The Color Pink
Chapter Six

"That's it, we're tellin' 'em today."

"Eh?"

It had been several days since Gajeel's return from his mission with Levy, and after crashing at Juvia's place every night with clear signs that she wouldn't do it herself... The Iron Dragon Slayer finally went on the move.

Juvia was in the kitchen. She had just gotten out of the shower, and feeling refreshed and clean in her lounge clothes she set to making lunch. Gajeel was sitting on her dining table, but even though his mannerisms were rude, she couldn't bring herself to reprimand him. Not after how supportive her was of their current situation. "So what does Gajeel-kun want for lunch?"

"That's it, we're tellin' 'em today."

The blunette's eyes opened from a cheery closed eyed disposition to wide. "Eh?"

Gajeel gave his 'baby mama' a look that pretty much said 'We ain't avoidin' it'. "We're tellin' the Guild today, so get dressed Vi." That was a nickname Gajeel gave Juvia during their days working at Phantom Lord, which he had used about a total of four to five times.

"Juvia does not wish to tell the Guild." Juvia looked away from Gajeel and directed her gaze out her kitchen window. "She isn't ready yet." And she does not yet want to see Gray-sama. She added that part mentally.

"Well you can't keep puttin' it off!" Gajeel protested, his voice raising slightly but his crimson eyes were soft. He didn't want to push her to do anything she didn't really want to do, but at the same time... "Fairy Tail's our guild isn't it?" The blunette nodded, her dark blue eyes giving Gajeel is a suspicious look. "And they taught us about nakama and how to trust others, and if we really do trust them, we gotta tell them. They're gonna figure out later anyway." He added the last part for a hopeful measure. And it was true, she was going to get a lot bigger than the size she was currently at sooner or later and their nine month secret would be exposed.

"Gajeel-jun..." Juvia looked down at her hands. Her fellow guild member was right, but at the same time, that was the very reason she didn't want to say anything for a long time in the first place. Ever since she joined Fairy Tail, she made a lot of friends and Levy McGarden had become one of them. "Juvia thinks that we should still wait."

The raven-haired man sighed, but he didn't say anything else.

A pang of guilt surged through Juvia's heart seeing the look on his face. It wasn't disappointment, but it wasn't the opposite of disappointment either. "It's just Juvia just wants to wait a little while before she does anything." She screwed the lid of the peanut butter back on tightly then sat it back down on the counter. "She wants to tell them, but Juvia is scared of what could happen in the future." Would Levy go on a rampage? Or would she react happily and wouldn't mind if Gajeel had a child with another woman?

That was when she felt a large head clamp onto her head and Juvia looked up to see Gajeel looming over her. "If it's about how the others are gonna react, don't worry about it." He then gave her a toothy grin. "I'll give 'em all a good punch in the face if they say anythin' bad!"

Juvia felt a giggle erupt from her throat, "Gajeel-kun you can't punch everyone in the Guild!"

Besides, knowing the wizards of Fairy Tail that would cause a Guild-size fight to bloom and then Juvia would spend the rest of her time trying to dodge chairs.

"Fine but I still wanna punch the stripper." Gajeel crossed his arms and grumbled, looking miffed he had to stay mild-mannered.

The shorter wizard shook her head though, "That's alright, Gajeel-kun doesn't need to punch Gray-sam, Gray-san." She stopped herself from saying her usual habit. "I'm sure he would be happy for us." She forced a smile onto her face. "Are you ready for lunch?"

The Iron Dragon Slayer nodded and grabbed a plate. "Thanks fer the meal."

"No problem, Gajeel-kun."

They both took a seat at the dinner table after they got other essentials they would need to eat. This had been a ritual for the last few days since Gajeel returned from his mission. Juvia would make something delicious for them to eat and then they would sit together at the table and eat, chatting about various topics from baby clothes to who's magic the baby would end up having. Juvia hoped that their little Junior would have Water Magic. She would love to teach her future child all the spells she had and show him/her everything about the world. And of course there would be Gajeel-kun there to help her, and she could tell that Gajeel would be a great father. Maybe a bit rough since he was awkward with things such as being affectionate, but he would be protective nonetheless.

Gajeel took ravenous bites from his sandwich, "So ya think up of any names yet?"

Much to his surprise, Juvia shook her head. "Juvia actually hasn't been able to think of anything yet." The blunette admitted sheepishly. "Does Gajeel-kun have anything in mind?"

"Err, Rockie?"

Cue the awkward silence.

"No." Juvia said firmly.

"But you asked-"

"We are not naming our child 'Rockie'!" Juvia protested firmly, her eyes were wide in disbelief. Who on earthland would actually think 'Rockie' was a good name for a baby. He/She would be made fun of! "Geez, Gajeel-kun you are horrible at naming things." Sorry, sweetie you aren't a thing. Juvia placed a hand on her stomach apologetically.

A light flush of embarrassment spread across Gajeel's tan and studded face, "Fine then you come up with name's for the kid," his tone was teasing and harmless," after all I'mma be way too busy comin' up with new killer techniques to show 'im when he finally can use Iron Dragon Slaying Magic." He looked pleased at the thought.

Juvia laughed and teased in a playful tone of her own, "Doesn't Gajeel-kun mean he'll be busy finding Juvia books on Water Magic?"

And all throughout lunch, the two wizards continued their playful banter, the blue-haired girl a lot more cheerful than she was when she was making it. It's kind of like Gajeel-kun and Juvia really are family. Juvia noted with a smile, but she stopped pondering on it the moment another name came out Gajeel's mouth. This time it was Metajeel.

"I'm beginning to worry about Juvia."

Lucy Heartfilia jumped slightly in her seat.

It was quiet in the Fairy Tail guild, which was a rare sight. But they had all just got done having another playful row of fighting, and once again Makarov went on a long rant of how they were all destroying the Guild. So now they were all stuck cleaning the mess, grumbling to themselves. Which was when Erza Scarlet, the strongest female wizard of Fairy Tail and one of the prettiest, had mentioned a name that was somewhat taboo for Lucy to mention.

The blonde Celestial Spirit Wizard looked at the red-head nervously. "Oh I'm sure Juvia's fine, Erza." She said with a shaky laugh. "I just saw her the other day and she was peachy keen!"

But all that did was sharpen Erza's glare by a fraction, "Oh?"

"Yeah," Lucy nodded as she spoke. "She just said she wanted a break from missions is all."

"It's just strange that she wouldn't stop by for so long though," Mirajane was the one who spoke this time, her blue eyes shining with worry.

Oh crap I don't know if I can keep this up for long! Lucy put a hand up, not really knowing what to do with it. "Well she wasn't by the Guild this time, she was actually in the market place!" After Fairy Tail had to relocate to a different part of Magnolia, the distance between it and the market place had increased. It was an inconvenience considering how close the Guild Hall had been to it, but it couldn't be helped.

Erza crossed her armored arms, "But her apartment is by the Guild." She gave Lucy a hard and suspicious glare. "You're sure she's alright?"

"I'm sure!" Lucy's brown eyes looked away from Erza's not bearing to look at them any longer. "I even visited her at her apartment!"

Juvia was alright, she was just...

Pregnant.

And it was none of Lucy's business to go around talking about the mother of her future godchild new situation. They both felt guilty. And it was because of who the father was. Had it been someone else, Lucy honestly didn't think Juvia would have as much of a problem with it. It wouldn't have even mattered if the father was a member of the Guild! And he was, but he was also the crush of another blunette in the Guild.

It was Gajeel Redfox, and the last thing Juvia, Lucy herself, wanted was for Levy to find out that Juvia had been impregnated by him all because they had to much too drink on Cana's birthday.

So Lucy promised not to say anything and Juvia stayed cleared of the Guild, Gajeel still stopped by though.

A small hand resting on Lucy's shoulder brought her out of her train of thoughts. It was Levy. "Oh, hey Levy-chan." Lucy smiled at her best friend, but it was forced. How can I call myself her best friend?!

Levy's hazel eyes shone with concern. "Are you alright, Lu-chan?"

"Yeah, I'm just thinking about Juvia is all."

The short bookworm nodded in agreement as she took a seat next to the blonde wizard. "Me too," she said. "But you said she was fine right? So maybe she'll come and visit soon!" Her voice was optimistic, full of genuine worry for her fellow guild mate and friend.

That just made Lucy feel even guiltier. "Yeah..."

It was quiet for a moment, but that was when Erza's booming voice echoed across the Guild Hall. "Listen up everyone, Juvia is our nakama and she hasn't stopped by in over a month!" The Titantia was standing on a bar stool, hands on her hips. "So we are going to go and visit her apartment!"

Mirajane looked up at her friend and use-to-be rival with a giggle, "I don't think the entire Guild can fit inside her apartment, Erza."

"Well, I suppose I'll be taking everyone in handfuls." Erza said, looking thoughtful. "Very well, Gray, Natsu, Happy, Wendy, Carla, Levy, and Gajeel! You will come with me to visit Juvia! Lucy, since you know where her apartment is, you'll be leading the way! After getting there, we will then bring Juvia to the Guild and then everyone can see her!"

Lucy felt her blood run cold. Right next to her, Levy said something but Lucy didn't hear her. She then heard Natsu say something which sounded like a complaint.

"But Gajeel isn't even here and why do I have to go?!"

"Because I said though." Erza replied strongly before looking at Lucy promptly. "Go ahead Lucy, lead the way."

The blonde tried to protest, "Erm, I don't think Juvia would appreciate it if we all just showed up unannounced," Lucy placed her hands up in an effort to calm Erza's excitement. But it was all in vain and it was clear that nothing would change the red-headed woman's mind.

Oh no...

AUTHOR DRAGON's... UPDATE! (But I apologize that the chapter was so short though!)

Happy New Years to you all and I'm sorry for how long it took. I planned on updating earlier but because of Writer's Block and a loss of internet connection, I couldn't get the chapter out. But thankfully I was able to get internet recently and because of that I got to work on the chapter and present it to all of you. I hope you guys aren't too upset with me!

Once again, I gave you some fluff and hopefully no one too OOC if at all. If anyone seems OOC let me know, I just figured that it was possible for Gajeel and Juvia to playfully banter over things like baby names and the kind of magic their kid could have in the future. After all, they've already came to term with Juvia's being pregnant. And if you're curious, I've already thought up of a name and its unisex since I haven't thought up a gender yet. The next milestone however, Juvia breaking down her pregnancy to the Guilds since she's nervous to see how Levy will take it and that will all finally be covered in... the next chapter!
