Though a beginner in Pokémon Battle, the power of his signature Dragon Pulse combined to his tenacity makes him a fighter not to underestimate. And even with that, his Nature manages to be Gentle …

Lapras

Bio: a young Lapras separated from her school by a storm, she was found by Ash and bonded with him. During the journey, the group used her as transport alongside Odin. At the beginning, Lapras lacked in strength but her skills with her low-level move set was rather impressive. Spending time with elder and more experienced Pokémon helped balance both stats, hence the reason of her rather strange move poll. Now, thought still quite young, the girl is a force to be reckoned with, especially with Freeze Dry to her arsenal. When she met with her school, her loyalty to Ash made her stay with him, but not before her mother joined her.

Onix

Origins: Orange Archipelago, Sunburst Island

Bio: a crystal Onix encountered on Sunburst Island, she was rescued by the group from a team of Rocket Rebels who wanted to capture her. Ash caught her in the ensuring scuffle and Onix decided to stay to keep herself safe. Due to her crystal body, her properties are different from the other Onix. She is pure Rock type and fears Fire, but can easily swim in water. She was one of Lapras's mentors and acts as a cool lady in the team. Ash was surprised to learn she was a she.

Snorlax

Bio: a Pokémon caught not through battling but by negotiating, he and Ash have an agreement. He can eat and sleep as much as he wants, but if Ash needs his strength, he'll have it. He is incredibly strong and able to shrug super-effective moves like mosquito bites but, behind this massive size and strength is a heart as big as he is. Kinda the big brother of the team.

Bio: a Shiny Pokémon Ash rescued from a landslide and a giant Pidgeot, she is young and wished to become stronger, something she achieved during the fight against Mega-Dragonite, during which she was the first of Ash's Pokémon to mega-evolve. Bio: a little Pokémon Silver received from his best friend, he came to replace Odin after the Articuno became the new Titan of Ice. Silly, playful and overall quite temperamental, he hasn't appeared much so far.

Bio: The second Star brother who stayed with Misty rather than going to the Cerulean Gym, he evolved after receiving a Water Stone in congratulation for learning Psychic. He is still as hot-blooded as a Staryu and one of Misty's strongest fighters with Omastar.

Vaporeon

Bio: an Eevee Misty found in a shipwreck, she was impressed by his relentlessness in defeating a Carnivire and only caught him after Starmie defeated him. The two quickly became close, to the point he nearly became an Espeon before Misty decided to make him evolve. It was prevented by Fergus giving him a Water stone, but he still ended with Confusion up his arsenal. Personality-wise, Vaporeon is tenacious, merciless and a loner at heart. He's less boisterous than Ruby, though, and has a tightly-hidden heroic side.

Bio: a cute little Poliwag Misty met upon looking for the thieves of the Tide Pendant, he helped her retrieve the item and chose to stay out of simple liking. Misty kept him because he helped and is rather cute. Very cheerful, he has the mentality of a child.

Bio: one of Tracey's teammates, he helps his Trainer with his extremely keen eyes. He is as cheerful as Poliwag, even less disciplined and has amounts of energy as huge as he's small.

Bio: Tracey's second most used Pokémon, she had incredible ears and acts as the mother of the team. Because of it, she serves as a nanny to Axew, Togepi and sometimes Venonat and gets perfectly along with Mightyena.

Bio: the last of Tracey's original Pokémon, he serves as a mount and may look like he's spacing out, but in fact is a deep thinker and the one who makes plans in the team.

Bio: an old Scyther the group met during their journey, he had been cast out by his swarm and at first refused to join Ash due to the boy's pacifistic tendencies. When Ash broke out of it, he chose to have Tracey catch it so his friend had a real battler in his team. Gruff and lonely, he is incredibly strong and though his old age makes him weaker, he still has many years of experience behind him. And it shows.
