Wolfpack

We stand on the surface of Luna.

Our homeworld shines bright in the sky.

Ahead is a force of the Fallen,

We're ordered to make them all die.

As one our foes charge towards us,

They fire, and as one we shoot back.

As our bullets fly, Fallen start to die,

Falter under the fury of Wolfpack.

Then comes hand to hand, monsters versus Man,

And as one four-armed freaks, they all fall.

We're soon left alone, we glance towards home,

We're Guardians, and we stand tall.

We get on our Pikes, we chase a straggler,

Hunters, we are, and it's prey.

The Pike is shot down, our foe hits the ground,

For us Guardians, such work fills our days.

The Fallen, they think our worlds theirs,

They think our home system's to own.

We'll let their blood feed this grey soil,

We send out a call – "this is home."

Then towards Mars, we're sent to keep peace,

To keep peace on the planet of war.

To clear out Cabal from our world,

As one, we all charge to the fore.

Our pack bears arms against theirs,

We three all stand firm on our trail.

Cabal taken out, we let out a shout,

Like on the moon we'll prevail.

Fighting as one or with Wolfpack,

We fight both alone and afar.

Be it Mars or the moon, or Venus soon,

Or on Earth under glow of the stars.

A/N

Probably obvious, but this was based on the Law of the Jungle trailer. And, in all honesty, it's made me even more mixed about Destiny. On one hand, it's an example of what I like about the setting. Yet on the other, irks me about its execution. More and more it seems Bungie's going down the "humans are special" route that was unfortunately introduced to Halo by Halo 4 (and arguably Halo 3), that Marathon thankfully remained free of. And these alien species that we know nothing about seem to exist solely for the sake of having something to shoot. Heck, that was outright stated to be the reason at GDC 2013.

Still, maybe I'm just being overly cynical. Can't have everything in life I guess.
