Bobby knew that Kurt wouldn't be ignorant of monsters for long; after all he has become very close to both Sam and Dean. But he never would have guessed that Kurt would have found out about supernatural creatures like this.
The Winchester boys were staying over at Bobby's house once again while their Dad went out hunting, and they were getting bored. Well, Dean has been getting restless while Sam has been perfectly comfortable, but he does tend to follow Deans lead. So when Dean asked Bobby if they (Kurt, Sam and Dean) could go camping, Bobby knew that he would have to give in or be pestered for the rest of their visit.
Bobby conceded, but added a few terms to the deal to make sure they would be safe. Dean agreed that they would camp in the junkyard and stay within running distance.
Bobby helped them set the tent up, gave them some McDonalds and then went home. He wasn't particularly scared, knowing that Dean at the very least could protect himself due to his dads training. That's why it was so shocking when they came running home before it even reached 1:00 A.M.
"Okay," Kurt says, rolling his eyes and laying down on the tent. "We are camping. So much fun."
"Shut up," Dean said, kicking Kurt lightly with his feet. "It is."
Kurt sat up and squinted at Dean. "So what are we supposed to do the whole night? I'm pretty sure you didn't get us all the way out here to go to sleep."
"No!" Dean says, sticking out his tongue. "Camping is like⦠a sleepover! So we can't go to sleep at all."
Kurt groans and lies back down. "What are we supposed to do then?"
"Kurt," Dean whined. "Haven't you ever seen camping movies or something?"
"No," Kurt says shortly.
Dean rolls his eyes, knowing Kurt is lying. "Why are you ruining my fun?" Dean whines out. "Sammy is a much better camper than you!"
"First of all," Kurt says, counting down his points on his hands. "Sammy is reading a book, which means he's not paying attention to you. And I am. So that makes me a better camper than Sammy." Dean turns and looks at Sammy, who is in fact reading, and smacks him over the head. "Second of all, the only reason I came camping is because of you, so you owe me."
Sam turns to look at Kurt and pulls out the puppy dog eyes, "I thought you came for me."
"Shut up, Sam." Kurt says, not even looking at him. "I'm not talking to you. I can't believe you took that book from me when you know I'm not finished reading it!"
Sam proceeds to pout at Kurt. "First of all," Sam says, trying to get Kurt to forgive him. "You know I like the Percy Jackson series better than you, so you can't really blame me for stealing it. Second of all, you've had three weeks to read it, Kurt! I'm sorry that you are slow at reading, but I'm not gonna suffer because of your flaws!"
"Oh you little shit," Kurt says, standing up to hit Sam with his pillow.
"No!" Dean says, standing up and pointing at Sam and Kurt. "Stop. Both of you sit down! Just because I said it's like a sleepover doesn't mean we have to have a pillow fight!" With that, he glared at Sam and Kurt until they both put their pillows down beside them, feeling a little ashamed and not knowing why.
Dean then sits down, and grabs both of their pillows while keeping his glare trained on them. "And anyways," Dean continues. "If we were having a pillow fight," a pause and then, "I'd beat both you asses!" With that he swings Kurt and Sam's pillow at them, smacking them in the face.
"Not fair!" Kurt and Sam say simultaneously. They then look at each other and grin.
Dean notices their grin and starts backing away. "Not fair!" He mimics, unconsciously. "There are no teams in pillow fights! It's every man for themselves!"
"Well," they say looking at each other. "You should have thought about that before stealing our pillows!"
After their pillow fight, where Kurt and Sam got Dean to plead 'Mercy!', they sat in a circle with Dean holding the flashlight upright in the middle. "Time for," he says and then leans in for dramatic effect, "scary stories."
Kurt rolls his eyes at Deans glee, but does scoot forward so he could hear better. Sam stays uninterested, but doesn't return back to reading his book as he knows that Dean is very excited for this part of the camping trip.
After scary stories are shared, the three boys have fun making shadows with the flashlight. Soon after, Kurt and Sam started talking about their favourite books and they even manage to get Dean talking even though he normally pretends to be too cool for books.
Yet, their conversation soon gets interrupted by yawns, so Dean decides it's time for bed. Kurt and Sam tries arguing, but they soon gave up and snuggled into their sleeping bags. Kurt and Dean were drifting to sleep when Sam spoke. "Guys?" Sam whispers into the tent.
"What now?" Kurt says, sounding annoyed due to his lack of sleep.
"I'm scared." Sam whispers even more quietly than he did before.
"It's okay," Kurt says, rolling his eyes. "It's not like any of our stories were real or anything. There's no such thing as monsters."
"But there is," Sam protests, fear making his voice come out in a high pitch.
Dean rolls his eyes and rolls over so he's facing Sam's sleeping bed. "You know there were no signs of any monsters or demons out here. That's the main reason Bobby let us have this camping trip." Kurt rolls his eyes, thinking that this is a game Dean and Sam play and tries to go back to sleep.
"But what about ghosts, Dean?"
"You know this bag is lined with salt, Sam."
"I guess," Sam mutters, rolling over so he's facing away from everyone.
"What would salt even do against ghosts?" Kurt says, laughter evident in his voice. "Do ghosts have a high blood pressure or something?"
"No, stupid." Dean says. "Everyone knows that ghosts are repelled by salt!"
"No, stupid." Kurt says, imitating Dean. "Everyone knows that ghosts aren't real!"
"Nu-uh," Dean says. "Ghosts are real!"
"Are not!"
"Are too! My dad hunts them!"
"No, stupid! Your dad hunts animals, not ghosts."
"No, my dad hunts the supernatural!"
"You can't honestly believe that!"
"I do!" Dean says, getting annoyed. "I went on a hunting trip with him once!"
"If your dad did hunt the supernatural," Kurt says, mocking him "then why would he take you hunting with him? It's too dangerous for a little kid, surely!"
"I'm not a little kid!" Dean protests. "If you don't believe me, you can go ask Bobby!"
"Fine!" Kurt says, climbing out of his sleeping bag. "I will! This is the last chance to take back your lies before Bobby finds out you are a big fat liar!"
Dean just rolls his eyes, and opens the tent for Kurt. "Come, let's see what Bobby says!"
"Fine!" And with that, both Dean and Kurt ran home. After a few seconds, Sam realized he was alone in the tent and ran after them, scared of the monsters that Kurt will soon be educated on.
A/N: Sorry for the late update, but I just cant seem to follow all the grammar rules in this story. So yes, this chapter is very crappy in quality, but I got fed up of trying to fix it and just gave up. So you guys got your update and I got my peace of mind!
And in the beginning of the story, you guys probably thought that Kurt would get attacked by a monster or something. But nah, that was just me playing a trick on you;).
Also, please point out any mistakes and I'll try to fix it!
