Chapter 4

"You okay?" Sam asked John once Bobby left them in the younger males room.

John nodded a bit, shaking out his hands. "Was... really scared there for a while."

Sam gently tucked John into his side. "She'll be okay now, I could feel the power Cas put into that healing. I doubt she has one cell or bit of DNA that isn't in perfect health."

John laughed a bit. "And we all watched it... I feel dirty."

"We saw Mom having Soul sex." Sam chuckled.

"GAH! Brain Bleach! Now!" John yelled.

Sam laughed. "Better than walking in on your own Dad and a hooker."

"Do I even want to know?" John asked.''

"I was twelve...couldn't look at Dad for a month without going red."

"I bet..." John replied. "Brain Bleach needs to be invented."

"Yep. Soooo...how would you like to go on a trip with the three of us for a week or two?"

"Where?" John asked.

"Florida. Sand, sun and sea. Plus all those people there for Spring Break that we can blend in amongst."

"And walk in on you three having sex all the time." John groused.

Sam laughed and ruffled his hair. "You know there'd be no complaints if you joined in." He teased. John just looked horrified... and he then ran to his room. "We'll get you your own room!"

"NO!" John yelled.

Sam shrugged and went looking for Dean and Caleb. Caleb was in the tub relaxing. Sam slipped into the water with a sigh and closed his eyes. "What's wrong?" Caleb asked.

"Nothing at the moment." He answered, reaching over to pull Caleb closer. "Asked John if he wanted to come away with us for a break, he didn't like the idea of walking in on the three of us."

"He never does." Caleb mumbled, nuzzling against Sam. "Dean feeling better?"

Sam nodded. "He's napping." He nuzzled back at Caleb.

"Good." Caleb cuddled close. "Dean and I almost look like twins now."

"Yep, which explains the look on that ladies face last week when you kissed him." Sam grinned cheekily.

Caleb did his best to look innocent. "It was kiss him or watch the place become an orgy."

"Maybe she would have preferred the orgy."

Caleb chuckled. "You're bad." He nuzzled into Sam's neck. "What did you do to the doctor?"

Sam pulled him closer, hands running over his ribs, remembering how skinny Caleb had been when they had gotten him free of that bastard. "You really want to know?" Caleb nodded as he squirmed. "Called a pack of hell hounds, torture, the usual. He remembered you, wasn't at all remorseful for what he'd done. Unfortunately Cas lost his temper and sort of destroyed his soul so he won't spend eternity in hell suffering for what he did to you."

Caleb snickered. "Leave it to Cas to react more violently than the king of hell."

"Well it did technically end his suffering and pain." Sam pointed out.

"Meh." Caleb dismissed and clung to Sam.

"You okay with that?" Sam asked quietly, he'd never lost it on someone like that before after all.

"Wanted to take my pound of flesh."

"Sorry."

"No you're not."

Sam shrugged and kissed him. "The things he said...never wanted you to be near him again."

"What he say?" Caleb asked as he nipped back.

"Nasty stuff, just forget about it." Caleb sighed and rested his chin on Sam's shoulder. Sam just held him close.

"You gonna be okay when Sarah dies?"

Sam tensed at that. "Still hoping Cas can talk her round."

"This is Sarah Connor."

"Amazing what even the most stubborn person will do when in love." Sam shrugged.

Caleb nodded and sighed. "Bubbles?" Sam grinned and the bottle floated over to pour into the water and Sam hit the button to start the jets, mixing the water. Caleb purred softly. "Thanks."

"Welcome." Sam murmured. Caleb relaxed against Sam. Letting him take care of him, as always. Sam gently washed Caleb, enjoying the time together.

Castiel looked up and then gently settled Sarah onto the pillows before vanishing to Heaven. He was prepared to face any punishment for his actions. Ariel perched on a tree watching as Zachariah and Raphael reamed Castiel out. Castiel stood silently as they ranted. Sarah would live, that was what mattered. He froze though as Raphael began listing his punishment. "You will never see her again, even if her soul comes to Heaven upon death." No! They couldn't do that. Eternity with no Sarah at all? Ariel frowned and looked around, trying to figure out where Michael was.

"The mortal's minds shall be wiped of all knowledge of you." Zachariah added and waved several angels forward to take Castiel away for re-education and Castiel struggled against them, mentally crying out to Sam for help. He saw an angel leave to wipe memories of him. No! She couldn't forget.

Ariel moved, getting between them. "Sarah Connor is too involved with Caleb... Castiel's charge... she cannot have her memory wiped totally."

"This does not concern you. Uriel go." He nodded and left, entering Sarah's bedroom and placing a hand on her head.

"I am just being logical!" Ariel argued.

"Castiel is banned from earth until the woman is dead so it will not matter."

"He is bound to the Infiltrator Caleb." Ariel replied. "Michael has even decreed that he is not to leave the boy without watch for more than an earth day."

"He can watch from here and another sent to intervene if necessary. That is his punishment."

"Sarah?" Sam called, knocking on her door.

Sarah opened the door, she was dressed and putting her hair up in a tail. "Yeah Sam?"

"I wanted to ask Cas something, he here?"

Sarah frowned at Sam. "Cas?"

"Castiel? The angel you basically had soul sex with a few hours ago when he healed your cancer? You feeling okay?"

"Who?"

Sam was more than a little alarmed now. "Sarah what happened before your nap just now?"

"I took a bath."

"So you don't remember having your cancer cured?"

"I never had Cancer."

"This morning you were told you had a year, maybe two to live. So you agreed to Cas healing you. Sarah, someone's altered your memories." Sarah raised an eyebrow at Sam. Sam reached for Dean through their bond and the incubus soon bounded upstairs. "Dean stay with Mom, you feel anyone like Cas you call for me okay?" Dean nodded, frowning.

"What's wrong? Where is Cas?"

"Don't know but Sarah doesn't remember him." Dean paled at that, not good. "I'll be back soon." Sam promised and then gathered every drop of power he had and teleported to Heaven itself. Ariel squawked and jumped as a very pissed off hell king appeared next to her. She flapped at him in annoyance before going back towards her tree. "Where is Castiel?" Sam asked her, he was madder than he had been at Doctor Black and that said something. No one messed with his family!

"Zachariah and Raphael took him to be educated. They wouldn't listen to me and Michael is not here to stop them." Ariel told him immediately.

"Can you show me where?" Ariel pointed. "Thank you." Sam took off, not caring why she had helped, just that she had. Ariel bolted to find Michael. Sam slammed into the building startling the angels within. "Get away from him right now!" He snarled and they moved away, sensing his anger and power. Sam moved to Castiel's side, gently lifting his head. "Cas? Can you hear me?" He called gently and dazed blue eyes opened.

"S..." he got out and Sam nodded, unchaining him and lifting him into his arms.

Caleb was pacing the den, waiting for Sam to return worried. Sam appeared with the badly battered angel in his arms. "Cas!" Caleb yelled moving to his Angel. He took him from Sam and growled at him. His angel!

Sam rolled his eyes. "Be territorial later Caleb, he needs medical help."

"From who?"

"We'll just have to do the best we can." Sam answered, going to get all the medical supplies. "Hopefully he can heal most of the internal stuff if we patch his vessel up."

Caleb nodded and moved Castiel to their bed. "Help him?"

Sam hissed as he found a wound that still had part of a blade lodged in it. "Hold him down."

Caleb did as ordered. "Gonna be okay Cas."

Castiel writhed in pain as Sam worked but didn't wake. He finally sat back and looked at his brother. "All we can do now is wait."

Caleb nodded. "What about Sarah?"

"Hopefully Cas can fix it once he's recovered. I could try but..."

"Not a good idea... divine and hell energies combining are not of the good."

Sam nodded. "Hopefully she hasn't forgotten anything really important." Caleb nodded and nuzzled Castiel's neck gently. Purring softly to comfort him. "Maybe just seeing him will help her remember."

"Let's hope so."

"I'll go get her and Dean. Dean feels pretty worried about Cas." Sam got up and headed upstairs to get them. Caleb nodded and sighed.

Ariel appeared in Sarah's room and frowned when she saw a hostile Incubus. "Nice... incubus?" Dean snarled, crouching defensively in front of his Mom, wings spread to hide her from sight. "I'm here to help." Ariel offered.

Dean snapped at her, calling out for Sam who appeared behind the angel. "Hello." Sam told her.

Ariel jumped and squawked again. "H-Hello."

Sam cocked his head to the side, studying her with still black eyes. "Why are you here?"

"I was going to undo what was done to Sarah." Ariel replied.

"Why? Why do you want to help when the others did this in the first place?"

"I did not agree with it." Ariel replied. "I argued against it to an extent. I am never listened to."

Sam stared at her, black fading to hazel before he moved to Dean's side and gently stroked his hair. "It's okay Dean, calm down." Sarah reached out and tickled Dean's wing to help him relax. Dean straightened up but watched the angel warily. "Sarah, will you let her help you remember?" Sam asked.

Sarah nodded. "What is she?"

"An angel. We should probably leave the room to keep the energies from reacting. We'll be with Cas when you're done."

"That is not needed." Ariel reached out and touched Sarah's forehead to undo what was done. "I am used to working around Demons."

Dean bit his lip nervously; angels were bad, well except for Cas. "Mom?"

Sarah frowned and looked at Dean. "I'm gonna pluck someone…." Dean instantly hid his wings despite not having feathers. "Not you." Sarah smiled to him before moving to find Castiel.

"He's in our rooms, he's badly hurt." Sam told her before teleporting them downstairs. Cas was lying on the bed, still unconscious. Sarah moved to check on Cas. Ariel popped in behind Sam. "Can you help him?" Sam asked her softly. Ariel moved over and touched Castiel, healing the physical wounds. Dean got on the bed and gently nuzzled the angel and Castiel moved slightly. Caleb growled possessively at Dean. "Children." Sam warned sternly. Caleb growled softly and hunkered down next to his angel. Sam reached out to gently stroke Caleb's hair. "We're all worried about him." He looked at Sarah. "So everything' back?"

Sarah nodded and paced. "If I ever get my hands on those bastards..."

Castiel's eyes opened slowly as she spoke. Caleb purred. "Castiel?" Emotionless blue blinked at the ceiling before he moved his head to look around. Ariel frowned as she watched.

"Cas? You okay?" Sam called, put off by the cool blue.

Castiel looked at him. "Sam." He stated and Sam winced at the lack of warmth.

"Cas?" Caleb asked.

"Yes?"

"You okay?"

"I am uninjured." He stated.

"Okay what the hell did they do to him?" Sam demanded of the other angel.

"Re-education." Ariel replied. "You interrupted it before they could enforce blind loyalty... but... his emotions..."

"Castiel?" Sarah asked, sitting down next to him. Castiel looked at her, hand twitching slightly as if he was going to reach for her. Sarah rested her hand on his cheek. "Cas..." His hand moved to cover hers and some of the ice in his eyes thawed much to the relief of those watching. So they hadn't managed to eradicate everything.

Ariel relaxed and leaned against the wall. "Thank father..."

"Sarah." Castiel whispered, staring at her as if trying to remember something.

"That's me." Sarah smiled. He didn't smile but he also didn't let go of her hand.

"Castiel, what do you remember?" Ariel asked.

"Zachariah and Raphael recalled me. I was to be punished for healing Sarah." He stated calmly. Why had he risked so much to heal her? He couldn't quite remember, it was there but he couldn't reach it. But something about her...

Ariel nodded. "You should have asked me."

"Cas do you...feel anything?" Dean asked, rubbing his arms. He couldn't feel anything off the angel, worse than when he had first come to them.

Castiel looked at him. "Emotions are a gift to humanity." Ariel swore. Dean huffed, they'd have to teach him all over again.

"I'm sorry... I tried." Ariel told Sam.

Sam nodded. "What about you? When they find out you helped?"

Ariel shrugged a bit. "Doesn't matter." Sam glared at her; he didn't want someone else hurt for helping them. "Michael won't allow them to do anything to me."

"Hope you're right."

Ariel nodded. "Maybe you should keep him with the Terminator tonight." She was joking... sorta.

"Being around us helped him work out emotions the first time and he still feels something for Sarah so...hey Mom care to share your room?"

"Not with everyone." Sarah replied. She got up and tugged Castiel with her. Castiel allowed her to lead him. Sarah took them to her room and closed the door behind her. "Are you hurt?"

"No." He answered, though he had lost his coat at some point.

"You sure?" Sarah asked, checking anyway. Castiel cocked his head to the side, watching her as she did so. Sarah sighed finding nothing. "How do you feel?"

"Why do you all keep asking that?"

"Because I am worried about you... and I care." Sarah replied. "I mean hell... we had soul sex according to Sam." Castiel blinked and then pulled her shirt away from her shoulder, revealing the light hand mark on her skin. He put his hand on it and felt his Grace react. Sarah gasped, her knees buckling. He caught her, studying her reaction and feeling a flicker of something. Sarah moaned and kissed Castiel. His lips parted under hers and he held her close, eyes closing. He trembled slightly, tightening his hold on her. Sarah deepened the kiss, her hand fisting his hair. He clutched at her, what she was doing almost hurt in a way as what little emotion he'd managed to hold onto fought to break free. Sarah pulled away to breathe. "Oh god..."

Castiel stared at her with wide eyes. "Sarah." He whispered in awe.

Sarah smiled. "That would be me." She rubbed the nape of his neck.

He gently traced her face. "Sarah." He whispered again and then a shaky smile appeared on his face.

Sarah's smiled widened a bit as some tears brimmed. "Yeah... keep remembering..." He lowered his head, resting his forehead against hers. "Bed?" Sarah asked, sniffling. He nodded and went to move but then hesitated before scooping her up and carrying her over like he had when he had healed her. Sarah yelped and laughed. "Like doing that huh?" Wrapping an arm around his neck.

"Yes." He lay out on the bed, holding her close. He was different with her, she made him different and he wanted to stay like that.

Sarah nodded as she curled with him. "Stay?" He nodded and hesitantly kissed the top of her head. Sarah relaxed, starting to fall asleep. His fingers moved of their own accord to her hair, gently stroking through it. Sarah nuzzled into his neck and sighed. A tiny smile made its way onto his face as he pulled a blanket over them to keep her warm.

Ariel felt eyes on her and looked to see who was staring at her. Dean was watching her. He wasn't sure he liked her but she had helped Mom and Cas... Ariel cocked her head to the side. Dean copied her. Ariel cocked it the other way and flapped her wings once. Dean laughed and copied her again Ariel smiled a bit. "A game?" Dean smiled shyly. She smiled and wrinkled her nose at him. Dean copied, almost going cross eyed as he tried to wrinkle his nose just like her. Ariel chuckled. "Don't do it if you can't." Dean shifted closer to her, sniffing curiously. Ariel froze and let him. Dean sniffed around her inquisitively. Ariel watched him curiously. "What are you doing?"

Dean stared at her. "You smell nice."

"Thank you?" Ariel looked at Sam confused. Sam bit his lip, trying not to laugh. "Does he do this often?" Ariel asked, pushing him away with her wing. Gently.

"You're new. He's learning you." Sam told her, patting the seat beside him and Dean moved to his side, leaning into him.

"I smell nice?" Ariel asked.

"Don't look at me, all I feel is a threat." Sam shrugged but Dean nodded at her.

"What do I smell like? Why do I smell nice?" She was confused, really her first time on earth since gaining a vessel.

"Lots of nice smells all mixed together." Dean shrugged.

"Maybe angels just smell nice." Sam offered.

"Does Castiel smell nice?" Ariel asked. Dean nodded. "Do I smell like Castiel?"

"A little. But there are big differences."

"Like what?"

"Female and male, different." Dean answered, he didn't know how to explain what people smelled like!

Ariel nodded and shook out her wings. "So... friends?" Dean blinked and cocked his head before nodding. Ariel relaxed. "Oh thank father... have more enemies than friends these days..."

"They try anything we'll help you." Sam told her firmly. She had helped them, for that along he would offer aide.

Ariel nodded and poked Dean gently. "Soft." Dean smiled and poked her back. Ariel grinned and looked at Sam. "How'd you get to heaven?"

"Um..." Sam frowned and then shrugged. "Just needed to be there to save Cas and it happened."

Ariel nodded. "You are full of surprises."

"Not what you were expecting from the king of hell?"

"Only one other that ruled hell could ever get to heaven." Ariel replied. "And he was thrown out." Sam looked at her curiously. Ariel just gave him a look. "Maybe you're not as smart as they claim."

His eyes widened. "Lucifer?" Ariel nodded. "Oh." Sam whispered. Dean nuzzled at him.

"He is the true king of hell... no offense." She shrugged some and sighed. "But he has been locked away since... since the fall." Sam nodded in understanding and Dean shifted even closer to Sam. "Sorry... I'm not supposed to talk about him." Ariel whispered.

Dean looked over at her. "You miss him." Ariel nodded and shrugged.

"Will you need a place to sleep? We'll need to add on another bedroom."

"Sleep?" Ariel cocked her head to the side.

"Sleep...when the body and mind rest?"

Ariel shook her head no. "Angels do not sleep."

Sam nodded thoughtfully. "You think they'll try for Cas again?"

"Maybe. I am not sure." Ariel sighed, crossing her arms." I would need to speak with Michael but he is... away at the moment."

"Great." Sam sighed. "Know any way of keeping them away from here?" Ariel nodded and touched his head. Giving him the knowledge of anti-angel sigils. She looked over at Dean when done. Dean stared back at her curiously. Ariel cocked her head to the side.

"You're weird." Dean told her and Sam groaned.

Ariel looked at Sam confused. "What?"

"Dean that was rude, apologise."

"But she is." Dean stated.

"How am I weird?" Ariel asked confused.

"Dean why don't you go see what Caleb's doing?" Sam said and Dean looked at him before nodding and going to find him. "You're not weird." Sam told her. "Dean might be an adult incubus now but...he's not used to new people who are different to us."

"I was asking Dean..." Ariel shrugged.

Caleb looked up from where he was reading a comic book. Dean flopped down beside him. "Why do the angels want to hurt Cas?"

Caleb shrugged. "Dunno. Wasn't around for them in my time." He poked Dean gently. "Sam yell at you?

Dean smiled at the poke and curled closer. "No, told me not to call her weird."

"Why'd you call her weird?"

"Cause she is." Dean shrugged. "We going hunting soon?"

Caleb shrugged. "Thought we were going to Florida for Vacation." Dean blinked and then grinned. He'd forgotten that! Caleb chuckled and noogied Dean. Dean laughed and wriggled free to pounce Caleb. Caleb gleeped as he was pounced. "Playful?" Dean grinned and attacked, tickling him. Caleb yelped and squirmed away. He hated tickles! Dean laughed and scrambled to stay on top, just wanting to play. Caleb kissed Dean to stop him from tickling him. Dean instantly responded to the kiss, tickling ceasing immediately. Caleb smiled. Yep he knew how to deal with Dean. Keep him from torturing him.

Dean nuzzled at Caleb. "Cheat."

"Am not." Caleb purred. Dean pressed closer; he loved the sound of Caleb purring. Caleb chuckled. "Whatcha doing?"

"Listening." Dean answered.

"Like me purring huh?" Caleb asked, purring louder, just for him. Dean nodded, relaxing against Caleb. Caleb kept purring until Dean was asleep.

Castiel watched over Sarah as she slept, how could a human make him actually feel something? He was an angel; he should feel nothing for anyone but his Father. It was confusing. He didn't want to be punished again. Sarah woke, feeling eyes on her and reached for the knife under her pillow. Castiel stroked her hair as he sensed her wake. Sarah relaxed when she recognized Castiel. "Morning Cas."

"Good morning." He greeted her softly.

Sarah sat up and stretched. "Are you feeling better?" she got up and dropped to the floor to do her push up routine.

Castiel tilted his head to the side, watching her. "I am fine." He answered. "Why are you doing that?"

"To keep in shape." Sarah replied. "Gets my blood pumping. Why?"

"It does not look comfortable."

Sarah chuckled. "Feel the burn and all that." She finished her push ups and went to shower and get dressed. Castiel just watched her go, confused. Humans were strange.

Sarah made her way to the kitchen to make herself and John breakfast. She hummed to herself as she cooked the eggs and bacon. Sam snuck up behind her and hugged her. "Morning Mom."

Sarah chuckled and leaned back into Sam. "Hey Sammy... you are on your own for breakfast."

Sam mock pouted before moving to get some stuff for everyone else. "How's Cas?"

"Still kind of out of it, but better. He didn't understand why I was doing push ups." Sarah replied. She looked over her shoulder when she heard the shuffling of feat. "Hey Dean." Dean rubbed his eyes sleepily, dressed in a pair of sleep pants only, wings drooping behind him and Sam hid a smile. Sometimes Dean just looked so cute even if he was grown up again. Sarah blinked at Dean; he looked like a big baby. "Morning baby boy." Dean yawned, showing his fangs, and then looked at her before walking over to Sam to lean against him sleepily. Sam wrapped an arm around him and kissed his cheek. He knew Dean was ignoring Sarah and he could understand why but it wasn't going to solve anything. Sarah blinked at Dean. "What's wrong...?"

Dean looked at her and then away and Sam sighed. "Dean the silent treatment won't solve anything."

"Especially since you were all over me yesterday." Sarah muttered as she went back to her food.

Dean just growled softly and went to the fridge to get what Sam needed. He would not talk to someone who didn't love them anymore. Sam stopped cooking and glared at Dean who flinched from the look. "Dean, stop being childish."

"I'm not!"

Sarah growled and shoved the pan away, turning off the stove. "Screw this." She stormed out of the kitchen. Moving to get her coat. She'd eat out.

Sam sighed and rubbed his face with a hand. "You really think this is helping Dean? It's her choice, whether we agree or not! How will you feel if you keep this up and she stays mortal? She'll die and you will have ignored her for years." Dean looked away, watching her head for her car. Sarah got im and rested her head on the steering wheel for a moment before starting the car to leave. Dean chewed at his lip, watching her. He glared at Sam before leaving the house, heading for her car. Sarah stopped backing out when she saw Dean march towards her. She put the car in park and glared at him silently. Dean stopped, wings flaring in a defensive manner. Sarah raised an eyebrow at him before starting to leave again. Dean took a step towards the car.

Sarah stopped the car and rolled down the window. "What?"

Dean chewed his lip with his fang and shifted nervously. He didn't want her to go but he didn't know what to say. "Stay?"

"You weren't talking to me five minutes ago. I don't even know why you're upset this time!"

Dean flinched slightly. "Cause you don't care about leaving us all."

Sarah turned the car off and got out. "I care that I'm leaving... but that isn't going to be for years. Why worry about it now? I just want to live a semi-normal life and die in bed, surrounded by those I love! At the age of 105."

"And then we'll never see you again! Ever! You're our Mom."

"That's being mortal Dean." Sarah sighed tiredly. "I don't want forever. I never did... hell... I was supposed to die... years ago." She laughed slightly hysterical.

Dean snarled at that and yanked the car door open. "No!" He wrapped himself around her as best as he could while she was still in the car.

Sarah blinked as she got glomped, wrapped in wings and dragged out of the car. "Dean what the hell are you doing!?"

Dean glared at her. "You were not meant to die then!"

"Dean, I am ten years out of time. I was supposed to die before you became an incubus."

Dean shook his head. "No. We need you."

"No... no you don't." Sarah sighed, slumping in his arms. 'I'm tired Dean... I just want to rest."

"So take a yearlong nap. Sammy or Cas could do that for you."

"A yearlong nap isn't going to help Dean." Sarah tried to pull away from him. Her stomach growling. "This kind of tired is... different." Dean cocked his head to the side and then picked her up when he heard her stomach, flying her back to the house so she could eat. Sarah squealed when he flew, clinging to him with her eyes shut tightly. He nuzzled her as he flew, dropping lightly onto the porch before putting her down so she could go inside. Sarah wobbled in and sat down. "How long has he been flying?"

Sam put a plate of eggs and bacon down in front of her. "A year or so, he doesn't do it much though."

Sarah nodded and started to eat. "I don't know what to do... I am NOT becoming immortal."

Sam sat down beside her. "What do John and Derrick think?"

"Not sure about John, but Derrick agrees with me. He doesn't want eternity either." Sarah looked around for coffee.

A mug floated over to her, made exactly how she liked it. "You and John would be the worst deaths." Sam admitted softly. It sucked that John, their little brother, looked almost as old as them now.

Sarah nodded and sipped her coffee. Relaxing now that she had food in her belly. "But do you really want us around miserable for eternity?"

"Would it really be that miserable? You have Cas now."

Sarah slammed her coffee down. "Yes it would! My life has been nothing but constant terror since I was 19! Unkillable machines coming at me and my son! Every night! Every day! For eternity?! Do you want me insane because you two are too selfish to let me go?!"

Sam pulled her into a hug and kissed her cheek. "No." He whispered. "Then at least let me make sure you'll go to hell so we have some way to look after you forever?"

"Hell?! Are you crazy!" Sarah pulled away and headed to her room. "You want me insane don't you?!"

Sam grabbed her arm. "Why is hell crazy?"

"It's Hell! It's my dreams every night!" Sarah yelled and pulled away. "It's the last thing I want! I want peace!"

"You'd have it, I swear. No demon would ever touch you. You would have a comfortable and peaceful place to live and Cas could come and go as you please. If...if you really wanted it you could forget all about Skynet and stuff."

"What makes you think I'm going to heaven anyway? I'm a terrorist!'

"One who fought for humanities survival." Sam pointed out.

"I really don't think the asshats upstairs care." Sarah replied. "Look. I am staying mortal. And I go where I go. End of discussion!'

"Fine." Sam said but if she went to Heaven he would tear it apart to see her again if he had to.

Sarah collapsed on her bed and sighed.

Caleb made his way down in just his sleep pants and blinked at Sam. "What I miss?"

"Fighting over Sarah and mortality." Sam shrugged and began washing up. "Better eat before it gets cold." He told him, watching Dean through the kitchen window as he played with Bobby's newest dog.

Caleb nodded and ate quickly before heading out and sitting down next to Dean. "You okay big brother?"

Dean nodded and tugged at the rope the puppy had in it's mouth, the puppy growling and trying to pull it from Dean's hand. "Will John want to die too?"

"Maybe... not everyone or everything is okay with forever. And we can't force it on them." Caleb rubbed Dean's back gently. Dean nodded grudgingly. He had been forced into this after all. Caleb pulled Dean against him purring softly. "Sarah and John are young and healthy. We don't have to worry about them leaving for a long time."

"Unless they get hurt hunting." He pointed out.

"Maybe John'll stay for Cameron?"

"Maybe." Caleb puzzled him purring, wanting him to relax. Dean nuzzled at him and the puppy crawled into his lap to nap. "It's gonna be okay Dean. I promise." Caleb purred. Dean nodded, petting the puppy whose tail wagged happily. Caleb chuckled and pet the puppy. "Made a new friend I see."

Dean smiled. "He's really playful and it'll help train him as a hunting dog."

"What are you naming him?"

"Bobby called him Johnny; think he likes bossing someone with Dad's name around."

Caleb laughed. "But he has our John. We need to give him a new name. Bobby bosses our John around as it is."

Dean grinned, Bobby liked bossing John around. "What's a good name for a puppy?"

Caleb shrugged. "Cujo?"

Dean shook his head. "No, he's too cute."

"Suggestions?"

Dean bit his lip, studying the puppy as it rolled around, begging for tummy rubs. He wasn't good at naming things. "Um...Thor?" He liked that movie.

Caleb grinned. "Works for me."

Dean grinned and rubbed the puppy's belly. "Good Thor."

Caleb nuzzled him. "Feel better?" Dean nodded and then Thor took off, barking happily and Dean took off after him.

Dean sat beside John. "Got a girlfriend yet?" He asked out of the blue.

John blushed brightly and looked away. "No! It's none of your business either! I'm not your food!"

Dean flinched slightly at that, hurt by John's response. He knew John wasn't food, he was his little brother. "Kay." He whispered and got up to leave. He'd just wanted to know if John was doing stuff outside of hunting. John huffed and grumbled. Bright red in embarrassment. Dean left him alone, heading outside to wander through the wrecks sadly. He'd just been curious. He only fed off Sam and Caleb! So why did John have to say that?

Cameron looked at Dean where Thor was barking at her. "You are sad. Why are you sad?"

"I...I just wanted to know if John was happy and stuff and he..." Dean shrugged and tossed a ball to Thor.

Cameron cocked her head to the side. "John has feelings for me and doesn't know what to do."

"What do you think about that?"

"What should I think?"

"About John liking you."

"What should I think about it?"

"Well do you like him?"

Cameron frowned. "I do not feel emotions. My mission is to protect John Connor."

"Even after all these years? That's all that matters to you? Can't you...learn past what you were programmed to do?"

"Yes, even after all these years, I cannot feel emotions."

"That's not fair. Do you want to feel things?"

"Emotions make things... messy." Cameron looked around. "They wound interfere with my mission. Besides, you cannot make me feel."

"Cas might be able to." Dean pointed out. "What will you do...when John...dies?"

Cameron frowned, thinking about it. "I will have failed my mission if he is killed."

"But he could still die of disease or age. You can't stop that."

"No. But that is a natural death."

"Will it matter to you?"

"I do not understand what you are asking."

"What will you do when John is gone? Will you stay with us? Go blow yourself up? What?"

"I do not know." Cameron replied.

"I hope you stay with us cause then...then we'll still have someone John loved with us."

Cameron looked at him. "You want me to stay with you? Because of my attachment to John?"

"You wouldn't be lonely if you stay with us." Dean told her. "Do you wish John would always stay?"

"I do not wish anything."

Dean rolled his eyes. "Would you prefer John never went away?"

"I do not prefer anything." Dean just shook his head and threw the ball again for Thor, the puppy taking off after it. "I am sorry if I do not give you what you want Dean."

"Why did John have to yell about him not being my food? He's never been food, I would never..."

"Because you asked an emotionally repressed man about his love life."

"So? Was just asking him. If he's not going...well we need nephews and nieces."

"You need nephews and nieces?"

"They'd be part of John and Mom left with us."

"All you care about is a living reminder of John and Sarah."

"John would be happier with a partner and kids. Being a Dad would make him happy, that's how it works. He's never really happy."

"Neither is Sarah." Cameron went back to working on the car.

"She's happier with Cas now."

"Yes, she is... but she is... tired." Cameron thought about the correct word before nodding. "Yes... tired."

"But she's happier now so that's good. Just want John to be happier too."

"So you are going to find him a mate?" Dean nodded. "I think that is unwise."

"Why?"

"Because bringing another person into this life is dangerous."

"There are female hunters and angels." He pointed out.

"So you are going to try and set him up with Ariel?" Dean blinked and thought about it, John and Ariel? She was weird but she might be good for John. "I highly recommend against this course of action."

"Why?"

"Because it is not your place to make people love each other."

Dean rolled his eyes. "Can't do that but could get them to spend time together and see if something happens."

"You are not going to take no for an answer... are you?"

"Not going to do anything to make them get together."

Cameron shook her head. "Just going to make John angry at you."

"Why? Not going to do anything."

"Just warning you."

THE END
Sorry but my co-author seems to have vanished. Her stories are no longer up on ffnet and her email no longer works. So there is no way for this to continue as I was only writing the SPN characters and Caleb was her own creation. However if someone would like to give finishing this a go then let me know.
