A Big Day

"You better take care of my daughter," Loki warned, as he waved his sharp dagger a little to lose to Hades' nose for his liking.

"Or what," Hades asked.

"Or I'll set you on fire for eternity and do any number of embarrassing things to you so you can never return to Olympus again."

"Really? Cause I hate going to Olympus," Hades remarked. "Zeus is always going on about how great he is and it gets tiring after a few hundred years."

"I'll make you sorry if you even think of hurting her."

"Daaaad!" Hela entered the room and protested to her father's treatment of Hades.

"What," Loki said turning to look at his daughter in her white outfit. "I'm just looking out for your safety, after all it's you big day."

"But dad, Hades is only taking me to my martial art's class."

"Oh yah. You're getting you black belt today. That is a big deal!" Loki turned to his daughter and glanced at her gym bag. "Do you have everything? Belt."

"Yes."

"Undergarments?"

"Yes."

"Deodorant, spare clothes, first aid kit, bridal flowers," Loki asked the list coming faster and faster as he continued. Hela kept pace with him

"Yes, yes, yes, yes. Wait what? Dad I'm not getting married. I'm just going to class!"

"You hear that, just to class," Loki snapped turning towards Hades. "If you take her anywhere else I'll set Fenrir on you," Loki threatened.

"Ok, I'll only bring her there and back. I promise."

"See that's all settled," Hela said grapping Hades' arm and dragging him towards the door. "See you in an hour and a half dad. Love you!" They escaped from the house and dashed to Hades' chariot and got in.

"So I guess I shouldn't mention that Fenrir actually like's me should I," Hades asked as he urged the horses into a fast walk.

"Probably not," Hela agreed. "Sorry about putting you through all that. Ever since my mom ran off he's been way over protective. It probably doesn't help that I'm the only girl either. Never mind the fact that I'm the Goddess of the Dead!"

"It was my pleasure," Hades remarked. "But we will need to tell him that we're dating soon."

"How about in a few hundred years," Hela offered leaning over and giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"Well," Hades dawdled, "I guess I can live with that." He grinned back and returned the kiss to her lips.

"Loki watched them from the roof and shook his head in exasperation as they quickly left for Hela's class. He loved riling people up.

"Daddy!"

He groaned as twin howls rose from the backyard along with a high whine. "Boy's how many times have I told you not to pull Fenrir's tail?" He slid off the roof and went to break up the fight.

Author's Note: This was written for my little sister in a slightly AU universe. Here Hela and a lot of the Greek gods are children/teens. This story is set after Ragnarok when everyone is alive again and in a more modern time set, hence the martial art's lesson.
