A/N: Working on being a little more descriptive in general, but specifically within different perspectives, so this was born. Thinking this might be a lot of fun, since I like looking at different perspectives on characters and their actions and such. Chapter lengths and updates will vary depending on inspiration, I guess. I hope ya'll enjoy! Please review and let me know what you think so that I may hopefully improve.

Disclaimer: I do not own FF7, or any of its characters.

She missed the stars.

Once, long ago, she glided amongst them like stardust. The moons, stars, planets, and suns; they sang to her. Each had its own tempo, and beat. They whispered their inexplicable melodies to her and it filled her with such a joy she could never truly communicate the feeling to another. She sang back to the planets, moons, stars, and suns.

Then, she would consume them.

Bring those beautiful melodies into herself, let them fill every inch of her being. She would in following, explode, releasing all the energy, with which she would use to reform her body. Then off she would go again, gliding through the darkness of space.

She missed it so, so terribly.

If she had not come to this retched planet, this GAIA, then she would still be amongst the stars.

She should have known better then to go after a planet, they were tricky to consume and often had other life existing on it's surface. But she had been young and foolish and arrogant. It was her undoing.

Usually when consuming a planet or star, you had to find a center point or access point to the core to begin the process. It wasn't easy to find, and sometimes it was even protected. It had been so effortless in the past though, she'd thought it would easy.

It wasn't.

Finding the access point was very easy, but it was guarded by a race called the Cetra. They were a creature that was intricately connected to the planet, that of which was quite sentient. Not all planets were, most weren't actually. To find a sentient planet, with a sentient people directly connected to said planet was a one in a trillion phenomenon.

The Cetra were very powerful, and outnumbered her quite a bit. They overpowered her, and sealed her within the great cavern she created when she landed upon the planet.

Which was where she still resided, stewing in her rage and despair.

She yearned for the sky, the stars! The darkness of space, the song of the planets, and stars. She missed her children, and her mate, her kin. When she disappeared did they look for her? Did they despair and cry and rage at her loss, as she did for them? Would they come for her? Would they find her?

Jenova let out a great wail that echoed through the expansive caverns. It was filled with rage, despair, anger, hatred.

One day, she would find a way out of this tomb and exact her revenge upon the Cetra, and all of their ancestors. She would tear the planet apart, piece by piece, and consume ever particle of it.

She would destroy it, all of it.

Then, she would return to the stars. She would sail the dying embers of the planet like a great ship into the blackness of space, and find her way back to her kin.

She would return home.
