Hello, guys! It's me again! Sorry for not updating or giving signs of life in a long time...but I'm back :)

Don't expect regular updates, but I'll try my best to separate some time for writing.

Ok, I'm going to do a chapter for the second year and another one for the third year, then I'll continue as usual with the next years. Sounds good?

I really hope you like it, Enjoy!

SECOND YEAR

Summers were always fantastic in France. The sun was always shinning and the sky was always blue. The Black family owned a very elegant and large two store cottage in one of the most isolated, yet beautiful beaches in the country. The cottage had a wide backyard with a colourful garden and a large patch of grass that gradually changed into fine, almost white sand and stopped a couple of hundred meters from the seashore.

Usually the large patch of grass was transformed into a Quidditch pitch but, by Tom's insistence, it was transformed into something else.

A freaking large obstacle course.

"I hate Tom" Potter mumbled under her breath as she ran along to course until she reached a set of tires. "I-hate-this-bloody-obstacle-course" the girl hopped from tire to tire and then, she began escalating a climb wall.

The first time she tried to do the course, she could barely make it to the half, but after almost six weeks of training four hours every day, Lily could keep going for several laps. It was becoming kind of easy, actually. Despite this, the heat was as bad as always. Her tank top was damp with sweat and her face was flushed from the sun.

"Less complaining and more training!" Riddle scolded her from his lounge chair, where he was reading a book and distractedly sipping a cold drink.

"Well, how about we change places!" Lily yelled at him just before grabbing a rope at the top of the climb wall and swinging a cross a small pond. "Me in that lounge chair and you in this course!"

"Mmm," Tom seemed to think about it for a couple of seconds. "No, ha!" The man lowered his book to show his smile at the now cursing girl. "How about we step up your training?"

The black haired girl stopped on her tracks and looked at him in dead in the eye "How about no." She said with a blank voice.

Riddle seemed to ignore her. "Maybe I should…no, no, too easy. What about… ha, that's it!" the man waved his wand and at least ten floating bullseyes appeared around the whole track. "Now you have to shoot flares at the bullseyes while you run," He watched with a wicked grin as the brat groaned in frustration. "But for now, you can take a small break."

"FINNALLY!" Lily exclaimed at the sky before running towards Tom, who had conjured another lounge chair and a cold lemonade. "Thanks."

"Hn,"

Both Slytherins sat in silence for a couple of minutes, Tom reading and Lily staring at the beautiful sight offered by the sea.

"Summer vacations are almost over," the girl stated with a pensive expression. "Do you know who our new HoM teacher is?"

"Yes," he answered, his eyes never leaving his book.

Lily rolled her eyes. "And?" She pressed on.

"You don't want to know."

It was the third morning of classes at Hogwarts. The Slytherin second year girls sat at their table, their stomachs roaring with hunger as they waited for the boys to have breakfast together. It was kind of a tradition Daphne started towards the end of their first year, when she insisted that they were divided in little groups and did not interact with one another.

As the girls waited, they started a very heated discussion about the hot topic of the week, and probably the rest of the year: Professor Lockhart.

"I cannot believe Dumbledore hired him as our new HoM teacher!" Lily spat with disgust "What is he going to teach us? How to curl our lashes?"

"Don't be like that, Lily." Daphne reprimanded the girl. "He has done many incredible feats and I'm sure he is a very knowledgeable man, besides he has earned many titles and awar-"

"Daphne," Lily interrupted the blond girl with a very serious expression "In the two hours of class we had with him yesterday, he has only taught us three things: that his favourite colour is lilac, that pixies are bloody annoying, and that he is completely useless. Accept it. Lockhart is a fraud."

Millicent Bullstrode hummed in agreement. "He may be a fraud," she started with a sly smile. "But he is a hot fraud."

Daphne stared at Lockhart with a lovesick smile, receiving a wink from said teacher. "A very, VERY hot fraud." She sighed.

Lily let out a tiny frustrated scream and threw her hands up in the air. "Come on, girls! He is not THAT hot!"

Pansy glanced at the Professor's table. "Mmm, true…" The Parkinson heir conceded.

"THANK YOU!" Lily exclaimed with relief.

"Professor Riddle is much better." Pansy stated with a nod, her lips quirked up in a wicked smile.

A few seconds passed in silence before Potter exploded. "WHAT?!" She yelled, turning many heads her way. The black haired girl blushed at the unwanted attention, but continued speaking. "You have got to be kidding me!" she whispered.

"Not at all." Pansy answered as she checked her nails. "He is the most wanted man in Hogwarts."

"No way!" Lily said with a dumbstruck expression.

"Yes way!" the other three girls replied in unison.

"Bu-but he does not have fangirls and stuff!"

Daphne snorted in a very unlady-like way. "Of course he does, but not many are crazy enough to make a move."

"And the ones crazy enough are completely ignored." Pansy added. "The only student he interacts outside class is you. Why do you think some girls glare at you in the hallways?"

"Because I supposedly betrayed the Light side when I got sorted in Slytherin?"

Daphne raised one of her perfectly defined eyebrows while Pansy shook her head. "Because he notices you." Parkinson answered.

"Well, he has to." Lily said, furrowing her brows. "We live together and he trains me. It would be incredibly rude of him to just ignore me!"

Millicent rolled her eyes. "Just turn around and look at him. Then you can tell us if he is hot or not."

The green eyed girl gulped and turned around, focussing on their DADA Professor's face. His skin was perfect and pale, with a slight tan that he had obtained during their summer trip to France. His eyebrows were tick but not extremely so and gave him a strong and determined look, they framed his heavy lidded eyes perfectly. Tom's eyes were a beautiful hazel tone, with a deep brown colour surrounding the pupil that softly changed to a light green. His high cheekbones and straight nose enhanced his sharp and aristocratic features. Oh, and his lips! They were so full and red, making them look so inviting and sexy and…WHAT?

Lily's expression turned into one of horror. "Holy shit." she cursed in a soft whisper. "He is fucking hot."

The girl kept staring at the man, very shocked due to the sudden discovery. Riddle noticed her staring and looked her way, raising an eyebrow in a questioning manner. Lily gasped when she got caught and turned around so fast she almost flipped her goblet. She could feel her cheeks heating up.

Pansy giggled. "Do you hear that, Millie, Daphne?" she sighed in a dreamily way. "It's the sound of someone developing a crush!"

The three second years laughed as Lily's blushed even harder, her whole face turning red. "Oh, shut up! I will never like him that way. He's like my uncle!"

"A very sexy uncle. " Millicent stated with a smile. Bullstrode was promptly smacked in the head by Lily.

The teasing continued for a few minutes, until the boys finally arrived at the table and the topic of conversation changed.

Lily ate her breakfast slowly, immersed in her thoughts. 'That's ridiculous! Me, liking Tom? Ha! It will never happen!" the girl glanced at the Professor's table and bit her lower lip. "Right?'

Theodore Nott knew something bad was going to happen during this 'Duelling club' meeting, not only because it was run by Lockhart, but also because he had this weird gut feeling. Theo was a guy who guided his actions with logic; he did not usually get this 'gut feelings' like his friends did, but when he got them they were usually right. That's why he was not surprised when Lily and Weasley were the ones chosen to demonstrate a duel.

"Remember, children! Disarming spells only!" Lockhart exclaimed with glee.

Nott rolled his eyes 'Yeah, right.'

"Anything to say, Professor Snape?" the stoic man shook his head, not granting Lockhart a verbal answer. "Well, then! At the count of three!"

"One," Lily and Ron adopted the standard duelling pose.

"Two," they raised their wands, pointing them at each other.

"Three! Begin!"

Spells flew from the tips of their wands almost instantly.

"Tarantallegra!" Ron exclaimed, aiming for Lily's chest.

"Protego." The girl said, a bright dome-like shield appearing from the tip of her wand. After last year's fiasco Tom and Sirius drilled into her head all kind of defensive spells, and some offensive ones too, during summer.

Ron's 'Tarantallegra' bounced on the shield and flew back at him, hitting him square in the chest. A second later, Weasley's legs began moving uncontrollably as if they were dancing a very fast and complicated dance.

The whole class started laughing.

Lockhart let out a few chuckles. "Well done, Ms. Potter! An incredible example of the shield charm! Twenty points to Slytherin!" the man clapped his hands vigorously, before pointing his wand at Ronald. "Finite incantatem!" The red haired boy stopped dancing.

"Detention, Mr. Weasley" Professor Snape said, his voice so cold it could freeze water. "The rules said disarming spells only."

"There, there, Professor Snape! Don't be so hard with him." The purple robbed man said with a flashing smile. He patted Ron's back once. "Let's give it another try, this time only using disarming spells, okay?" Ronald nodded, his face so red it almost matched his hair.

The HoM teacher cleared his throat. "At the count of three!" The man warned.

"One,"

"Serpensortia!" the boy yelled and a thin but long, black snake came out of Ronald's wand.

All the students screamed in panic and backed away from the platform. Theodore shared a worried look with Draco, who was standing next to him. What a great day for Professor Riddle to have a Wizengamot session!

"Step away, Potter." Snape instructed, and tried to push the girl backwards. "I will take care of the snake."

"Nonsense! I will do it!" Lockhart pointed his wand at the reptile and did a flourish movement. Instead of banishing it, the snake flew five feet into the air before landing in the middle of the platform. It started hissing threating at everyone.

"Who dares to bother my slumber and then treat me this way? The insolence!" The long snake hissed, moving its head from side to side to eye the students. "Was it you?" the reptile stopped in front of a Huffelpuff. "I will kill you!" The snake got ready to attack, opening its mouth to show its poisonous fangs.

"Don't do it, don't do it..." The Nott heir chanted under his breath.

"Stop!" Lily pushed Snape's arm away and got closer to the snake, kneeling in front of it. "Please do not harm him!"

"And she did it." Draco said, while Theo sighed in resignation. Riddle was going to kill her.

The room went deadly silent and several gasped when the snake actually listened to the girl and dropped its attack pose. "A speaker? I have not seen a speaker in decades!" The snake slithered towards the girl. "I am honoured to meet you. Did you summon me, speaker?"

"No. I did not summon you, handsome." Lily extended her arm for the snake to climb. "It was the boy over there," she pointed at Weasley, whose face lost every colour when the snake showed him his fangs and hissed. "My name is Lily. What are your species and name? I would say you are a male Black Mamba but your scales are different..."

"I am closely related to the Black Mambas, but I am a magical breed." The snake placed itself around her shoulders. "As for my name, it is Ikemba."

"A strong name for a strong snake, very fitting." Potter scratched his chin, smiling. "I am very sorry you were summoned here. I will do my best to return you home, but meanwhile," Lily connected her eyes with Vasuki. "promise me you will not harm anyone in the castle."

Vasuki nodded once in agreement. "You have my word, speaker."

Potter smiled at the snake one last time before returning her attention towards Weasley. "What is wrong with you?!" the black haired girl yelled at Ronald, a frown prominent on her face. "You could have hurt someone, you asshole!"

The silence across the room was deafening. Theodore groaned and made a regressive countdown inside his head. 'Three, two, one…'

Lily's eyes widened almost comically, her mouth falling open in shock. "Crap!"

Theodore felt the sudden urge to face-palm.

Lily Potter was sitting in the fluffy dark green carpet in front of the fireplace. She had her potions book on her lap, next to her were a couple of muggle highlighters and a bunch of post-its. Ever since she had gotten a very nice and round O in potions last year, Snape had been more demanding with her work. He did not want a good potion or essay, the bloody man wanted perfection. .

"The Sleeping Draught is a potion that causes the drinker to fall almost instantaneously into a deep but temporary sleep." Lily muttered under her breath, "The Flobberworm Mucus helps to thicken the potion and the valerian sprigs are the ones that induce the sleep, while the…"

A loud snore made her lose focus.

The girl glanced towards the source of the noise. It was Theo. Lily rolled her eyes and returned to work. After the 'Duelling club incident' Riddle had been ridiculously angry at the three of them, even though it was all her fault. That's why he forced the two boys to join the Work out club every morning and well, they were still getting used to intensive training.

There was another snore. This time it came from Draco, who was leaning against Theo, the blond boy's head resting on the Nott heir's shoulder.

Lily stared at her best friends for a few moments, a faint smile appearing on her lips. Today's training had been rougher than expected and even tough Draco and Theo had managed to continue with the day as usual, the sleepiness that came after lunch was too much for them.

Suddenly, something hit her in the head. "What the-?" Potter looked up, floating in front of her was a paper plane. She stared at it for a few seconds before it hit her again. "Alright, alright!" Lily grabbed the offending piece of paper and unfolded it.

'The second floor girl's bathroom. Now.' the message said. It was not signed but she could recognise that neat handwriting anywhere.

The second year girl groaned. What did Tom want this time? And what's up with the meeting place?

With a resigned sigh, the girl grabbed a post-it note; 'Duty called! I'll be late for dinner!' she wrote on it and stuck it on Theo's forehead. Then, she snapped her fingers and all her stuff ordered itself and began floating away, towards her dorm.

Lily left the Common Room, with her destination in mind: the girl's bathroom.

Riddle could literally feel his stress levels escalating with each passing second. Maybe showing the brat the Chamber was a bad idea, it was his most warded secret after all. Could he really trust her? What if things go south and the girl ends up terrified? What guarantee did he have that she would not rat on the Chamber to her friends, guardians, or Merlin save him, Dumbledore? Dear Lord, what if…?

The man's thoughts were interrupted by a very familiar voice. "Tom?" It was Potter, obviously. The girl was standing in the doorway, still wearing her school uniform.

"Finally!" Tom exclaimed and waved her in. "What took you so long, Potter?" the man scolded her, using his grouchiness to hide the emotional turmoil inside his head

Lily rolled her eyes. "It's been five minutes, Tom. Not everyone can apparate you know?" she said, her tone slightly exasperated.

"Shush, brat." Riddle silenced her. The girl was about to open her mouth to protest but was interrupted when Tom continued speaking. "I want to show you something."

Potter stared at him for a couple of seconds, looking unsure. "Uhm, and you had to bring me here to show me? Wait! Is it illegal?" the girl asked, her intense green eyes widening.

"Of course not, you silly girl!" Riddle rolled his eyes and gave her a pointed look. Lily rubbed the back of her neck and smiled, feeling a little embarrassed.

"Well, then. What is it?"

Tom ignored her and pointed his wand towards the entrance, putting a notice-me-not charm around the area and sealing the door. Then, he turned around to face the girl.

Her smile dropped at the sight of his face. It was blank, void of all emotion. "Tom?" She called him, her voice wavering a little.

Her only response was silence. Riddle walked towards her and crouched, leaving them face to face. "Do you trust me?"

"With my life." She answered in a heartbeat.

They shared eye contact for a moment. Riddle nodded. "You can't tell anyone about this." He warned her. "Not Sirius, not Remus, not even your little friends. At least until I say you can."

"I can keep my secrets just fine, thank you." she replied with a teasing smile.

Riddle narrowed his eyes at her cockiness, but snorted nevertheless. "Very well." The man stood in front of one of the sinks, the one with a little snake engraved on its tap.

Lily raised an eyebrow, silently questioning what he was doing. Riddle stared at her and smiled. "Open."

The sink started shaking and levitated until it reached the ceiling, revealing a rather large pipe. Potter could not help but to gape. "Holy shit!" She walked closer to the pipe and grabbed Tom´s sleeve. "What the hell is this? A secret hiding place or something?"

"Very close," Lord Slytherin praised the girl, resting a hand at the top of her head. "It's actually the Chamber of Secrets."

The man watched in amusement as Lily processed the information in her head. "No-freaking-way!" Potter bounced up and down in excitement and Riddle could swear that her eyes sparkled. "Oh my God, Tom! Are you serious?! THE Chamber of Secrets?" the girl squealed and hugged his arm, before pushing herself away from him. "And you didn't tell me before?!" she yelled at him.

Tom gave her a pointed look. "Do you want to go inside or not?"

"Do you even have to ask?" she replied with a gigantic grin.

Lily Potter did not hate anyone -Voldy being the only exception- but Ronald Weasley was cutting it very close. He was so irritating, with all of his nagging and insulting and his damned false accusations. He just kept going and going and going and going… until she punched him in the nose right in the middle of the HoM class.

And now there she was, sitting next to the most annoying boy in the world, serving a five hour detention with Lockhart. Worst of all, their task was to answer his fanmail of the month. Almost three hundred letters, a hundred and fifty for each of them. Four hours later, the last Potter was more than ready to get the hell out of there. Her ass was hurting, her hand was hurting and worst of all, she was missing a Quidditch training session! Flint was going to murder her.

Thankfully, she only had a couple of letters left. "I'm almost done," she informed Weasley, who grunted in response. "How are you doing?"

A very desperate groan answered her. Lily glanced at his pile and whistled, the boy had at least twenty letters left. "Shut up, Potter!" Ronald exclaimed, glaring at her. "I bet you had a lot of practice answering your own fanmail."

Fighting the urge to roll her eyes, the girl sighed. "I don't get to read those anymore, ever since one of them almost blew up in my face." Weasley gaped at her before staring at his pile of letters with distrust. Potter snorted. "Don't worry, Lockhart is not stupid enough to give us something dangerous."

He stared at her, his face blank. "It's Lockhart."

A heartbeat later, they both shared horrified expressions before breaking into laughter. They laughed and laughed for long minutes until they finally calmed down.

"Merlin!" Lily exclaimed, her face still flushed from all the laughing. "That was so good!"

Her response was a small, awkward smile. "Yeah," he breathed deeply. "You are not so bad, Potter."

"Neither are you, Weasley." Lily replied with smile of her own. "Here," she extended her hand. Ron stared at her limb with confusion. The girl rolled her eyes. "Give me some of your letters. That way we can finish faster."

The second youngest Weasley gave her a weird look, before doing as requested. "Thanks."

"You are welcome."

Half an hour later, they were done but Lockhart was nowhere to be found.

"We should knock on his door or something." Ron suggested with a shrug. "I bet he fell asleep, or maybe even died, who knows."

Potter gave him an exasperated look. "I don't think we are so lucky." She smiled. "But knocking the door is a good idea. Let's go!"

They walked towards the door, it was not entirely closed. "Huh, maybe we won't have to knock after all." Lily pointed out, her hand reaching towards the door to push it open.

Weasley grabbed her arm. "Are you insane!?" he whispered furiously. "He may be an idiot but is still a Professor! I knew you were…"

Lily stared into the open slit. "Shh!" she shushed him. Ron opened his mouth to reply something but the girl covered it with her hand. "Shh! I can hear something!"

Slapping Lily's hand away from his mouth, Ronald leaned closed to the door. It was true. They could hear Lockhart talking to someone, but the sound was kind of muffled.

"Oh, Amanda! I am so pleased to hear the book is already a best-seller!" Lockhart exclaimed, his irritating voice dripping with joy. "It was only published yesterday! What? They want another one? Already? Oh, don't worry, my angel. As soon as I leave Hogwarts I will find another idiot with a good story, and boom! Another best-seller."

Lily and Ronald gaped at each other and tried to get closed to listen better, but Ron lost his balance and tripped forward, dragging Lily with him.

They fell on Lockhart's carpeted floor with a loud 'Thud!' The man lifted his head from the fireplace and stared at them in surprise. "What are you doing here?!"

Lily stood up fast as a flash. "Ehh… we wanted to let you know that we finished, sir, but then I tripped and since the door was a little open we fell in. Isn't that right, Ronald?" The boy, who was still sitting on the floor, nodded. "Can we go now, sir?"

Her question was answered by the door being magically closed.

Lockhart gave them a wicked smile. "I am sorry, my children." the HoM teacher started talking. "I'm not sure if you heard everything or nothing at all! But letting you go is too risky."

"Please, we will not say anything!" Ronald promised, his voice higher than usual.

"Yeah!" Lily was quick to agree. "Besides, everyone already knows that you are a fraud…Ow!" Ron stomped on her foot.

Clicking his tongue, the man narrowed his eyes. "And I thought that you would be smarter than that, Miss Potter." He started walking towards the girl. "That you would understand. Everything I do it's not only for me, but also for the Wizarding World. They are like sheep and they need a shepherd to guide them. We are the shepherds, Miss Potter. Us and the rest of influential people in the world."

"You are insane! Don't come any closer!" She warned him, pointing her wand at him. Ronald did the same, even though his wand was snapped in half, the parts only being held together by some tape.

Their probably ex-HoM threw his head back and laughed. "What are you going to do about it?" the man drew his wand and pointed it at her. He was about to open his mouth, but was interrupted.

"Expelliarmus!" Potter exclaimed and Lockhart's wand came flying towards her open hand, much to the man's shook. The girl pointed both wands towards him. "You shouldn't have taught us this spell, huh?"

"Mate, that was awesome!" Ronald exclaimed, clapping her back.

"Tom is a good teacher." She answered with a grin. "Now, what should we do with you?"

Lockhart did not look so confident anymore. He was starting to sweat and twitch at random intervals. "C-come on, Lily. You don't have to do this." The man looked ready to beg. "I will teach you how to deal with crowds! I'll be your personal manager! I'll do anything! Please! I'll even be you boyfriend!"

Lily and Ron shared a disgusted look. "I think, I just puked a little in my mouth." The girl confessed.

"Please, children! Don't turn me in! My life would be destroyed! All my fans, my awards, my money! I would lose it all." Lockhart stared hyperventilating. He made a pained expression and grabbed his chest. "Please!" he begged between pants.

Both kids watched in surprise as the blond man fainted.

"That was pathetic." Ron stated, his face showing disappointment. The boy walked closed to him and kneeled to check his breathing.

In the blink of the eye, Lockhart took Ron's wand and grabbed the boy.

"Hahaha! You fell for it!" he exclaimed, looking deranged. "Now, Potter. Drop the wands on the floor and kick them away before I blow your little friend's head up."

Lily, having no choice, did as Lockhart asked. She dropped the wands and kicked them away, all while glaring at the man.

"Well done, Miss Potter!" he praised her. Then, he pointed his wand at her. "It's a pity I have to do this. You could have been great! Just like me." He tilted his head to a side. "Say goodbye to you memories, Lily Potter. Obliviate!"

The girl ducked to a side, but it was not necessary as the ray of light came out from the other side of the wand and hit Lockhart in the head. He dropped like a puppet with no strings.

Both students stared at the fallen form of their Professor, their mouths open in a mix of surprise, amusement and panic.

"Bloody hell." Ronald said, calmly.

Lily could only nod. Bloody hell indeed.
