"

I sighed and played the message for him. He nodded and got out his computer, proceeding to furiously type god knows what into the machine.

After a few minutes he spoke up. "Yes! Here we go: Lexi Walters, 28, from Richmond Virginia."

"How the hell did you find that so fast?!"

Sam smirked. "It's a Talent." I glared at him before writing the address down and grabbing my coat.

"Right. This town is only an hour out. Lets to see who Lexi Walters is."

We arrived in town at about 2:30 and pulled into a small cafe. Sam went in to get us coffee and I waited in the car. I kept an eye out for the girl in case she walked by but nothing happened. Sam came out of the cafe with two coffees and a grin plastered on his face. As he clambered into the car he announced he knew where she lived. I guessed he had probably told the cashier we were long lost family or something. Either way, we had the address we needed. When we finally found her two story townhouse we prepped ourselves with some guns, salt and holy water. You know, just to be safe. Sam led the way up to the door and knocked. After about a minute we heard what sounded like someone rushing to the door and were greeted by a muffled voice on the other side.

"Who is it?" A girl called.

I stepped up and answered. "Lexi Walters?"

"Who's asking?"

"You called John Winchester last week and left a message" there was a pause before the sound of bolts and locks being unlocked and then the door swung open. Standing there was a girl in her 20's with long auburn hair in a braid that fell over her shoulder with chocolate brown eyes and a slim figure.

"Well you're not John so who are you?"

This time Sam spoke up. "We're friends of John." She huffed in response.

"So he finds out my mother is dead and he sends you two to come see me? You've got to be kidding me….Clearly he's more of an ass then I remembered." She probably saw our faces when she said that because the anger melted away. "What's wrong? What aren't you telling me?" She asked taking a step forward. She didn't know. I found that I couldn't speak. I didn't know who she was or how she knew my father but Sam answered anyways.

"Um Lexi...he's dead."

"...What?"

"He died 6 years ago." Sam said in his best FBI 'I'm so sorry' voice.

She covered her mouth with her hand and started to tear up. I was extremely annoyed. Why did she seem so sad he was dead? i mean she had just called him and ass. I still didn't know how she knew him, so I asked, not caring if she was still In shock.

"How do you know him anyways? Cause I've never heard of you." Sam shot me a glare but I ignored It. What came out of her mouth next was the last thing I ever expected to.

"He's my father."
