"Daddy! I made an A today!" Kelly cheered though she expected no responce as she smiled where her daddy lied. "Then Gery Donivan pulled on my hair, Edd said he was just telling me he likes me, but he's gross! One time he picked his nose...then he ATE it!" The blonde squeeled making a gaging noise. Double Dee kept his distance letting the girl have time with her father as she spoke about her week the smile never leaving her freckled face. Her long hair was braided with a large bow at the end that swang as she swayed softly.

"Daddy, I miss you..." Edd felt his heart clutch, almost stopping. Tears, unannounced, filled his eyes and he had to swallow a sob. "Jeffery does to...as well as Double Dee." She had started to whisper, though Edd could still hear, the dark haired man covered his face as tears started to fall. "He misses you alot, he still cries at night, he doesn't know I can hear it." Blue eyes squeezed shut hoping to stop the flood gates, God Kevin he missed you.

"You told me to tell you if someone was crying, so you could make it better, well I'm telling you now, so you better fix it." Kelly commanded before putting her hands on her hips. Looking down at her father who sadly didn't twitch, she knew he was in a long sleep because he had gotten hurt by protecting Double Dee. Nat said the bad guy that had did it was dead now, Kelly felt bad but she was happy the man was gone, he had hurt two people importaint to her. Now her daddy was in a bed, while the hole in his chest was getting better, she wanted him to hurry up and get better but Double Dee said it didn't work like that they had to be patentice. She just wanted Daddy home, and for Double Dee to be happy again.

Leaning down she kissed his cool skin. "Love you daddy, wake up soon okay?" She glanced back at Double Dee, "We need you." The seven year old then slid off the bed moving to Eddward to wrap her arms around him and squeeze. "It's okay Double Dee, he'll get better soon." Petting his hat covered head Kelly smiled and walk towards the hospital door, "I'm going to see uncle Nat, you should talk to daddy." Edd nodded not looking up, as she closed the door.

Wiping his blue eyes Eddward stood on shaky legs and moved to the bed, the constant beep on the heart montor gave them hope, and the fact that he was breathing on his own, adding even more hope he would wake up any moment. "Oh Kevin." Edd gave a shaky breath as he brushed a red bang from the unusally pale face. "Please come back to me." The dark haired male sat on the edge of the bed laying his head on Kevin's collar bone, "I can't do this with out you." Eddward sobbed as the tears began again running down his still slick cheeks and soaking Kevin's hospital gown.

Edd's shoulders shook as cried, blinded by his tears, until they were wiped away. Wait...what?
