Tai and Koromon stood in awe of what was in front of them.
"No way!"Tai said
"What happened?"Koromon asked
"We must have been pulled through some dimensional opening between digi world and this one."Tai replied "Where ever this one is. I bet that opening is the same way I got to DigiWorld. But where are we now? They look like human beings and this looks like Earth, but is it really?"
"I don't know i've never been here before."Koromon replied
"This can't be."Tai replied shocked "This looks like a park I played in as a kid. I think were in my home town."
"NO WAY!"Koromon cried
"Yeah" Tai said looking around and noticing some familiar buildings "That's the Toy Factory, and that's city hall over there."
"Tai I don't mean to cut this sightseeing trip a little short, but have you noticed that I'm not MetalGreymon anymore I'm back to being Koromon."
"Unbelievable" Tai said still shocked "This can't be real."
"It feels real to-"Koromon started and before he could finish a ball was kicked in his face.
The orange ball rolled back to a little girl with pig tails. Tai realized the girl at that moment.
"HEY!"Tai shouted
"HU?" the little girl asked
"Tell me something is this world for real or am I imaging it?"Tai asked
"Wha?" The little girl asked
The little girl then looked down at Koromon.
"We just want to know if you're a real human being."Koromon said
"Yeah please tell us."Tai replied "Are you a real girl or a digital girl."
About that time the little girl started to tear up and cry.
"What'd I do? Did I say something bad to her?"Koromon asked
"You scared her, now she is going to tell the park police."Tai said
Koromon was shocked and worried.
"AH! The police will they arrest me for making her cry?"Koromon asked "Save me Tai there going to get me."
Tai just then noticed the group of people staring at his partner. Tai quickly dropped down and covered Koromon's mouth.
"Listen pretend you're a soccer ball."Tai said
Tai tucked Koromon in his arms and started to run out of the park.
"Now chill so I can find out what's going on."Tai said
Tai stopped running and he took in more of the sights around him.
'This place really does look like my home town. 'Tai thought
The two walked to his apartment. Tai stood out front of his apartment scared to go in.
"I don't know what to expect. Everything has been so weird lately. Being in the DigiWorld, i've lost track of time. I wounded are they even going to recognize me."Tai said
"You won't know unless we go in."Koromon said
"Right."Tai said
Tai reached for the handle and turned it. The door opened easily.
"It's unlocked, they must be home."Tai said
Tai started to have memories of the little things around that door. After his musings Koromon decided to speak.
"Tai can I make a suggestion?"Koromon asked
"Hu?"Tai asked
"Open the door."Koromon said slowly.
"Here we go."Tai said
He opened the door and peaked into the small apartment.
"Hello, look their shoes are here...Mom? Dad?"Tai called
Tai walked into the apartment and the door closed behind him.
"No one is answering, maybe there out."Koromon suggested
"I wondered where they've gone."Tai said
"Maybe they went to DigiWorld."Koromon said simply
"THAT'S NOT FUNNY!"Tai shouted
Tai walked over to the refrigerator and pulled out a can of coke. He opened it and enjoyed the crisp flavor that went down his throat.
"Hey Tai over here I'm thirsty."Koromon said
"Sorry it's the last one you should have asked for one before I finished drinking."Tai said
Koromon's ears became straight and he started to shout:
"I can't believe you would be so stingy!"
"I was just joking cry baby."Tai said
"Really?"Koromon asked
"I left you half of it."Tai replied
Tai gave Koromon the can and Koromon put the whole thing in his mouth and started to drink.
"I sure wish I knew where my family was."Tai said as he closed the door to the refrigerator. "And how long i've been gone."
It was then Tai noticed the calendar on the fridge.
"YES!"Tai shouted
Koromon jumped in surprised and spit the can of coke out.
"Don't scare me like that!"Koromon cried
"It's been right in front of me! Today is August 1st the same day we landed in DigiWorld."Tai said
"We've gone back in time?"Koromon asked
"Yeah, this is the day the digivices dropped in our hands and this whole crazy adventure began. Which reminds me this is the day that my mom and dad planned to visit my grandmother who lived just outside of the city."
Tai walked over to the wall calendar.
"See my mom marked the date on this calendar where she wouldn't forget. They must have taken my little sister Kari with them. That's why no one is home now Cool!"Tai said "Then let's just kick back and wait for them to come home."
"Speaking of time, it's time to eat!"Koromon said
"Hold your digi horses! I just learned i've reliving a day I've already lived!"Tai cried
"Sorry Tai."
"No I'm sorry Koromon. I didn't mean to yell, but this same hour, minute, and second have already occurred except I'm home this time. Does that mean I have a twin living in some parallel world?"
About that time a yawn was heard through the apartment.
"What was that?"Koromon asked
"HU?"Tai asked
"Here that?"Koromon asked
About that time a door opened and Tai heard a familiar voice:
"Hi Tai."
Tai turned around and was shocked to see his little sister wearing her light orange pj's.
"Kari?"Tai asked "You're here? Mom and dad left you here? All alone?"
Kari was leaning up against the door of her and Tai's bed room.
"I'm a big girl."Kari replied "Hi Koromon"
"Kari how do you know his name?"Tai asked
"Maybe she knows my name because my sister is a lot smarter then you."Koromon said
Tai slammed his hands on Koromon's head. About that time Tai heard another familiar giggle. He looked towards the door and saw a familiar sandy brown headed girl. She was wearing a yellow jacket half way zipped, a teal t-shirt and blue jean shorts. She had a backpack on her back and a soccer ball tucked under her arm. Around her wrist was a familiar blue bracelet.
"Wow, Koromon is so cool. "She said
"Hayden!? You know Koromon's name two?"Tai asked "How do you and Kari know Koromon's name?"
"I don't know I just knew it."Kari said
"I have a weird explanation."Hayden replied
"I don't get it!"Tai said
"It's like I met him before that's why I'm not afraid. Right Hayden you feel the same way right?"Kari asked
Hayden nodded and said:
"Yeah. It's like dejavu all over again...and i for one like every day to be different."
"That's impossible you two this is the first time he has been out of DigiWorld."Tai said
"Maybe that's where we met."Hayden said
"But, you and Kari have never been to DigiWorld."Tai countered "Wait have you two?"
"I don't know I think so..."Kari replied
"It's near your camp right?"Hayden asked
'Maybe Kari and Hayden have been to DigiWorld...Kari does have the camp whistle and Hayden has a child bracelet.' Tai thought
Koromon and Kari sat on the couch and played patty cake, while Hayden sat in the floor at the table across from them writing in her notebook.
'Maybe the two of them go to camp in the future then get sucked into the digital world, and comes back before me.' Tai thought 'I don't know, this moving back and forth between time dimensions is whacked. I don't know if they're here or now or then and there.'
A few minutes later Tai was checking Kari's and his forehead while Koromon was asleep in Kari's arms.
"What's wrong Tai?"Kari asked
"Nothing."Tai said
"Then why do you think I have a fever?"Kari asked
"Hu?"Tai asked
"I'm not sick and Hayden and i've been to DigiWorld."
"Well I think we have where else could you have found a Koromon?"Hayden asked
"The Toy Store!"Tai said quickly
"Oh please."Kari replied
"You know I better call everyone else house and see if they made it home to."Tai said
Tai started calling on the phone.
"He does know that no one else is back right?"Hayden asked
Kari just shrugged her shoulders. After calling everyone Tai turned back to the two little girls.
"Hayden is Melody home?"Tai asked
"No, I'm staying with Kari until she gets home remember?"
Tai's face became a hard frown while looking at his digivice.
"Tai...Tai.."Kari said
Tai looked at Kari and Hayden.
"I know you're hungry there is food in the fridge that Hayden made or you can have my left over pie."Kari said
"I call dibs first this time!"Koromon cried
"I've got a better idea I'll make us a healthy breakfast!"Tai said walking in the kitchen.
"Alright! It's been a while since i've had Tai's breakfast!"Hayden cheered
Kari and Hayden sat at the table and waited for Tai to finish cooking.
"Hayden can I see your notebook?"Kari asked
Hayden nodded and handed Kari the notebook. Kari opened to the notebook to the page she was on and started to read out loud.
"Matt. Tai, Sora, Joe, and Mimi sat around the campfire eating and trying to figure out how to save Melody. TK sat a little ways away with the digimon, except Renamon."
Tai turned to Kari.
"Where did you hear that?"Tai asked
"It's from Hayden's dream notebook. She's been having dreams of like theses of you guys in the DigiWorld."Kari replied
"You've seen all of our adventures?"Tai asked
Hayden blushed lightly and nodded. Tai was amazed then just went back to cooking. Kari, Hayden, and Koromon went into Kari's and Tai's room to play.
"It's done come and get it!"Tai shouted
Kari, Hayden, and Koromon ran into the room and got to the table.
"It's good to be home."Koromon and Tai said
Kari and Hayden just stared at the two. The two of them then dug in. Kari and Hayden then looked disgusted.
"YUM!"Kari said
"Tai you never cook this good, did you learn at camp?"Hayden asked
"Yeah my friend Matt taught me when it switch to DigiWorld."Tai said
Kari took a bite then passed her plate to her brother and Koromon then she watched them eat happily. Hayden finished her plate and then she and Kari both sipped their water. It wasn't long before the food was completely gone.
"Man I'm so full I won't have to eat for a year."Tai said
At that moment Koromon started acting weird.
"Hey what's wrong?"Hayden said
"I gotta go, I better go rest."Koromon said
"Don't go hide in the bathroom!"Kari cried
Koromon jumped off the table and ran to the bathroom. Hayden and Kari followed. Koromon sat on the commode while Kari stood by the door and Hayden crouched down beside her.
"How embarrassing why do you wanna hang out with someone who is such a pig?"Koromon asked
"Because you're cute."Kari replied
"And plus we hang out with Tai."Hayden replied
"Really?"Koromon asked the two girls
"Yeah."Hayden and Kari replied
"Do you wanna hear what happen to me at school?"Kari asked "One day we took a field trip and I slipped and fell in a pig pen. The kids were laughing at me till Tai jumped in. You know what he did he played in the mud with me like I did it on purpose. He also pulled Melody in with us. Hayden jumped in happily. Tai does bug me sometimes, but he is the coolest big brother in the world."Kari said
"Yeah."Koromon said jumping off the commode.
"Are you done?"Hayden asked walking in
Koromon nodded and Hayden flushed the commode. Tai walked over to the couch and laid down on it. He then turned on the TV and the air conditioner.
'How can he be so relaxed when the others are falling apart...not to mention my sister? 'Hayden thought
"I'm really back..."Tai said happily
The wind chime starts to jingle with the air.
"I use to hate that wind chime, but now I love it," Tai said "And I really miss sitting around and watching TV with my friends. I miss mom scolding dad for not hanging up his shirts. Boy it's good to be home."
Tai started to yawn and soon the leader of the digidestin was in a light daze. Tai woke up to see familiar digimon; he jumped up from his seat.
"Meramon...and there is Seadramon...What, what is Frigimon doing here? Could someone please tell me what's going on here? The digimon are clearly on the TV screen, but the reporter has mentioned them."Tai said
Kari, holding Koromon, and Hayden stood behind the other small couch.
"Finally someone else can see them."Kari said
"Hu?!"Tai asked turning to the two "Are you saying the two of you can see the monsters two?"
"For a long time now, mom and dad don't believe us they just believe that we watch to many scary movies...but Hayden doesn't like Scary movies."Kari replied
"Kari...Hayden."Tai said
Soon the TV shut off and the electronics went haywire. The three kids heard beeping noises...Tai reached in his pocket and pulled out his digivice.
"What's going on my digivice is going haywire!"Tai cried
It was at that moment that the computer came on that got Kari's, Hayden's, and Tai's attention.
"Hu?! What's wrong with the computer Tai?"Kari asked
Hayden walked over to it.
"Tai there is someone on the computer!"Hayden cried
Tai and Kari ran over.
"Can you hear me?"A familiar face said
"Izzy?!"Tai asked
"We...Danger..."Izzy said breaking up
"IZZY?! IZZY?!"Tai cried
"They...don't...there...isn't...Where you maybe...don't come back here."
Tai gripped the computer tightly.
"Izzy I can't just do that...I can't just leave you guys there! I have to come back...I might be your only chance."Tai cried
"New monsters...total chaos..."
"Izzy can you hear me? Izzy?"Tai cried "I need help with the digivice."
"You're...better...off...where you are...Don't come back..."
Izzy started to vanish from the monitor.
"IZZY! IZZY! IZZY CAN YOU HEAR ME!? IZZY!"Tai cried
Soon Izzy vanished. Hayden felt something was really wrong.
"While were here safe at home my friends are in trouble."Tai said looking down at his digivice.
Kari, Hayden, and Koromon looked at Tai worriedly.
"What now?"Koromon asked
"I don't know Koromon...I just don't know."Tai replied "Two worlds are in danger and I can't do a thing about it...I feel totally usless. I know this digivice is powerful to do something! But I don't have a clue how to make it work."
Tai looked over at his partier and the two little girls who were his little sisters.
"Oh man I should just quite while I'm a head."Tai said
"but Tai you can't!"Hayden replied
"Why can't I?!"Tai said sharply "What am I going to do throw the digivice at the monsters and hope they run away!?"
"Come on Tai just relax...Eat some watermelon."Kari said
Hayden got two plates out while Kari placed the watermelon on them. Tai went to his and Kari's room to lay down. Hayden walked in with his plate of watermelon slices. She sat them on the desk. Tai turned to her and said:
"Thank Hay."
Hayden just nodded and rushed out of the room. Tai just stayed there his mind racing with thoughts.
'Kari's right I do need to relax and chill out. Maybe an idea of what to do will come to me." Tai looked over at the watermelon. "I hope."
Kari and Hayden ate a slice of watermelon and watched Koromon eat every peice other than the ones the girls are holding.
"If there is one thing that I do know, it is that I do love this watermelon."Koromon said
Hayden smiled at the small digimon.
'I can't believe such a small guy turns into Greymon.' Hayden thought
"It's sweet hu? You can eat all you want."Kari replied
"Wow I need another slice."Koromon replied "This world is great!"
"I'm glad you like it here on Earth, because you might be stuck here."Kari replied "You may not be returning to DigiWorld anytime soon."
The happy mood from Koromon vanished quickly.
'Wow Kari...great way to bust the little guys happiness.' Hayden thought
"But you are more than happy to live with us forever."Kari replied
'It didn't hit me till just now I may never get back to my home.' Koromon thought
About that time the phone started to ring. Kari and Hayden looked at each other. The two heard Tai snoring in their room. Kari stood up and went to the phone. Hayden was standing by her. Tai ran out of their room and looked at the two.
"Who is it?"Tai asked
"mhhh..mhmhh...mhmmh...I'll see you mom."Kari replied
"Let me hear!"Tai said grabbing the phone
Tai stood there like a statue listing to his mother on the phone. Kari watched her brother calmly, but Hayden couldn't deny the feeling of a storm coming. Tai soon slammed the phone down.
"What is happening Tai?"Hayden asked
"Now I understand...Earth is in just as much danger as the DigiWorld."Tai said
"How?"Koromon replied
"DigiWorld problems are slipping through the dimension."Tai said
"what can we do?"Koromon asked
"There is nothing we can do until I can figure out how to use the digivice to return to DigiWorld so we can fight the evil digimon. But we will be okay for now Koromon, this will be a nice break, here we have all kinds of food, candy, and stuff. We get to sleep in a soft bed we will be living large."Tai said shaking
'He's trying to convince himself more than Koromon.' Hayden thought
"Right."Koromon said sadly
"Sorry digi bud, there are a whole lot of cool things to do out there...that satellite dish is more in tune with the world than we are. We can go to the beach, the movies, take Kari and Hayden shopping."Tai said
"Yeah."Koromon said almost crying
Tai looked down at his digivice.
"What am I talking about my friends are in trouble and I can't make this piece of techno junk work and I can't do a thing about it!"Tai said turning around and getting ready to throw his digivice.
However, before he could throw it the apartment started to shake.
"What's that?"Koromon asked
"EARTHQUAKE!"Tai shouted running to the balcony door
Hayden let Koromon jump in her arms and she followed. Kari walked slowly behind her brother and best friend.
"What is it Seadramon again?"Tai asked
The group then noticed the river rose in the air. It was at that moment that Tai, Hayden, Kari, and Koromon noticed the digimon in the river.
"Tai who is that?!"Hayden asked
"Oh no Tyrannomon!"Tai cried "What's he gonna do?"
Tyrannomon shot out a fireball and it luckily missed the buildings, but was super close to hitting the bridge.
"NO!"Tai cried
Tai ran back into the apartment. Kari had already walked back in. Hayden ran in and stood beside her. Tai ran over to his shoes and was putting them on.
"Hey what about Me, Kari, and Hayden?"Koromon asked
"They stay here."Tai said then turned to the girls "Koromon and I have to find that dimensional rift."
Koromon jumped into Tai's arms.
"We have to find a way to get to DigiWorld."Tai said running out the door
"No."Kari cried
Tai and Koromon ran out of the apartment complex and onto the street only to see Tyrannomon vanish. However, the ground next to them was destroyed. A familiar digimon came up out of the ground.
"It's Drimojimon!"Tai shouted running towards the digimon
Tai and Koromon made it to Drimojimon.
"There he is!"Tai said
However, Drimojimon started to vanish.
"NO! Maybe this is a dream!"Tai said
Tai could barely make out the sounds of a reporter from some TVs.
"The digimon are being pulled back and forth through the dimensional rift."Tai said "We have to find it and find a way back to DigiWorld before those monsters destroy Earth and DigiWorld. It's going to take all of us working together to stop these monsters. WE HAVE TO GET BACK!"
Koromon jumped to the ground.
"Even if we did I couldn't help you."Koromon said hopping off "No matter how much I have eaten I still can't seem to digivole so I can't fight. I'd just get in the way."
Tai walked over to his buddy.
"I need you Koromon. We can't win unless we fight as a team."Tai said "Don't you give up now."
About that time Tai and Koromon heard a familiar voice:
"TAI KOROMON! WAIT FOR ME I WANNA GO WITH YOU!"
"Kari! Wait Tai said stay put! Oh now I know how my sister feels!" Hayden said
Tai turned and saw Kari running up to him, with Hayden trailing her. Koromon turned also and was shocked to see Kari and Hayden. Tai placed a hand on both girls shoulder.
"Hayden Kari you two can't go with us it is too dangerous!"Tai said
"Please Tai...Please! Kari cried
It was then that Koromon saw a familiar figure across the street.
"Its orgermon! Tai! Kari! Hayden! Its Orgermon," Koromon cried
The three kids looked at the digimon then across the street. They saw Orgermon standing behind the people who were continuing on with their everyday lives.
"What is he doing? He's just standing there waiting for the light to change!"Tai said
"How can they not see him!"Hayden cried
Tai had pushed Hayden and Kari behind him.
"Maybe if we wait he'll just disappeared like the others."Tai said
As soon as the light turned green Orgermon charged at the kids, but changed his tactics when he saw Koromon. Koromon jumped and dogged it. Tai covered Hayden and Kari blocking them from the attack.
"Are you two okay?"Tai asked them
"Koromon?!"Kari asked looking around
Tai turned and looked around for the two digimon.
"Hu? Koromon where are you?"Tai shouted
"He's up there!"Hayden shouted pointing up in the air.
Kari and Tai followed where the girl was pointing.
"WHA!?"Tai asked
"He's trying to fight that monster single handily!"Kari cried
Koromon and Orgermon jumped up a building. Kormon then jumped off another building with Orgermon right behind him and shouted:
"Bubble Blow!"
Tiny bubbles went towards Orgermon. The bubbles didn't do any damage.
Koromon jumped off another building and Orgermon flew into destroying some of it.
"Koromon digivole!"Tai shouted gripping his digivice tightly.
"I can't unless you use the digivice!"Koromon shouted
"I don't know why, but the digivice isn't working. You're going to have to digivole without it."Tai shouted
"I just can't!"Kormon said
"You can Koromon!"Kari replied
"Never give up Koromon!"Hayden shouted
Koromon gasped when he saw Orgermon coming towards him. Orgermon and Koromon both landed on the same building Orgermon destroyed. The three kids saw Koromon falling to the ground in pain.
"KOROMON!"Tai shouted "KOROMON DIGIVOLE!"
Tai's digivice started to glow. It was at that moment that Koromon finally started to digivole.
"Look the dimensional warp is opened up like a vacuum. Koromon help!"Tai shouted
Agumon finally finished digivoled and landed on the traffic light.
"Hurry Agumon!"Tai said as he noticed the rocks around him starting to get pulled the dimensional rift.
Orgermon charged at Agumon again.
"Pepper Breath!"Agumon shouted
The pepper breath hit Orgermon and he was sent flying into the dimensional rift.
"See you later!"Tai shouted
Agumon then started to get pulled into the dimensional rift.
"Agumon come back!" Tai shouted
"I'm needed in DigiWorld."Agumon said vanishing. "I'll never forget you my friends. Thanks for your help."
"Wait take me with you."Tai shouted "You still need my help."
Tai started to go after Agumon, but something grabbed his hand.
"Tai please stay with me."Kari begged
"No, go wait for mom and dad with Hayden."Tai said
Hayden felt like she shouldn't be there, but she needed to relay a message to Tai.
Kari walked forward and rested her forehead on Tai's back.
"I'm sorry."Kari said
"Why?"Tai asked
"I know you have to leave."
"I really do. Okay?"
"Okay."
"Agumon can't digivole without me. This is my fight to."Tai said raising his digivice in the air.
Soon Tai was being lifted off the ground.
"Please be careful."Kari said
Kari held Tai's hand as Hayden ran over.
"Taichi please save my sister."Hayden said
"I will Hay. I promise."Tai said
Hayden put her hands over Kari's. The two girls held Tai's hand the longest they could. Soon Tai's hand was completely out of Kari's and Hayden's grasp.
"GOODBYE KARI HAYDEN!"Tai shouted
"GOODBYE TAI!"Hayden shouted
"GOODBYE TAI! DON'T FORGET ABOUT ME!"Kari shouted
The dimensional rift closed and left Kari and Hayden standing on the side of the road. Kari quickly latched onto Hayden's hand.
"Hayden promise me something."Kari said
Hayden looked at her friend.
"Yeah anything."Hayden replied
"Promise me we'll get our own digimon and we'll help Tai and Melody save the digital world."Kari replied
Hayden smirked and said:
"Of Course!"
With that Hayden lead Kari back to her apartment.
Tai and Agumon found themselves standing in the digital world.
"Agumon were back in business! Now we just gotta figure out what our first move is."Tai cheered
"Well we have to find our friends. Then we have to make sure you and the others get home safely."Agumon replied
"Not until we conquer all the evil digimon or neither world will be safe."Tai replied
