Based on an official Drama CD of Kuroko no Basket.

Kise was in Shibuya, one of Tokyo's busiest districts for businesses and shopping. He wandered around, catching the eyes of many passer-bys, especially the females.

"It's been a while since I've been here...it sure is crowded as always," he sighed then paused as one of the department stores caught his eye.

"Nanbu Department Store?" he read aloud. "I might as well stop and buy some clothes or something…"

"Kise?"

He turned around to see Kasamatsu.

"What are you doing here?" Kasamatsu asked.

"Same to you, Captain!"

"I had to set up our practice match for next Sunday," he said.

"No way…with Seirin?" Kise asked excitedly.

"We played a game with them just the other day, remember?!" Kasamatsu said exasperatedly. "What about you? What are you doing here?"

"I was doing my modeling job here at Shuueisha in Jinbou-chou," he replied.

"Is that so. Well, don't overdo it."

"Roger that!" he said cheerfully. "…What's that in your hand?"

"It's just a pack of tissues I got from around the corner," Kasamatsu said.

"You were handing out tissues, senpai?!"

"Why would I come all the way to Shibuya just to hand out tissues, you idiot?!" Kasamatsu kicked Kise.

"Ow!"

"There's some advertising for this department store," he explained. "See, it's for the sports department on the tenth floor."

The ad on the tissue packaging blared the sentence, LIMITED EDITION: BASKETBALL SHOES 80% OFF!.

"Whoa!" Kise exclaimed. "We can't pass this up! As expected of my captain! C'mon, let's go!"

"Hey, don't push me!"

Meanwhile, Kagami, Kuroko and Hazuki were on the first floor of the crowded department store. Kagami looked around at the intricate glass dome and multiple layers in search. Kuroko looked at him as pokerfaced as ever while Hazuki looked like she was about to keel over.

"This place is huge!" Kagami exclaimed. "What floor is the sports department?"

"Why did we need to come with you, Kagami-kun?" Kuroko asked.

"My old basketball shoes are falling apart," he explained. "There's just too many kinds to choose from and I need some opinions from people who know about this! Hrm... where is the sports department..."

Kuroko sighed, slightly feeling that he didn't really need to be there. He turned to Hazuki, and with a start, realized that she was looking queasy.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"There's too many people here," Hazuki mumbled, feeling more and more unhappy by the minute. She began to tug her hoodie strings and twist them around her finger with unease.

"Ah, your agoraphobia," he remembered. "This really isn't the best place for you."

"Hrm..." she scratched her head. "It's not that bad really. The lunch situation last time was worse."

Kuroko tugged her gently by her arm towards a less populated corner of the first floor. "Kagami-kun's probably going to take awhile. Let's go over there."

"Let's see…looks like the sports department is on the tenth floor," Kagami said. "Hey, Kuroko! Don't wander off like you usually do. I'd never be able to find you in this crowd. Wait, he's gone already! He was here just a second ago! And Fujidana's gone too!?"

He began looking around frantically for the pair of them, scaring other shoppers easily with his stature.

"Is it alright to not go over there?" Hazuki asked Kuroko. "I think he knows where the sports section of the department store is."

"He dragged the both of us all of a sudden during the weekend without notice," he said. "And he completely forgot that you don't like crowded places."

"Well," Hazuki smiled. "I think he gets a bit lonely easily. I'm actually a lot better in crowds if I'm with people I know. If it's by myself like it was last time at lunch during school, I can't really handle it. Strange isn't it?"

Kuroko looked at her in a sideways glance and digested this piece of information.

Meanwhile, Kise walked into the department store with Kasamatsu who was still berating him for his pushiness. Kise took no note and looked around with interest.

"Wait... isn't that Kurokocchi?" Kise pointed near the cosmetics display.

Kuroko was standing, talking to a hooded person who was sitting on a bench.

"How should I know?" Kasamatsu asked.

"Yep, that's Kurokocchi!" Kise grinned and ran towards Kuroko. "Hey!"

"Oh, Kise-kun," he said.

"Hey there! Fancy meeting you here!" he said cheerfully.

Kise-kun already found us, but Kagami-kun is still looking, Hazuki mulled over this observation. Is this the power of friendship or something?

"It's been a while," Kuroko said.

"What do you mean?" Kise asked. "We saw each other a few days ago for the practice game!"

"Yo," Kasamatsu waved.

"Kasamatsu-san, thanks again for the other day at the practice game," Kuroko said politely.

"Why are you so much happier to see him than me?" Kise demanded.

"What brings you here?" Kuroko asked.

"Just some errands," Kasamatsu said.

"But what are you doing in the cosmetics department?" Kise asked. "Ah—! Could it be…?"

Kuroko raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"You're buying a present for your girlfriend!" Kise guessed with glee.

Kuroko-kun has a girlfriend, Hazuki thought in surprise.

"I don't have a girlfriend," he said with a deadpan expression. "It's just... Kagami-kun got lost somewhere. And we're just staying put to wait for him."

"We?" Kise asked.

Kagami finally spotted the group and began marching over in annoyance.

"I finally found you guys!" Kagami said. "Don't disappear on me like that! Kuroko, stop spreading your misdirection to other people too!"

He pointed at Hazuki accusingly, who waved in greeting, as she didn't want to go near the crowd at the moment. As her hoodie was up and she was unrecognizable, Kise and Kasamatsu only gave her curious glances.

"You were the one who disappeared, Kagami-kun," Kuroko said, lying through his teeth.

"As if!" Kagami retorted then realized the presence of two other people. "Wait, Kise?! And Kaijou's captain? What're you doing here?"

"Hi," Kasamatsu greeted.

"Kagamicchi, did somebody wander off on his own?" Kise asked.

Kagami instinctively felt insulted. "Like hell I did! And quit callin' me "Kagamicchi!"

Hazuki suddenly had an image of a small tiger arguing with a blond chihuahua.

"It's his way of acknowledging you," Kuroko said.

"Exactly," Kise said with a thumbs up.

"But I don't like it!"

"Moving on — are you guys off from practice today?" Kise asked.

"Yes," Kuroko said. "We came to do a little shopping. Well, Kagami-kun did."

"Since we're here and all, you guys should buy some, too," Kagami pointed out.

"That's a good point. I'll make up my mind after we look around."

"Are you here to buy basketball shoes, too?" Kasamatsu asked.

"Yeah," Kagami nodded.

"In that case, we can't let you get ahead of us…to buy the limited editions," Kasamatsu said, a grin on his face.

"Oh, I see," Kise grinned. "You're raring to go, aren't you? Heheh."

Kagami felt goosebumps on his arms. "W-what d'you mean?"

"You're creeping me out," Kuroko said to Kise.

"You haven't forgotten, have you?" Kise asked.

Kuroko furrowed his eyebrows slightly. "Forgotten what?"

"You know, that thing we talked about the other day. I'm sure you remember."

"What do you mean by that?"

Kagami paled as he deduced the meaning of their words. "Kuroko, we're gonna run for it!"

"Huh?" Kuroko asked.

Kagami grabbed Kuroko's arm and dashed for the bench to an unsuspecting Hazuki.

"Eh?" She asked before she was lugged away by Kagami.

"That hurts!" Kuroko struggled. "Please let go of me, Kagami-kun."

"Get a move on!" he yelled and dragged them in the opposite direction.

"Ehhh?" Kise gaped at their departure.

"What's that about?" Kasamatsu asked.

"Why are you running away?" Kise protested and ran after them. "Wait up!"

"Hey, Kise!" Kasamatsu yelled. "...And there he goes. Geez, what's going on? I'm going on without you, got it?!"

Kagami continued sprinting and dragging a bewildered Kuroko and bemused Hazuki away from the Kaijou players.

"Are we playing tag?" Hazuki asked, keeping up with Kagami easily. Kuroko was beginning to lag already behind them.

"Hurry up, Kuroko!" Kagami shouted.

"What's gotten into you, Kagami-kun?" Kuroko asked.

"Did you two decide to have a game of tag with them?" Hazuki asked.

"We don't have time for your delusions!" Kagami said. "We're going upstairs!"

"Kurokocchi!" Kise shouted. "Wait!"

"Look, here he comes!" Kagami said. "Let's use the escalator!"

"But this is the down escalator," Kuroko pointed out. "Are you planning to use it backwards?"

"It doesn't matter!" Kagami said hurriedly. "Put all you have into it!"

"We're not going to fit if we go at the same pace though," Hazuki said.

"Then we're going to have to squeeze and go fast enough!" Kagami grabbed her by the waist and dragged Kuroko up the down escalator.

"Wait, seriously?!" Kise protested. "Do you really want to run away from me that badly? Kurokocchi!"

Kagami lugged Kuroko and Hazuki behind several counters and shelves of bags.

"I think we finally lost them," Kagami wiped his brow in relief.

"Kagami-kun, can you please explain what's going on?" Kuroko asked.

"There'd be hell to pay if one of those guys from Kaijou caught up with us!"

"Eh?"

"Kagami-kun, I don't think they were that angry with the practice match's results," Hazuki said.

Kise came running down from a distance towards the hiding place. "Kurokocchi! Why do you keep running away?"

"I thought it was mostly Kagami-kun's efforts though," Hazuki mused.

"What?!" Kagami exclaimed. "Why's he still chasing us?"

"Because you were willing to do something crazy like run up the escalator in reverse," Kuroko deadpanned.

"Then let's use the elevator!"

"I'd rather not. I'm exhausted."

"But Kuroko-kun, wouldn't the elevator not require any energy?" Hazuki asked.

"..."

"Well, it seems that Kuroko-kun's pretty tired," Hazuki agreed. "Kagami-kun, you should carry him next time."

"Why!? Like hell I will!"

"...I completely deplore the notion of that."

Hazuki scratched her head. "But I can run faster."

"..."

"We don't have time for this!" Kagami said. "Kuroko this is partly your fault that we're in this mess!"

"Why?"

"Forget it!" Kagami said. "Just come on already!"

The three of them took off towards the direction of the elevator.

"I won't let you get away!" Kise shouted gleefully. "I've been going running every day since our game!"

They disappeared around the corner where the elevator was beginning to close. Kise managed to see the elevator closing just in time for him to slam into the doors.

"Aaah, just missed them," he groaned. "They're heading up… I get it now! They're trying to buy the limited edition shoes before the captain and I do. Well, we can't have that! I'll take the stairs to the tenth floor and cut them off! Oooooh—!"

He ran for the stairs. Kuroko peeked around the pillar the three of them were hiding behind.

"Is he gone?" Kagami asked.

Kuroko nodded. "Yes."

"Yes! We really gave him the slip."

Kuroko scratched his cheek. "The fact that Kise-kun fell for such a textbook move makes me worry about his future."

"Yeah, pretty much," Kagami agreed.

"Um, Kagami-kun," Hazuki raised a hand. "Why are we playing tag?"

"We are not playing tag!" Kagami said. "We're running away from them!"

"Why are we?" Kuroko asked.

"Well, it's about what happened at the practice game," Kagami explained. "I slam dunked the ball and wrecked the goal, remember?"

"Oh…yeah. You were annoyed when they told us we could only use half the court for our game," Kuroko recalled.

"You were the one egging me on!" Kagami retorted.

"Well, to be fair all of us weren't happy," Hazuki agreed.

"So what happened?" Kuroko asked.

"Their coach completely snapped," Kagami said. "He was furious. Captain told me that he demanded that we compensate them for the damage."

"Ah... I remember that I estimated that it would be about 60,000 yen," Hazuki noted.

"That's a terribly large sum," Kuroko said.

"I wish it was only that," Kagami said glumly. "500,000 yen."

"...That's quite the number," Kuroko managed to say.

"How is that possible?" Hazuki asked. "When my brother broke the backboard at my house, it didn't cost nearly as much, and NBA ones don't cost nearly as much as that."

"I don't know," Kagami said. "Maybe in Japan, the backboards are just much more expensive. I think the coach is just mad that they lost."

"But, Kagami-kun, you're always buying mountains of hamburgers and such, so you must be pretty rich," Kuroko said.

"I ain't rich! And that's totally beside the point."

"Is that so?" Kuroko asked.

Hazuki thought of something bad. "Will we have to be in the organ trafficking business?"

"No we won't!" Kagami said.

"We won't," Kuroko patted her head.

"Anyways, we can't let them catch us," Kagami went back to the main point. "Got it? That goes for you, too, Kuroko. You're guilty by association."

"That's…a problem."

"...Am I in trouble too?" Hazuki asked.

"Yes! You're in Seirin too!"

Hazuki had the image of her priceless manga books and limited edition anime figurines fade away into the sunset.

"Hey, Kise!" Kasamatsu waved from outside the sports shoe store. "Get over here! The shoes are gonna be sold out!

"Have you seen Kurokocchi?" Kise asked.

"...No."

"That's weird," Kise puzzled. "Weren't they trying to buy the limited edition basketball shoes?"

"It seems like they didn't know about the bargain sale," Kasamatsu said.

"Ehh? But that doesn't make any sense!" Kise protested. "Kagamicchi's one thing, but why do I have to avoided by Kurokocchi? I'm gonna cry!"

"And I couldn't care less!" Kasamatsu glared.

"When things get rough, you have to persevere!" Kise became pumped up. "Captain, lend me a hand!"

"Huh? Why me?"

"'Cause they might be keeping some incredible secret from us! It's definitely something shady! Come on, let's go!"

Kise ran off once more.

Kasamatsu could only sigh. "Is everybody in the Generation of Miracles like this? Guess there's nothing else for it."

His mind suddenly remembered something.

Who was that third hoodied person?

Meanewhile on the other side of the department store, the trio were outside of the regular casual clothes' stores.

Kuroko sat with his back to the wall, catching his breath while Hazuki glanced at her watch to check the time.

"These jeans are pretty good," Kagami looked at one of the racks. "Wait, now's not the time for that!"

"Kagami-kun," Kuroko said.

"Yeah?"

"I was thinking… what if we just left? Kise-kun and Kasamatsu-san live in Kanagawa, so they'll head home eventually," Kuroko said.

"Did you forget why we came here in the first place?" Kagami asked.

"I didn't need anything to begin with," Kuroko shrugged. "Did you need new basketball shoes Fujidana-san?"

"I think my current ones are fine," she said.

"You bastard—! You're gonna play that card after all we've been through?" Kagami said to Kuroko.

Kise spotted them and began running from the other side. "You can't run forever!"

"...Here he comes. And he brought Kasamatsu-san with him."

"They just don't know when to give up, do they!?" Kagami muttered.

"Kurokocchi~!"

"Why is he after me? Kagami-kun is the one who's running away."

"It's almost like he's in love with you," Hazuki said.

Kagami snorted.

"Please never say that again," Kuroko said. "Even if it looks misleading on his part."

"Well, we probably need to hide very soon," Hazuki said.

"Hmm… alright, I have a plan," Kuroko said.

"What is it?" Kagami asked.

"The best place to hide a tree is in a forest," Kuroko looked at the nearby stores.

"...What?"

"He said, 'The best place to hide a...'"

"I heard what he said! I don't know what he means!"

Kise looked around frantically.

"That's so weird. They should be somewhere around here… Where on earth are they hiding?!"

"There shouldn't be anywhere for a huge guy like Kagami to hide," Kasamatsu said. "Kuroko's a different story, though. And that hooded guy could be anywhere."

Kise frowned. "What's up with that giant mannequin in the men's department? It's got a really tense-looking face for a mannequin, and I feel like I've seen it somewhere before. Plus, it has red hair… Well, I guess it's just my imagination. Let's keep moving, Captain."

Kasamatsu could almost feel some of the years of his life leave as tick marks sprouted on his forehead.

"Are you blind?! That's obviously Kagami!"

"Whoa, no kidding!" Kise gaped.

"Shit! It didn't work, Kuroko!" Kagami sprinted off.

Kise looked around frantically. "Kurokocchi's gotta be nearby! Where is he?"

Kagami pointed off. "Over there."

Kise looked at that direction.

"Eh?" he asked. "No, he's not—!"

Kagami ran off immediately at that phrase.

"Hey, stupid!" he yelled, pulling a face. "Catch me if you can!"

This really is a tag game now, Hazuki thought.

"That's the last straw!" Kise shouted. "Wait for me, damn it!"

"Get a hold of yourself, Kise!" Kasamatsu lectured. "And where the heck did Kuroko go? Well, finding him would be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Probably."

He ran after the two.

"I...was right here the whole time." Kuroko blinked at the three figures disappearing in the distance.

"Don't feel too bad," Hazuki said. "I'm surprised that they didn't find me. My red hoodie stands out weirdly against all these mens' clothes."

"I'm almost not sure if I want to go after them," he said.

Hazuki patted him on the head with her long hoodie sleeves. "Unfortunately we might have to go look for Kagami-kun... he'll forget about the limited edition shoes at this rate."

"Unfortunately," Kuroko agreed.

"By the way, are you sure Kise-kun is not in love with you? He only kept yelling 'Kurokocchi' and not 'Kagamicchi.'"

"...Fujidana-san..."

"Sorry."

Kagami groaned as he turned yet another corner. "I'm totally worn out..."

Kuroko raised a hand. "Kagami-kun."

"Whoa—!" he yelped. "Quit sneaking up behind me!"

"I've been right behind you all along," Kuroko said.

Hazuki lips twitched a bit. Kuroko nudged her lightly.

"Damn it… Man, they're such a pain in the neck," Kagami muttered. "They're as bad as you are when it comes to never giving up."

"I'm flattered," Kuroko said.

"That wasn't a compliment!"

"Am I bad at giving up too?" Hazuki asked.

"Argh!"

"...But what do we do now?" Kuroko asked. "The plan we used just now probably won't work a second time."

"It didn't even work the first time!"

"If we had managed to put some powder on you, you might have looked more realistic," Hazuki agreed.

"That's not how it works!" he retorted.

"At any rate, they're going to catch us sooner or later unless we come up with another plan," Kuroko said.

"We've got to think of something..." Kagami muttered.

Kise spotted them from a distance yet again. "Found you!"

"See?" Kuroko sighed.

"Uwaaaah!" Kagami yelled and dragged Kuroko and Hazuki away.

"Uh," Hazuki said. "If I'm not wrong, those look like a lot of bras..."

"Kagami-kun! This leads to the women's lingerie department!" Kuroko said trying to escape from his clutches.

"I know that! But we've got to shake them off somehow!"

"Aaaaah! Pervert!" a female shopper shrieked. "Perverts!"

"I'm not..." Hazuki protested, slowing down. "Sorry."

"What're they thinking?!" Kise sweatdropped. "Guess I don't have a choice. Here I go—!"

"Go where!?" Kasamatsu demanded. "KISE!"

"Aaaaah! He's so dreamy!" The female shopper sighed in delight.

"Um, excuse me, those two screams sounded completely different!" Kagami yelled. "And Kuroko's gone missing again!"

"Wait up!" Kise ran past Kuroko, who had completely stopped to catch his breath and Hazuki, who was apologizing and explaining to the female shopper.

"How long are you guys planning to keep this up?! What about the limited edition?" Kasamatsu shouted from outside of the lingerie store.

"I'm right here..." Kuroko stared at the running Kise and Kagami.

Kagami put his hands on his knees, panting in exhaustion.

"I can't take any more," he grumbled. "This is worse than the sprints we ran yesterday. And where am I? The outdoor department?! All I wanted was to buy a pair of basketball shoes..."

"This is one intense game of tag and hide-and-seek," Hazuki said to Kuroko in the tent they were hiding in.

"Huh? Fujidana?" Kagami looked around.

"Kagami-kun," Kuroko said muffly.

"What? Eh? Where are you?" he asked.

Kuroko unzipped the tent and waved. "Right here."

"In a tent?!" Kagami tsukommied.

"We should be safe in here," Kuroko said. "Let's come up with a plan."

"Desperate times, I guess," Kagami sighed and got into the tent, zipping it up. "Hey, it's pretty cramped in here."

"I think it's pretty cozy," Hazuki hummed.

Kuroko looked at the top of the tent. "It's because you're so tall, Kagami-kun. Bear with it, please."

"Damn it," Kagami groaned. "So, what're we gonna do?"

Kuroko raised a finger to his lips. "Shhh. Here they come."

Footsteps began echoing outside of the tent.

"That's so strange!" Kise mumbled. "My intuition tells me they should be somewhere around here..."

"What kind of intuition is that?" Kasamatsu asked.

Kagami began to panic. "This is bad! They're gonna find us! They're gonna make me pay 500,000 yen!"

Kuroko waved. "Calm down! They can't see us from the outside."

"But—"

Kise sighed dramatically. "Kurokocchi and Kagamicchi are so heartless..."

"Haven't you had enough?" Kasamatsu asked. "They obviously hate you."

"Don't be so blunt about it! That cuts deep, you know?"

The three of them inside sweatdropped at his dramatics.

Kasamatsu frowned. "Wait, weren't you saying something to them earlier?"

Kise started. "Eh? Hmm… What did I say…? Oh, that's right, I said, 'You haven't forgotten what we talked about the other day, have you?'"

"I don't know why, but right after you said that, Kagami's face blanched and they took off."

"Is that right?"

"What did you mean when you said that?"

"That I haven't forgotten about getting my revenge!"

"Oh...! I wonder if..." he trailed off.

"Eh?"

"Remember at the practice game, when the coach snapped and told them to pay for the broken hoop?"

"Yes, I do."

"...I think Kagami might have misunderstood what you said and thought you were talking about making him pay for the hoop."

"Eh?! That's the problem?!"

"We already spoke to the principal of their school and settled everything. For starters, we're partly to blame for continuing to use a piece of old, worn-out equipment. In fact, we should be grateful that he broke it before there was an serious accident. I guess their coach didn't tell him what happened."

"No way! That's the reason they've been running away from me?!"

Kuroko and Hazuki looked at Kagami.

"So that's what happened," Kagami sighed in relief. "Wait, why're you looking at me like that, Kuroko? And Fujidana!"

"No reason."

"Well, it all ended fine, so that's good."

"Don't look at me like that!" Kagami protested.

Hazuki smiled and unzipped the tent.

Well, next time we run into them, we can just explain what happened," Kasamatsu said. "But more importantly, if we don't hurry—"

The department store's PA system began chiming.

"I have an announcement for our customers," the announcer said. "As a result of your patronage, the special sale on sports shoes in the sports department on the tenth floor has sold out and will now come to an end."

The system chimed again.

"Uh oh," Hazuki frowned as she crawled out.

"Kiiiiseeeee—!" Kasamatsu bellowed.

"Uh…yes?" Kise gulped.

"We missed our chance!" he roared. "And it's all your fault! Eat this! Dropkick!"

Kasamatsu leaped and aimed to kick Kise. He covered his head and ducked down, therefore allowing the kick to go to the unfortunate and unsuspecting Hazuki.

"Ow!" she yelped.

"Gaaaah!" Kise shouted on the floor, thinking that he had been hit.

"What's happening?" Kagami asked. "Wait, where's Fujidana!?"

Kuroko looked at the unzipped tent and widened his eyes.

"Don't hurt me Captain!" Kise shrieked on the ground.

Kasamatsu blinked at the realization that the kick hit the hoodie person that he saw with the Kuroko and Kagami.

Hazuki rubbed her bruised forehead groggily.

"Oh shoot," Kasamatsu's eyes widened. "Are you alright?"

Kuroko crawled out of the tent. "Fujidana-san!"

Kise looked up from his squashed position at him. "Kurokocchi!"

"What's going on?" Kagami came out.

"Kagamicchi!"

"That's where you were hiding!?" Kasamatsu exclaimed.

"Don't make it sound like we were hiding from you," Kagami said defensely. "Listen, Kise. We haven't been running away, got it? We just thought the basketball shoes would sell out if we didn't hurry."

"Eh? So that's what this was about after all?"

"Ah no," Hazuki said. "We thought that we were going to have to pay 500,000 yen."

Kuroko bent to look at her bruised forehead in concern. "What happened just now?"

"Erm, I'm not sure... all I remember was seeing the bottom of a shoe..."

Kasamatsu bowed apolgetically. "I'm terribly sorry. I was aiming for this idiot over here. In any case..."

Kise felt his back prickle in fear.

"KISE!" Kasamatsu yelled. "Don't dodge next time!"

"EH!? Captain that's uncalled for!"

"Come here and let me kick you in redemption!" he yelled. "You made me kick someone else!"

"Eh... NOO!" Kise scrambled up and ran towards the others to hide.

Kasamatsu ran after him with his arms outstretched to catch him. Kise dodged once more and hid behind the others at the last minute, leading to poor Hazuki being accidentally grabbed by the front of the shirt and lifted up.

The red hoodie, which had been covering her head and shadowing her face, fell back, revealing her face to be clearly to Kasamatsu and Kise.

"Eh, Fujidanacchi?!" Kise asked.

Hazuki gave a small squeak that sounded a bit like 'help.'

Kasamatsu's face grew from enraged to full-blown embarrassed red.

"I-I'm so sorry!" he let go immediately and began bowing again and again in apology.

She blinked, a bit winded. Kuroko put his hands lightly on her shoulder to steady her.

"Um, it's alright," she waved off.

"NO-NO IT'S NOT!"

"What happened?" Kagami asked.

"How did you manage to keep standing after Kasamatsu-senpai's kick and that!?" Kise asked, flabbergasted and impressed.

"Now is not the time Kise-kun," Kuroko gave him a frown which shut him up.

"Ah, sorry Fujidanacchi," Kise said sheepishly at the lack of delicacy.

"You kicked her?" Kagami asked, still confused, to a bumbling and red faced Kasamatsu.

"Ah, Captain was aiming for me and I dodged," Kise explained. "And she was accidentally hit instead."

"...Seriously?"

"I kicked a woman... I kicked a woman..." Kasamatsu muttered again and again.

Kuroko slid Hazuki's bangs out of the way and put a bandaid on her forehead.

"Thanks Kuroko-kun," Hazuki said, rubbing her forehead.

"That's some seriously bad luck," Kagami said.

"And it all was because of your decision to come here," Kuroko gave him a look.

"Hey, it was partially Kaijou's captain's fault too!" he protested.

"I think I'm fine," Hazuki waved it off. "More like, is Kasamatsu-senpai alright? He looks a little broken."

They all turned to a still mortified Kasamatsu, who was muttering and stuttering incoherent words.

Hazuki walked over to him and waved in front of his face. "I'm really alright. I wasn't standing that close to you guys, so it was just a small scrape."

"That explains it," Kise said thoughtfully. Kuroko gave him another look.

"I-I'm... that's still no justification for tha-that!" Kasamatsu stuttered, his face still red. "I still hit you on the he-head..."

"...We're just going to be here all day at this rate," Kagami said.

"And whose fault was that?" Kuroko said to him.

"Like I said, only partially my fault! Jeez!"

A security guard ran over, blowing on his whistle. "What are you teenagers doing, running around the mall insanely!? YOU MORONS!"

"Run!" Kagami yelled.

"I'm surprised that it took them this long to appear," Kuroko said.

"There's time for your observations!"

They all sprinted off in the opposite direction, Kise dragging Kasamatsu in tow.
