I do not own Soul Eater, Coldstone, or the tiny little implication of Hetalia.
A/N: This is a present for C.D. Meiss for grammar checking the story that we are writing. She is putting a whole lot of work into it and asked me to write something for her. Then, I got inspired at work again. Hope everyone enjoys!
Symmetrical Ice Cream Sundaes
It was a dreary morning outside of the Coldstone. The snow had just finished falling, making a perfect winter scene on the sidewalk. Death the Kid smiled around at the area as he walked into the restaurant. His apron was on perfectly straight, the two buttons and his nametag were symmetrical and so was his visor-cap. He had a feeling that this was going to be the perfect day. He managed the Coldstone and had been manager for years. It was halfway because his father actually owned the entire company and halfway because he kept it so clean and organized. That day, however, it was packed. He had been thinking that no one would get ice cream because of chilly weather outside but for some reason it seemed like the entire small town had come to get ice cream.
The first people in line were his weapons, Liz and Patty. After them were Maka, Soul, Blackstar and Tsubaki. And then there were probably fifteen more people in line. It took him around ten minutes just to get the first two ice creams done and by then, a lot of people were complaining. Someone actually threw a shoe at him, hoping it would make him hurry, but it didn't. Ice cream is a very fickle mistress and it is nearly impossible to make it symmetrical, But Kid was trying, he really was.
So, after two and a half hours, he had gotten to the last person in line. The girl had brown hair that fell perfectly, framing her face. Her gray eyes watched him, a slight smile in them. He noticed that she had freckles on her cheeks that actually were symmetrical. All in all, he saw her as an angel from heaven. "How can I help you today?" He asked her, she smiled back at him. "Can I get Love it size of Birthday Cake remix in a waffle bowl, please?" He nodded and began to work on her ice cream, but instead of making a Love It size, he made a Gotta Have It size.
She didn't notice and began making small talk with him, "So, what's your name?" He looked up while putting the ice cream into the waffle bowl. "I'm Death the Kid and you are?" "My name's Sahara." Her voice had a soothing lilt to it, almost as if she was Irish. He walked over to her from behind the counter, "The ice cream's on the house but only if you do one thing for me?" Her eyes widened and then stared at him curiously, "And what would that be?" From behind his back, he pulled out two spoons, "Can we share it?" She chuckled, "Sure, come on." He sat down at a table, across from her, smiling widely.
Back in line, a young man yelled at them, "Hey, the hero needs his ice cream!" Kid glared over at him with his shinigami prowess and then looked back at Sahara, "Will you excuse me for one moment?" She nodded and he walked over, pushed the customer out the door and then yelled, "We're closed!" He flipped over the sign to say, 'Sorry, we're closed' and then headed back to the table. He sat down again, not caring if he got fired from his job. "You're very symmetrical, you know?" She raised an eyebrow and then laughed, "Uh, thanks?"
