The Power of Gods: A Wonder Woman Fanfiction Story

Episode 21:

In the Gaianetarium flames…

Gaia and Uranus hover in the Gaianetarium flames. With a heavy sigh, Uranus turns to Gaia, "well…better late than never." Just then, Wonder Woman appears: Quite shaken. She bows before them, "Gaia. Uranus." In surfacing worry and confusion, Wonder Woman faces them, "what's just happened?" Gaia sighs deeply, "it's a lot to take in, Wonder Woman. The universe…was destroyed. Yet, here we are: Suspended away from the present by a Gaianetarium." Deeply and shakily, Wonder Woman sighs, "I don't want to think about that: All I care about is saving the universe. So, let's get started."

Uranus points out, "we already are. The past burns on in the Gaianetarium…one last time." Turning back to the Gaianetarium, Wonder Woman sees into the swirling heart of the cosmos: Sky Watch, the rise of The Circle, Mirror Lyla bringing forth massive destruction of the Gargarei, the unearthing of Titan Coeus's god blade… The multiverse of pasts just seems to go on and on and on. Yet, it's all fading off in a swirling chaos of dancing lights: Along with the silhouettes of Gaia and Uranus, blending as one.

In glowing determination, Wonder Woman concludes, "not if I can help it!" Coming in sight is the past image of Titan Coeus's god blade falling into the melting castle. Through the spirit flames, Wonder Woman gets her golden lasso around the god blade. Chaos's voice rings heartlessly, "tick tock…universe clock break…tick tock…down come spirits and all." With everything fluctuating in dancing lights, Wonder Woman struggles to hold onto consciousness.

And as the day of doomsday comes back around, she reels in Titan Coeus's god blade. With her last ounce of strength, Wonder Woman slashes the god blade into the storm: Melting the clouds and Methane gas blobs away. The darkness in the sky becomes a bubble of a magic mirror: Shining of silver.

In mortal time, all around the world…

The dancing lights fade. The cosmos are swirling back in place. And, Wonder Woman finds herself back in her invisible jet. The whirlwinds are just coming down from the skies, when the bubble of a magic mirror comes over the whole world. Adrasteia sees it from a side door. Sounding a bit more hopeful, she wonders, "Diana…is that what I think it is?" Wonder Woman slightly chuckles, "close. I'll tell you two later." Steve slightly chuckles, "must be a hell of a story."

The whirlwinds vanish. The skies clear: Even as modern citizens everywhere head for the nearest storm shelters. The fighting force of demons comes. But, with the weather sunny all over, many more fighter jets across the world's countries are coming: Firing laser fast fire down upon them before the city levels can melt down in flames. Apollo's Archangels and Nightshade's forces of Mannishade fighters are holding off the demons from the modern citizens: Including Archangel Hercules and Archangel Guinevere at the frontlines.

In the midst of Zeus and Hades's god charging…

The whirlwinds appear high over the Tear Bubbles. With the might of two thousand storms, every water cell of the Atlanteans within is evaporated away from their original mortal selves. The fighter jets above fall back, avoiding the whirlwind shockwaves. The water dolphin and shark beings evaporate away. The very confused restored mortals run off: Past the washed away city streets left behind from the Tear Bubbles.

Poseidon is knocked hard backwards, coughing hard in his cries of frustration. Zeus and Hades are about to fire god lightning and fireballs. But, Zeus pauses. With some dark amusement, he figures, "hmm… Take it away, Hades." Zeus disappears. Hades laughs twistedly, "don't mind if I do."

He gets god chains around Amphitrite, swinging her into Poseidon to knock them both out then and there. Hade wonders in heartlessness, "hmm. Maybe Poseidon wouldn't miss one little Nereid." Hestia calls out sternly, "Hades! You already have a renewed god creation license with Zeus. And unless you want to invoke Zeus's right to god battle, you can not have a second Olympian Muse!" Hade sighs defeatedly, "party pooper goddess."

In mortal time, at the frontlines of the demon forces…

Nightshade calls out, "all right, essence of fear: Meet my essence of hate for you…in Tartarus! For Maureen! For Maureen!" Duplicate Hades has his fireplace coal god blades appear, flying in fast. Nightshade slashes her shadow blade into his god body: Holding her breath and her eyes shut through the god blade dust. Duplicate Hades is moderately fluctuating. The dust cloud clears. But, no whirlwind comes: Only a god rock blast from Duplicate Hades.

He twistedly laughs, "oh, I'm not the true essence of fear: I'm "afraid" I'm a dupl…icate." Nightshade has already vanished out of range through a shadow portal, reappearing right in front of Duplicate Hades to shadow blade slash him unconscious. Walking off, Nightshade slightly sighs to herself, "then Hades should be very afraid: When I destroy him." Up to the sky, silvery Hera slightly chuckles, "all clear, dear." From Mount Olympus, Zeus considers this, "hmm. All right: Sounds good enough to me. Come back to our Olympian cloud." Twistedly a bit cheerful, silvery Hera adds, "will do."

Around this mortal time, back in Wonder Woman's invisible jet…

Over communications, Etta is calling, "Washington Headquarters Services to Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor: Come in." Steve responds, "loud and clear, Etta Ranch. What's your status?" Etta slightly chuckles, "we were expecting a evacuation ourselves. But, it turned out to be a big false alarm. Thank god." Wonder Woman adds, "yes: Thank the gods." Etta signs off over communications.

Adrasteia reflects, "that is good and all, but…wasn't Lyla supposed to check in with us by now?" Under her breath, Wonder Woman moderately sighs, "damnit! I knew I forgot…something." In dancing lights, the god Lex Luthor appears in front of the invisible jet. Steve gasps, "good…god." Wonder Woman urges, "hold on!" Her invisible jet steers tightly past several laser cannon god blasts and god missiles. But, a laser cannon god blast destroys the invisible jet.

Superman, becoming conscious fairly recently, charges for god Lex Luthor. God Lex Luthor laughs, "two superheroes for the price of one." Believing he's too late, Superman calls out angrily, "laugh this off!" He fly tackles god Lex Luthor in the air, punching him hard for the waters below.

In god time, in the spirit flames of the not too distant past…

Amidst auras of uncertainty, Uranus is in the midst of whispering, "you sure this is wise?! You're…" Gaia pauses, "wait a god second, darling." Uranus checks, "well, what is it?" The spirit flames show god Lex Luthor destroying the invisible jet. Gaia figures reflectively, "a echo in the Gaianetarium: Almost like…waking up from a nightmare. Keep an eye on Earth. I'm taking a trip to the Galactic Center." Uranus slightly chuckles, "you'll get no argument from me. But…be careful, Gaia." Gaia whispers assuredly, "I always am." She vanishes.

In mortal time, up in the sky…

Flying back with ease, God Lex Luthor slightly sighs, "oh, superheroes. The end of your rule is today." Superman concludes lowly, "we don't rule anything! We help people…but you're beyond our help." God Lex Luthor shouts, "lies!" He launches green Kryptonite god missiles at Superman, draining Superman's powers just by being there.

He starts falling for the waters, gasping in heightened worry. In their Spiritwear though, Wonder Woman and Adrasteia are just appearing in sight: Flying off the momentum of the explosion. Wonder Woman spirit energy slashes through the Kryptonite god missiles: Barely holding Steve's physical body with her other arm. The god missiles explode into debris, falling far away from range of Superman's resurfacing powers. Over the explosions, Wonder Woman calls out, "you all right, Superman?!" Superman slightly chuckles in relief, "I am now."

Adrasteia gets her spirit energy longbow ready, "now!" She fires at god Lex Luthor. Steve slightly chuckles, "damn right." With his free hand, he fires his light gun pointer into god Lex Luthor.

In god time, front and center of the Galactic Center…

Gaia appears on the back of a asteroid like snake, passing around and around the star made universe model. And facing her is Fury. She laughs distortedly: Her true face of Chaos covered in dancing lights. Gaia has appeared in the form of a alternate Wonder Woman: Wearing glowing dark blue battle wear. She considers warily, "Chaos…I presume." As Fury, Chaos laughs, "I am the embodiment of Chaos. You not stop Chaos: You only delay Chaos." Gaia concludes solemnly, "if that's what it takes."

Fury battle cries to the stars, firing a goddess blast of dancing light distortions into Gaia. Moderately fluctuating and groaning hard, Gaia charges at Chaos. They're both furiously slashing at each other with their goddess blades, for the future of the cosmos. Chaos fires a goddess blast of dancing light distortions by its other hand. But, a starlight shockwave comes from all around Gaia: The dancing light distortions goddess blast fading away. Chaos is covered in starlight flames, its Fury form crying out to the stars. Chaos shouts, "this…is…not over!" Chaos's Fury form explodes. Gaia slightly sighs, "Chaos never…learns. Oh, no." She notices the star for the world of the Bana-Mighdall: Destroyed, before Gaia got here.

Meanwhile in god time, with Athena and Mister Lava…

Aresia angrily shouts at Athena, "to think I ever thought you were a goddess of wisdom!" Aresia shapeshifts several of the vines into sand like goddess snakes, which lightning quick wrap around Athena's goddess body. Athena's goddess body fluctuates, as she struggles to breathe. Under her breath, she slightly sighs, "no…goodie stories?" Suddenly teary eyed, Artemis gasps, "ohh! I will be good pretty." She turns into a giant dark purple dragon like sea serpent, diving into the waters: Before a very confused Mister Lava can punch her down.

Aresia shouts, "what are you doing, you ungrateful little goddess?!" The sand like goddess snakes goddess transform into the resurfacing sea serpent, charging right for Aresia. Mister Lava is reappearing on the tippy top of Aeaea. Athena turns to him, just catching her breath. Between breaths, she urges sternly, "Mister…Lava, leave…them to... Me." Aresia moderately sighs, "very well: You've left me no choice." Aresia goddess transforms into a invisible jet, firing goddess missiles and laser fast fire into Artemis's sea serpent form. It cries and fluctuates in its own destruction.

A teary eyed Athena cries out, "no!" Off by a few god seconds, she slashes her goddess blade into the position of Aresia's invisible jet form. It explodes. Bending over the wreckage, Athena cries out, "Artemis! No. No!"

Back in mortal time, up in the more hopeful sky…

God Lex Luthor cries out in anger, moderately fluctuating: When Superman angrily fly charges into him. To Wonder Woman and Steve, Superman calls out, "I can take it from here: Go!" He and god Lex Luthor splash hard into the waters, punching at each other underwater. Wonder Woman says, "hold on!" Steve slightly sighs with relief, "whatever you say, angel." Wonder Woman and Adrasteia are coming down for a landing, off shore from the coast of Maryland.

Superman's battlesuit is equipped to double as a spacesuit though: Automatically covering Superman's face with a bubble like windshield. God Lex Luthor punches him into the ocean floor. Superman tumbles superfast onto his feet, catching another punch. He says lowly, "that'll be enough of that…Luthor." Superman whirl hurls god Lex Luthor into the shoreline, knocking him out against it. Superman starts swimming up to shore: Carrying god Lex Luthor's unconscious god body with him. He sighs heavily, "as if this world's Luthor wasn't bad enough." With his X-ray vision, Superman has already pieced together that god Lex Luthor isn't from the central world.

Meanwhile, in Paradise Island's shadow…

Behind the watery portals, Mirror Lyla's team of Wonder Dolls has quickly realized the Methane gas blobs have vanished. Through the Universe Orb, Mirror Lyla insists, "no: There is none left! Surely we're not going to flee…?!" Chaos giggles, "we not flee. You make spirit force: All spirits fall." Mirror Lyla slightly laughs, "it'll be done, Artemis." She turns to the nearest Wonder Dolls, "no one gets in here. Go!" They head out to join the other Wonder Dolls in battle: With Cyrene's Lapith troops coming. Mirror Lyla steps into a magic mirror: Launching millions of duplicate spirits for mortals around the world, through Chaos's power.

In god time, from inside the Universe Orb…

The form of the Devastation Wonder Woman stands there: As a backup spiritless godly creation for Chaos to control. She laughs cruelly, "relax: You about to wake up for big doomsday." Interestingly, central Lyla punches The Devastation Wonder Woman against the Universe Orb: Her color suddenly returning to her. The Devastation Wonder Woman cries in defeat, as she falls unconscious. The other Mala Amazons mostly slightly chuckle in their relief.

Dancing lights head out from the then spiritless body, but central Lyla gets in its way. She calls out, "oh no, you don't!" With a resurfacing spirit energy blade, central Lyla slashes the dancing lights: Into jet black and dark red fluctuating spirit energy, cosmically glowing around her empowered spirit. Seeing Mirror Lyla out there, central Lyla urges, "stay here." Queen Antiope turns to her, "sister, we're Amazons: We can't just stand around to let the world fall to…!"

Sighing heavily, central Lyla insists delicately, "Chaos…denied me a fighting chance. Now I have the power to deny Chaos the world." Queen Antiope slightly chuckles nervously, "just like that? Ok. But, you're still my advisor." Central Lyla slightly sighs, "thanks." She forms millions of fiery red duplicate spirits of herself, drawing from Chaos's leftover dancing light distortion energy.

And together with the cosmically glowing central Lyla, they all intercept Mirror Lyla and her spirit duplicates. In echoes upon echoes of battle cries, the spirit duplicates of fiery red and ghostly red clash in millions of exploding dancing lights. And flying out of it all is central Lyla, deeply sighing in resurfacing hopefulness: Back out to the Universe Orb to free her Amazon sisters.

In mortal time, with Queen Hippolyta's Amazons…

They're readying their spirit energy cannonballs, for bringing Paradise Island to destruction. But suddenly, a flash of thunder and lightning comes down from above: From Zeus on his opened up Olympian cloud, coming in orbit of Paradise Island. Beside him is reflective Hera. Zeus shouts, "enough!" Queen Hippolyta shouts, "enough?! In case you've forgotten your Olympian god battles, that's Chaos up there!" Reflective Hera sighs heavily to Zeus, "dear, I can take it from here." Zeus mutters grumpily, "fine." He vanishes. With something of a goddess pedestal, reflective Hera says, "we appreciate you looking out for our best interests, Hippolyta."

She steps aside to show Zeus's Olympian TV scroll: Showing on it the millions of exploding dancing lights between magic links. Reflective Hera moderately sighs, "but, as you can see…the Mala Amazon nation is taking care of Chaos themselves." Queen Hippolyta bows politely, "our apologies, Hera." Reflective Hera insists, "no need to apologize to me, Hippolyta. Although, I'm sure Zeus is appreciative." Philippus figures darkly, "of course he is."

Cyrene's Lapith come charging into the Mala Amazon nation's towers, bittersweetly realizing the day is already won. The Mala Amazons are all out of the Universe Orb, and a still cosmically glowing central Lyla is with them. Cyrene mutters hotly, "all right: Where's the Chaos game seeking?!" Central Lyla slightly chuckles nervously, "trust me: There'd be no more anything if I didn't stop Chaos myself." Sounding somewhat disappointed, Cyrene moderately sighs, "good enough...I guess."

Within the ongoing Gaianetarium flames…

Flashes of spirit energy flame sparks go off, with smoky like black thought shapes. Athena sadly faces Cyrene and Apollo, with the shapes of Artemis's outline and smoky like raindrops over the scene. And in tiny smoky like letters, through Artemis's outline, is the name Circe.

A second set of flashes shows a furious Zeus facing Athena and Apollo: With the shape of Zeus's Olympian TV Scroll splitting into two falling scroll halves. And rising from the scroll halves are faces of the Olympian Gods. One scroll half has Apollo's side in smoky like shapes: In addition to Gaia and Uranus's faces, under the smoky like words "Astraea Cycle". The other scroll half has Zeus's side and Ares's side as one: With duplicate faces among themselves to form their own "Olympian Gods".

A third set of flashes show the Bana-Mighdall Amazons's pyramids, just as Chaos itself pictured them. Over the pyramids, the shapes of three quite familiar looking Amazon outlines reach out for some all too familiar dancing lights. The pyramids crumple to dust, but the outlines remain: Showered in dancing lights. And, a fourth flash shows the shape of Demeter's World Tree: With vines of a certain Olympian Muse, climbing up the center hole.

Behind the third set of flashes, Gaia's shadow sighs heavily, "after all of that…Chaos is still out there." Beside her, Uranus's shadow concludes, "sure. Slight chuckle. But, we always find a way: If this mortal day is any indication." Gaia's shadow slightly sighs, "I know, Uranus: I just wish we could just take a god year off." Uranus's shadow figures, "how about this god moment?" Sounding a bit happier, Gaia's shadow concludes, "all right." Their shadows blend together, over the Gaianetarium flames.

A few mortal weeks later, on a cruise ship…

Wonder Woman as United States fighter Diana Prince and Steve Trevor are physically relaxing on a gold lined jet black deck: On dark blue beach recliners. Reclining next to Diana is Etta, in her puffy sleeved dress from earlier. As for their spirits…only mortal time will tell. Steve is mostly silent: Not wanting to get into Wonder Woman's feelings of the changing faces of the Olympian Gods in front of Etta. Looking out to the sun, Diana sighs heavily, "the Tear Bubbles are gone. We're back to the good old days…yet it doesn't feel the same." Etta somewhat uneasily figures, "join the club." Then, from the sky, Lyla touches down on the deck. She checks, "hello: I'm looking for…Wonder Woman."
