Summary: At the beginning she was the only one who can see him. He was her temperamental, stubborn and overprotective ghost half dog demon. Not to mention possessive as well. He has fifty days left. What did it mean? Who is after them and what do they want. "I don't give two hells if I'm dead Kagome. I'll protect you and that's a damn promise," he said.

Disclaimer: I do NOT own Inuyasha!

Izayoi clicked on the button and a flash of light startled the couple, arousing them from their slumber. Their eyelids groggily stayed half closed and open. Kagome pressed her lips together and then let out a small yawn.

"I'm sorry to wake you, you just looked so adorable in each other's arms," Izayoi said, giving them a cheeky smile.

Inuyasha looked at her in disbelief,"Mother."

Izayoi placed her hands on her hips,"Don't mother me mister. Do you know how worried I was when I first heard that you were about to die."

Inuyasha wanted to bury himself in the covers and groaned,"No, but it ain't my fault, hell I didn't know that it was all a trap."

Giving her son a look, one brow arched and her arms now crossed, her foot tapped on the floor. "Language, Inuyasha, language."

"Keh," he crossed his arms arrogantly and turned his head away from her.

"Inuyasha, don't treat your mother that way," Kagome hit his arm playfully, but she moved to much and she winced at the pain from the side of her stomach.

Her half demon sat up slowly and looked at her in concern,"Are you okay?"

She smiled at him and nodded,"I'm alright," but her smile faded and she stared at him seriously,"Now apologize to your mother."

Izayoi chuckled made her way to walk out of the room unnoticed," Looks like things are back to normal again."

One Week Later

"Inuyasha…."

"Not yet woman, you need to learn how to be patient," her half demon said, she could picture him smirking.

They were both released from the hospital, Inuyasha was more than happy to leave with Kagome next to him. Especially not staying any longer as he says "Fucking hospital food sucks," made him content that he no longer stayed a day longer.

"Like you're one to talk," Kagome said, smiling while being led, slightly being pushed forwards.

"Careful, we're going up a few steps," Inuyasha told her.

Kagome had no idea where he was taking her, it felt like a surprise, but it was weird that he had asked her to take the jewel along with her.

"Inuyasha any longer and I'm going to go mad, where are you taking me?" she asked, with a hint of humor in her voice.

"Alright, hold on a moment," she felt him take his hands off her eyes. "Now don't you dare peek."

Kagome nodded and held her breath.

Inuyasha smirked and slowly led her to their destination, finally stopping and turning to her. "Alright, you can open your eyes now."

Eyelids fluttered open and her eyes widened in surprise. "Is this where?" She began to say, turning to look at him.

He nodded and looked at the tree where they were suppose to meet, the biggest and oldest one in the park. Similar to the Goshinboku in Kagome's shrine.

"That's why I asked you to bring the jewel, you said you knew the correct wish," he told her.

Kagome smiled,"Yes, I did then."

Inuyasha smirked and took out something from the fold of his pocket. Kagome nearly blanched when a familiar pink sphere in his hand glowed,"T-The jewel?"

"Keh, 'course woman, what else did you think it was?" He questioned her, taking her hand and placing the jewel in the palm of her hand, smirking at her puzzled face.

"I thought….I thought it was gone when we face Naraku," Kagome muttered, her eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at the Shikon no Tama. Inuyasha shook her head in disagreement,"I found it on your bedside at the hospital while you were asleep, don't know how it got there, but it was there."

He lifted his hand and scratched the back of his head,"So what was the wish you were talking about?" Kagome blinked up at him then her eyes trailed back to the jewel in her hold.

Opening her mouth to retort, she merely smiled, encasing the jewel in her hand as her eyes closed. She silently made her wish.

In a flash of light, the jewel was gone and Inuyasha blinked at the luminous light it shined. "Is it gone?"

Kagome nodded, giving him a kiss on his cheek,"Yes. Finally, it is."

Inuyasha sat on the base of the tree with her in his arms,"Keh, it's about damn time the jewel was out of our lives."

Placing her head on his shoulder, Kagome closed her eyes and sighed in content,"I suppose so. Are you sure you don't remember anything when you were a ghost."

"Not one thing, but don't worry, I'm sure that things won't change," Inuyasha told her, putting his chin over her head and smelling her scent.

"Like you said, not even in death can't separate us, it gives it a whole new term," Kagome said, looking up at him.

"Damn straight," he said, lowering his head to kiss her.

Kagome didn't have to think it, they did have a happy ending in the end of it all.
