"Wow, what a day!" Roxas exclaimed, flopping down in his usual chair. He and Axel were at the local Tea House, a favorite of theirs. It was where they'd had their first date together, ten years ago today. They'd been teenagers then, and now they were full grown adults with jobs, a flat, a cat, and everything in between. And they were still together.

They'd both gotten the day off from work, and had decided to spend it on fun stuff instead of the usual routine. The pair had gone to Six Flags and had spent most of the time in the water park, since it was a sunny, spring day.

"That was the perfect anniversary!" Axel agreed, grinning from ear to ear. He was still standing, which Roxas noticed. He decided not to say anything, assuming his boyfriend was going to get their order. They always got sea-salt ice cream. Always.

"Two ice creams for 'Team'!" The waiter shouted out, and Axel rushed over to the counter to retrieve them. He sat down, and he and Roxas dug into their treat. Axel never took his eyes off Roxas as they ate, which made the blonde slightly discomforted. He thought he'd have been used to Axel's piercing green stare by now. Nope. He wasn't even slightly. A thought crossed his mind, and he decided to share it with Axel.

"I remember the first time you looked at me like that."

"You know you're getting old when you start reminiscing." Axel quipped, and they both chuckled.

"Nothing wrong with memories." Roxas went back to his ice cream, and gave a start as his tongue licked something very not ice cream.

"What the–!?" He pulled it away from his mouth, and stopped when he saw what was embedded in the center of the ice cream. A thin gold band was barely poking out of the blue coloured snack. He looked up to find Axel standing up again. His grin was wider than ever, something Roxas never thought possible.

"Axel wha–?" Axel shushed him, and then got down on one knee.

"Hand me the ring, would ya'?" He asked, and Roxas gave it to him with trembling fingers. He was unaware of it, but by now the entire restaurant was silent; everyone was watching them, including the smiling waiter at the counter, who had stuck the ring in Roxas's ice cream.

Axel paused to clean off the ring with his shirt. When he did, he held it up so that the stones were visible. There were two, one was a scarlet ruby and one was an opaque gold garnet. They were nestled in a golden frame, and around the perimeter it said, "Memories", scrawled in a neat cursive.

Roxas tried to say something, but he only stuttered, "A-Axel."

The red-head smirked, locked eyes with Roxas, and said, "Roxas, will you marry me?"

"Yes!" Roxas cried, and they wrapped their arms around each other. Roxas was now aware that people had been watching, because nearly everyone in the cafe started applauding and cheering. The blonde felt tears form in his eyes, and he squeezed them shut.

After a moment, Axel pulled back, and took one of Roxas's hands.

"Hey, open your eyes Rox."

Roxas did, and his sea blue eyes were still watery. Axel was beaming as well as blushing, and he could see that Roxas was, too. He stuck the ring on Roxas's ring finger, and finally got off the floor and sat back in his seat.

The two could only just stare at each other, smile, and blush for the rest of the night. A similar thought was swirling in each of their minds; This man is mine forever.
