Hey there guys, I have to apologise and say that I think I'll abandon this story. It's been fun writing it but I've become disinterested in it an my attempts to write another chapter have felt like a chore.

The reasons for this would be that it's been a while since I've read son of Neptune and I feel like the logical conclusion to this fic would be to in many ways simply follow the plot. My attempts to avert this have felt silly so far and I don't really have much interest in any sort of rephrasing. To be honest the part I most enjoyed writing featured the characters just having a good time at Camp Jupiter and trying to focus on progression is where I've struggled. Even just bringing in Percy, I haven't brought his character to justice very well and I'm sure at least one review pointed out how he was out of character.

I've also been working on other works for different fandoms. The Percy Jackson series is one I haven't really been into for a bit so it's harder to get invested in the characters. I do wish I could've brought this to a satisfying conclusion as I did want to show the Percy/Zoe relationship working but honestly I think my other fic Talking to a shadow addressed a lot of those feeling already, though in a short one-shot.

Thanks to all those who've read and left reviews for this story, you've been great and I have enjoyed writing it even if I can't feel that sort of enthusiasm now!

Here's the start of what would be the next chapter though I doubt I'll ever pick this up again, it concludes things slightly better though I suppose.

There was undeniably some accusation in his eyes. I hadn't told him who he was and now he was becoming aware of such a deception. Teams didn't function so well with secrets and hostility but at this point it seemed impossible to avoid at least one of those. Perhaps I had handled all this foolishly and my purpose should've been to inform not simply watch.

Still, currently his expression suggested more curiosity than anger so I could mend this. I glanced surreptitiously over at Frank, checking that he was asleep before meeting Percy's eyes once more. It was time to reveal all.

"How much can you remember?" I asked softly.

"I know- well I think we've travelled together before. And that giant…" he broke off, obviously remembering the sickness that had come as a result of the abrupt meeting with Polybotes.

"You are correct," I stated firmly. "We were on a quest to save my lady Artemis."

"Like the Greek god Artemis?" He asked, already a little confused.

"Yes, you are a Greek demigod rather than a Roman one which is the reason no one knows you at the camp," I explained, trying to sound detached.

"Wait, I thought there were only Romans and what about Nico? He knew me too," Percy asked.

"Most are not aware of the other camp. When Greeks meet Romans it frequently ends in bloodshed so it's a little known secret. Nico is a Greek demigod who is aware."

"Oh. So I'm not a Roman then?"

I shook my head. "I think you were aware of being different. You are a son of Poseidon whom has been sent here to fulfil a purpose, I think. I am in a similar situation," I revealed.

"Why didn't you or Nico tell me all this sooner then!" Percy demanded, showing he was, in fact angry with me.

I was slow to respond. "I think there was a purpose to your memories being taken and we didn't wish to interfere. The gods appear to be troubled by the giants."

"You could've said something!"

I looked back at him defiantly. "You didn't even recognise me, you know? I suppose I am inconsequential compared to Nico di Angelo." The fact Nico had known him for longer didn't erase that phantom pain.

Percy sighed, not having a satisfying reply to deliver. "Whose idea was it for me to be kept in the dark anyway? At least you guys were in on this stupid plan," he grumbled to himself in a not angry sort of way.

I didn't allow any happiness to show on my face but I did feel pleased. He wasn't really the sort to be angry for more than a minute, it seemed. Well he didn't look incredibly angry anymore, now watching the darkening summer sky. It was late by now though we'd travelled far in our mad haste to get as far from the army as possible.

The army wasn't hugely interested in a tiny band of Heroes though. What they were interested in could only be Camp Jupiter. Unlike Camp Half-blood, Jupiter only had the conventional defences set up by clever demigods rather than powerful magic in the form of a tree that had once contained the soul of a strong-willed girl and was even now kept alive by the Golden fleece. The army would almost certainly arrive within a few days, and here we were, going to sleep when our destination of Alaska was still so far away, even by flying horse.

Sorry, that's it. If anyone wants to continue this then they can PM me I suppose in case someone does in fact want to write an ending. That'd be wonderful! Thanks again for reading guys!
