Hey. This is Jess.

This particular piece focuses on the events as seen on the Black/White and Black2/White2 video games. Take this change into account as you read. I tried my best writing this considering I'm very fond of the game storyline and events. I'm sorry for taking so long to update (school) and I hope you enjoy~

Disclaimers: I believe we all know who owns Pokemon and the Pokemon games ;)

I've been through endless meadows and tough terrains.

The sudden changes in settings and challenges have taken their toll on my body and soul.

You might say I have had enough.

But I am not a girl who gives up so easily.

When you uttered those final words…what did you mean? Were you giving me a parting speech or hope for a day when we will meet once again?

I need to resolve this with you, face-to-face.

A memorable farewell was not enough. It never was.

Looker heard you had been seen in a distant land with a Dragon-type Pokemon…

I don't know.

…You must have known I'd come looking for you. Why else would you leave obvious clues in your wake?

Don't play stupid, N. You can't be that naive…

For once, let yourself be captured.

You told me to follow my dreams, to make them mine through reality, but…have you ever considered that you're my wildest dream?

Of course not. Why else would you leave despite my pleas?

I've already lost my Dad to death…

He was stolen from me. He will never be seen again.

I can never get him back, but you…

you, I can.

I've tried everything to get over you.

Nothing has worked. Not Cheren's sound advice. Not Bianca's constant distractions. Not even my mother's comfort.

I won't give up on you.

Don't even think about asking me to do so.

I didn't ask you to give up on your beliefs nor on your ideals…

Please. Just..don't.

You just can't accomplish things alone, N. Why can't you see that?

Remember the day your father and his evil organization were brought to their knees?

That wouldn't have happened without the help of the Gym Leaders. Not without Alder, Cheren, and even me. And especially not if you hadn't had a change of heart and joined my side before it was all too late.

Our fateful encounter has been all I have been thinking of since you left.

It's my endeavor; my greatest goal and most deepest wish.

I will find you.

I promise.

Young couples rushed past the brunette trainer to claim the available seats before the next ride.

White couldn't help but envy them. Whereas they were in a hurry, she had all the time in the world

It has been three years since she had came to the Ferris Wheel for the first time. At the time, it had seemed playful and almost innocent. But now, after the drastic revelation which took place in one of its tiny passenger cars, it seemed to taunt her in a merciless way. Every day before that particular afternoon seemed like a good day...without betrayals from a kindred soul and a simple change of destiny...everything was so simple back then.

A wave of nostalgia overwhelmed White's mind and soul. Everything since then has changed in many ways. Elesa's attire went from bright and cyber punkish to risqué and slightly glamorous. Even the people she often found waiting in the entrance to the ferriswheel had changed. The only one who remained in the end was dancer Dirk. White was glad for his availability. His presence there served to remind herself that not everything goes away after alterations are made. He challenged her to a pokemon battle and she won. But when he offered to accompany her to the next ferris wheel ride, she had to kindly refuse. She hadn't been on it: not after the last time...

Two years. Two years she had wasted on finding the man who went off on his journey of self discovery. She had followed the occasional sightings of a green-haired man who was accompanied by a dragon-type Pokemon and yet, nothing. It took her almost a whole year to prepare, to get as much information from Althea, Concordia and looker and yet, nothing came from it.

White suddenly felt something from behind her. It was more of an intuition: the same way she could always feel a wild pokemon covering itself beneath grass or dirt. Her suspicions were confirmed when a familiar voice said, "You're here..."

She turned. N. "It's you...it's really you..."

The tea-green haired man sat across from her on the swaying passenger car. He asked her for a ride on the ferris wheel and she didn't have the heart to refuse him: not after so long.

He hasn't changed one bit. Same shaggy hair. Same thoughful gaze. Same attire. Everything.

She thought she would be glad and maybe even cry at the mere sight of him. Instead, she was speechless. No words—no adequate ones—could be forced through her currently "o" shaped lips. Fortunately, he was more than willing to start their conversation with a simple question.

"How have you been, White?"

Touko smiled. If one looked close enough, they could see it was the opposite of a happy one. "Fine." N perked his head at the dangerously high-pitch her voice took on. "No thanks to you." She took a few seconds before making a verbal jab at him. "Three years. Three years I've been waiting for you. Where the heck were you?"

N didn't retort nor did he snap back. Instead, he explained himself in a civil manner. "I've been living at the ruins of the castle for a year."

The simplicity of his answer got to White. She had been flailing like a rampaging Pokemon and for what? Nothing. "You were here for an entire year and didn't tell me?"

"I needed to settle some things in secret."

Silence ensued. White took a few moments to enjoy the view of Nimbasa City. It was beautiful, yes, but...different. So many things have changed...

"There's something I want to tell you," N started. He interrupted White's train of thoughts.

She fixed a subdued glare on him. "What is it?"

"...I'm tired of wandering from place to place, of seeing new faces and to have them fade from my mental grasp…Just this once, I want to settle down and have one home and and companion in the same person."

Without realizing it, his arms involuntarily wrapped themselves around her tiny body.

White was shocked at first, stunned even, but then she leaned her head into the curve of his shoulder and allowed herself to concentrate in the bittersweet present. No words were spoken for the remainder of the ride: at least, no verbal words.

They greatly differed from one another. One seeked ideas while the other pursued truth. And yet they had one thing in common: They both hoped for a better tomorrow.

Thank you for sticking with me and I'll make sure to have the next update focused on the Pokemon Special world.
