Hello Everyone! I'm happy to say that I'll be updating the story more frequently AND I am in the process of sketching out some scenes and character profiles :) I will add my deviantart link to my profile so you guys can see them when they are posted. I will also be adding the story to that page as well! Enjoy!

The wind was relaxing, smooth and gentle like a fine feather. It was a sensation that Natsume had grown to love on this journey that she and the others were on. Even though she had no recollection of what happened previous to their meeting, Natsume was perfectly happy traveling with her new friends. Taking in the surroundings as they traveled, nothing amazed her more than the sky and how it lit up the grass and the trees.

Walking side by side with Lucy and Natsu, Natsume grabbed Lucy's arm and tugged it a little. "Hey, Lucy. Have you ever been to the clouds? Or beyond that?" she asked as she pointed up at the bright blue sky.

Lucy took a few moments to process her question, but she too looked up at the sky. It is quite possible that the Celestial Realm and Edolas could count as venturing into the sky, but it was better to not assume in this case. Lucy had to choose her words wisely around Natsume, especially if she was to help nurture her into a whole new person. The thought of practically bringing this young adult girl up like a child kind of made Lucy happy, but also a little sad. She one day would hope to raise an actual child from birth and everything, so maybe this could be a bit of practice for her.

Lucy smiled and looked over at Natsume, "You know, I honestly don't know! You see, the sky is very vast. My celestial spirits would know more than me for sure…" she said almost leading Natsume to keep wondering. Natsume's expression changed a little and she looked up at the sky, almost like she was waiting for it to answer her questions. "However…" she heard Lucy say suddenly.

"There is a vast space out there. Beyond the clouds! That's where the Starlight Beasts used to roam and protect our world! Possibly other worlds too!" Lucy said, her gestures wide and full of strength. Natsume's eyes widened with awe and she smiled up at the sky. The thought of seeing other Starlight Beasts made her extremely happy, but then a troubling thought entered her head. "Lucy…You said "used to" about the Starlight Beasts…What does that mean?" Natsume asked as they continued walking.

Natsu was ahead of them a little bit, but he could still hear them. He turned his head and gave Lucy a slight nod to explain what she meant. He still remembers the day Loke and Capricorn told Lucy about the disappearance of the last Starlight Beast. Lucy saw Natsu's slight nod and sighed.

"Ever since the birth of our world and beyond that, the Celestial Spirits have been in charge of protecting all sacred and magical beings, including us humans. The Starlight Beast was one of those creatures. With the power to control the heavens, the beasts were rumored to protect planets and keep the natural balance of the stars in order. One day, a ruthless dark celestial wizard began to hunt them down so he could utilize their abilities. What he didn't know is that when you kill a Starlight Beast…It's blood seeps into your skin and slowly turns you to stone…Eventually into stardust." Lucy's voice was sincere, but she didn't want to scare Natsume.

"You see, a few months ago, my celestial friends came and visited me. They seemed sad, so I asked them what was wrong. It turns out that the last of the Starlight Beasts had gone missing. They weren't sad though, because they knew it was just missing and could possibly return. Now I'm positive that the last Starlight Beast is safe with you, Natsume. My friends are sure about it too!" Lucy said pointing down to her keys.

All Natsume did was listen to Lucy speak, the way she told this story was as if it was coming out of a book itself. Something didn't sit right in Natsume's head though, but the thoughts didn't sit too long before they became words.

"So wait, how am I able to control this magic then?" she asked, holding out her hand and letting her powers flow onto the palm of her hand. A small orb of bright starlight and blue dust swirled around in her hand. Lucy had a strong urge to touch it, but seeing what had happened when they found Natsume and the Master, she remained adamant.

"That I do not know either, to be honest. You may be the only Starlight Beast Wizard in all of Fiore! I'm hoping to learn more once we reach our destination, so don't feel down, okay?" Lucy said trying to be reassuring to the young girl. Natsume smiled at her and turned towards Natsu. She ran up to the Dragon Slayer and walked beside him. He seemed very stern and composed, but that didn't seem to sit right on his face. A sly grin grew on Natsume's face as a devious thought entered her head. With almost no hestitation, Natsume grabbed Natsu's scarf that Igneel gave him and ran ahead.

"OI! WHAT THE CRAP, BRAT?!" Natsu screamed at the top of his lungs, his blood boiling with rage and fury. Natsume laughed at him and waved the scarf in the air like a flag.

"C'mon, Mr. Sour Face! I'll give you back your muffler if you make a deal with me!" she called as Natsu walked furiously at her. Lucy and Happy followed, their laughter at the situation only made Natsu even angrier.

"Oh, YEAH? And what's that?!" he asked, his muscular arms folded over each other and a bright orange flame engulfing his body.

Unfazed by his magic, Natsume extended her hand with the muffler and gave Natsu her very own stern and fiery look. "If we are traveling together, I want just one rule between all of us." She started propositioning, but then her expression softened and her eyes became gentle. "No matter what happens, no matter how angry or upset we may get...We must always smile!" she spoke gently, almost like she was about to cry. Nat's face softened, his flames still covered his body though. "Especially at the sky!" Natsume said with elation in her voice. Lucy smiled back and tilted her head slightly, wondering how Natsu was going to respond.

Natsu didn't expect this from her. Yeah, she didn't have her memories prior to their meeting, but he thought something must have come back to her at least. Who was he to judge though, he's never lost his memory, so he wouldn't know what it feels like. His flame slowly died away and he just stared at Natsume. He was being a bit of a jerk to her, after everything he had learned from the master. Something was different now though; something about this girl kind of reminded him of Lucy in a way. A small grin followed by a chuckle was his only reaction to her. "I like your terms, Natsume! It's a deal!" Natsu said enthusiastically, holding out his right hand. Joy swirled around in Natsume's heart and she shook Natsu's hand. She gave him his muffler back and could only think nothing but happy thoughts. Natsume noticed the sky slowly began to change and turned around on the path. Her face widened with awe and all she could do was take in the amazing view. The sun was now starting to set over the rolling hills, casting a warm glow that made everything glisten like glass. Warm colors of radiant pinks and oranges spread across the sky, beams of sunlight stretching over the horizon. This was a moment Natsume, Natsu, Lucy, and Happy would always remember and hold in their hearts forever.

Something stood out in the distance in the corner of Lucy's eye, maybe a few miles from where they were standing. She took out a pair of binoculars from her shoulder bag she was carrying and held them up to her eyes. The focus was a little blurry, so a small twist of one of the lenses quickly adjusted the view. A large familiar estate could just be made, and boy was that a huge reality check for Lucy. Her heart began to pound out of her chest; the thought that this mysterious journey was going to continue made her feel very uneasy. Suddenly, she notices that the amulet around her neck was starting to glow again.

"Lucy…? What's wrong with your chest?" Natsume asked seeing this mysterious light emanating from the mysterious necklace. Lucy put the binoculars down in her bag and grabbed the amulet. The bright glow didn't have the familiarity of her mother that it did before. This glow was more like a desire glow; almost as if the amulet knew that it was near Lucy's old home. Almost like it was trying to take away Lucy's fear.

Natsu stepped towards Lucy and placed his hand on the amulet. Lucy looked up from the amulet and met his eyes. Natsu was always known to be one of the biggest goof balls in all of Fairy Tail, and his facial expression pretty much represented that side of him. A big cheesy smile stretched across his face, though it was not his normal comforting smile, it still made Lucy's heart feel at ease. "Don't worry, Luce! The four of us can handle anything thrown at us!" he said with confidence. Natsume bounced up from behind and placed her hand on the amulet too. At first, Lucy and Natsu were cautious that something would happen when she touched it, but to their relief, nothing happened.

"Natsu's right! Despite my memory loss, I will do my best to help you guys! It's the least I could do since you've been helping me!" Natsume cheered, her bright green eyes gave Lucy more hope than she could ever ask for. Happy of course flew over and put his paw on the amulet, "Aye, sir! We are going to kick this bad guy's butt!"

Lucy could feel it in her heart that this journey would be long, but as long as these three were by her side, she had strength.

"Alright! Let's go then!"
