JERI:
*softly* Yeah, he's one of my closest friends. I thought I lost him forever. Where did you find him?
SORA:
*softly* My partner found while we were exploring the valley.
JERI:
*softly* Partner? As in, a Digimon partner?
SORA:
*soflty* ...Yes. Why?
JERI:
*softly* Then, you must be a Digimon Tamer!
SORA:
*softly* A Digimon what?
JERI:
*softly* Tamer. It's when a human and Digimon form a strong bond through a connection.
SORA:
*softly* Never heard of that term before. Back where I'm from, I'm one of the eight DigiDestined. I was chosen with a partner to defend the Digital World from danger.
JERI:
*softly* Guess two wrongs don't make a right.
SORA:
*softly* Don't you have a Digimon partner?
JERI didn't answer and lightly sobs with her head tilting. SORA looked a tad confused.
SORA:
*softly* Did...something happen to your Digimon?
JERI nods. SORA ponders for a moment and realizes the thought.
SORA:
*softly* Oh...I'm so sorry.
JERI:
*sniffs* It's not your fault. It sometimes feels lonely without a Digimon to protect you.
SORA softly touches JERI's head as JERI looks up.
SORA:
*softly* It's gonna be okay. You're not alone. I'm here to help.
JERI softly smiles and stops crying.
SORA:
*softly* Now, let's start easy. How did you end up in this valley?
JERI:
*sniffs* Well...
BEGIN FLASHBACK.
EXT. SHEER VALLEY - RIVER FIELD
JERI was walking while wearing her hand puppet near the river.
JERI:
(v.o.) I was one of the many Tamers that got separated from my town during an attack. I ended up in this valley where there was no sign of my friends or any Digimon living in the area.
JERI cups one of her hands with water and takes a sip. Her puppet was "drinking" the water like from a bowl.
JERI:
(v.o.) I couldn't figure it out where I was. I always kept my D-Power in hand. But, it never gave me any clue or data about this place. It's like physics was becoming jumbled.
JERI continues walking on the field.
JERI:
(v.o.) Just as things were about to be calmer, a Digimon suddenly burst out of the ground
JERI noticed a worn-out PRAIRIEMON bursting the ground near the water. A scared JERI runs up to it and tries to offer it water from the river.
JERI:
(v.o.) I tried to offer it some water but it whispers something in my ear.
JERI tries listening to the PRAIRIEMON.
PRAIRIEMON:
*weakly* Ple...ase...help...us...
JERI tries to understand the message as two shadows were covering her. JERI turns to the unseen characters and screams. CUT-IN SHOT of her puppet falling to the ground.
JERI:
(v.o.) Two Digimon came out of nowhere and dragged me and the Digimon to the other side of the valley.
INT. SHEER VALLEY - CHIEF's TENT
The two Digimon were revealed to be PONCHOMON and NOHEMON who were holding a strong grip on her arms.
JERI:
(v.o.) I did no know what happen to the poor Digimon. But, I knew this valley didn't look pretty either. They took me to their chief's tent.
The chief was lurking from the shadows.
JERI:
(v.o.) I was being accused for stealing of the native Digimon. I tried to explain but the chief figured out I was an outsider. He then said something so...dark.
PONCHOMON:
What is the proper punishment, o mighty Chief?
?:
...Sentence her to be a sacrifice.
JERI's eyes widen as PONCHOMON and NOHEMON drag her away. EXTREME-CLOSE-UP SHOT of the chief's mouth smiling.
JERI:
(v.o.) I couldn't believe my ears! A sacrifice?! For trespassing without a fair trial?! I became so scared.
END FLASHBACK.
JERI:
Afterwards, they kept me prisoner inside this tent till the ceremony is prepared.
Camera PULLS OUT to reveal SORA trying to untie the rope off of JERI while she is oblivious to the action.
SORA:
That's terrible. I don't what's worse the chief or the Digimon suffering.
JERI:
I have been through tougher situations before, but never like this. I never been this afraid in all of my life. Whatever situation I'm in, I try to remember these words: "Be brave, Jeri. A part of me will always be with you. Remember: you have a lion's heart."
SORA:
A "lion's heart"?
JERI:
It's something my Digimon once told me. Even though I follow his advice, I'm not sure what to do.
SORA:
*off-screen* Don't worry.
JERI:
Hmm?
SORA finally manages to free JERI.
SORA:
We're getting to the bottom of this...*lends out hand* together.
JERI realizes she's free and smiles.
JERI:
Thank you.
SORA and JERI shake hands.
SAGITTARIMON:
*off-screen; muffled* Hey, what's going on in there?!
JERI:
*gasps* The guard!
SORA:
Shh! *whispers* Follow me.
SORA exits through the flap of the tent and JERI follows her out. SAGITTAARIMON enters scene.
SAGITTARIMON:
I told you before to be-
SAGITTARIMON notices JERI is absent in the tent.
SAGITTARIMON:
The sacrifice! She's escaped! I must warn the chief!
SAGITTARIMON exits scene.
EXT. SHEER VALLEY - VILLAGE GROUNDS
SORA and JERI were wearing cloths as disguises while running through the village.
JERI:
Where's your Digimon?
SORA:
She's distracting the guards. If we rendezvous somewhere far, we'll figure out how to get the river flowing.
JERI accidentally tripped on the ground revealing herself to the village Digimon. The Digimon expressed and shrouded themselves in fear. SORA defends her.
SORA:
Please don't be alarmed! We're here to-
PONCHOMON:
*off-screen* What's going on here?!
SORA turns around and PONCHOMON and NOHEMON were behind her.
NOHEMON:
Heh-heh. Looks like we got ourselves an outsider spy.
PONCHOMON:
You two are in big trouble now.
JERI suddenly springs into action by letting her puppet rapidly barking at PONCHOMON and NOHEMON.
PONCHOMON:
Wild animal!
Both Digimon scream in high-pitched voices and hugged themselves in fear.
JERI:
*to her puppet* Good boy.
SORA:
*removes her disguise* Hurry!
SORA and JERI run off.
EXT. SHEER VALLEY - SKYLINE
BIRDRAMON does each barrel to avoid each arrow and attacks from below.
BIRDRAMON:
(I can't keep stalling them like this. Sora needs me!)
BIRDRAMON turns and swoops down below the atmosphere.
EXT. SHEER VALLEY - OUTER GROUNDS
SORA and JERI kept running on the dry grounds miles from the barricaded wall.
SORA:
We're almost there!
BIRDRAMON:
*off-screen* Sora!
SORA notices BIRDRAMON gliding down from the sky.
SORA:
*waves a signal* Birdramon, we're down here!
BIRDRAMON was gliding down in her path towards SORA. JERI then noticed two SAGITTARIMON emerging from the corners of a mountain peak.
JERI:
*calls* Get out of there, now!
BIRDRAMON:
What?
Suddenly, the two SAGITTARIMON manage to attack BIRDRAMON. The arrows hit BIRDRAMON in the wings.
BIRDRAMON:
*screeching pain*
SORA:
Birdramon!
BIRDRAMON falls to the outer reaches of the valley from off-screen. JERI looked scared.
SORA:
No, Birdramon! I'm coming!
A giant tongue suddenly appeared and wrapped SORA and JERI together.
JERI:
Hey!
SORA:
What is this?!
Camera TILTS UP to reveal the tongue came from the CHAMELEMON as it reveals itself from its camouflage.
CHAMELEMON:
Gotcha, you outsiders.
SORA and JERI struggle to break free as the other warrior Digimon enter scene and surround them.
SORA:
Birdramon...!
SCENE DISSOLVES to:
EXT. SHEER VALLEY - CEREMONIAL AREA
SORA and JERI were tied to poles on a bridge-like platform. The entire village of the Armor-level Digimon were present crowding in the scene. SORA was struggling to break free while JERI was depressed.
SORA:
Let us go!
JERI:
It's no use. They're never going to listen.
SORA:
Please! This is all a huge misunderstanding!
JERI:
What's the point? It's all my fault.
SORA:
What?
JERI:
No matter how much I try, I always end up with tougher situations. Is this what defines a "lion's heart" as a joke?
SORA:
Don't say anything ridiculous like that. It's not your fault. It's just that this chief is going too far on this matter.
JERI:
But, how are we suppose to get to the bottom of this now? Without your Digimon, there's no way to protect us from danger. Do you blame yourself for losing your partner?
SORA:
I never do. Biyomon and I are always there for each other. I know my Digimon is alive out there somewhere.
JERI:
Then, what about-
SORA:
Shh!
NOHEMON and PONCHOMON enter scene on the platform and turn to the crowd.
NOHEMON:
*calls out* Our fellow village Digimon...
PONCHOMON:
...please present our brave and noble chief...
NOHEMON & PONCHOMON:
...Baronmon!
The chief BARONMON suddenly appears in scene wearing a bone necklace and a ceremonial headpiece. SORA and JERI eyes widen in confusion. Chief BARONMON turns to SORA and JERI.
BARONMON:
Hmph. It seems that you two don't know the meaning of the term "trespassing".
SORA:
Who are you?
BARONMON:
I am called Baronmon, chief of Sheer Valley.
SORA:
You're the chief?
BARONMON:
Yes. Ever since the brink of disaster, the valley has wilted through lack of water and energy. The Digimon grew tired and feared of danger coming from the outside.
JERI:
But, you don't understand-
BARONMON:
Silence! You understand nothing. These Digimon were looking for a leader to protect them from the forthcoming chaos. So, I've become their Chief and ordered that any outsider that steps foot into our land shall be sacrificed. Once the sacrifice is done, the gods will provide water as salvation.
SORA:
You're stupid! You don't even realize what's really going on!
BARONMON:
I refuse listening to words from an outsider such as yourself. *to JERI* You will be the first to go.
JERI whimpers.
SORA:
Leave her alone!
BARONMON:
Silence! *turns head* Prepare the torches!
Two GARGOYLEMON enter scene with flaming torches. JERI was whimpering and turns to a nervous SORA.
BARONMON:
Any final requests?
JERI was too scared to answer.
BARONMON:
*squints eyes* Well?
JERI was starting to cry. The GARGOYLEMON were about to flame the pole.
SORA:
(off-screen) Wait!
The GARGOYLEMON pause.
BARONMON:
Hmm? *turns to SORA* What?
SORA:
I have a few words to say in her defense.
JERI:
Huh?
BARONMON:
You have no power of authority against me. I am the Chief, I decide the fate of the valley.
SORA:
On the contrary, I have highest of all authority.
The crowd of village Digimon were a tad confused upon hearing the words.
BARONMON:
Then, would you mind telling who you are, then?
SORA:
Gladly. *calls out* Fellow Digimon of Sheer Valley. I wish you no harm. I am Sora...the water-bearing goddess.
The crowd gasps with BARONMON's eyes widen and JERI looking confused for a moment. SORA briefly winks at JERI as JERI immediately realizes and nods in response.
BARONMON:
A goddess? That's mutiny. I see no physical evidence.
SORA:
You are wrong. Behold! *pulls canteen out from her bag and pours a little water*
The crowded been intrigued and became more focused on SORA. BARONMON was extremely surprised and grabs the canteen.
BARONMON:
Where did you find this?! This is impossible!
SORA:
If you return it to me, then I will explain.
BARONMON:
I shall not listen to such foolish words! You are no goddess!
ANGLE ON the crowd.
BUCCHIEMON:
Let the goddess speak!
TOUCANMON:
Yeah, it's clearly water!
BARONMON:
*sputters* You can't be serious! You honestly believe that this outsider is a goddess?!
BUCCHIEMON:
Let her speak!
TOUCANMON:
Let her speak!
CROWD:
*chanting* Speak!
BARONMON became infuriated from the chanting and returns the canteen to SORA.
SORA:
Thank you. *turns to crowd; calls out* I have travelled from far and wide. I've listened to your prayers and provide the answers you seek.
PONCHOMON and NOHEMON were annoyed.
SORA:
*calls out; holds canteen* This is water is from the other side of the valley.
The crowd gasps.
SHEEPMON:
But, that's impossible.
SORA:
*calls out* No, there is bountiful for every one of you. *turns to JERI* This girl is a witness and has provided nourishment from the other side.
BARONMON:
(off-screen) Oh, brother.
BARONMON walks in front of SORA.
BARONMON:
I suppose any of the Digimon wouldn't take defense in your fable.
RABBITMON:
(off-screen) She speaks the truth.
BARONMON:
Hmm?
BARONMON and the crowd turn to RABBITMON.
RABBITMON:
I've met her in the village. I was so weak and thirsty. But, she came to my rescue and provided me with fresh water.
The crowd was muttering with surprise. BARONMON was frustrated by seeing the reaction.
BARONMON:
*sputters* Oh, come on! W-well, what about the other girl? Surely, someone suspects her as a threat!
PRAIRIEMON:
(off-screen) I...I...
BARONMON:
Hmm?
We see the PRAIRIEMON from before struggling to get up its feet.
PRAIRIEMON:
I-I've...met this outsider. She tried...to offer me...w-w-
The crowd leans closer on listening to the PRAIRIEMON.
PRAIRIEMON:
...water. I've discovered water...from the other side.
The crowd gasps and became more surprise in reaction. BARONMON's eyes widen in shock. The crowd turns back to SORA.
PRAIRIEMON #2:
Please goddess Sora, why is there is no water flowing?
SORA:
Because your Chief built a wall that is keeping this side of the valley dry.
BARONMON:
*nervous* No. Please, don't listen to-
SORA:
He is nothing but a power-hungry leader with no remorse for any of you!
The crowd gasps louder.
SORA:
And ask yourself this: Is sacrificing an innocent person seem to be the only solution for water?! How does that make any sense?! How would you feel then?!
Each of the village Digimon showed guilt and regret upon their faces.
JERI:
*smiling with tears* (Sora.)
SORA:
If there was any time for a change, now will the time!
BARONMON:
That's enough! *turns to GARGOYLEMON* Burn them! Burn them to ashes!
The GARGOYLEMON were looking at their torches, then at SORA, then at JERI, and back at the torches.
BARONMON:
Well?!
The GARGOYLEMON pause for a moment and drop their burnt torches.
GARGOYLEMON #1:
No.
BARONMON:
What did you say?!
GARGOYLEMON #1:
We said no.
GARGOYLEMON #2:
We shouldn't listen to the likes of you.
BARONMON was shell-shocked and turns to the crowd. We see the crowd glaring at BARONMON with pride. BARONMON was all nervous and tries to crack a smile.
BUCCHIEMON:
Let them go.
BARONMON still nervously smiles.
TOUCANMON:
Let them go!
CROWD:
*chanting* Let them go!
BARONMON was over-pressured from the chanting. SORA grimaces as the two GARGOYLEMON start untying the ropes off her and JERI. BARONMON suddenly became extremely angry.
BARONMON:
Silence...!
The crowd stopped chanting.
BARONMON:
I am the Chief! I have the highest authority! You listen to only me!
SORA:
Let's get out of-!
PONCHOMON and NOHEMON suddenly grab ahold of SORA and JERI.
JERI:
Put us down!
SORA:
Hey, what gives?!
NOHEMON:
Foolish outsider.
PONCHOMON:
We only follow Baronmon. We only listen to him.
BARONMON angrily turns to SORA and JERI.
BARONMON:
*points to SORA* You! You will be the first to go instead! *summons a knife* Any last words?
SORA looks nervously at the knife pointing at her face.
FX - *screech*
SORA:
*looks up* Huh?
SORA notices something flying towards the village.
SORA:
*gasps; smiles* Birdramon!
BARONMON:
*turns around* Birdra-wha?!
BIRDRAMON:
Meteor Wing! *summons flames from wings*
A scared BARONMON jumps off the platform as the flames hit near PONCHOMON and NOHEMON. PONCHOMON and NOHEMON let go of SORA and JERI as they got burnt in a comical fashion.
PONCHOMON & NOHEMON:
Ow.
SORA:
Birdramon! I knew you're okay!
BIRDRAMON:
It takes more than a wave of arrows to harm a giant bird.
SORA:
Now, to tear down this wall!
BARONMON:
(off-screen) Oh no, you don't!
BARONMON stands and summons a scroll.
BARONMON:
This valley is under my territory!
The group and the crowd stands boldly against him.
JERI:
You're outnumbered.
BARONMON:
Oh, aren't I?
BARONMON opens the scroll with strange symbols imprinted on it. BARONMON presses on the symbols which magically summon an ALLOMON, STEGOMON, LYNXMON and RHINOMON behind him. SORA and JERI were about to get in fighting positions. SAGITTARIMON, CHAMELEMON, SHADRAMON, KANGARUMON and MAILDRAMON suddenly appears near them.
SAGGITARIMON:
We will defend the village against these monsters. You three fly to the wall and break it down.
SORA:
Got it!
BIRDRAMON exits SORA and JERI out of scene.
BARONMON:
Attack!
BARONMON's army starts stampeding towards the village Digimon.
KANGARUMON:
No more cowering! Time to fight!
The villagers starting charging at the army. ALLOMON was approaching one of villagers. KANGARUMON dashes to ALLOMON and rapidly punches its jaw. CHAMELEMON uses its camouflage to sneak up behind ALLOMON and uses its tongue to wrap around its legs. Another group of village Digimon were throwing rocks at a speeding RHINOMON. The RHINOMON uses its horn to knock off each rock in its way. A few SALAMANDEMON spewed lava on the ground. The RHINOMON slipped, burned and crashes to a rock. LYNXMON proceeds a pounce at one group of villagers. But, an ORYXMON counters by ramming it down to the ground. The STEGOMON fire sits spikes at another group of villagers. But, MAILDRAMON deflects them with its wings. MAILDRAMON fires lightning from its head and electrocutes STEGOMON.
ANGLE ON PLATFORM
PONCHOMON and NOHEMON were hiding from the action. BARONMON jumps onto the platform.
PONCHOMON:
What do we do, Chief?!
BARONMON:
*growls* The outsiders are heading for the wall.
NOHEMON:
But, we can't catch them on foot in this size.
BARONMON:
*pulls out pouch* Relax. I've always come prepared.
BARONMON pulls out dust from the dust and sprinkles all over himself. As the villagers took down ALLOMON, they turn to the platform.
SAGITTARIMON:
You're finished!
BARONMON:
On the contrary...
Suddenly, we see the shadow of BARONMON growing in size, covering the valley. All the village Digimon were cowering in fear.
BARONMON:
(off-screen) I'm just getting started!
EXT. SHEER VALLEY - OUTER GROUNDS
We see BIRDRAMON flying SORA and JERI towards the wall in the distance.
JERI:
There's the wall!
SORA:
Burn it down, Birdramon!
BIRDRAMON:
With pleasure. Meteor Wing! *flaps flames from wings*
The flames hit the wall. But, the wall wasn't damaged.
SORA:
The wood's not burning!
BIRDRAMON:
Baronmon must've built this wall more than just wood.
BARONMON:
(off-screen) You are correct.
BIRDRAMON turns around and becomes shocked. We see BARONMON now in gigantic size approaching the grounds.
JERI:
Is that Baronmon?
SORA:
It can't be!
BARONMON:
Now, you will see what happens when you trespass a sacred valley!
PONCHOMON and NOHEMON were hanging onto his cape.
NOHEMON:
Uh, Chief? Why didn't you use some of your dust on us?
POCHOMON:
Yeah, I wanna be huge!
BARONMON:
Sorry. My magic only lmits to one user.
SORA:
Magic?
BARONMON:
That's right. This wall is built under a coat of invulnerable dark magic. It is only vulnerable when my power is weak.
SORA:
Then, we'll cut you down to size! *holds out Digivice* Birdramon?
BIRDRAMON
I'm ready!
SORA's Digivice powers up.
BIRDRAMON:
Birdramon digivolve to...
GARUDAMON:
Garudamon!
GARUDAMON flies towards BARONMON.
BARONMON:
Attack my minions!
BARONMON swings his cape, which flings NOHEMON and PONCHOMON in the air.
PONCHOMON & NOHEMON:
You could have thought this through!
GARUDAMON:
*sarcastic* Hit me with your best shot.
PONCHOMON:
We will be delighted!
NOHEMON takes out a crossbow and fries arrows. PONCHOMON spews fireballs from his mouth. However, the attacks provide minimal damage on GARUDAMON. GARUDAMON smirks.
PONCHOMON & NOHEMON:
Uh-oh.
GARUDAMON grabs ahold of them and holds them close to her face. NOHEMON and PONCHOMON were nervously smiling.
NOHEMON:
*nervous* You know, we were kidding about serving Baronmon earlier.
PONCHOMON:
*nervous* Yeah, we were on your side all along. You believe us, right?
GARUDAMON:
Hmph.
GARUDAMON throws them in the air.
GARUDAMON:
Wing Blade! *fires bird-shaped flame*
The attack hits and destroys them.
BARONMON:
That doesn't amuse me.
GARUDAMON throws various punches but BARONMON blocks each blow. GARUDAMON uses Wing Blade. BARONMON uses his cape to deflect the attack. GARUDAMON dodges the attack and performs a flying kick. GARUDAMON kicks BARONMON in the chest. But, BARONMON grabs and throws her across the valley. SORA and JERI were hanging hard onto GARUDAMON. GARUDAMON flaps her wings to stop the momentum and stands in mid-air.
GARUDAMON:
Sora, it's too dangerous to fight with you two aboard. You must head back to the village and help the Digimon.
SORA:
But, you'll get hurt! I don't wanna lose you again!
GARUDAMON:
Don't worry about me. I'll be fine.
SORA:
But how-
BARONMON:
Meteor Dance! *summons falling meteors*
GARUDAMON punches and kicks off each meteor and lowers near the ground.
GARUDAMON:
Go!
JERI:
Sora, we should-
SORA:
But-
BARONMON:
Storming Knives! *fires daggers from torso*
GARUDAMON:
Jump now!
JERI pulls SORA's hand as they both jump off GARUDAMON. GARUDAMON defends herself as the daggers approach her. The daggers hit and damage GARUDAMON.
SORA:
Garudamon!
GARUDAMON falls to the ground. SORA tries running to her but JERI keeps pulling her back. GARUDAMON struggles to get up. BAARONMON was approaching them. SORA lets go and runs to GARUDAMON.
GARUDAMON:
S-Sora...
SORA:
Don't move, I'm here!
JERI:
Sora, what about the village?
BARONMON:
Don't worry, the village will restore to its proper glory...under my foot.
SORA:
Just stop this right now!
BARONMON:
Never! Now...where were we before I was rudely interrupted?
SORA was angrily defending GARUDAMON while JERI stands in confusion.
BARONMON:
Ah, yes!
BARONMON summons and holds up a giant meteor.
BARONMON:
Any last words?
JERI hears a familiar voice in her head.
LEOMON:
(v.o.) Be brave, Jeri. A part of me will always be with you. Remember: you have a lion's heart.
JERI suddenly felt confidence and stands alongside SORA.
SORA:
Jeri?
JERI:
If you care so much for someone, then don't let fear drive them away. We have to be brave. The village is learning to stand up for themselves. We must do the same.
SORA:
Jeri.
BARONMON:
Touching final words. But, burn to ashes!
BARONMON throws the meteor down towards the group. The group stands in confidence with no fear of their fate. As the meteor was about to hit them, a glimmering light was glowing on JERI's D-Power. The light shines out and and creates a shield that protects the group from the meteor.
JERI:
*noticing the shield* Huh?
BARONMON:
*surprised* What?!
The shield disappears as the light continues shining out of the D-Power. The light then creates a figure in front of the group. The group looks in awe as the light takes a body shape of a Digimon. JERI was more shocked than the others. The light has transformed itself to a glowing light entity of LEOMON.
SORA:
Jeri...is that...?
BARONMON:
*scared* W-what is this?! W-who are you?!
LEOMON:
...I am Leomon.
JERI:
L-l-l...
BARONMON was getting aggravated.
BARONMON:
W-what kind of sorcery did you outsiders pull?!
LEOMON:
I am no illusion.
BARONMON:
You can't be real! You shall be crushed!
BARONMON holds up his foot and attempt to squash LEOMON. JERI became scared as the foot was approaching him. Suddenly, LEOMON grabs hold of the foot.
BARONMON:
What?!
LEOMON:
Don't you dare harm my partner.
JERI was smiling with tears. LEOMON tosses the gigantic BARONMON to the ground. BARONMON gets up.
BARONMON:
This is...unnatural!
LEOMON:
You will not harm another village as long as there's justice.
BARONMON attempts to lunge onto the group.
JERI:
Leomon!
LEOMON jumps in the air and punches BARONMON's face in an uppercut. BARONMON struggles to get back into fighting position.
LEOMON:
*turns to GARUDAMON* His guard is down. Attack now!
GARUDAMON gets back on her feet and flies up alongside LEOMON.
GARUDAMON:
Wing Blade! *fires a flame-shaped bird*
The attack hits BARONMON. LEOMON powers up his fist into maximum power and size.
LEOMON:
Fist of...the Beast King!
LEOMON fires a gigantic lion head-shaped flame towards BARONMON. The impact of the attack hits BARONMON and sends him flying towards the barricaded wall. The group looks in awe. BARONMON was burning in intense damage.
BARONMON:
Ah...!
BARONMON dissolves away as the wall was starting to burn down.
SORA:
All right!
JERI:
Sora, look!
The wall collapses and a wave of the river water starts rushing into the valley. The wave was heading towards the group. GARUDAMON grabs onto the others and flies them up above the water.
GARUDAMON:
The river is flowing!
JERI looks at LEOMON watching from above. JERI was slightly confused yet satisfied at the same time.
EXT. SHEER VALLEY - VILLAGE GROUNDS
The warrior Digimon were helping the villagers emerge from the damage and debris. After a moment, rushing water was heard off-screen. The village Digimon turn around as the water flowing through the dry grounds. The Digimon express excitement and relief and start drinking the flowing water.
SORA and the others enter scene. We see GARUDAMON reverted back to BIYOMON.
BIYOMON:
Sora, everybody looks happy again!
SORA:
Water, water everywhere.
BIYOMON:
Hmm?
SORA:
It's a poem.
JERI was staring at LEOMON. LEOMON smiles upon his reunion with JERI.
LEOMON:
...Jeri.
JERI:
L-Leomon...is it really...?
JERI holds out her hand and attempts to feel him. Her hand went through the light-embodied figure.
JERI:
...I don't understand. I thought you were-
LEOMON:
Yes, I am.
JERI:
But, how did you-
LEOMON:
When time and space has been distorted, I heard your plea through the boundaries. I had trouble to get in contact you since my data was absorbed. But, I managed to reach you through will just in time.
JERI:
Leomon...
LEOMON:
I've noticed you made new friends.
SORA:
It's a pleasure to meet you, Leomon.
BIYOMON:
Yeah, Jeri must be a lucky girl to have a strong Digimon like you.
JERI:
Huh-uh. I can't wait to-
The lower half of the body starts fading away.
JERI:
(gasps) Leomon! What's happening?!
LEOMON:
I have limited amount of time in this form. I am returning to my original time.
JERI:
But...*starts to cry* Leomon...
SORA tries to comfort her but BIYOMON stops her. LEOMON places his hand on JERI's shoulder.
LEOMON:
Jeri...don't cry and listen to my words.
JERI sniffs and listens.
LEOMON:
I know you wanted to spend adventures with me again. But, the laws of time and space will be altered if taken seriously. Believe me, I wish there was a way. No matter what situation you were in, you still have a lion's heart.
We see the village Digimon drinking the water while some were helping others out of the debris.
LEOMON:
(o.s.) You'd never gave up against the harsh conditions the village has suffered. This village was then taught to never give up.
We see SORA and BIYOMON walking up to them.
LEOMON:
(o.s.) You even provided courage and support for your friends against the giant monstrosity.
JERI:
L-Leo-
LEOMON:
Whenever you have a lion's heart, I will always be there for you.
JERI places her hand on her chest and smiles with tears. LEOMON is almost completely fading away.
LEOMON:
Take care, Jeri...
LEOMON disappears and JERI wipes her face.
SORA:
Are you okay, Jeri?
JERI:
...Hmm-hmm.
SORA smiles and places her hand on JERI's shoulder.
BIYOMON:
What about your puppet? How does he feel?
JERI holds up her puppet.
JERI:
*funny voice* I feel like I had a dog-day afternoon.
The group laughs. The village Digimon walk up to the group.
SAGITTARIMON:
We are in deep gratitude for your courageous actions.
JERI:
How are you going to survive without your chief?
CHAMELEMON:
We lost our old chief during the disaster.
MAILDRAMON:
Baronmon then found us and we thought he would help us survive.
SAGITTARIMON:
We became blinded with prejudice and feel guilt for our actions. We now have no leader to guide us.
SORA:
We are sorry for your loss.
JERI:
We'll do whatever it takes to help.

The group and the village Digimon turn around as a shaman-like Digimon enters scene.
SPEIKMON:
This village is in care for one ruler.
SAGITTARIMON:
Chief Speikmon! *bows* You've returned!
All the other Digimon bow.
SORA:
Wait, you're the chief of this village?
SPEIKMON:
Yes. I could tell this village was under complete misdirection.
SAGITTARIMON:
Yes, but these outsiders have helped us bring back the flowing water.
SPEIKMON:
Of course they helped, I foresaw the event during my absence.
BIYOMON:
You can predict the future?
SPEIKMON:
Yes. I predicted there would be a hope if I didn't make it on time.
JERI:
How did you find your way back?
SPEIKMON:
A giant Digimon guided me the way which should be here right...now.
Suddenly, we hear loud stomps and familiar voices.
?:
(o.s) Oy! There's the water supply!
?:
(o.s) I thought I was going to drink sand through a straw.
EBONWUMON enters scene.
SPEIKMON:
Help yourself, o great Digimon Sovereign.
SORA:
Sovereign?
BIYOMON:
Sora, look up there!
The group looks up and sees YOLEI, KEENAN, HAWKMON and FALCOMON waving from above EBONWUMON.
YOLEI:
Hey, Sora!
KEENAN:
Need lift?
SORA smiles.
SCENE DISSOLVES.
EXT. SHEER VALLEY - OUTER GROUNDS
We see BIYOMON flying JERI flying up onto EBONWUMON's tree.
EBONWUMON (1st HEAD):
Ah, that was a refreshing sip.
EBONWUMON (2nd HEAD):
Hurry up, lass. Clock's a tickin'.
SORA was standing near SPEIKMON and the village Digimon.
SORA:
Are you all sure that you're going to be alright?
SPEIKMON:
Yes. Thanks to your actions, this village is free and will continue to grow among circumstances.
SORA:
Glad to hear it. Before I go, I ask of a request?
SPEIKMON:
Request?
SORA:
Well, I was separated from my friends and since you predict the future...
SPEIKMON:
Say no more. I will foresee the fate of your journey.
SORA:
Oh, thank you.
SPEIKMON holds SORA's hand and closes his eyes. After a moment, his eyes were squinting and feels pressured with sweat dripping on his mask. SPEIKMON open his eyes afterwards.
SORA:
Well?
SPEIKMON:
...You and your friends will be safe.
SORA:
That's great! I'm ready to go!
BIYOMON flies SORA up to EBONWUMON.
SPEIKMON:
(...If you survive, that is.)
EBONWUMON starts exiting scene.
KEENAN:
(off-screen) Why is dead animal on girl's hand?
HAWKMON:
(off-screen) It's not a dead animal. It's a puppet.
KEENAN:
(off-screen) Puppetmon back?! Where he go?!
