nala evans224: Thanks for being blunt. Your flame has been used to warm my feet up while I write this.

Kegger98: Hmm . . . *scribbles down ideas* Thanks for the idea.

aliciathewolf45: Danke, considering the last chapter was typed in 20 minutes. I saw the reviews for my Author's note and had to type something.

This is going to be a bit fluffy, so enjoy! Oh, I don't own Sonic the Hedge or any of its characters.

I don't know why she cried over Sonic's death. He was merely a player; there was no way I was going to let him touch my rose. I have to talk to her, make her understand . . .

The lonesome howl echoed across town, startling Amy. She peeked out her window, tears still fresh on her face. A wolfish face peered out of the shadows right back at her. Blood-red met emerald, sending a silent message: Come here.

Out of fear and curiosity, she silently slipped back outside. Immediately, the shadows that had clung to his pelt gave way to the porch light as he stepped forward to greet Amy. Oddly, Amy felt a sense of calm tinged with fear flood over her at the sight of his ferocious form. It's just Shadow , nothing to fear, she told herself, trying to keep the image of Sonic out of mind.

"W-Why? Why did you kill him?" she choked out.

He tilted his head to the side and spoke in a rough voice, rarely used when he was in his current form. "To show you how much I love you, Rose."

Fresh tears streamed from her eyes. "He was my friend! Now he's gone!" she cried out, collapsing on the grass , sobbing. Shadow inched his way toward the crying pink hedgehog until he could rest his head on her lap awkwardly, letting his body flop down beside him like an enormous dog.

Soon, the crying (muffled by his fur) slowly faded to a gentle snore, making the werehog give a small laugh. Carefully, as to not disturb the sleeping rose, he curled around her to keep her warm, falling asleep with a look of pure bliss on his face now that his rose was safe in his arms.

And here's chapter four! Please review, flames shall be used for warming up my pizza and constructive critisism is always welcome!
