Oh my gosh… wow… I haven't updated this baby since before school started and now school is coming to an end. Hehe.

I'M SO SORRY.

What can I say? I had huge writer's block.

All on my stories, I've been writer's block. Not fun.

Also I've been busy too :P

To make you all feel better, I've been writing this since like three days before New Years. Let you know I didn't forget about this story. I just couldn't think.

Okay, so why not go on with the story?

I do not own Danny Phantom.

Shadows in the Dark

Chapter 10

"W-what?" I stuttered out with confusion. Danny… being more evil than Dark Dan? I didn't want to believe it. It couldn't be true. This had to be a lie somehow. But it was. Danny was telling the truth when he said he was going to turn evil. He really felt it. … And I didn't believe him.

"Is there a way to change him back?" Tucker asked. I looked at Frostbite with hopeful eyes, but inside I knew there was no possible way, right?

"Maybe there is a way…" Frostbite answered, his voice trailing off in thought. My face lit up with happiness. So there was a way for Danny to be his normal self again? My lips curved into a smile.

"Well, what is it!?" everyone shouted, me the loudest.

"You can try to talk him out of it," he said. "Try to communicate with him, telling him what he's doing is wrong and that he's not himself. Make him remember who he is."

The Fentons, Tucker, and I went silent for a moment. It was then we all nodded (weird how we all did it at once) and thanked the ally. Frostbite nodded his head, as in "your welcome".

"Where can we find him?" Mrs. Fenton blurted out questionably.

"Clockwork will help you, Great One's family. As we know, he does know everything."

"Thanks, Frostbite, for everything," I said to him. He smiled.

"Anytime. Now go, before its too late," he said. With that we climbed in the Spectra Speeder and we flew off towards Clockwork's tower.

As I drove, I saw from the corner of my eye Tucker staring at me. I glanced at his way, giving him a quick questionable look before looking at the Ghost Zone again. I sighed.

"What?" I asked.

"Are you okay?"

"Wonderful."

"You don't seem that way…"

"That's why it's called sarcasm, Tuck."

"But really," he shifted in his seat to face me. "You really don't. I know it's a bad time, Danny is evil, but have we came across this road before? When Danny was controlled by Freakshow?"

"Yes, but this is bigger. He's not being controlled, he's not his future self, it's just him. It's like someone put a curse on him…"

"Right. Then this is just another adventure. We'll get through this, Sam. We always do."

I looked and smiled at him. Even though he could be an idiot at some times, he really was a good friend. My best friend. He was like a brother to me. He always comforted me at my darkest times. Same for Danny. They both did, and I love them for that.

Tucker got up, saying he was going to the bathroom (yes, there's a bathroom in here. The Fentons were smart to do that) and as he left, Jazz sat down at his seat. She gave me a small smile.

"Hi," she greeted.

"Hi."

"So… I've been wondering… Are you okay?" she asked. I gave her a quick glare before paying my attention back on the Ghost Zone. "Right, standard question. Look, I heard you and Tucker talking and I just want to add something… You're not alone. Danny is my baby brother. Even though we fight, I still love him and every time he goes and fights a ghost I worry, just like you do. I never imagined that one day my little brother would be a superhero. I mean, he was always so clumsy and shy! I don't think he could even hit a guy's shoulder without falling while doing so and saying 'sorry' and running away!" I laughed. That sounded like my Danny. Well, before he gained ghost powers.

"Yeah. I never imagined either," I said.

"Now I can't imagine him being evil. Danny? Evil? I thought pigs would start flying by then."

"This happened before, you know," I said as I made a quick glance at her. "When he was controlled by Freakshow." Tucker's words floated back to me.

"Yeah, he told me about that. Or I forced him to tell me because I was determined to know every fight he had without me so I would know if he ever been in a serious fight before."

"Well, honestly, they're all serious. Every ghost he fights, besides the Box Ghost-" Jazz giggled. "-Is serious. I mean, he comes to my window at three AM with huge battle sca-" I cut my myself off as I realized what I was saying. No one knew that. Danny didn't want anyone else to worry. He agreed for me to clean his wounds because I insisted. He accidentally woke me up when he was trying to fix himself. He didn't go to his house that night because he was severely injured and my house was close to where he was. He only wanted it to be a one time thing, but I didn't want him to do that while he was hurt. It could hurt him more.

"He does WHAT?" Jazz said, voice rising at the end and stood up on her feet. Tucker came out of the bathroom and Mr. and Mrs. Fenton looked at us. I blushed and winced. "Why doesn't he tell us!? Why doesn't he go to me!? No offense, but I can help him! I'm his sister!"

"I know, I know. Jazz, he just doesn't want to worry anyone else, okay? He came over one night, cuts and bruises everywhere and accidentally woke me up as he tried healing himself. I let him promise me that whenever he was hurt, he would come over to my place, no matter what."

"How long has this lasted!?"

"A year. Almost two."

Jazz sighed. She sat back down and relaxed. Taking it as she understood, I sighed. Just then I heard Tucker's footsteps and saw from the corner of my eye tap Jazz's shoulder.

"Uh, hey. You're in my seat," he said. I quietly laughed to myself.

"You snooze you lose, techno geek," she replied as she stuck her tongue out. I laughed.

"What are you laughing about, goth girl?" Tucker asked in a playful voice.

"Shh, I'm driving. Go sit down before I kick you out."

"But she-"

"Gooo," I cut him off playfully. He pouted and sat where Jazz sat before. I smiled. Just another adventure. Just another adventure.

We reached clock tower where Clockwork lived and walked inside. When we walked in there, our mouths were hung open in shock. The place was a disaster. Mirrors were cracked, the walls had gigantic holes in them, his time bubbles weren't functioning, and the medallions were spread on the floor. We looked at each other before we ran to go see Clockwork.

"Clockwork!" we yelled. Just as we ran into the main room where Clockwork watches everyone, there he was beaten on the floor. We ran to him and kneeled before him.

"Clockwork, Clockwork, what happened?" I asked. He coughed and groaned.

"Dark… Dark Dan… escaped… part… of… the plan…"

"What plan!? What plan!?" I practically screamed.

"To… Evil… Danny…" he moaned out before he passed out. My eyes widened in shock as I stood up.

"What?" Tucker asked. I turned around and faced them.

"I know who made Danny evil."
