Delphine had spent the majority of the afternoon trying to come up for a cute pet name for Cosima. It had been a disaster of course but the taller girl was extremely set on finding something that fit the shorter girl. They had gone through an array of pet names ranging from my poodle to my little crepe. It had been excruciating but highly amusing on Cosima's part though she could tell Delphine was getting frustrated with herself.
" My little croissant?" Delphine asked hopefully.
"Nope" Cosima said with a smile.
"But you are my little pastry, Cosima" Delphine said determined.
"No Delphine that is not a cute pet name." Cosima replied typing on her laptop.
"My little French fry?" she asked confused. Cosima shook her head no.
"Dearing." Delphine said snapping her finger determinedly.
"Did you just say dearing?" Cosima said standing up and walking to the other desk.
"Yes?" Delphine said coming up behind her.
"Right okay, thought so. That doesn't work either baby." Cosima said as Delphine wrapped her arms around her.
"Why not?" Delphine asked frustrated.
"It's either darling or dear. I don't even think dearing is word to be honest." Delphine pouted and rested her head on Cosima's shoulder. Suddenly her whole face lit up and she lifted her head
"My chouquette!" she exclaimed proudly.
Cosima let out an exasperated sight and chuckled. "Delphine, stop comparing me to food" she spoke.
"But you are delicious, non?" Delphine murmured kissing her neck. Cosima tilted her head towards Delphine and kissed her softly. The kiss broke and Delphine took a deep breath, then Delphine whispered softly against her lips
"Mon petit Camembert."
"Did you just compare me to stinky French cheese?"
"…maybe?"
Breaking away from the grasp, Cosima groaned loudly "You're insufferable, Cormier."
