The ending begins a new life with a new love.

After BO was destroyed, Haibara developed the cure.

All life around Shinichi was back to the stage, as it was during the time he shrunk. Just Haibara, in fact Shiho was around him as a laurel.

One rainy day, while the two were walking pass the Beika street.

"I LOVE YOU!". Shiho murmured.
The detective heard her evidently.

Shiho confessed her love to shocked Shinichi.

Slowly the truth sinks into Shinichi.
He tells her regretfully that he already loves Ran... And Shiho runs off in tears.

A dreadful emptiness filled Shinichi as he watched her go. He felt as if a part of his soul had been taken away from him... He caught up with Shiho and pulled to a stop, telling her...

"I have realized Shiho...that... I love you!'
