2015 is nearly over...and here i am updating to this story after 2 years.

so I guess..um..enjoy..

Chapter 6

Father and Child

Everyone fell silent promptly. The last person she expected to show up here was most defiantly not her own father. No, she was shocked to see her father standing there by the guilds doorsteps. Fear rushed through her body and she started to shake.

She wanted to cry, she wanted to run, but her feet were planted to the floor. With widened eyes Lucy gazed upon her father, still continuing to shake violently.

"F-Father…" she repeated, her voice not louder than a whisper.

Realization was drawn over the guild of who exactly stood in front of them. Why hasn't he said anything yet? Why was he only standing there, tensening the whole atmosphere with just his presence?

And yet again no one dared to say a word.

"That's your so called father?!"

Or so they thought until Natsu burst out, questioning if this man was really Lucys father. Lucy trembled, only waiting for her father to finally scold her for running away when he specifically had forbidden for her to leave home.

She left.

Now she had to face the consequences, and she was terrified.

"Natsu! Quiet." Erza snapped threatening.

Even though rage built up inside of Natsu, he knew deep down this wasn't the time to actually go all out on a man, who was at the same time the father of a friend and was about ten times bigger than him.

But that didn't stop him to fight someone before, no has it?

But still, there had to be a reason, which Natsu and rest didn't know of, why Lucy was here instead of home, why she looked obviously terrified down to the bone and why she wanted to run instead to go to her father willingly.

Lucys father cleared his throat. The said child flinched but didn't say anything further. He took a few steps towards the child and raised his hand.

Now. He wouldn't dare to hit his child no. But that didn't stop Lucy to squeak in fear and trying to make herself smaller than she already is. Squeezing her eyes shut she waited for the impact of his hand on her face.

But it never came.

Natsu and Gray were ready to jump in front of Lucy to protect her, but stopped midway when they saw that the man grabbed Lucy by her wrist instead, dragging her harshly back to the exit of the guild.

Tears welled up in the girl's eyes, sobbing quietly while getting dragged by her father. His grip around her slim wrist hurt her and couldn't help herself but to cry. She didn't want to know what would await her once she and her father where back at home…alone without her new freshly made friends.

Her crying increased. She was scared. So scared.

"H-Hey! You can't just take her with you!"

Well actually he can.

The sudden outburst made the man stop his way towards the guilds exit, slightly turning his head towards him, his one eyebrow raised. Still having said nothing, he waited for the boy to continue to talk.

Erza wanted to snap angrily yet again, but Gray did had a point. Lucy is a member of the guild; she is part of the family. She wouldn't just stand there and watch while Lucy gets taken away. And neither would Natsu.

Erza took a step towards Gray and folded her arms, staring sternly at the man who calls himself father. "He is right, you cant."

Lucys father chuckled slightly and turned back to the door, continuing to walk out of the guild. The young girl didn't even have the strength to fight back in order to stay with her new found family. Not only was she physically very weak, but she was also too scared of what her father might do to her friends if she dared to fight against her father sudden appearance.

So Lucy will endure it to protect her family and herself. Once both figures were gone, the members of the guild needed a few seconds to realize yet again what just happened.

Now , not only Erza was dripping with rage, but also Natus and Gray. And lets not forget the other guild members.

"How dare he!"

"Lets not stand here! Lets go and bring her back!"

"What in fairy tails name was that all about!?"

And there where a dozen more of different exclamations about the situation which just occurred a few moments ago.

"Silence!"

Interrupted the harsh voice of certain guild member. Not only a member but also the master. The load chaos of a bunch of members slowly died down and turned to their master, who stood on one of the tables, eyes closed in order to focus on his thoughts.

"Now…" Makorov cleared his throat, eyes opening to gaze upon his family. "Lets calm down and arrange our thoughts."

"But he took Lucy away from us!" Natsu roared. "How can we just calm down!? Lets just break in and get her back!" And Natsu could remember how Lucy previously said the she doesn't actually have a home. And she wouldn't lie about things, right?

"Yeah! Didn't you see how scared she was? She even cried." Now, Gray hated to see people cry. And when he first met Lucy, she also shed tears.

Erza nodded in agreement. "I can't abandon one of my friends like that."

Makorov sighed quietly. He could vaguely put the pieces together of why Lucy seemed so terrified, but yet again, he couldn't just separate a father from his child.

The guild master couldn't imagine what he'd do without his children, so….

"My children, he is her biological father, it does not lie in our hands to interfere in this."

It may sound cold, but he would interfere once if things would turn rapidly for the worst.
