Chapter 36

5 months later

Settle, Washington

*Sam's POV*

"Oh fuck," I whispered into Freddie's ear as he continued to push into me.

Freddie groaned. "Say my name," he whispered back.

"Oh… Freddie," I moaned.

"Say it again," He beckoned.

"Freddie," I said again causing him to buck faster. I placed my lips on his to keep from yelling out. It was already hard trying to be quiet.

I yelped on his lips as our rhythm sped up and he began pushing inside of me even deeper.

I didn't know how much more I could take without yelling out. I let go of his shoulders and grabbed Freddie's undershirt that he had placed neatly beside us. I put it up to my face and bit down just as I felt myself about to scream out.

"FUCK!" I yelled into the shirt. I heard Freddie trying to contain his self as he let out more and more grunts. I was close I felt myself tightening around him…

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*

"Samantha Joy Puckett, I know you're in there." I heard a whisper come from outside the door.

"Oh shit," I whispered to Freddie. Who didn't make any movements to pull out of me, even if the moment was over.

"Shh," he whispered. "Maybe if we're quiet she'll go away."

"Sam, I'm serious you need to get out here now." The voice said a little louder I could tell it was Carly. I stifled a laugh.

"Um, okay Carly, I'll be out soon alright." I said even though Freddie was shaking his head for me to keep quiet.

"I don't believe you," She stated. "Look, I know you're not a big fan of the dress but you look great."

"Damn, right she does." Freddie whispered with his smirk, before kissing me on my neck. Safe to say it was that dress that had us in this bathroom in the first place. I was coming out when he saw me, but he pushed me back into the bathroom and told me to take it off.

"Sam," Carly said impatiently. I could hear her tap her foot.

I sighed. "Okay," I yelled towards the door. Freddie's head fell on my shoulder. I patted the back of it. He gave me a pouty face. I shook my head and mouthed the words "pull out now."

He slowly removed himself, teasing me for not being able to finish. I gave him a kiss as I hopped off the counter and onto the floor.

"Sorry," I said.

He pulled his pants up from around his ankles and pulled me close to him. "You're going to be sorry," He said in a low sexy tone before laying a feverish kiss on my lips. "We'll finish this later."

"You bet we will." I said before pulling away from him and carefully putting back on my pale pink dress.

I check myself in the mirror and made sure not a hair pin or curl was out of place before opening the door and coming out. I quickly shut the door behind me when I saw Carly was still standing there starring out the window towards the area set up with about sixty chairs.

She turned around when she heard the door shut. "Oh my God look at you. You look beautiful she said looking at the dress that mirrored hers."

"Yeah, I guess." I said.

"Oh stop, wait til Freddie sees you. I heard he's been running around here somewhere." She said.

"Yeah let's go find him," I said trying to move her away from the bathroom door before Freddie came out, but she didn't budge.

"Sam does that row of chairs look off?" She asked focusing back towards the window. I rolled my eyes.

"They look fine, let's go." I said trying to pull her away again.

"No, but look they are throwing the center aisle off." She disputed.

"Ugh, fine we'll go find the boys to go fix it." I said once again trying to pull her away, but the bathroom door swung open.

Carly spun around to see Freddie smoothing out his jacket as he came out. I put my head in my hands and let out a sigh as Carly's mouth fell open.

Freddie looked up to see us standing there and gulped. "Oh you two weren't supposed to still be standing here."

"You," Carly said pointing to Freddie. "And, you," She sounded even more disgusted as she pointed to me. "Just now, in that bathroom, Sam your mother is getting married in less than 40 minutes and you were… doing it in the bathroom of someone else's house?"

I held my head down in shame and shrugged my shoulders. She had a point. Everyone has been running around trying to make sure today is perfect. Especially Melanie and Carly, they had planned the whole thing. It was originally just Mel trying to plan it from England, but she couldn't do it alone. Of course, me being me and trying to keep from having to help I introduced her to Carly via video chat. Carls helped her plan the entire thing. Worst. Mistake. Of. My. Life. Ever since, Mel got into town they both have been driving me crazy. Safe to say I'm ready to get this wedding over with and I only have two jobs. One is wearing this fucking pink dress, and the other doesn't come into play until the reception.

I had almost forgotten that Carly was chewing me out.

"You two have got to stop, you've been at it like this since you got back in town last weekend." Carly said pointing at us. "And, I am sick of basically catching you two, because all you do is fuck like rabbits." Carly continued to yell.

"Shh," Freddie tried to get her to quiet down as the guest started to appear.

"DON'T SHUSH ME FREDWARD ISAAC!" Carly scream. "YOU CAN SHUSH ME WHEN YOU CAN KEEP THAT… THING IN YOUR PANTS! NOW, GO FIX THOSE DAMN CHAIRS! AS FOR YOU, YOUR MOTHER AND SISTER ARE LOOKING FOR YOU, SO MOVE YOUR ASS!" She said fixing herself and walking away.

She was right ever since I got back in town, it has been damn near impossible for us to keep our hands off of each other. We had saw each other last month I came in town for my birthday weekend, but it wasn't nearly enough. As for spring break, I couldn't come Shelia had went into labor and gave birth to my baby brother Royce Jr. or as we're calling him R.J. I opted to stay in Texas to help her, which led to a slight fight between me and Freddie, but he eventually understood. R.J. is my little brother after all.

I moved back to Seattle last weekend even though my dad and Shelia weren't really feeling it. I wanted to finish out my senior year with my friends and boyfriend. I was happy to be back.

I walked into the room of the huge mansion to see my sister putting the final touches on my mom's make up. Since, my parents never had a real wedding, they went to the justice of the peace, this was my mom's chance for it. Still she tried to keep things simple. She was just wearing a simple beige dress with a rhinestone pin in her hair. She didn't want to wear a veil.

As for the venue, James brother, the doctor, was hosting. Mel, Carly, and I were mom's bridesmaids since mom doesn't have too many female friends and she wanted us apart of her day, so James chose two of his nephews and a younger cousin to be his groomsmen.

"Mom you look great." I said walking in the room and plopping down in a chair.

"Thanks Sam," She said back, turning back towards the mirror before standing up and walking towards us.

"Alright, let's get this show on the rode." She said grabbing her bouquet and heading towards the door. I grabbed my bouquet and prepared to follow her but Melanie stopped her.

"Mom, you can't go yet, you need all your items for luck." She said

"I don't need all that shit." My mom said causing Melanie to turn a bright red. She hated when we used profanity around her. "I didn't have it the first time I got married.

I laughed. "And, look how that turned out." I said. My mom shot me a warning glance and I backed off.

"Fine whatever, give it to me." My mom said waiting for my sister to lay out all the necessity.

Melanie clapped her hands excitedly. "Alright, your hair pin is your something new. I found an old picture of grandma." Melanie started.

"The lipstick Melanie used on your lips is your something borrowed, but we still don't have something blue." Carly said. "So, that's what we need to figure out."

They began digging through their purses trying to find anything blue, but then I remembered I had something.

"Wait," I said reaching into my bra and pulling out a blue handkerchief, and handing it to Melanie. "Here, is your something blue."

"Where did you get this from?" Melanie asked.

"I stole it from Freddie, when I ran into him downstairs." I said. I looked over at Carly who just shook her head at me.

My mom and Melanie blew me off and hid it where it wouldn't be seen.

"Alright, you're ready." Melanie said once again clapping her hand in excitement. "Let's go.

We walked down to the backdoor where we would be making our entrance, and waited for our cue.

The music soon started Carly gave herself a quick look over before grasping James cousins arm and heading out the door and down the aisle.

"This is it mom," Melanie said before giving my mom a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Yeah this is the last chance you get to back out. I got the get away car running, all you have to do is say I don't, and I'll have you out faster than the secret service when President Obama gets a life threat." I said wiggling my eyebrow.

My mom just shook her head. "Just get down the aisle Pucketts." My mom said.

We gave her one last hug and grabbed our escorts. I made my way down the aisle. As I walked I saw all my friends sitting on row, and every police officer I ever dealt with on the other side. I almost wanted to run just for caution, but I didn't. Mainly because I saw Freddie and his handsome smirk looking me up and down before he licked his lips.

I know this isn't the time to be thinking about this, but I knew he meant that we would definitely be finishing what we started in the bathroom. I laughed and continued down the aisle.

Soon after me Melanie landed at the alter and took her place by me. The music changed and my mother began to make her way down the alter. She looked the happiest I have ever seen her, which was change I honestly didn't know how to take. For years it was just us and she always seemed so miserable, but now she was all smiles.

She finally reached her grinning groom and vowels were exchanged. I looked out at Freddie who was smiling as hard as James was. He saw me looking and shot me another wink. I smiled and mouthed I love you. He mouthed it back and I turned my attention back to the very boring ceremony. I mean I don't understand why the hell this has to take so damn long.

In my eyes, mom is old and she's been married before, I mean no, she didn't have a real wedding, but she should still understand the logistics. Did she really need to act out every aspect of a wedding?

I was so lost in my thoughts I almost missed the announcing of Mr. and Mrs. James Foster. Thank God for Carly, she had elbowed me when she saw me blank out.

I clapped my hands as my parents kissed, while Melanie got extremely excited and grabbed my arm proceeding to jump up and down. I quickly shook her off. The music proceeded and we followed our mother out towards the house.

Once the guest cleared out and headed towards the area that was being used for the reception, the bridal party went back out to take pictures. By time the hundredth picture was taken I was fed up. I sat down on one of the chairs as I waited to be called to take our family picture.

"Congratulations, you made it through." Freddie said wrapping his arms around me and kissing me on the side of the head.

"Not quite," I said. "There's still the damn reception."

Freddie laughed. "You ready to give your speech?" He asked while sitting down next to me.

I shrugged my shoulder, and grabbed his hand. "Can't we just skip this shit and go back to your house and finished what we started?" I slightly whined.

"Sam you can't miss your mother's reception. Plus, that speech is your one responsibility, remember?" He said.

I made a face and nodded my head.

"Sam come on it's our turn." Melanie yelled out heading towards the altar and taking her place on one side of my mother.

"Hey," Freddie said tapping on my shoulder. I looked over at him. "I'll see you over there." He said before kissing me.

I nodded my head and headed towards the altar and stood next to my stepdad.

James put his arm around me and pulled me in a hug. "Last picture, I promise." He said holding up the Scouts Honor.

"Thanks, I was going to bail the hell out if I had to take anymore." I said causing James to laugh and shake his head.

Once we took our last picture we lined up and prepared for the introductions by the DJ. We made our entrances and sat at the front table to eat.

The music played and it wasn't long before me and my friends were out on the dance floor. As a matter of fact we were the only people on the dance floor.

After awhile, James oldest nephew and best man Nathan came up to me and Freddie. "Hey Sam, it's time for the speeches." He said handing me a champagne glass. I made a face and nodded.

Freddie shook his head at my reaction. "Just go up there and say your speech, but be nice Sam." He said shooting me a look.

I rolled my eyes. "I know Fredward, I would never purposely say anything to embarrass my mom in front of all of her and James friends and family." I said with a wink.

I looked back at Freddie, who all of sudden looked very nervous, as I climbed on the DJ platform next to Nathan.

Nathan took the microphone from the DJ and called for everyone to quiet down. My parents took there places back at the table.

"Hi, for those who don't know I am James' oldest nephew Nathan, and surprisingly his best man. Um, when my uncle told us he was finally getting married after all these years I was surprised. My uncle was always known for all work and no play." He said causing our audience to laugh. "He really was. We had to have his surprise birthday party at his office building because we didn't think he would leave for it. All of a sudden he was doing more. We could never catch him at his place, and if you called him in the wee hours of the night he would actually pick up. So, Pam I want to thank you for giving my uncle a reason to live outside of work. He loves you and you guys are great together. And, I am very proud to welcome you and your daughters to the Foster clan." He said before holding up his sparkling cider and handing me the mic.

Everyone clapped their hands and focused their eyes on me.

"Well, not quite sure how I can follow that." I said with a nervous laugh causing everyone else to laugh. "I'm not really into giving speeches, but since my sister planned the whole wedding, and handled all the maid of honor duties, SHE only thought it was fair for me to give the speech." Once again everyone laughed.

"When my mom first met James, he was my lawyer. I thought that my life was going to be over mainly because I assumed this was their way of keeping a closer watch on me. In all honesty, I really didn't care for the idea of them being together let alone getting married. However, over time I realized something, James wasn't there to annoy me or be a my personal prison guard. He only was trying to look out for me… like a father." I stated as I looked out to see a heart felt smile on James face. "And, despite how much I tried to turn him away, or was rude and disrespectful to him, he never gave up. Not to mention he made my mom so much happier. She was smiling again, and I haven't seen her smile since… I don't know. That's how long it has been. I want to thank you for that James. My family was a bit of mess before you, and it still is. We're wild, crazy, and a bit dysfunctional, but you are able to see past that. You're much more than the guy who married my mom, you're my other dad." I said causing everyone to awe. I raised my glass before taking a sip and everyone joined in.

"Now, unfortunately for me, I'm a poor high school senior so I couldn't afford a wedding present for the happy couple. However, my mother had a special request that I would only do for her, so if the bride and groom can come to the center of the dance floor.

My mom and James headed to the middle of the dance floor as I grabbed a pearpod from Carly. I handed it to the DJ and handed my glass to Nathan, who made his way off the stage.

I turned back around and looked down at my parents. "Mom told me you two didn't have a song, so this is my mom's favorite song and I am dedicating it to you two. Welcome to the family James." I said as I gestured toward the DJ to start the music.

Mom grabbed her heart as the music started, and turned towards James. He took her in his arms and began to sway back and forth.

"Watching every motion

In my foolish lover's game

On this endless ocean

Finally lovers know no shame

Turning and returning

To some secret place inside

Watching in slow motion

As you turn around and say

Take my breath away

Take my breath away"

Everyone looked on swaying as I sang to my parents' during their first dance. I could've swore I saw my sister started crying. Not that I would be surprised she is such a girl.

"Watching I keep waiting

Still anticipating love

Never hesitating

To become the fated ones

Turning and returning

To some secret place to find

Watching in slow motion

As you turn to me and say

My love

Take my breath away"

By time I got through the second verse more couples had joined the floor. That included Brad and Carly. Freddie was dancing with Missy, but starring at me. I smiled as I saw him starring at me. In many ways this song described us. We weren't trying to happen, but we did. Through the significant others, drama, and 'not nows' we had managed to find each other through it all.

"Through the hourglass I saw you

In time you slipped away

When the mirror crashed I called you

And turned to hear you say

If only for today

I am unafraid

Take my breath away

Take my breath away"

I hadn't even noticed that while I was thinking about Freddie I began to sing with more emotion. I accidently started to sing to him. From the looks of it didn't matter. Everyone was into it. The couples that were dancing, and those who weren't were sitting and nodding their heads.

"Watching every motion

In this foolish lover's game

Haunted by the notion

Somewhere there's a love in flames

Turning and returning

To some secret place inside

Watching in slow motion

As you turn my way and say

Take my breath away

Take my breath away"

As the song ended the couples began to pull apart and clap their hands. I turned it back over to the DJ and headed of the platform to my parents and gave them each a hug. They thanked me for singing for them.

Mel and Carly rushed over to us and began to gush over my performance. Mirrors by Justin Timberlake came on and James tapped me on the shoulder

"Would you do me the honor of dancing with your new stepdad?" He asked holding out his hand. I laughed and took his hands as he began to twirl me around.

"Are you humming the words?" I asked as he murmured along with the tune.

"Hey, I know you think I'm old and all, but I actually love this song. It's one of my favorite ones out right now." He said.

I laughed as we continued to dance. Halfway through the song Freddie came up and cleared his throat. "Do you mind if I cut in sir?" He asked.

James nodded and kissed me on the cheek before turning my mom around and twirling her away from Nathan and into him. Nathan grabbed my sister and began to dance with her.

"So, if I didn't know any better, I would say that song was being sung not only to your parents, but a certain smart and sexy jock that stole a certain troublemaker's heart." Freddie said flashing his smirk.

I rolled my eyes. "Sometimes you can be such a cocky ass, you know that?" I answered back causing him to laugh.

"But, you love me." He said.

"Unfortunately, I don't know why." I said.

All of a sudden the look in his eye became mischievous. He leaned closer so no one could hear him. "Well, if you're done performing all your duties, we can get out of here, and I can show you why you love me." He said before nibbling on my ear.

I looked around, and didn't see any other reason to stay. "You pull the car around, and I'll meet you in five minutes." I said, didn't want to make my leaving to obvious.

"Deal, meet you at the front in five." He said before kissing me. "This is going to be a great summer." He said

before hurrying towards the exit. I looked out at my boyfriend and shook my head.

"He's such a nub." I laughed

A/N Thank you all so much for all your support through this fic. I know the ending lacked but it will be made up for in the sequal.
