AN: sorry for the lateness of updates. The last update i did for this story was three days before i found out i was pregnant. After finding out i got extremely busy between trying to get as many classes done as possible for college (working on my masters. Two more classes left), getting everything ready for the person who would be doing my job while on maternity leave (started when I was 6 months pregnant because my job involves flying everywhere around the world and my bosses didn't like the idea of a pregnant me flying to a different place every couple days and not being able to eat the proper food and have my doctors office less than 20 minutes away, so they gave maternity leave at 6 months and 2 months after), and then my husband was called to a classified mission which I still don't know about and he almost missed the birth of our son. Now I'm still on maternity leave for one more month and hopefully during nap times I'll be able to post chapters quicker.

WAYLF Chapter 6
Tony POV
"So tell me Sid, why did you kidnap the son, grandson, and nephew of 4 NCIS agents, nephew of the top forensic scientist in the USA, and the grandson of the NCIS director?" My dad tells Sid
"Not going to talk to you. I want my lawyer." Sid says
"Ha your a funny guy. Did you know that?" I say
"You blew your chances of that right when you kidnap my grandson and his son" dad says "tony I wonder how his kid would feel when DCF comes in and put him in foster care because his dad is in a max prison for life?"
"Probably wouldn't be to thrilled" I say
"Don't you dare hurt my son!" Sid says
"And to think you kidnapped my grandson with intention of hurting him" dad says
"Nobody was meant to get hurt" Sid says quietly
"Tell that to my eleven year old son who's sitting in a hospital bed with a bullet hole in his back. Try and explain to him that he can't go outside and play sports with his friends and he has to miss his state championship football game. Huh. You wanted no one to get hurt. Then explains to me why my son was hurt!" I yell at Sid. That actually felt pretty good to get off my chest.
"I'm sorry" Sid says
"Tony go outside in the hallway and call mom and check on TJ" dad tells me. Oh no why is dad giving me the icy stare?
*15 min later*
"Want to tell me what that outburst was about?" Dad asks me with his "you better not lie to me" look
"Everything just starting to catch up to me." I say
SMACK
"Ow dad why'd you head slap me?"
"For not following what I told you. I told you the only way I would let you in the same room with him, that you were not to loose your cool."
"Oh. Sorry"
"Don't apologize sign of weakness"
"except with family though dad. Did Sid tell you why he kidnaped TJ?"
" yes he did. He kidnapped him for the sole reason of wanting his brother case to be looked at again."
"Oh you mean PFC Zachary Allen? Where we found him with the murder weapon, his prints on the victim, he had no alibi, and he confessed?"
"Yes, guessing he just misses his older brother"
"Well now that he's going to jail can we go see TJ now? The doc said if he does well in physical therapy today he can go home tomorrow."
"Then what are we waiting for Tony?"
*At the hospital*
TJ POV
"Grandma. Why do I have to eat all this disgusting hospital food, sleep in this very uncomfortable bed, and have to take all kinds of yucky medicine."
"Well Anthony Dominic" grandma starts "do you want to get better so you can go to Ohio State"
"Go Buckeyes" I say interrupting her
"And play basketball like your father? Or go into the marines like grandpa?" She asks me ignoring the fact that I interrupted her
"Yes mam" I salute to her
"Then you need to stay here at the hospital until you get better so you can have those opportunities. Along with keeping your grades up understand?"
"Yes mam" I reply. Note to self don't let grandma see my grade in English for this quarter. If she found out I haven't done any of my English homework my butt would be toast.
"Now do you want to play a video game or hear a story about when your dad was younger?"
"Story about dad."
"Okay now when your"
"Wait grandma I have a question to ask you first."
"Okay what is your question"
"Did dad really sneak out of the house?"
"Yes he did."
"Man was he not very smart. Sneaking out of the house of two ncis agents, one of which was a marine sniper."
"Your right, but after he was punished he was forgiven and he learned that sneaking out is not okay"
"What kind of story are you going to tell me?"
"I'll give you two choices. Where your dad was failing math or the time he got suspended from school?"
"Dad got suspended from school!"
"I'm guessing you want to hear that story?"
"Yes please"
"Mom please not a story about me getting in trouble. I've already told him stories and so has dad" my dad says while coming into my hospital room.
"Tony it's so nice of you and your father to join us. Why don't you two sit down and enjoy this trip down memory lane."
As grandma begins the story, I hear my dad grunt.
FLASHBACK
Jenny POV
Ring Ring Ring
Why is Tony's school calling me?
"Hello" I answer
"Hello may I speak with Mrs. Gibbs. This is Miss Mac the secretary at Washington Middle"
"Hi I'm Jenny Gibbs what can I help you with today Miss Mac?"
"I'm calling to inform you that you son Anthony Gibbs was in a fight today and that you need to come and talk to the principle with your husband if possible."
"Okay we will be there as soon as we can. Have a great day"
As I hang up the phone I tell my husband "Gibbs office"
After we are in the elevator, Gibbs turns the emergency button on.
"What's up Jen" gibbs asks me
"Your son got into a fight today and we are being called to go collect him"
"That boy is in for a trip into our office"
"When are we going to go? I know that we are just going over cold cases, but we can't leave Burley here by himself. What if we get a case?"
"Then we meet Burley at the scene and we make Tony sit in the car. Make it kinda like a timeout. Lets go"
*Washington Middle School*
Gibbs POV
"Hi my name is Special agent Gibbs and this is my partner/wife special agent Shepard. We are because we were called about our son Tony Gibbs" I tell the lady at the desk
"Yes sir, the principle and your son are in her office waiting" the lady replied
"Good afternoon Principle Perry. What seems to be the problem?" I ask
"Your son got into a fight with another boy and it was harmless just a couple shoves until your son pulled out a knife and said 'I'm not afraid to use this'. Now at this school we take any type of weapon and any threat seriously. While no one was hurt and a teacher was already watching to make sure this didn't escalate, we still need to suspend your son. Even though he isn't a bad kid, but school rules are school rules."
"My wife and I understand completely why you are doing this, and we understand why. As special agents, we have made similar decisions when it comes to people breaking the law. And I can assure you" I said looking at my son "this will never happen again"
"Unless you or your wife have anything to say, you can take your son home."
"Thank you Principle Perry" my wife and I say and shake her hand
"Let's go Anthony grab your gear" I tell my son
Once we are in the car
"Dad let me" tony starts
"No. Sit back there and think about what could have happened if your principle decided to call the police on you. Let me tell you something you better be thanking your lucky stars your mother and I weren't called into the police station for this little stunt of yours. I want you to think about what you did and why you brought a knife to school. Clear?"
"Yes sir"
"Good now your mom and I have to go back to work. So when we get to ncis you are to sit by my desk and do school work"
"Yes sir"
*6 hours later*
"Good night burley see you on Monday" I tell him after looking at my watch seeing that it's 18:00.
"Night boss" Burley replies
"You ready to go Jenny?" I ask my wife
"Whenever you are Jethro" she replies
"Let's go. Tony grab your gear." I say
"Yes dad. On your six" my son replies.
Tony POV
Why oh why did I pull my knife out. Not only is it against the school rules, its also against my parents rules. I was given the knife for my birthday and one of the rules was that 1) not to play around with it, 2) do not threaten people with it, and 3) never ever bring it to school with me. Well, I broke all three rules although my parents might be proud of me for the reason why I was fighting.
"Anthony" my mom starts to talk to me, pulling me out of thoughts "go put your backpack in your room and why don't you change into something more comfortable than your uniform. When your done come down into the dinning room. Afterwards your father and I want to talk to you."
"Yes mam"
"While your up their Anthony gather up your computer, iPod, phone, and movies, and bring them downstairs with you" my dad tells me
"Yes sir" I say sadly. That means that I may not only me getting the worst spanking ever, ill also be grounded. That's just great! Not only will I have a sore butt, ill also have a grounded one.
"Tony dinner is ready" my mom yells up the stairs
"Coming mom" I reply grabbing all the stuff dad wanted
*after dinner*
"Thank you for dinner mom. That was the best Mac n cheese with hotdog ever. Can I have the leftovers tomorrow?" I ask
"Yes you can tony" mom replies
"YES!" I say enthusiastically until I hear my dad say
"Anthony go sit on the coach in the office please while your mom and I clean up dinner." Dad says
"Yes sir" I reply sadly knowing that the repercussions from my actions are school were coming quickly
Gibbs POV
"Jen I really don't know what was going through his head. I mean seriously you would think that after the huge lecture from both of us about that knife we have him for his birthday would make sure he didn't do anything like this."
"Jethro, he's your son, and from the story's your dad tells me, I know he really is your son. You did the same thing when you were the exact same age as Tony. And, correct me if I'm wrong, you were fighting because you were protecting your family. You know Tony, if any one does or says anything about his family you better run. Talk to Tony, Jethro. Hear him out. I know that you will do what needs to be done. I also know that our fourteen year old son is upstairs waiting for you so you better go up there."
"Thanks Jen. I love you"
"I love you to Jethro"
END FLASHBACK
Gibbs POV
"After I went upstairs I talked to your dad and found out that someone said some things about your grandma and I. Once I found that out I talked to your dad about better ways he could of handled it. Then I took the wooden spoon out of my pocket and spanked your father. Afterwards we went downstairs and watched the "star wars" saga.
"Dad why didn't you just listen to grandpa and grandma when they told you the rules?" TJ asks
"Well son, you have to remember that my bio dad was very mean to me. When grandpa and grandma adopted me I became very happy. I was mad at a kid because he said things that weren't true so in my mind at the time I thought what I did was okay." Tony tells TJ
"Only it wasn't" TJ says
"No it wasn't. Which your grandpa made sure I knew. And dad just for the record, even though you have me 10 swats, they hurt. That spoons awful." Tony tells me
"That's the point son. And you know that I only did that because I love you enough to discipline you" I tell tony
"I know dad. I love you to."
"Now TJ be good for your dad while you grandpa and I are gone. We love you very much and we will have a huge party when you come home. What would you like to eat at the party?" Jen asks
"Can grandpa make steak and can you make your homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, and also your devils chocolate cake? Please" TJ asks
"Yes we will TJ. Just for you. Now we have to go or we will be late getting Kate from cross country practice. Love you both and behave." Jen says giving him a kiss on the head.
"Bye TJ. Love ya bud" I tell him while I ruffled his hair.
Kate POV
Where are grandpa and grandma? Seriously they aren't answering their phones and they are late. They are breaking 2 rules. Grandpas rule number 3 never be unreachable and my rule number 1 never be late. Boy I'm going to go into full lecture mode. Just like momma.
"I hope you enjoy the ride Caitlyn" someone says behind me. Ow what was that. Did someone just pinch me?
"Your family of agents will never find you" someone else said
Then everything was pitch black.
