Disclaimer I don't own Lion King just Hakika and Kafil

Chapter 11

Hakika blinked sleepily, hoping to see the faces of the pride. But, all she saw was a thick layer of fog.

"Mother?" she called out, nervously fearful that someone else might hear her pitiful cries. She laid still, trying to make herself invisible for this was the first time she was truly afraid.

"Hush, my daughter." A deep commanding voice gently ordered

Hakika felt her eyes widen, she had not heard that voice since she was a small cub. After a moment a dark brown pelt lion with a slick black mane and stunning green eyes stepped through the fog. He had a regal posture, as he looked upon her with a stern but gentle gaze. Hakika smiled as she slowly rose to her paws, she gasped as the leg that was viciously torn from her body. Had regrown she tested it carefully pressing gently on the paw, then she pressed harder and finally she put her fully weight on the paw. There was no pain, it was perfect with a sudden realization Hakika looked over to her father.

"My time has come?" she asked her voice meek as tears threatened to pour down her face.

"Your spirit has left your body, my dear but your time is long from over." Scar explained gently as he nuzzled the smaller lioness.

"Is Nuka..." she began "is he here with you?" she asked and was answered by a simple nod

"Your brother, your grandmother, your grandfather and even your small nephew has come here to join the Kings and Queens of the past." Scar explained "They are now waiting for you."

"But, the pride mother and brother what of them?" Hakika asked as he father grew impatient

"They will join us when their time has come." Scar said resting a paw upon her shoulder "Now come daughter." Hakika nodded before following her father into the fog where she would forever remain.

"After the death of Zira the two prides that were once enemies joined together and became one pride." Rafiki explained to the young goldish brown cub with a dark brown tuff of mane and dark green eyes.

"What about Hakika did the lioness really live?" The cub asked

"Ah... The princess sired by the King of the shadow lands and born of a Queen struggled to find her place in the pride." Rafiki said smiling as he remembered the lioness "Indeed she lived Prince Kafil and she made it to the resting place of all great lions."

"She sounds amazing." Kafil said happily

"Your lessons are over for today young prince, your mother and father are waiting for you." Rafiki replied as she pointed out the two lions approaching.

The young cub smiled before darting away to where his mother plump with unborn cub and his father who wore a scar over his eye like a banner of victory stood.

"Mom, you should name the cub Hakika." Kafil said once he approached his parents

Rafiki smiled as he watched another cub start his journey in the Pride lands and his life was only beginning.
